Guess what? I am no long Ms. Cranky Pants. I am Queen Cranky Pants. I have moved into a whole 'nother realm of crank.
I am still struggling to sleep and W does not help the situation when she wakes me up to go outside. Every darn night. I was trying to get her to stop but then she went out to wake up Gary who was on the sofa.
I had another crazy busy day yesterday so you would *think* I would be tired enough to fall asleep and stay asleep. Physically, I am but mentally I am in overdrive. Everything is basically FUBAR.

So you don't think there isn't anything good happening, I have some pics to show you of the baskets I wrapped up.

Sorry they are blurry and the lighting is bad. I try to get photos of them so I can remember who got what and how I put them together each year. I have two more done and one more to complete if I can get one more thing to add to it.

I am cleaning here this morning. Just so Cait and I can make a mess in the kitchen tomorrow. ;)
Honestly, part of me is wondering if we should cancel Christmas this year. Omicron cases are through the roof in NY/NJ -- is it smart to have so many people together even if we are all vax'd?

Argh! I want to hibernate!!!!!
Anyone want to join me, as long as you keep a 6-foot distance? LOL

Haha! I was sooooo optimistic yesterday:
Sorry for being such a cranky pants the past few days. I think that after today I will be in better spirits.

@bcgal00 OMG, I loved the photo of Taz and Remi that you posted on FB. Love it!!! Taz's face made me laugh!
I am so sorry that baking was hard. I guess you have to take those small moments of joy and really treasure them. Hugs to you all.

@BrightEyes A PJ day sounds wonderful! You seem to have everything under control. Good for you! (I mean that sincerely not snarky) The washer manufacturer said they will give us a check for the washer- what we paid for it 3 years ago. Much, much less than what they cost now. I'll just keep washing on cold, but that doesn't help Cait with her allergies. :/

@mywisecrafts He is too cute! My gnomes in the baskets agree!

I too am cranky pants, I have a puppy 8 months who woke up at 7 am when the kids went to school. She's a biter and she bit my leg again. I have bruises up and down my leg. They keep telling me to turn but she bites my butt and then I have bruises there. I now escape to my laundry room and sit and cry on my floor until she calms down and I can come back into my kitchen. Get a Husky they said. They are friendly they said. Yes, sometimes is friendly but she likes to play rough and use her mouth. When she has to poop she will bite you out of no where even though I have a ring bell on the door. I finally gave her a new toy to bite so I can sit down and have my coffee,.

I am seeing my parents on Christmas day along with my sister and kids. I need to wrap their gifts and figure out what the heck I am bringing to their house. Trying. not to watch the news or go on my facebook too much so I can get things done around the house. I'm working on Dec Daily so need to write a story about yesterday to catch up. Mostly it was learning this stupid mac machine so frustrating but I think I now know how to do it and luckily I only had a few kits to rename and move stuff around.

Was looking in the store to see if they had any one little word kits. I just finished my 2021 word BREATHE and now I'm moving into a new word ENOUGH so been journaling about that.

Well, I now have to get the toy away from. my pup she murdered another one. She rips apart every toy I give her. Anything soft is a gonna. Towels and clothes are her attack mode. She even ate my couch so I no have a wooden bench in my living room. Not very comfy to watch tv. I can't even sit with her like normal dogs as she uses her mouth too much and her teeth are sharp.

Glad I found this post. This is great to rant and get things off your chest.

I am a bit crazy right now. Do you know that Christmas is this week? I must have some really strong mind control to have blocked that out! I don't know what I did yesterday but I remember being busy...

But today, I am pulling boxes out of our storage space...and boy, is that space loaded with boxes....and looking for tree decorations. Seriously, what is wrong with me? I have been begging the small, strong child (Sydney) to pull out the boxes with tree decorations but did she? No. So, while Brian works, I am pulling out the boxes. I did make the executive decision to not put out any of the table toppers. I have 100's...well if you count the separate pieces...remember NOEL is comprised of 4 letters and many times my table toppers have all 4 letters as separate pieces. Anyway, I don't have a good place to put all of them so I'm labeling the box correctly to identify it as the box with the counter decorations...and then I'm shoving them back into the storage space.

