The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
hey hey hey, its the last week to go before the big days! Is everyone on track to be ready? I think I am, all except for Christmas menu and cleaning the house.
The last gifts should be delivered today so they will get wrapped this afternoon. I spent 2 houirs cleaning my office space yesterday. Who knew a 8x8 box could get so cluttered?

How was everyone's weekend? The highlight of mine was watching Harry potter, oh how I LOVE the books and movies. It was sad to know it is at an end. But I know I'll be rereading the series for years to come.

me Me monday:
Scrap time. I need to scrap- I kept saying that i would have time over the weekend and it never happened....

Have a great one! Sending love and hugs to all of you!

Morning Chris. I was thinking you were up very early, then remembered that I am currently on CST. I had a lovely meetup with Sally yday. I gave her your hug. Now I am hanging at the airport for the journey to New Orleans. Still itchy from those nasty skeeter bites. Should be the state bird of Texas.

Ironing today - that's my plan. I need to return the videos too, but other than that, I'm not sure what's to do. Of course, there are tons to do ... but I'm not sure if I'll do anything of it LOL

Good Morning ladies......just wanted to pop in for a minute.....I may end up never being seen again for a while....I HAVE FOUR KIDS ALL DAY LONG THIS WEEK...THE WEEK OF CHRISTMAS...YIKES!!!! TALK ABOUT HYPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recorded a bunch of movies......I hope I can get them to sit for a couple of hours each day to watch one.....we will see....................................

have a great day everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'morning, everybody. Chris, i watched the last Harry Potter AGAIN yesterday while i was working in the kitchen. the books were fabulous, and i'm glad they finally got the director right toward the end of the movies.

i gotta bake bread today. i'll freeze it, then put it in the oven before dinner on Christmas to warm them up. i used to get up at the crack of dawn to bake bread on Christmas, then it occurred to me that i could do it in advance and freeze it! took me long enough to figure that out. then think 'll wrap presents and get them by the fireplace and out of my bedroom. too early to start cleaning. so i guess some ironing is in order, instead. wow. am i boring!

have a great Monday!

Morning Peeps!

Up early, like before 6am, so a lot of computer stuff done already. Now time for breakfast and some more tidying downstairs. Getting a load of laundry in next and then some pork bone picking for a posole.

We went out for Cuban food yesterday with a Groupon, so there's black beans and rice plus a bit of Persil for my lunch. That persil was soooo good but looking it up, all the recipes said it was Puerto Rican. Whichever island, it was so so good.

I need to find a savory shortbread recipe and may end up winging that one myself. Shortbread with Parmesan, pepper and rosemary like we had in NYC. It will be my one concession to 'holiday baking'. cy'all later.

HellOOO!

Early Monday morning and I'm feeling energized..............which will probably not last all day so will get my rear in gear and get lots done this AM.

The Chiefs and Packers football game was lots of family fun yesterday. I could have spent the day just taking photos of all the fun hats people wear. Temps in the 50's which for December weather is amazing!

Enjoy your day and hope you all accomplish all you hope to today.

5 shirts ironed - I need a break LOL

I'm thinking I should try out Anna Aspnes' designs ... I love what I see in the gallery, but I'm not sure I can do anything like it. Feels a bit out of my comfort zone :)

Good Morning my O'Family.....back from a trip down to see my mom. Had a MAJOR meltdown at my half way point (poddy stop) when I got back in the car and it wouldn't start.....felt lots of panic, call DH crying, (he's two hours away) ready to turn around and just come home if it ever started. It finally started after a half hour of trying and I decided to go on to my mom's and stop at the chevy dealership to have them look at it after I see my mom at the hospital. Anyhoooooo long story short, I didn't go to the dealership because they didn't have one. My luck held and it started the rest of the time.

My mom is really weak, they think she might have had a mini stroke when she was first admitted along with a mild heart attack....telll me how either one of those could be considered mild.....she was better each day I was there. Yesterday they got her up to try and walk, she walk maybe 15 steps, it was hard to watch her struggling with that. But the therapist assured us she did great for her first time. So anyway I'm not giving you all the details because it would be one long book.

It was sooooo good to get home and see DH, I missed him terribly, in our 11 yrs together we are hardly ever apart....

