Happy Monday! Did everyone miss me this weekend? I missed you guys but I was so happy not having to deal with "real life" for a bit that I was too content to notice.
We made it to the house around 4 and all I had to do was unpack the car and light the fireplace. Feet up with a glass of wine by 5.
Ray seemed a bit confused why she was there alone but then chilled all weekend too. Cait did some homework, my mom puttered, and I read and crocheted. Remember that yarm my mom bought for me? I crocheted three rows of the scarf pattern and I didn't like it at all. It had clusters that bunched up too much, so I ripped that out and started another pattern and I like this one much better.
I was so happy hearing Cait and my mom chatting and laughing together. Although, after dinner on Saturday we made my mom worry about us. We were playing Oregon Trail and the cards spread out on the table almost reaching a candle. I blew it out and moved it aside. A few minutes later, Caitlyn told us that her throat felt like it was closing. What she *meant* was that she was starting to wheeze. My mom was getting worried but Cait said not to worry unless she started to turn blue, which made my mom freak out a bit more. I don't even know what happened next but Cait started to laugh and cough. I started to laugh and cough. The more that we looked at each other - it would set us off even more.
Cait insisted that she was fine and played her card and it was that she died from a snake bite. That set my mom off even worse, we started laughing-- and coughing-- and we ended the game. My poor mom!
The next day I looked at the candle-- it was citronella and said in very tiny print: "For outdoor use only" Whoops!!!
When we got home, the two Maniacs were so excited to see us. I kinda missed them too  I missed Gary but he and Scott and Leah seemed to have a good weekend. Our neighbor's best friend passed away a few years ago and his wife is moving. Apparently, he was a collector of all things and she invited him to come down to see if there was anything he wanted. Well, that just put Gary into a state of bliss!
Today is a day for me to get paperwork/food shopping ready for tomorrow. I should try to make it to the Food Pantry before I go shopping. I also have to make an appt for Ray at the vet. While she was resting on Cait on the car, Caitlyn noticed a new skin tag, different from the papillomas that she has. It almost looks like an engorged tick but it is not. Hopefully, they can look over at all of the tags she has and see if we need to do anything about them. They don't bother her at all, but I don't want to take any chances.
I will do my best to catch up with everyone from the weekend posts but it might take me a while. Inthe meantime I am sending coffee and hugs!
