Happy Monday!!! Who else needs at least one more day of the weekend?
I do! I do!!

I ended up going to bed last night at 7 pm! I must have been asleep by 7.30. Out cold til 5 am...... and sadly, I am still tired, but not as bad as I was yesterday. I did get some good chucks of stuff done this weekend, so that is good. Tree is up, 2 batches of cookies made. I even wrapped three whole presents. LOL Today I have got to get myself better organized for making my gift basket orders. That entails pulling almost everything out of my supply closet, see what ingredients I have, see what I want to make and how I need to buy. The hardest part is that I have been making baskets for these same people for 5-6 years and I try hard to not duplicate products and ideas. I got some cute ideas at pinterest so far, but nothing is quite gelling in my brain yet.

That is my goal for today. Wish me luck and a good working brain for that, please :pray2:

What good stuff are you up to today? Recovering from a busy weekend or ready to roll out for the new week?

Me Me Monday- I am looking fwd to a nice glass of wine at the end of this day!

Weekend personals:

Linda S-- yummo!! Love homemade soups. Hope that your dad feels better really soon. This time of year must be especially difficult for him

Trudy- glad that you made a successful trip! DIL: sometimes GC's are the only way to go, but maybe to a place that she wouldn't normally spend money on herself? Her favorite take-out? Spa/nails/massage? Or have a cleaning service come in after the holidays and take her out for tea while they are there?
We have a road here like that-- waaaaaay smaller scale tho-- Skyline Drive and it is a beautiful road when the weather is noce, but if it is foggy or snowy- nasty nasty nasty. It gets closed if it snows cuz you can't get up or if you do get all the way up, you are going to slide all that way back down.

Phyllis- woot on that good night's sleep! Hope you got the same last night too. The damp/cold weather is making me ache so bad. I am just a mess of fibro-ness. Have you been getting that too?

Eva- I just scrolled down to see how your dad was. So good to hear it was just a migraine. But that poor man (and I am he would be mad to hear me call him that!!). How much more can a body take? Many healing thoughts to him, and to you.

Nana!!!!! I posted on FB that I missed you and Viola!! Here you are!!!!! Yay!!!!! I am so happy to hear that in all of that running you got to have some good times with Sesame Street Live and Jaime and Josie and the kiddos. That must help the craziness! (Add to it or diminish it-- not sure about that!!)
Hope that yu got some good scrap time in. And yay for Mike being home more. The NJ Bear Hunt starts today.:( I hope my Mama Bear and her babies are far away from the hunters.

your like Sally on a Monday mixed with Jen!
hahahah!!! That is great!!! Love it!

Laurie- that sounds sooo cool! (The Silhouette) I bet you will put it to good use!

Sally!! Loved your post!!!
I lost my cursor there... what the heck?Well, then. I saw your pics on FB of Q-- looking VERY handsome! And what a cool program for the kids. As I was reading through what you wrote, I was thinking how perfect that would be for my kids to be involved- then I saw that you wrote that too. Scott would love that. You must be so proud of all of your kids!
Hope that YMG is better today and that no one else gets it.

Love to all of you!!

xoxoxoxoxooxoxo!!!

Chris, may your brain be at optimal force today!! (how's that?) i can't imagine trying to be creative on the level of an entire gift basket. i wouldn't know where to start. one more way you're my hero.

not enough sleep. again. i stayed up 'til midnight and woke up at 5. i'll be seeing the world through a haze of exhaustion again today. woot. i have to get to Sam's Club and do a little grocery shopping, so that shouldn't be too taxing.

does anyone here have grown children who treat them with the same kind of respect we treated our parents with? this seems to be a lost art. sometimes my kids leave me speechless.:mmph: :tape2:

OK. ON to Monday. excelsior!! ...or not.

Morning O fam- just finished my workout- scales say I am back to pre vacation weight- hurray! My goal under 150 by Jan 1- I can do it. It surely helps that I am a hermit- work home work home! It also helps that neither boy wants Christmas goodies- sad that I don't have to bake. MMG decided we needed light up wreaths for outside the garage- best part they are on timers and LED with batteries so no cords, no fuss! I have found someone to take some of my craft goodies- a small church whose pastor and wife are very genuine! Now to find time to get them there. We have decided on a backsplash not the color shown- in a stainless more modern look. It is not metal. Now we have to wait for the $$ to finish it. A new bed is coming first! Okay- sweating up a storm, off to shower and drive slowly to work- foggy!

Lowes- my husband is a Christmas light Junkie- he is in a good mood this year- so we are decorating- I think we are coming in our own as far as holiday spirit without children!

