Happy Monday to you all!

How was everyone's weekend? Did you get to rest up and enjoy yourselves, pamper yourselves even? I had another one of my busy-but-unproductive days. I don't know how that happens but it does, all of the time.
Everything that I had said that I wanted to work on didn't get done. Not one thing. I dunno what I did. :noidea:

Today is my day to get my act together. I am going to write down all that I need to do and go through that list. No excuses.
Taxes, food shopping prep and coupons are at the top of the list. Dusting needs to be up there too but it isn't a priority. And I have to call my mom. I meant to do that both days this weekend and didn't.

I must channel as much good energy that I have to get it all done. Go me!!!!! :cheer2:

HAGD!!!

Trudy- I am glad that the weather cooperated for you for the service even though there was no electricity. Happy Anniversary!!! 40 years is an amazing accomplishment! I love that wedding picture of you, so happy and ready to take on the world. Did you get out for dinner?
Yeah, the weather sure is weird. It is 25* now but will get to 51*

Nancy- Oh wow, poor Luther. He must have been limping really badly. How is he doing now? That was good that DH was able to take the train home to help out. What kind of harness does DH use? It is weird that Luther would still be able to pull that much?
Yuck about getting drenched in that rain. I am watching for my forsythia too. It is looking a bit hazy-green but hopefully, it won't bloom yet.

Rae- I am so so sorry to hear about Beckham and his visit. No, I am happy and relieved that you did get to see him but omg, how hard that must have been. I can't keep reading... it is too heartbreaking.
On a little OT note, I had a "moment" yesterday about my old dog, my soulmate. We had taught her to scratch at the door when she was ready to come in. Ray never got that even though we tried for years. We showed J how to do that a few times last year, then she was outside on a leash with us for so long after her surgery that we dropped it. But she remembered and scratches at the door now. I must have been distracted, or maybe it was thinking about Beckham because I heard the scratch and I thought it was Harley out there. I guess after 16 years of associating that sound with her, that a few years of not hearing it disappeared in a flash.
BTW-the photos of him will be an absolute treasure for them. You are an amazing lady and friend.

Thx for the names of the CLO- I will look at Puritans Pride to see if they have any like it.

Sharon- that sounds like an exhausting day. It wouldn't have been as bad without the delays but still... nice to be able to hop into the hot tub when you got home.
Why do people have to be such idiots with drinking and driving? 3x's over the limit? And no one said, Hey Dude, take a cab or walk? Thankfully, no one was killed. Sheesh.
How is your rescue dog doing? She starts her heartworm Tx soon, IIRC?

Better get some b-fast. I need to eat decently since today is a Tindamax day and that will upset my stomach if I am not careful.

Hugs!!!

good morning I did not stay up to see the final of the academy awards well I guess I missed the wrong movie being named. That was so weird but they handled amazingly gracefully! Luther seemed perfectly normal yesterday and this morning. No limp nothing. So this dog is making me crazy. My DH calls Luther pinch collar the torture collar makes me angry. I am taking Luther to vet this morning so I will talk to her about this reoccurring problem. Tonight is a Devils home game about the Montreal Canadiens so again my team will have to fight hard. The trades in the NHL have begun. It will be interesting to see if any of my players are gone by Wednesday. The AZ Coyotes traded with MN Wild and it looks like the Wild think this is their year. You could tell the players that left the Coyotes really did not want to go nor the teammates want to see them go. The good thing for the Coyotes is that the players can come back as they are UFA, meaning they are free agents July 1 and can sign with any team. Made a yummy dinner last night. Just a mac and cheese from Rachael Ray. But the boys are taking it for lunch so that is good.

I will try to come back later but have to get Luther off to vet!

I am done with car shopping. I got a new blue 2016 Honda Civic touring edition. I really wanted a bright green two-door Civic. But we wanted the safety features that come on the touring edition, so I have a four door blue one. This is one of the things I found so annoying. I love small cars but I still want the added features that come in larger cars. No one wants to offer me those. Not everyone buys little cars only because they are the right price. Some of us actually like them. (You know, the 4'10" people out there. lol)

Rae, I am so sorry about Beckham! I am glad you got that last time with him. (Can't write more or I'll cry. I don't do animal death well even if I've never met the animals.)

I am also a huge olive fan (except for the black ones). I wish I could find somewhere with so many different olives to try. I am gonna have to see what I can find.

Chris, I am sorry you had to do taxes. I am still holding off on that. lol

Morning ladies... Had a lovely day yesterday as we headed into Nanaimo the sun was shining brightly, the wind was from the North and very chilly. We walked all along the harbour and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and looking at all the sailboats etc. Then came across a huge crowd of people and to our surprise it was the Hometown Hockey Tour. We stopped in and checked out all the happenings there, picked up three jerseys for the grands and watched a bit of the hockey that was going on. They had an outdoor rink and lots of people skating and lots of small games of shiny. It was fun to see! Then back to our walk and later we hit Costco just for a few things and then to supper at "The Keg" We had a delicious dinner of Prime Rib, it was melt in your mouth good!! DH and talked about the past 40 years together , we can hardly believe how quickly the time has gone! Lots of laughter, love and yes some very hard years too, but we would do it all over again, well maybe minus the hard times LOL!

