It is Christmas Eve Eve and I am finally starting to feel good about it. I only have a few things on my To-Do list today and a few more that I need to do tomorrow morning. Then it will (hopefully!!) be just sitting back and relaxing. I said, "hopefully." ound:
I was able to wrap the gifts and wash the wine glasses. I made up the cookie trays for the people I am giving out today. I wouldn't say that it was 100% Sit on my Butt Sunday but it was more than I typically sit-- I was able to finish the LO of Tat in the Tree. It makes me smile. Silly girl.
Caitlyn is bringing two more rats into the home on Jan 4. Do you remember a few weeks ago when someone had dumped hundreds of rats, gerbils, hamsters, and guinea pigs on the side of a road to die? The local SPCA was trying to get them all rescued and adopted. All of the gerbils et al. found homes quickly but there are still so many rats and many of the females had litters soon after they were rescued. The rat rescue that Cait got these girls from took in as many as they could and the babies are now ready for adoption. Cait is getting two baby girls on Jan 4. They will be 6 weeks by then and they look a little like Livvie (hooded rats- brown heads and shoulders and white bodies with some brown spots).
Since Cait had already been approved- and the approval process last year was strict!- the Rat Rescue org didn't need any additional info from Cait so her app was processed quickly. I bet it helped that Caitlyn would send them update photos quite often. heh.
Expect many more rat pages to come in January