Good morning. Up in the middle of the night...then slept late...so behind to start the week. Excellent!

Monday is our craziest day so may not be back in tonight. We did get the tree up...Sarah's boyfriend works at the tree farm and after a very long day, he delivered ours in a stand, completely ready to set up. He is such a sweetheart!

Now, can we at least get lights on it tonight? That is my hope. It is 9 ft. tall and gorgeous! So excited.

Have a good day all!

Good morning my lovlies!!! Yes...I am here again today....surprised myself too :mrgreen:But the hubs was here with me this morning...he got the kids up and fed them breakfast...I got them dressed and ready and he took them to their buses!!:love:

And I am not going to my Mom's today....she promised she would be good....

I have already started a dessert this morning...I make on Thanksgiving and Mike only got two pieces...he whined about it...so out the major love of him being here to help me this morning...I felt like doing some awesome for him  his fave dessert...Chocolate Delight...you make a pecan crust then once it's done and cooled you make this chocolate/cream cheese mixture and there is cool whip and stuff in there too....I only make it once a year.

After that, I have two pages to make for gifts...I am making something for Sharon and Alison to put on canvas...I need to get them done and sent off...I made Jamie a book of all the photos I have taken of Josie her whole first year...it has 25 pages...it's just a very clean and simple...I used some of those P365 templates of Biograffit's and it turned out really nice....Winkflash had a special back in Oct...so I whipped it out pretty quickly and sent it off...a 12x12 book with 25 pages (plus the covers) cost me $30...WWWOOOOOOOOT!! They also had a special for 4x6's on Black Friday...so I had 200 prints done for my Mom...she wants a PHOTO ALBUM...she likes the books I make...but she wants a PHOTO ALBUM...yes Mom...I will make you a PHOTO ALBUM :becky: 200 photos for less than $20....oooh I am doing good on my $$ for Christmas!!! Well..not so much with my kiddos..I have overspent on them...what is new??

Maybe I will get the tree this week......won't bother me if it's not until the week of Christmas...but for the kids.....I am trying to get it soon....poor things, last year, I managed to get the tree up, but never decorated it...BAAAAAAAAd nana!! I just did not have the energy things were so upside down for me!!! I really can see how much better I am doing by how I am feeling about this holiday!!

Okay....Chris....I am glad you got a good night sleep...hope it keeps you going today..if you need a pep in your step, call me....I remind you how much I love you too!!!! :becky: The baskets are such nice gifts...I would be thrilled with one and if it was the same every year, would not bother me at all!!!!!!!! Here is wishing the mama and her babies stay safe too....ILLEGAL in VA to kill a mama or baby bears!!

Phylis.....you need my drugs....I am sleeping soooooooooooooo much better now...I get a minimum of 6 hours most nights 7 or 8....I do feel better too....now I just need some motivating drugs to get me going on all the stuff I WANT to do and never get done!! :pound: AS FOR YOU QUESTION ABOUT THE KIDS.............HELL NO and it really PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laurie.....love that backsplash....GORGEOUS!!! I have ceramic tile for mine...I actually did it myself...first time I ever tiled anything and I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself....(patting myself of back) :becky: I need a new bed too...KING size...but doubt that will happen!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning ladies... Slept like a log last night until 4am then off to the bathroom, back to bed and another hour of sleep, now I am dragging my butt!! Had a dream about my Dad last night, it was nice to have a visit from him, he seemed happy and told me how much he missed all of us. Hmmm it's been 15years since he passed, wonder why he came into my dreams last night? Isn't it funny how we dream about things?

Chris - Sounds like you had a pretty productive day! Me too, got my cards done, my calendars finished and the house all cleaned, laundry done too. No wonder I crashed at the end of the day! Hope your foggy mind clears today!! I will have to check pinterest out for some gift ideas for DIL and my SIL!

Phylis - I will be feeling the same way today, dragging my exhasted butt around, but it will be busy at work today, so hopefully that gets me going and the day will fly by I'm sure!
Sorry your kids are not treating you with the respect that you deserve!! Mine used to be bad when they were younger, but now they seem to understand the meaning of respect! Hope yours clue in soon!! You don't deserve to be treated badly!!

Laurie - Woot on the pre vacation weight!! You go girl!!! I would love to have your weight goal, I am about 20 lbs away from that  but the only way to do it, is with diet and excercise , something that I have not done for some time now. I really have to set a goal to be in better shape this coming year!!

Nana Linda - I got your card all ready to go yesterday and I was thinking how much I have missed you here!! Look at that, here you are, so happy that you have had a great time with your little ones and that Mike is now back home to help you out a bit more! How is your mother doing? Better I hope! to you my friend.