@bcgal00 that photo was adorable of the dogs with their Santa caps.

@faerywings the baskets are beautiful. You did such a good job! Hope the last one comes together today.

@mom2triplets04 oh I do hope that you will continue to come to the Daily O's. It is the greatest escape in the world. We have a 3 1/2 year old Newfypoo and she is the mellowest of dogs. But she wasn't as a puppy. They call it the "flying piranha stage" on my FB groups...I still have a scar on my leg from when she came flying through at about 75 pounds and jumped on me on the bed...big huge gash down my leg. She is now, truly, the best dog ever. The other dog just turned 2 and still acts a bit like a puppy. She is a Sheepadoodle. She is goofy and loves to jump on you...and not all of us (Sydney) treat it consistently. However, they are both sleeping at my feet as I type. I promise it does get better.

Ok...back to the Christmas decorations. (I did find wrapping paper so I can get some gifts wrapped.) See you ladies later.

@LSkycord thank you. Somedays I just lose my hope that things will get better with this puppy. There were a few times even my husband wanted to sell her. I pray every day that she will be a better loving dog and not hurt me. As for decorations. I didn't even take out our tree this year. The puppy eats everything. Luckily our menorah was not touched and the hanukkah helpers did make an appearance they are still hanging on my dining room chandelier. Luckily puppy didn't see them as they are high so she can't get to them. I still need to wrap the presents for my family. They are all bought but I think I will just use bags. I just don't feel like wrapping.

Good morning ladies. The sun was out yesterday and the dogs all had a blast at the dog park, met Jen and Bella there. Ended up not getting any wrapping done yesterday, I scrapped a bit and watched shows with D. I was feeling lazy and figured I'd better take advantage of it b/c the rest of the week will be busy with Xmas preparations. I'm setting up a Xmas wrapping station in the spare room and will watch videos on my tablet as I wrap off and on throughout the week. I might pop out for a few hours tomorrow morning to the bird sanctuary (so if you don't hear from me you know where I am). They are forecasting rain in the afternoon so if that holds true then I will get out of here around 8:30. I haven't taken my nikon 950 to reifel yet so am going to take that. It doesn't get the action shots that my other camera can get but it has a much further reach so I'll get more close-ups. It'll be fun no matter what I get.

@faerywings your baskets look wonderful! I sure wish you and me both could get decent sleeps....ugh. I ended up watching TV from 4:30 onwards, couldn't fall back asleep. Remi nuzzled in my neck, snoring softly, and I had to keep from laughing which would have woken her up and then it would have been playtime LOL.

@mom2triplets04 I feel for your frustration with the pup. It'll get better. Remi is turning 1 next wk and she has calmed down a bit (as much as an aussie can LOL) and the nipping has stopped. Now we just have to watch for the batting paws and grabbing onto our arm for attention with her super sharp humungous claws.

@LSlycord Good luck getting the tree up. We only half decorated our tree (the upper half and only used a few decorations) b/c its Remi's first Xmas and she keeps banging into it and lays beneath it so don't want to tempt her to play with the tree or break anything. It sure made the decorating go a lot faster LOL.

I'm getting another coffee and then spending the morning getting my desk work done, then I will officially be off work for a week. Looking forward to it. I want to watch some Netflix Xmas movies tonight. I'm wearing a Xmas sweatshirt today and will wear holiday shirts the rest of the week, its a fun tradition.

Good late morning.

Adrienne came down for coffee - looks like things are back to normal.

Chris @faerywings your baskets look amazing! You're so talented and you've worked so hard on them. Give your crankiness a break, Girl - bask in your creativity AND you're done with them! Christmas is a crazy time and I'm sort of glad that I have some time to myself. We nailed down our Christmas Eve dinner plans - who's bringing what. Steph will be cooking here so that sill be chaotic.