Well off to get ready for work....you all have a fantastic day.....

Happy Monday everyone!! Such a very busy weekend, picked up DD at the airport and they had the trip from hell!! Plane was late leaving, then it was overbooked and they missed their connecting flight, got put on another one right away, but then it was rush, rush, rush to catch it! Finally got to the Island and of course my daughter's walker never made it to the airport :frusty: So to make a long day longer, we had to wait until the next flight came in 2hrs and it was of course late!! I hate Air Canada!!! Everytime we have used them they have lost one of our luggage pieces. We try so hard to always travel with WestJet, they are fun, friendly and have never once lost anything of ours. Oh well she made it here and that's what counts right?? Now shopping is done and we can have fun! Work for four days this week, then I am off until after New Years Hooray!!

Chris - Glad that you are going to be all ready for the big day!! It is amazing how much clutter we collect isn't it!! I have not watched all of the Harry Potter movies yet, but really hope to one day! Have a great day! Hope your prezzies arrive today so you can get things all wrapped up!!

Eva - You sound like me having to iron all those shirts! I hate ironing!!

Laurie - Lucky you!! You got a visit in with Sally!! Hope you are having fun on your vacation!

Nana Linda - Sure hope you can get those kiddos to sit for a bit and give you a break for a few minutes! Must be very exciting at your house with all those little ones waiting for Santa to arrive!!

Phylis - Yummm, your bread sounds delicious!! Welcome to the boring life of wrapping presents and getting ready for Christmas! Hope all is well with your little Grandman! Mine is finally out of the hospital with pneumonia and now grandaughter has an eye infection. Will they make it home for Christmas?? We are still waiting for the answer.

Maureen - Cuban food!! Hope it was great!! We found the food kinda blah when we were in Cuba, but it was at a resort so probably not the real authentic stuff :noidea:

Fran - Oh my I am so sorry that you had a meltdown!! It is so sad for you to see your mother like that!! I pray that she recovers quickly and will be up and active again soon! Its so hard to see them ill, we always think of them as being the pillars of the family and can't imagine them not being strong! to you my friend!! Glad you made it safely home to your hubby !!

Well have a great Monday everyone! Hope to be here later for a little bit. But with DD here it is hard to get computer time!

Maureen, sounds like your hubby is doing well!

Trudy, just a few of MANY reasons i don't fly....

Frani, your story made me sad. i know how hard it it to watch your mom struggle. i hope
she gets better and stronger. this is hard to go through. for all of you.

Donna, wish i had that optimistic can-do attitude! i'm baking bread, and it looks like my yeast is weak. which means i will probably have to do it all AGAIN. i'm Windexing windows as i wait through all the bread risings. now i have to wait for some sunshine to see all the places i missed. i just want to sit down and have someone bring me some LUNCH!

Eva! The nifty thing about Anna is that she does at least 50% of the work for you, and you come out of it smelling like a rose! (LOOKING like a rose?) buy just ONE ArtPlay Palette that appeals to your color or theme sense. then just play. do a Jackson Pollak at first: just throw stuff onto your "canvas" and see what happens! you'll love the results, i promise.

A day with a lot of computer action, mostly all good, but I hope to visually describe that tomorrow. ;)

Chris, I know how you felt with the final Harry Potter. While I never read the books, I started the film series this summer and it was a lot of fun. Thank goodness for my Swedish detective books to keep me going.

Laurie, I never thought much of the Texas climate even tho I was out in West Texas back in the day. Fortunately, no skeeters there.

Nana Linda, just the thought of those children makes me want a nap. thinking Movies…for you!

Donna, hope you got half as much as you hoped to get done, done.

Eva, 5 shirts is enough for the day imho.

Fran, you deceived a meltdown. Tears are good and let all that anxiety and tension out. Having known more people who have had heart attacks and/or strokes, I do understand that they both can be minor as opposed to massive or killer. No matter what the level, it's cause for concern and often the wake up call a younger person needs.

Trudy, so sorry to hear about the long long wait for your daughter to actually GET hoe. We've always had great service on AirCanada but that's been the international side. Exhale and have fun now.

Phylis, YOU can throw and it looks good…I'm not that great of a 'pitcher'. Practice it is.. Hope your bread came out.
