Happy Monday, O-Fam!
I think I am a little less grumpy than I was yesterday but not 100% sure about that. It is still early and dark and cold and snowy- and none of those things make me very happy :bored: I don't know what to do about getting organized here. I tried yesterday but didn't have much luck.

Thankfully, we did not go out to get a tree. Cait wasn't up to it and I was 100% not mentally ready. I steamed cleaned and then scrubbed out the storage drawer in the bottom of the stove- the mice had been in there as well. Gary built a humane mouse trap out of an old cat litter bucket and has been catching/releasing a couple of them a *day.* There has to be a nest in the basement to have so many. or they are the same mice- get released, sneak back in. But if they are smart enough to do that, then I would hope that they would be smart enough to not get caught again.

I brought down a couple of boxes of decorations but really don't want too much stuff out. Knowing we we going to get snow, I raced to put the outdoor garland and bows up since I wouldn't traipse through the snow to get to the fence along the driveway.
The soup I made-- yuck. It was butternut squash soup in the crock pot. Gary liked it, the rest of us did not. I actually dumped the leftovers into the garbage. That had to be one of the very few times I have done that.

I will be stuck inside today other then scraping and shoveling the snow and ice. Kids are home too.
I have to get organized, Have to. HAVE TO. I am usually scattered this time of year, but this year is bad.

Sorry that I never made it back for personals yesterday. I will try to catch up today.

Good afternoon girls!
I'm very satisfied by Cyber Monday. My family have tradition to give others wish-list with wanted presents links, so now I'll just have to hope on delivery on time. For my sister is puzzle so I was thinking about you Chris, as it was on a great deal, but I'm not sure it will worth it after worldwide delivery tax, and it's so slow so probably will come too late for Christmas.
For me from her is 52 subscription, I want it from the moment when Viki send me the email that it's realized now, but I had to wait until the beginning on month for the money transfer, which because of the time zone was on 2nd for me, even for bank its late on December 1st. Anyway I have it now and I'm so happy! There was also Colab for every order over $15, so my presents are two, hooray! I have to save on my HD the kits from previous two years, as because they don't expired I always procrastinate this. I even have unused coupons so I'm waiting sale to end so to redeem that too. I start feel much like Christmas now!

Hope you have a lovely day, my dears, and my personals are in yesterday post as I was last there. :focus:
Chris, Sorry for the bad weather, But it's some we can expect at this time of the year, don't allow it to bother you!! I can't understand, excuse me, you have unwanted wild mouse? Oh that's bad they are very tricky. Hope you'll be in mood for decorating and celebrating soon!

just a quick pop in, I had a post going catching up from Saturday, and then the power flickered and my computer shut down. Then it happened again, so I decided to take that as a sign to not continue. Thinking of you all and wishing everyone a wonderful day!

good morning - the snow has started and will probably last all day. I am so grateful that I do not have to drive or go any where. We have plenty of left overs. Watching Hallmark Christmas movies. And my Devils play tonight in Buffalo. They have a game tomorrow night in Newark. Hope the snow does not keep them from traveling. Actually I hope they play well.

Chris sorry that things are so crazy. But it is that time of the year LOL. Good luck!

Felis congrats on the early Christmas presents! So happy for you!

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone and Happy Monday?? Well it is a very foggy Monday and yesterday was cold and we even got a bit of snow. Not one thing went the way I had planned yesterday :mmph: I spent far too much time at the grocery store, it was so busy!! I guess everyone else out there decided that Sunday was a good day to get groceries! DH was putting in a timer for the fan in the bathroom downstairs and then decided that the fan cover really needed a cleaning, so he did that but as he was putting it back up it cracked in half!! Now we need to replace that, oh well that is not an expensive fix, however he also decided that the pocket door on our on-suite bathroom needed to be adjusted. It makes a horrible banging sound when you open it, turns out that it cannot be adjusted and we need to get something to replace that!! So the argument over whether it should be a regular door like he wants or a barn door like I want began. I was in a bad mood to begin with LOL. Then I started cleaning and of course that took longer because I needed to get into the bathroom that DH was working on. Anyway I never got one thing done here, nor did I get anything done on my Calendar or my painting :hurt: I hope today will be more productive!!

