Its Valentines Day here in the US. Do any other countries celebrate? It is just another "Hallmark Holiday" for me. *shrugs* I did make a nice dinner, lemon chicken over pasta with home made French bread. we played Apples to Apples afterward. That was our V-Day celebration ;)

Today i am getting my hair cut and some foils thrown in. I am sooooo dang excited. its been 4 months since I got my hair cut and it really needs it. My 'girl" is coming to the house around 1, and I can't wait :laugh:

Cait's new baby (Millie AKA Bah-neeeee) is doing good. she is warming up to us all and is starting to hop around and explore. She also peed in her little box. Cait is trying to litter box train her, which would be so much nicer than having to clean up the dirty papers every day. Doesn't matter to me-- not my responsibility. :D

other than that, its Same Old Same old here, house work, pay bills (ugh).....

kayleigh- i have to agree with nana Linda. Even with Cait's reflux and she would throw up in her sleep, they told me it was more dangerous to have her sleep on her stomach than the possibility of choking on vomit. So you know its pretty serious I know that isn't want you want to hear but you don't want anything bad happening to that precious girl
Does your Ped's office have a hotline? some practices have a number that you can call to speak to a nurse. You could always try that until you can get in on Wed.

Meg- what are you researching? Hope you had fun.

trudy- how was work? I bet 4 hours was a piece of cake after doing 8.

Nana- did you survive the weekend ok? hope that this week is a super-calm one for you. You need it! And wow- that is crazy about what Connor's sister said. I am so with you on that-- not welcome again. What a brat.

Laurie- how did your dancing go????

Morning all - dancing went fine- there were glitches on the places end for starting the music, and I nearly tripped once- but mr gorgeous saved me. We were tired from dancing the night before. It is different dancing to a live band/orchestra compared to recorded music, harder actually. So today is back to work!! and Windy!!!!!!! Hang on Chris- I'm blowing your way!!

Laurie glad to hear your Mr. Gorgeous saved you and that you guys had fun dancing :) Maybe next year you'll be on Dancing with the Stars! :)

Nothing much going on here. We're in Markham, IL (just outside of Chicago) waiting to deliver a favor load to Joliet, IL and then come back here and wait til 5 AM to pick up a FedEx load to Valdosta, GA and then we go HOOOMEEEE!!! I can't wait! 5 more days before my mom gets here weeeee! I'm busy collecting recipes for food I can cook for her as my mom loves to try new things and it was a thing I always did in the Netherlands as my dad is the "what I don't know I won't eat' type. :mrgreen: Can you imagine my mom hasn't eaten lasagna in years because of my dad? So that was number 1 on her wish list; it's really sad! :ohwell:

Oh and yes of course Happy Valentine's Day to all although my hubby and I don't do anything about it. My personal opinion is I rather show him I love him every day and vice versa than being dictated by retailers I have to show him one day a year but that's my personal opinion on that. :blah:

And @ Kayleigh: how's your baby doing?? That sure sounds scary! I hope she's doing much better!!

Also a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my baby girl (Traci) who is 26 yo today!!!

Wow...that is so unbelievable to say outloud!!!

So yesterday we had our "FAMILY" meeting about my MIL...HAHAHA!! Me Mike and his Sister.....the main person that needed to be there was their brother, Vonnie, and he "had a stomach bug"....Yeah...it's true name is called a HANGOVER!!! She lives in his house and he is a good portion of the reason she stays so out of sorts ~shakes head~ But between the three of us....we did come to a few conclusions....FIRST....the fact that he takes advantage of her and her money is not going to happen any more. He said he would retire and be there all the time with her, but she would have to pay his bills....we determined that would NEVER happen...and we also decided to get two people to take turns coming in a a couple of hours a day to visit with her and make sure she takes her meds and eats...(they would be paid for doing this). Mike's sister has POA and is listed on her accounts as well...so she can have the say so when she wants to, and it's time she started using her authority!

Hopefully we will have a good week...things will be calm....FINGERS CROSSED....I need a calmer week!!!