Sally- wow, you wrote a book yesterday LOL Loved it!!

Well off to the shower and to work, see you later in the day! Have a great Monday everyone!!

good morning - It has been a horribly stressful few hours - last night we had a rain storm and yes another transformer blew and I was without power again. It happened around 9pm in the middle of Sunday night football LOL and since I have the electric company on speed dial I quickly let them know that my grid was down again. These is twice in last week that I have lost power. It came back on at 3:30 am. Then this morning I go to check my email and the server says put in your password which I do and it does not accept the password which I have know is correct. So I call apple for help and believe me they were not helpful. They cannot tell me why this happened and so it could happen again. So they want to send me a link to correct the problem to my email account but that is the problem I cant get into my email account. Then they say I should have a backup account for password retrieval really???? So I set up another account but they will not send me the link for 24 hrs. So as much as I am glad there is security if they cannot help someone who has been a member for over 10 years makes me really frustrated.

But on the good news side I did get one of the wedding albums for my girlfriend printed and I really like it. Love my printer. We are having 60 degree weather so that is wonderful. Took my last photo from my bridge. It was a fun project.

Gosh it is fun to read how you all are cooking and decorating. I am hoping maybe next weekend. It is hard as this is one of the busiest times for my DH as it is the end of the university's semester so there are last exams and finals and grades have to be in. He does not have much time.

Have a great day!

Nancy, what an electro-nightmare you're living! but the worst part is the password thing! how frustrating! we're having 60+ degrees here, too. foggy and drizzly, though. it seems like March! glad your book turned out well. is your printer local?

Trudy, dreams really are so odd. who knows what turns on certain circuits in your brain and gets you dreaming about something so specific. i like that you had this visit!

Nana, you sound BUSY!!!!!!! and happy. all good. :becky:

It's been a great day - and I still have a couple of hours with TV and snacks before it's time to go to bed. It's COLD today, we had -18C when I got up (I guess it's about the same now). Checking the convertion site ... that is -0.4F

Had a lazy morning. 1 load of laundry then computer and audiobooks and some knitting. After lunch John had exercise at the physio therapist, and after that we went to the library and looked at books, waiting for DH to quit work. Lovely time ... I love spending time with him, when he's in the mood for socializing. He's such an intelligent and funny young man. Can't believe that's my baby, all grown up. (I know he's only 15, but he's so grown up at times).

Love long lazy days like this. Christmas spirit is coming :)

Eva where do you live?

Its minus 15 here too, brrrr. I hate it when you just can't get warm no matter how many layers i put on. I think I am fighting something, i feel off this week. Got a great headstart on my shopping so no stress there-yay! Looking forward to having the hubs and kids home for a week at christmas, everyone has time off! I am not feeling any desires yet for resolutions or changes or intentions or whatever-how about you? I usually get that urge in the Fall when the kids go back to school, right now is carry on as usual.

Sounds like some of you are getting in the swing of the holidays. I wish I were. After working so much the last six weeks, I'm a vegetable. Doing nothing. Nothing but playing. I just spent 1 1/2 hours playing a game on my Ipad. Starting to run out of bucks so I'll have to buy some if I want to keep playing. Arggghhhh........

Not much going on here besides work. I have to work out of town three days this week---Thursday-Saturday. Yep--Saturday. Yuck. The good thing---I have one of those "have to attend" formal functions on Friday night and hubby is going to drive the motorhome down--along with the three pooches. So, we will hob knob and act like we love being there when all I want to do is go back to the RV and snuggle with the pooches. The next day we are golfing at a really nice, nice golf course. I think I should charge it to the company!!

I did get to spend some time scrapping over the weekend. Mainly getting caught up on 365 pages and CT assignments. Need to finish one more for the CT and then I am scrapping for me.

So--some good news---I might be getting a pretty nice bonus. Thinking of getting myself a full frame camera. I think I deserve it!!

Phyllis--the younger generation is not like us. Sometimes I wonder where I went wrong with the kiddos. Although, 2 out of my 4 are really good. The other two are like most in the younger generation. The baby---he's too young to tell how he is going to turn out. right now he is still into "me."

Nancy--sounds like a nightmare!!

Chris--I have been following you and the meals. Sounds like you are batting 1000.

Laurie---you go girl! You can do it!!

Nana--I sort of chuckled when I read you put up a tree last year and never got around to decorating it. I might not even get the tree up this year!!!

Heather--hope you aren't getting sick.

Well I am off to see if I can find a little mojo before I head to bed.
