Hooo boy. It is gonna be a huge coffee kind of day! Lots and lots to do today. Food shopping, pharmacy, putting boxes back in the attic, online C-mas shopping, calls in to two different insurance companies, then meeting my BFF for coffee, and hitting some stores on the way home. :tea:

Our tree is up, and it looks pretty! But man, the rest of the house is a mess! Where in the world did we get so many boxes of ornaments and decorations? Its like they are bunnies up in the attic all summer :D

So that is about it here for me. Insanity as always.

Phyllis- hahahha!!! I bet your house looks awesome in in non-trad decor. But nope nope. My kids would not like that at all! Cracks me up how much things have to be the same for them. Even some of the ornies have to be in the same spots on the tree. :p
CONGRATS on the new baby!!!! Girls are so much fun! To dress up at least. Not so much when they talk back. heh!

Trudy- hugs and chicken broth coming your way. Hope it is a quick thing and that you are up and running today!

Lilja- The lights in your windows sound so pretty! I love seeing lights like that!

Morning O fam- Chris, we have not put our tree up yet- that will be next weekend. Today I need to finish putting away the travel items, then get ready for the work week. Oh and scrap!
 
'morning, guys. a strange, segmented sort of a night. Trudy, what GOES with us and sleeping??!!! but onward into MONDAY. i already cyber-shopped a bit, so that's it for me and Cyber Monday.

Chris, aren't the boxes the WORST thing about decorating. i used to drag everything out and put everything back by myself. no more. Hubby does all the box-toting. but i still don't like decorating. i keep putting it off.... have some fun with your friend today!

After a whole week with a stomach upside down, I hope to have a more peaceful week!
Today I am doing some homework, I have to rewrite an article for my rewriting course. And I also need to prepare a short text for my English course of tomorrow evening.

And I hope to have some me-time for some scrap, as there are all the new challenges up in the forum and I want to play too!
 
good morning - very bleak looking right now but at least it is above freezing. Yesterday after hearing such sad news about the train derailment in the Bronx and Paul Walker's death I decided I need some uplifting news so I watched the CNN heroes show hosted by Anderson Cooper. It was so uplifting to see what these heroes have accomplished. I did some scrapping done so that was good and I did watch hockey. Also got in a good walk. And my DH decided to try a new corn bread recipe. That plus turkey day leftovers made a great dinner.

Chris amazing your tree is up. I am not planning that until next weekend. Sounds like one busy day. Have fun with your BFF.

Phylis love the sound of non traditional. Have fun at the Deli! And hoping the post office visit goes well.

Laurie glad you are back home safely - have a good week back.

A walk and some scrapping is guaranteed to get the spirits up Nancy. I'd love some turkey day leftovers :)
 
Morning ladies... Up with my hubby at 5:30 am to get us both a hardy breakfast of Oatmeal, toast and coffee. Small portion for me as my stomach is still a bit on the queazy side. But feeling so much better than yesterday!! So far I have the bed made, dishwasher going, :washing: started and now I have lots of time to sit here in front of the computer and be with all of you!!

Chris - You have your tree up already? Boy when you get into the Christmas spirit you really get it all done don't you ? Have a wonderful time with your BFF today!! Hope the shopping trips go well and you don't get stuck in any long line ups!! Enjoy your very busy day! Thanks for the chicken soup!! :hungry: it always helps!!

Phylis - Sorry that you had another crappy sleep night! I have come to the conclusion that a good nights sleep is not going to happen for me anymore, so when I do get more than 5-6 hrs of sleep I feel like I should shout it from the rooftops!!

Nancy - Glad that you found something to lift your spirits! Yes it was a very sad day for so many yesterday! Here a woman from Alberta lost control on the slushy highway and went off a hill into a lake, she died and left her two very small children in critical condition , she was trying to pass someone, stupid, stupid , stupid!!!!! Some days its just hard to find anything uplifting, so I am happy that you did!! How nice that your hubby bakes!! I love cornbread!!

Ok hoping to get a bit of Cyber Monday shopping done, need to find Djeco arty toys for the grandkids, but ohhhh they want too much for them on Amazon.ca. Anybody know where I can find some?? Enjoy your Monday all, do something you love!! :wave:
 
So, last night when we got home, I was excited because I had the house pretty clean before we left. I noticed a slightly off smell, but realized I had not emptied the trash can before we left. However, when dh opened the hall closet to hang our coats, it reeked of dead mouse smell. I now have a clean closet and every b ox that was in it has been emptied. No sign, so I am guessing it is in the walls. Oh well, the closet is clean and I will wait to put the coats back after the smell is gone. Now wasn't I going to scrap??
 
Trudy I found an interesting online store called The Gromet - they might be worth checking out. I bought stuff from them today as they are having sales and free shipping