Chris - Your day yesterday sounds like many of my days, where sometimes I wonder what I actually did do??? Hope you manage to get organized and get your list of things done for the most part today! Thanks for the compliment on my wedding photo, we look so darn young, but we were 21 and 23, really not as young as some of our friends when they married, my one sister got married when she was just a baby of 15 that is way too young!!

Nancy - I couldn't believe it when they said that they had announced the wrong winner for best picture, WTH?? I still don't know what really went wrong there? I saw that movie Moonlight and also saw La, La Land and I don't think either one of them should have won LOL but the pickings were slim for really good movies this year. Sometimes I wonder what they think of when they pick who is in the running for Academy Nominations. It is obivously not what is the most popular of films. How sad about Luther, I hope that he is ok! That is strange that this limp only happens every so often. I hope you find out from the Vet what is going on and Luther feels well soon!! Nice that you got to stay to enjoy your evening of hockey! When we came across the Home Town Hockey event yesterday I immediately thought of you and how much you would have enjoyed all the goings on.

Rae - Awww that is so sad about Beckham! It is so hard to lose a good friend and our pets are just like family! He will no longer be in pain and that is good, but so very sad for you and especially his family! That is so nice of you to put together a photo book of him, I know his owners will treasure it! Today I am going to attempt a start on this new diet, it seems like I can eat most of the foods that I really like, but still need to learn so much more about it. I am scared of getting the Keto flu so I will be sure to drink lots and lots of water.

Ok I need to see what I have to get in the way of more groceries for this diet and get to the toy store too so I can find something for Sadie's upcoming birthday. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hi Cindy  we cross posted... I hope you love your new car!! Sorry that you could not get the one that you really wanted though. I love my CRV and have always loved the Honda line of vehicles. You would have loved my first Honda a orange Honda civic hatchback Very much like this one LOL. I adored it and was so sad when I had to sell it to move to another province and join my husband where he worked. I never forgave him for that :becky:

Good morning, ladies. I'm hoping today is the last day of all the work overload and I can get back to normal work hours. Got a fair amount done yesterday and am staying off the computer today for the most part so hopefully I can catch up. Whew...what a busy week I had. Plus dealing with a new diet and my daughter and her cat settling in. We are all doing well and getting into a pattern of things. It's nice to have my daughter around to chat with throughout the day and have someone to help in the kitchen. Taz and the cat are getting along famously. They are even starting to play a little. Taz had his nose up Noel's butt and then 10 minutes later Noel came up behind him and poked him in the butt with his paw as he slinked quietly up behind him. So cute to watch. I did a bit of training with Taz last night, asking him to sit and shake a paw, then he gets a treat. Noel sat watching and then meowed at me repeated so I walked over, he led me down the hall to where his food is and meowed at the treat bag. So Taz watched as I gave Noel a treat and I didn't want to confuse Taz about commands or treats so I told Noel to shake a paw and held his paw up for a few seconds before giving the treat. LOL.

Chris - yes, I often wonder what the heck I do, when a day goes by and nothing got done :) Even though I try hard to time manage and be organized, it's easy for me to waste time.

Trudy - good luck on shopping, hope you get set up. It's a really hard diet yet for me, yet its the easiest thing I've ever done. It is all worth it for me (aside from losing weight) to have no inflammation in my body, no bloat, more energy, healthier skin and hair (no dryness of skin and no falling out of hair) and I'm sleeping better but the best thing is no cravings or desire to eat more than a small plate of food at meal time. Hope it works as well for you. FB me if you have questions on what to get. I don't know about others, but for me, on day 15 my body seemed to kick into gear and I can consume 2 L of water a day and now am not running to pee every 15 minutes and as long as I decrease it a few hours before bedtime, I am ok for the night.

Nancy - enjoy the game today and hope all is well with Luther.

Sharon - I too love little cars, I have a small red Optra that I love and my hubs keeps asking me to get a new car (wants me to get a bigger car) but I'm hanging onto this as long as I can.

OK, off I go to work. Have a great day, everyone.

Hi everyone. I attended a funeral for my MIL and FIL best friend. MY FIL has known her nearly 80 years! I often go to lunch with them and use to see her in the grocery store. Going to miss her. It was an emotional day.

Today we are relaxing-we are still tired! We have to go to the parade route at 8:30 and bring food to DD and friends riding.

Cindy- your new car sounds great!

Rae-glad the family and animals are settling in

Chris- thanks for asking- my dog starts hearworm treatment in March.

Trudy, that looks a lot like the Honda I had in high school. It was a copper color and had a Hondamatic transmission.
