GoOd morning, O-zies! Hope you all got a little extra time to sleep in today since it is still technically the weekend. It is Presidents' Day in the US and it feels somewhat fitting yet sad to get the news that President Carter has entered Hospice. Regardless of politics (*shuts mouth firmly* :D), you can't deny that he is a wonderful human being.

Yesterday was a putter-y day, I did some scrapping and crocheting. And yoga, I'm back to doing that every day. Yesterday I picked a shorter video and I was disappointed at the end, I wished I had chosen a longer one. I find myself correcting my posture and grounding my feet at random moments during the day. I think that might be why my back isn't hurting as much. Everyone was here for dinner and I made vegan sausage and peppers and homemade breadsticks. The Beyond "meats" are honestly really good. I am thrilled that the FP has some variety of them every time I go. The breadsticks, they are just perfect. *chef's kiss* Mmmmmmmm-mmmmm. After dinner the 5 of us played Ravine again and we were laughing so hard my stomach hurt.

I think that today I'll steam clean my BR. Maybe my office too. Yoga first so I am not squishing around on a damp carpet. I want to clean out my fridge too, I finally added that to my schedule to do every Monday. Garbage goes out on Tuesday and food shopping prep is on and finalized on Tuesday. It seems so logical, why did it take me 54 years to figure it out??? :lol23:

Have a fantastic day!

@LSlycord Such fantastic weather! Sooo, how did you do with your garden clean-up? Need to hire a gardener? I am cheap!
I am terrible with updating my CO threads. They are always done by the end of the month but I know I am supposed to do it throughout. Bad Faery :(
Ugh, my dogs were doing that too, in and out. Non-stop. I go outside with them because they are bonkers when people/UPS trucks go past the house. They are on leads but if you don't know that and you see Jaida barreling toward you, it's going to be a little intimidating. Just a smidge. heh. Nothing like pittie, snarling, and barking and all spiked up to make you feel comfortable eh? ;) If they only knew that she was actually scared of her own shadow.
PS: Even though I love wildlife, I'd be a big fat Noonthe doggie door with gators around. :nod1:

@BrightEyes That's awesome that your sister was able to send you the scans but I am chuckling over the way that she sent them. The other memorabilia are excellent find too.
Happy birthday to DD#1! Only a few more weeks until your family is with you. yay!

@Nonni F Uh-oh! Sounds like the laptop in is some deep :poop: (That is probably the one and only time I will ever use that emoji haha!)
Where is the "Doh!" emoji when ya need it? Were you able to get the crockpot cooking in time for dinner? That is totally something I would do, I am definitely in the "forget my head if it weren't attached" category.
I hope that the rest of your day was better.

@taxed4ever I'm glad that you were able to sit down for a little relaxing yesterday. Your Gary has 4 days off in a row... are you counting down to when he leaves for work tomorrow so you have the house to yourself?
Hope you had a nice time visiting with SIL/MIL/FIL yesterday

Morning, gals. Fell asleep while reading last night... not sure how long I slept but woke up around midnight, put the book on the nightstand and turned the light off. Woke up at 5 AM again... so beginning to think that is my internal alarm waking me up.
I called DD#3 late yesterday and this froggy voice answered... she has been sick Wednesday and sounds like she will down for several more days. Her grandson goes to daycare and brings home sickness... and poor DD seems to catch it and have it worse than anyone else in the family. At least she has 2 grown sons and hubby there to take care of her.

I may have another PJ day today... and just laze around. It feels like it is still the weekend since it is a US holiday. The creative itch is getting stronger so may poke around and see if any of the challenges set it off. :rotfl: And Color Play will be here the end of the week... that is always a fun time.

Good morning my friends. I think that I did nothing productive again yesterday. It's really pathetic. But I did do some scrapping. Brian is back to 100% so we are going to start cleaning the garden this morning. I am loving the "My Story". Oh the memories that it is bringing back to me.

IM'd back and forth with my niece for awhile yesterday. She is the one with the two boys. They came down last year at Easter (when they only had the one boy) and her husband asked when Brooks (the youngest) will be old enough to come down. She told him that if they are flying, Brooks is old enough now. If they are driving, when Brooks is 5. :giggle4: Garrett had never flown until he came down here last year. He isn't really fond of that mode of transportation...but he does love his trips.

Shaun had CrossFit at 7:00 this morning. He is so sore...but pushing through! They were adding in running this morning. Sounds like an awful way to start a day!

Sydney has three exams this week...Tuesday, Thursday and Friday...she spent the weekend studying. Had a break Friday night when the interns and the board members for her engineering group went to dinner together. Then yesterday afternoon, her mentor/mentee group went to a museum and stopped to eat out together so she got a couple of breaks. This week is intense but I told her to do her best.