Chris - I know exactly how you feel!! I am feeling the same way today also! Less grumpy than yesterday, but not by much! Was there a full moon yesterday or something?? Hopefully your power does not go out completely and I also hope that you are able to be mouse free soon! Ugh those little guys are very sneaky!! I have not started decorating either and probably will not until next weekend when DH can help me get everything out of the crawl space. I think we are the only house on the street without any lights on for Christmas, oh well!!

Felis - I am happy that it is Cyber Monday also, I need to grab a couple of gifts today at some point and hopefully I will find some good deals! I sure hope that all of your purchases arrive for Christmas Day! It is sad that you are feeling so badly about your life! You should be so proud of the strong woman that you are! Yes it would be nice to have someone else take care of everything for you, but only if that person makes you truly happy!! I hope that the Christmas challenges and all the other fun things that are going on here will put you in a better place! Please know that all of us here at the O love you and we are here for you!

I am getting a facetime call from Heather and Hunter so will have to pop in again later to catch up with everyone else :sorry:

Good morning, ladies.

Chris - I wish we had a little snow, better that then the yucky rain we have. But I'm sure you'd rather trade with me LOL. We are never happy with whatever weather we have.

Felis - so happy that you are getting such a great gift of the 52 inspirations.

Trudy - I love barn doors. I vote for that! Hope today is a better day for you.

Had a fun Saturday with B and then on Sunday spent the day with a friend, going to the bird sanctuary. It was probably the most fun I've ever had there (which is saying a lot b/c I always enjoy going there). The little birds were everywhere, excited to be fed (we buy seed at the front entrance) and they were plentiful and much more friendly than usual. A few times they were landing on my head, they kept sitting on my friend's boot and they were constantly sitting in our hands, eating the seed from us. I got lots of photos of them perched in the trees and can't wait to get some photo cards made for Xmas with some of them. The sandhill cranes were even eating out of people's hands but I didn't feed them b/c there bite hurts and I didn't want to take a chance. We're going back in Jan or Feb when we get some frost/light snow. I wanted to go last yr but never got a chance so this time I'm going if the weather cooperates.

I'll be digging out Xmas boxes slowly throughout the wk. It'll just be me doing it b/c Jen's shoulder is still injured, D's stomach/back issues prevent him from bending over and pushing/lifting....so that leaves me. I'll space it out, a bit each day, so I don't strain my back.

Got myself a Xmas mug at the craft fair on Sat, I love it, its got a saying on it about watching hallmark Xmas movies. B had a few dollars with her and bought me a little wooden crafted gift. I love that girl so much. I paid and she bought gifts for D and J for Xmas. She won't remember that she picked these out but I can remind her on Xmas day that these were bought when we were together and she picked them out. That will make her very happy.

Anyway, better get back to work, busy Monday (as always). Home all day except for walking Taz. I need to get into the gallery later and comment on the gorgeous LOs I see in there. It's so inspiring.

I am late getting in here today. Got a call from DD#1 that she was coming over and she brought left-overs from their Thanksgiving dinner for me. First time I have seen her since we got home last Monday. With the weather [snow then sleety rain] we weren't getting out. The foot was better this morning but it is aching again by mid-afternoon. I kept it up most of her visit then we went out into the garage to put away suitcases and get my small golden pine-cone tree plus my Santa snowglobe. Also wanted to show her a large rolling storage bin that her DH may want to use to store part of his wood-working tools. Need to mail some letters that will have to wait until tomorrow - will do it early in the day - as that seems to be when the foot is better.

So glad to see how many are taking part in the 12 Days of December events already!

Felis, congrats on your gifts - especially the 52 inspirations for 2020! I just ordered mine, too. It is always so much fun to see what is in them each week.

Hope that the grumpy spirits lessen, Chris and Trudy... seems like the start of the Christmas season can cause them until you get things sorted out of when, where, etc. I have some Christmas music playing the last couple of days hoping that would help my spirits. This year seems to be harder than last year with missing DH so much. And without the great-grandkids around since their move back in Aug - and seeing how excited they are about the holidays.

Gotta go... got a call from DD that I need to take.