They all came here last night and brought tons of pizza. Of course, we have a bunch left over and it will end up getting pitched. I thought we'd eat it tonight, but Adrienne and Roger want Chuck and I to go out to dinner - just the 4 of us. It sounds nice, it hasn't been the 4 of us for a long time. We're going to an Italian restaurant.

Chris, I'll join you in hibernation - we don't have to social distance because I'm fully vaxxed - as long as you don't make me wear a mask. BWAHAHa

I'll try to stop back later.

@bcgal00 - what holiday movie did you get to see on netflix? I have netflix and I'm always looking for something to watch. Not a holiday movie but I need to finish the witcher season 2. Started it but I need to watch without distractions or I miss things. I did watch the sandra bullock movie but that too was not holiday related.

Just finished my audio book for November yup I was behind. Well, actually I did listen to the whole thing in November but I took it out from library again to take notes as it was just a great book and something I'd like to put into my life. The book was called Gratitude Daily by Nataly Kogan. For the month of November I was focused on gratitude and this book was very good. I'm giving it 5 stars. Which reminds me I need to update goodreads with this book and rating. It's not often that I find 5 star books and I do read a lot. I also DNF (do not finish) books a lot as well.

Another busy day... a trip to the bank to get papers notarized, to the Post Office to mail letters and and quick stop at the Senior Citizen Center Library. Looks like every one and their brother/sister was at the bank... the line was out the door and the drive-thur was full, too. That should be the last of the paperwork over and done with. Picked up a few books at the CSC. Need to go to the city library tomorrow - they were closed today - and have a book on hold for me there. Stopped long enough to have a bite of lunch here then came in to see what is going on.

@faerywings Those basket looks fantastic and filled to the brim! You deserve to take a break... and even deserve to feeling cranky after all that work!

@Cherylndesigns You have been busy with all the company and pizza plus going out for dinner tonight. Only a few more days until Christmas then everyone can lay back and relax when the holiday is over. BTW, here in NM we still have to wear a mask when out anywhere even when fully vaccinated.

@mom2triplets04 Which Sandra Bullock movie did you watch?? I just re-watched The Lake House this past week. Think it is one of my favorites of her movies. I am bummed that my DVD copy of In Love and War won't load any more. Got to watch it once. Of course, since it was a used DVD - and a set of 4 movies together - I won't holler about too much. Sorry you have had such a hard time with the puppy biting, etc.

Got a call coming in I have to take. Back later... maybe...

@BrightEyes - the new sandra bullock movie called the unforgivable I believe it is number 1 for the week on netflix. I don't watch much tv but do enjoy movies from time to time. It does keep me off facebook scrolling at least.

I don't have Netflix. Thanks... I am not sure I want to watch it after seeing the trailer and reviews. Already a hard time for me right now.

Dec 20th and I run out of toner. I have a new package on my desk. Well, it's not the correct number. Ugh! Now, have to wait till Wednesday for Amazon to deliver toner. This is awful for December Daily.

@mom2triplets04 Decided on a Dexter binge for a few nights. We'll save the Xmas movies for later in the week when my daughter comes to stay for a few nights. BTW, I am excited to see S2 of the Witcher. On Netflix I want to see A Boy Called Christmas, Single All The Way, Holiday Rush and Christmas Chronicles 1 and 2.

Wow, everyone is so busy! Christmas gifts aren't in the cards for this year, so I'm not. We're baking cookies tomorrow, though, Yum! We'll have a great meal on Christmas Day, that we all cook together, play cards and board games. After the tornadoes in our area, everything is very low key. With so much destruction, it just doesn't seem Christmas-y.

@faerywings - what kind of allergies does Cait have that cold water doesn't help with? I've had major allergies all my life, maybe I can help?