I've had a cardinal singing in my backyard before it even got light out. Once the sun rose, I was able to see him atop a dead tree. He spent over an hour here, just singing and flying around the yard. That made me happy. And it is supposed to be sunny and 80° for a high. I'll take that.

I'll be back for personals in a bit.

Good morning, beautiful ladies!

The computer is working for the time being, dinner was only a "little" late after forgetting to turn the crockpot off last night and today is a HOLIDAY! Woot! Woot!

Nothing exciting to report from my corner. But, no news is good news.

@LSlycord eighty sounds delightful. Enjoy! Looks like we're in for snow four out of the next six days. I'll take it though. We need the water. ..and it will be pretty. So, there's that. We actually dragged away fallen branches and such this weekend as it was so mild here.

@BrightEyes I hope your DD feels better soon. Grandchildren are adorable but they are definitely happy little germ hosts. lol

@faerywings You have one of those vicious pitties? LOL My son's peeks around the corner when I go to let him out if they're going to be home late. Doesn't come out till he knows it's "safe" and someone he knows. lol

I wish for all of you a most fabulous day!

Morning ladies... I am up and got the coffee going before my Gary is even out of bed. That never happens LOL. Should be a bit more quiet of a day today, not sure what my DH has planned for his day, but mine is going to be spent scrapping and playing around in my craft room. I thought I might go to the pool, but it is Family Day here and so the pool will be filled with kids having fun! So a great day to catch up with some crafty things! Yesterday's visit with the In-Laws was good, however FIL is really starting to lose it! He was carrying on conversations that were making no sense about things that never happened. Ohhh boy, its starting to get scary! Its time to have him assessed by a medical professional!! Anyway that's not my place, I will leave that up to the siblings to deal with. I will be here if I am needed in any way I can to help out. The weather is supposed to turn cold again today and perhaps some rain/snow over the next couple of days. I am hopeful that spring is just around the corner?? Seems like we have had an extra chilly February and we are ready for some nice warm sunshine!

@faerywings - Hope you are enjoying a nice day for your "Presidents Day"!! Yes it is sad to hear that Jimmy Carter has entered hospice, but I think that he has had a pretty good and long life! How fun to spend the evening playing the game with your loved ones! Sounds like so much fun! Nothing better than a good laugh!! :lovey3: You were pretty productive yesterday! I was also as I got all my housework done and the laundry too. Then spent the afternoon just visiting and doing not much of anything. Nice to hear that the yoga is working some magic on your back too! WTG!! Yes I am looking forward to having the house to myself again, but DH knows that today is a day where he should not be bothering me, I kind of dropped the hint to him yesterday! :giggle4:

@LSlycord - Nice to hear that your DH is feeling 100% again! The temps you are getting makes me jealous and I wish we could be out in the garden tidying up from the winter! Hope your niece and family will be able to make the trip to see you again this Easter! Poor Shaun! It must be awful to be that stiff and sore and now he will be running and will most likely get shin splints too, Ugghh!! I agree that is no way to start the day LOL. Sydney sure has a busy week of exams, but I bet she aces them all! Enjoy your day today and I am going to the gallery to check out your latest "My Story" layouts!

@BrightEyes - Wow a long sleep for you! How nice, but 5:30 is still too darn early, for me anyway. That is too bad that your DD seems to catch whatever her grandson brings home. Yup those daycare's are a breeding ground for germs!! Hope you enjoy another PJ day and I hope that your creative juices are flowing and you get lots of scrapping done!

@Nonni F - So you did not throw your laptop off the balcony onto the pavement yesterday?? LOL Glad to hear it is sort of behaving itself for you and I am sure you will spend the day having fun doing some scrapping! Yup no news is good news!! Sweet photo!! Love it!

Ok I need to think of what to make for brunch today and then I am sitting here on my butt for as long as it takes to get a couple of layouts done today! Wish me luck! :waving1

I just remembered that I got a freebie - Brocante by Maya deGroot - when I got another collection. I had made a LO for the template challenge after I did the LO with the other collection. Good thing I write things in my notebook - as I spotted it this morning and found it in the store. :nod1:

Back for personals! I did spend some time checking out flower beds and pots. Lost 4 hibiscus...but I think that my others will come back. My succulent pots are all looking good. My bright yellow Gerber daisies are coming on strong. The blueberry bush and rose bush both look great. And, most importantly, my lemon tree has blooms! I have decided that I will replace the hibiscus by potting them. And so this gardener's heart realizes that hope blooms eternal!

@faerywings makes perfect sense on refrigerator clean out day. I should put a similar system in place. And the gardening was great...really did make my heart so happy!

