Happy Tuesday! And Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate that tonight.:)

its official here at the Faery House- all presents are wrapped! woo hooo! All cookies are baked and in the freezer. The only problem is that i really am not liking the way my oven cooks. Even though they didn't burn, several batches got overcooked. :Cry: Oh well..... nothing I can do about it now. Now all that is left is to clean my ownn house, which will have to get squeezed in between cleaning 3 clients this week.

Not much else going on here..... How are all of you?

Phyllis- Oh seriously- the last 3 movies were just fantastic! I loved them all but I loved that they really stayed with the books. So many scenes in this last one were ones I had seen in my head as I read them to the point where i thought I was having deja vu!

Oh drat, Maureen- I had a recipe for a rosemary and cracked blk pepper shortbread that I made for FIL as a gift a few years back. I wish i could find it....

Donna- crash and burn, baby- that is what I am really good at hahah! You
are really brave to go to a football game in Dec- but I am so glad that you had fun!

Eva- You *must* try Anna's designs. MUST!! I was really intimidated at first. Not only because it was way out of my comfort zone, but b/c all of the LOs in her gallery were just mind blowing. but they are really really fun to use, and you start doing "stuff' that you wouldn't normally do and it all looks great!

Oh fran...... :( So so sorry that this has been so difficult. Wish i could wrap you in a big hug.

Trudy- ack! What a mess for your DD. But she is home with you and that is where she is meant to be, at least for a while. How long is she staying?

Can you believe this little cutie turned into a 14 year old teenage mutant? Oh, I love him to pieces, and I'm sure he's easier than most teens, but he sure can drive me crazy at times. Not sure what word teens use over there, but it's so frustrating when the standard answer is "och?!" (Swedish for "and?!"). In that one word is "why should that matter to me?/why do you bother me?/get out of here!" Good thing for him I remember how I was when I was a teen :p

Today I have to do some preparations for Christmas. I'm going downstairs soon and start peeling potatoes for the Janssons frestelse I still haven't done. Today's the day! Won't do much cleaning - just some declutter and wipe of the toilets. That'll do. The trick is to never have your home too neat - then no one expects you to have it perfect, and get really impressed if you have a clean dinner table ;)
 
Okay...I started another thread a minute ago because I seriously did not see this one............REALLY??? I deleted...but WOW...yesterday must have been more taxing on my nerves than I realized!!! :pound:

Okay......so GOOD MORNING to you all.............things were really rather calm here yesterday...but today has started off completely different!!!...so I better run...............need to keep these kiddos from going too wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!

made a page, posted the AnnaSale stuff, gonna put in some laundry and make more bread, one for my centerpiece and the other to add to yesterday's bread for Christmas dinner. i wrapped the presents yesterday. (i don't go in for fancy wrapping. i think i'm a Grinch....) trying to think of some room i can clean that will STAY clean until Sunday.

i hope i accomplish more today. i feel like i've just been floating around, doing random stuff. thank goodness i have a few more days to get my act together.

Chris, you're putting me to shame with all this accomplishment!

Eva. now you're hooked! i TOLD you it was was easy and fun!

Good Morning Ladies! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, they were needed and are still needed. My mom was going to be moved to a rehab facility yesterday, but my stepfather wanted her in a different one then the one she was going to. So she is still in the hospital and hopefully will be moved to the other one today.....

I'm doing fine just worried about my mom and wishing for the first time I lived closer to her to help out.

Good news my grandson and stepdaughter will arrive Wednesday and stay until Christmas.....whooo hooo I get to play....

Chris - Oh my you have your hands full.....just take it a step at a time and rejoice each time you get one of your chores done.

Eva - that is just plum gorgeous! So glad you decided to try Anna's stuff........

Morning all sooo late again today, stayed up to long with DD and her boyfriend and now I have to get my lunch packed this morning instead of doing it like I usually do at night. Would love to crawl back into bed :sleep: but its to the shower I go. :sorry: no time for personals, but really hope I can get back here later today!! Thinking of all of you!! :wave:

btw, Eva, is that word with a hard sound at the end like aw-k, or aw-ch? I think I may start to use it... You may have to ask Chris if 'whatever..' is still the dreaded comment. When I see my son and dil this weekend, I'll ask. Then you can teach your son how to bug you in English too!

Well I did laundry today, went and met a friend who got sober when I did but went back to drinking and abusing prescription drugs 3 yrs ago and nearly died. Gosh, what a gratitude lesson for me! She is probably losing her job, she has filed for bankruptcy, and her house is up for foreclosure. I've actually seen worse, but I do hope she can save something for herself and her teenage son.

Anyhow, I'm here deleting old backups from my ehd. It's time consuming because I have to do it one at a time, and usually forget til the ehd is out of memory. 2012 - it's gonna be a scheduled monthly thing.

It's pronounced like "ock" in the English word lock - just skip the L :)
