Who is up and ready to celebrate-- Boxing Day!?
*NOT* me!
*shakes head firmly*
I am celebrating PJ day. Probably not PJs all day but at least for now. I never made it back for personals yesterday as we had a small glitch with our furnace which put a crimp into things. Scott wanted to get the shower but had no hot water. I tried to take a shower and it was barely lukewarm. We have hot water baseboard heat and the coils that heat the water get mineral build-up on them. They have been harder to clean and in the last year, we know they are on borrowed time. But who has the money for a new furnace?
Gary had to turn the furnace off for a couple of hours while he ran the cleaner on the coils, so we had no heat or hot water so I couldn't wash dishes.
He finally got it working -- for how long, no clue... but at least we didn't have to call someone to try to fix it on Christmas Day.
Never dull. Nope.
Everything was very nice with the family and this was the best part-
As the grandparents were getting ready to head out, Scott had a little announcement. He said that last year, he expected that he would not be able to enjoy Christmas the same way again. He thanked everyone again for their support last year, how everyone came up here to be with him and that meant everything. Then he said how he realized *that* was what Christmas was about, not her. Not that she was here for 9 years. She was invited to our Christmas. She wasn't the critical part, our family is. It was heartwarming to see it all come full circle.
Who has lots to clean up today? I do.
xoxoxo!!