@BrightEyes I remember the first winter with Syd in daycare. She absolutely caught everything and then brought it all home to me. I had no idea that there were so many viruses that existed. Hope DD#3 gets well quickly. Enjoy a good PJ day.

@Nonni F that is the most precious photo ever. Glad that you were able to enjoy some nice weather before the snow hits. But I agree, some fresh white snow can really be beautiful!

@taxed4ever glad that you were able to sneak in some computer and coffee time :busy1:#coffee-2 before Gary got up. I am so sorry that things are getting so bad with your FIL. That will be hard for everyone.

Ok, off to the grocery store. Someday I'm going to have a plan so that I don't go every single day! Ugh...

Good morning ladies. I've been sleeping in a bit these last few days. I'm enjoying it b/c I know once the sun rises earlier in the morning, so will Remi, meaning...so will I. Jen left for Vancouver (dental/doctor visits) for 3 days, returning sometime late Wed. She is still feeling slightly nauseous from the virus she has had this past week and can't eat anything but toast or eggs. My oldest has it too now. Jen was going to stop to visit with her on the way home but now that Krystal is sick too, she'll just bypass Chilliwack and keep driving home. This latest stomach flu that is going around is nasty.

D and I are going to a travel agent this week to see if there is a Panama Canal cruise we can book for this year or next. So many cruises are now pre-booked for over a year ahead. We might not get to go until next fall possibly. We might have waited too long to look into this. Fingers crossed. The other thing we might get lucky on is a last minute opening, as long as we can get a flight coordinated. We'll see.

I'm ordering a soft lift support for Taz as he is starting to hesitate and not want to come down stairs, we have to coax him and then he carefully comes down, just behind our legs for support. So whether its his eyes or arthritis or both, the support will be a good thing, when needed. He no longer will go down the outside stairs at night but during the day he will a bit so I think its both conditions. Poor little guy. Getting old sucks, not just for us, but our pets too.

Today I am puttering around the house, maybe scrap a bit, read my book and binge watch some shows, in other words, my normal day :)

When my first husband was still living we lived pretty close to a Walmart! We were there at least every other day buying groceries! I used to make a "plan" but when it came to the "plan" it seemed I was never in the mood to cook what was on the plan, so I would end up at Walmart buying something else!

Good Afternoon!
My Saturday scrapping was totally dismissed after I got a call from Ilene. She was "feeling weird".....drunk is one of the words she used. She had called her kids and no one answered. So she called me (I live only 8 miles from her). She had a stroke about 5 years ago and said she was feeling the same as she did that day. So I told her I was coming over. She was very unsteady on her feet. Her vision was off. But her speech was fine. I asked her if she wanted to go to the hospital just to be safe. She didn't want to ride in an ambulance, so I drove her. 20 minutes later we pulled into the emergency room and I told them I had someone in the car that could possibly have had a stroke. They got her in a wheelchair and got her into the ER right away. I spent the afternoon there with her as they did blood work and an MRI. Her BP was pretty high at 175/95. I stayed and left about an hour after her oldest daughter got there. She called me on my way home to tell me they determined it was vertigo and were releasing Ilene to go home. They prescribed something for it. Her daughter stayed the night with her. Mark and I stopped by her house on the way home from church yesterday because Ilene had left her phone in my car. She was getting ready to have her daughter take her to her son's house for a couple of days. I'm thankful it wasn't a stroke!

Yesterday after church I did nothing but work on a puzzle all afternoon. Finished the puzzle this morning.

DH took the day off because he is looking at a used jeep for trips to the woods and work. So he and I headed to the bank today to get some money.......forgetting until we got there and saw the empty parking lot that today was President's Day. "SNAP!" was his comment! His daughter told him she had the cash he could borrow if he wanted to. So I guess after his nap he will see about going for a test drive in the car before deciding if he needs the money.

Other than that, today is a slow day! I finally posted a double page spread in the gallery. First scrapping I've done for a week or so, I think! No mojo. Lost my mojo for decluttering, too! Maybe it will come back when Mark goes back to work!

Have a great afternoon!

Hi girls. I haven't fallen into a hole - I'm having computer problems - I "worked" on my laptop and got it all screwed up. When will I ever learn??? Our wonderful computer guy is coming out tomorrow - hopefully, he can work his magic.

My big monitor - where PS is - still works, so I can make layouts - I have somehow messed up the printig and it's so light that I can barely read it (on my laptop) - and on the message boards. I was just trying to make it darker - I (raises right hand) solemnly swear that I will never go into settings and mess with things that I know next to nothing about again. :stupicpc:#angry2

Just wanted to check in. I HAVE been really busy with other things, too. Have lots to catch you all up on - all good.
