The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Wow, I triple-checked the date this morning. I am not sure if I should be complaining or excited that we are in double-digit dates already. It's crazy that it's the 2nd week of February.

How was everyone's weekend? Did any of you watch the Super Bowl? Not me. We watched a couple of episodes of Miracle Workers, with Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi. The three of us watched a year or so ago but Tom hasn't. It is just as funny the second time around.

Guess what?? I scrapped a page yesterday!! :dancing6: I started the AJ challenges and the prompt, Patience, is one I struggle with daily. (In case you didn't notice LOL) ACDSee wasn't running great but not completely locking up either. I guess that's good?? The software version is 5 years old and I know this means I am going to have to upgrade at some point. I think this is the longest I have had one version running before it went kaplooey.*knocking on wood that I didn't just jinx it*

I made vegan beefy baked ziti for diner last night. I'll never understand how they make pea protein taste like meat and cashews taste like cheese. But dang it was good! Even better-- I have leftovers for tonight so I don't have to cook Yay!

Plans for today: Picking up groceries and Rxs. Watching my bird friends. Cleaning my house. (boooo). And I have to call my mom, I haven't talked to her in a few days. Since I don't have to cook, I should work a little more on my faery house. I had to put it away so we could sit at the table for the pirate party.

What fun things do you have on tap today?
Make it a GREAT one!! ♥

Good morning to all. Chris, I saw your layout earlier - it's beautiful! I watched the Super Bowl with friends even though no one cared about it. It actually ended up entertaining - what a totally wild and unexpected game and ending!
I keep meaning to ask what kind of Faery house do you have, I remember you mentioning it previously. I love anything fairy!
There is a Fairy Trail nearby at the South Mountain Reservation, but I've never gone.
WIshing everyone a happy day. :heartpumppink:

Not feeling all that great to be honest! But it can take several days for me to recuperate after the tournament. I have been taking it easy and plan to do so the rest of today before work tomorrow. Yes, he is definitely a sweetheart! Thank you!
You go through all of that pain for a volunteer position? What a labor of love. I hope that you're feeling better by the time you read this. How long have you and DH been together?
Yikes, I was just doing the math in my head with me and my Gary. We have been together 35 years but the jaw-dropping part is that we moved to this house 30 years ago this month. That is *not* possible! 30 years is forever (especially since I am only 39 :giggle4: ).

So all this talk about the bird feeder with the camera..what brand is that please?
Hope that you had a nice time at the club, ignoring the Game. ;)
I have a Birdfy Feeder 1 with Solar Panel. And Nope, I did not pay $149! I am still in shock at how I got it for $10. The planets were completely aligned for me. It's not the same one as Scott has but I am not sure what the brand his is. I can ask him if you'd like. The setup is the same as mine, but the apps are different. Mine take videos and photos. His can do that but you have to pay to see the videos IIRC.
How exciting to be going to Germany! My SIL works for Bayer and just came home from a business trip to Germany, France, and Spain. She was there for 3 weeks so I hope she had time for some sightseeing as well as work.
Enjoyed your TED talk! ;)
Hahaha!! DId you picture me in a black turtleneck and headset, prowling on a big stage with a Power Point rolling on the screens?

Another quick in and out... Been busy most of the day scrapping. Got 1 LO done and uploaded to galleries. Also changed my siggy (finally) using the same collection. And scrapped 2 pre-release LOs. Whew... BTW... is it just me that discovers a misspelling only after the LO/designer info is up-loaded to ALL the galleries???
The siggie is *beautiful!* You were busy scrapping-- blew my one-page accomplishment out of the water hehe
Nope, not just you. Nor with LOs. I had made a cute little poster of NJ Wildlife footprints. Printed them out and ready to go for Friday. As I was packing my stuff up, I noticed I spelled raccoon wrong. Had to trash the whole thing. :rolleyes1:

Taxes... I think I have everything in. I should get started, today might be good for that. That way when all of the kids need to use the software, I'll be done. This is my first W2 in years and years and years! :D
The temp is in the 70s with lots of sunshine! We actually used the AC on the drive home from church!
You gotta be kidding me!!!!! We are stuck in the mid-30s and more snow tomorrow and Thursday. And maybe more on Sat.
I'm sorry Mother Nature for smack-talking you. I promise I won't do it again!!

Have a fan-TAB-ulous day!!

I have heard about the Faery Trail! When my kids were little, we used to build faery houses in my backyard ♥
This is what Sam got me for Xmas:
Firefly Forest Bookend Dollhouse

Any bets on how close my looks to the one in the photo??
No one?
:rotfl:

After the last few winters in Virginia with pretty much no snow, this winter is dumping on us, with another 5" expected tomorrow. Fortunately, by now the sun is high enough it will melt quickly. We have crocuses blooming in the lawn, so spring is on the way.

I have seasonal flags I put up on my deck. Last year's Spring flag never came down. So ta-da I'm ahead of the game already. Laziness wins!