Other News this weekend...............We have another GRANDBABY on the way!!!! Jamie and Clint (the ones that got married in July)!!! She just found out this past week and doesn't go to the Dr until the 4th of March. But I knew they would not wait too long...she has been wanting to have a baby for a long time.... So...with the birth in March...and then this one...this moves me to 8 Grandkids...HAHAHA...that sounds funny!!! HEY...ONA....if you happen to be reading....I am now going to catch up to you!!!

So.....that is all my weekend news.

Oh Chris.....Yay for the hair dooo!!! I called my girl on Saturday but she never called me back :( It's been almost 4 months for me too!!! I am looking like I have a mop on my head!!! A ratty old used up mop!!!!

Laurie....glad the dancing went well!!! and yes it's been windy here for three days...it's suppose to die down during the day today...and guess what?? WE HAVE 68 for a high today!! WOOOOHOOOOO!! and as the week goes on...even warmer!!!! I can't believe it...a whole week of NICE!!! WARM!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!! WEATHER!!!

Petra.....awe sweetie....I am so excited for you that your Mom is going to be here in 5 days!!!!!! I know you are over the moon!!!!! I hope you guys get to have the MOST WONDERFUL visit and do lots of stuff!!! Yay for all the new recipes for her...that is fab you are doing that for her!!!

Chris - How wonderful that you are getting pampered today, and you don't even have to leave the house?? That's even better! Enjoy it sweetie you deserve it!! Perhaps you could come and help me clean up the backyard after this big wind storm? There will be fir tree branches and pinecones all over the place to pick up and I know that you love to be out in yard, or is it just gardening you like to do? Anyway I could use help with that also once the rains stop. :laugh:

Laurie - Glad your dancing went well, and thank goodness for your MG, he saved you from a possible embarassing moment!! Hope you got to have a nice hot soak in your hotub after all that dancing!!

Petra - Nice to see you here again!! So happy for you that you get to see your mom soon!! Take lots of :photo: so we can see you enjoying your time together, hope that she loves all the new recipes!!

Kayleigh - I am sure that you and your doctor will figure out the best way for your baby to sleep, but sleeping on her stomach is probably not going to be recommended. Don't fret, everything will work out, you will see, be patient!!

Nana Linda - Glad that you had your family meeting, even if everyone was not there, at least you got to have your say and sounds like it will be better for all involved! Its so hard to have to deal with taking care of parents, they spent so many years taking care of their children and themselves, its sad to see them not be able to do this anymore. Until the day that she will have to go into a home or have special care, it is nice that the family is there for her!! Congrats on the new grandbaby!!! Lucky you!! I am afraid that all I will ever get is the two that I have. My daughter might never be able to care for a child herself with her disability and my son says that this is it for them as its just to expensive and their jobs are too demanding. But you never know?? Praying for a calmer week for you my U.S. sister :hug:

It's before 9am.


I'm not an apparition. It's really me.


Woooowwwwww and we couldn't even fall asleep until like 230!!!! Normally we would of slept in until 9am!!!


So yeeeeahh, our sleep schedules are MESSED UP! Jeff just got out of the shower which means I need to hop in now, so I'm going to have to come back for personals! Today we're running lots of errands, then Jeff's going make me STEAK for V-day dinner, along with asparagus, and I'm doing my creamy mashed potatoes! We were going to go up to Yosemite to see the firefall at Horsetail Falls, but it's going to be overcast so the firefall thingy wont happen. We're going to have to brave the crowds next Monday!
 
Trudy.....:pound: laughing at your "corny" love joke!!! But it's very sweet :hug: :kiss: Who knows, maybe those winds will blow us all somewhere to meet up in the middle!!! I thought they were suppose to die down after lunch...but the gusts are still coming...stuff flying around all over the place out there!!! Hey....I have to tell you...having so many grandchildren can be difficult too....it's very very hard to spread around the NANA LOVE....there is a lot of jealousy at times...so having just two can be a blessing in itself!! I am sorry your daughter may not have any though, I know that is heartbreaking :hug:

Kayleigh.....................HOW PRECIOUS!!!!!! Ooooh I could just kiss her!!! Love that photo!!!

Meg.....sorry about the sleep schedules!!! and yummmmmo...awesome for the hubs to fix a fabulous dinner!!! Oh sorry the weather isn't permitting your night out though. Have a GREAT GREAT day though sweetie!!