I never saw that, and I thought I'd covered most every inch of South Mountain back when I lived in Summit. Maybe it wasn't there then. The Columbia Trail, between High Bridge and Califon has a section with loads of fairy or troll houses. I used to park in Clinton and bike on the roads to the trail, have lunch at a little place in Califon, and visit Ken Lockwood Gorge on the way back. A beautiful bike ride of 30 miles or so.

I am fighting with my iPad to get IOS updated, which has required me to uninstall virtually every app to get enough memory free. And I keep almost no data on it. Very frustrating. IOS 18 better be worth it. I'm going back now to see if it's growling at me about something else now.

This year is no exception, I supposed. It is true, the older you get the faster time flies!

Hubby had the TV on for the Super Bowl. He was working on downloading music to his phone. He does not like KC, so I'm sure he was rooting for PE. I was working puzzles.

Good Morning,
I have done a load of laundry (bed linens) today, run the church deposit to the bank, stopped by the PO, and will be going to lunch with DH in just a bit.

I have to call all of the widows today and tell them tomorrow's meeting is postponed to next week due to inclement weather predictions for tomorrow.

DId you picture me in a black turtleneck and headset, prowling on a big stage with a Power Point rolling on the screens?
HA! Actually, NO! I pictured you as a wonderful teacher caring only to make her students learn while having fun! :hug4:
You gotta be kidding me!!!!! We are stuck in the mid-30s and more snow tomorrow and Thursday. And maybe more on Sat.

Well, we are going to be getting quite the turn-around this week! Today's highs are in the 40's. Tomorrow is 30's! Possible freezing rain. YUCK!

I got half of my ATCs posted yesterday. Today will be the other half, after I get back from lunch and finished making my phone calls to the widows.

That's a wrap for me!
HAGD!

Why can't "they" leave things alone?! I abhor updates! Especially if what you have works!

THAT is totally cute! And I loved the "street" one shown in the video! Did you watch it? I might have to invest in that one! It is something I think Mark and I would really enjoy working on together!

Good Monday Morning everyone! It is a cloudy grey morning but according to my weather app the sun should come out in about an hour or so. It is still chilly outside, but the roads are clear and dry and I have my vehicle back as my Gary took his truck to work this morning. It took a lot of shovelling and snow blowing, but we got it out from under all that white stuff. Today I will go to the post office and mail a parcel to our son. I got a photo printed out of him and his Dad wearing their Team Canada Jerseys at the World Jrs. Hockey and found a nice frame for it. I did one for my DH also, a little memento of their great time spent together this Christmas and New Years. I also have to get our DD's return flight booked today and guess what?? We are going to be flying back with her and spend about week with her and the boys. I almost fell over when my Gary said we should go!! Guess he realizes that he will have lots of time on his hands and it might be the only time we see the boys this summer. Heather is not bringing them with her when she flys out for my brother's Celebration of life. So I better get busy and get the flights booked before he changes his mind :giggle4: .

Sounds like a good day except for the cleaning of the house part! Say Hi to your Mom from all of us, hope she is doing well! Have fun working on your fairy house today, it looks so cute!! I also love your bird feeder, but you should see what the cost of it would be here in Canada...over $200 and then I would have to pay a tariff on it too probably LOL. So no bird feeder for me.
I watched the Super Bowl with friends even though no one cared about it. It actually ended up entertaining - what a totally wild and unexpected game and ending!
We watched the Super Bowl also, but did not care who won, it was very entertaining, but oh my so much money spent on that sport and the commercial to entertain us.

We have been blasted with winter too, but oh my it sure took its time getting here! I haven't been out in my back yard to see if the crocus are blooming, there is too much snow on the walkway to get there.

Laundry day was yesterday for me, so nice to have the clean sheets on the bed! How nice to go for lunch with your Mark! You do that quite often, lucky you! Sorry that your weather is taking a turn for the worst, hopefully it isn't a thick sheet of ice for you! Good plan to stay off the roads and cancel your widows meeting!

Ok I am off to spend all my reward points and companion flight coupon for our unexpected trip to Ontario in July. Have a great day everyone! :waving3:

Hi Trudy,
Yes, I'm not sure if he likes eating lunch with me, or he just likes getting away from the shop! :giggle4: But, I'll take it!
Yes, the temps are actually dropping! I thought it was supposed to be in the 40s throughout the day, but it had dropped into the 30s I noticed as I drove back from lunch!

So glad to hear you will get to spend some time with your DD and the boys! What a nice surprise!

Yep! I've been doing the books for 15 years without one single $ paid. They just started rewarding us with concessions about 3 years ago. To be honest, I love high school basketball!

I am feeling much better after a few muscle relaxants and rest with a heating pad.

We met October 8, 1993 and got married January 9, 1994. We've been married for 31 years.

Looking good for 39!!
