Seven more days!! :whoo:
I know-- before you all tell me that my math is wrong (not a bad assumption!), I remind you that in my family, Christmas is a 2-day event. Thus, seven days until Christmas Eve.
I was busy all day yesterday with paints and hot glue and glitter and ribbons. The wine bottle centerpiece came out amazing if I do say so myself. I have a pic on my phone so I will upload it soon. I finished painting the wood frames and hangers for my mom. Today will be choosing and printing the photos for it. I am thinking b/w will be a nice contrast to the pale sage green I used. I am almost done with SIL's wine cork wreath. I need to double check that all of the corks are firmly attached and then get rid of all of the hot glue threads. I enjoy crafting with hot glue much more at Halloween, the threads make everything a bit more "cobwebby" and no need to pick them all off.

My ILs came up and only stayed a little while. MIL had brought some sewing that she had to do so we sat at the table together with our projects. The LR looks huge without the sofa in it. But there is no way we could ever deal with having just a loveseat. That is what we did last night-- sat on the old loveseat while we watched TV. Now, this is the typical situation at night. I sit on the left recliner, Gary on the right. Ray sleeps on the middle cushion. Jaida's place is at Gary's feet, Whisky curls up on mine. Last night, Gary and I were squished next to each other and had our feet on a small stool. J climbed on top of him, W was trying to get comfy on my legs, Ray was trying to find her place in between us. Gary then went to sit on the recliner chair, and J went and slept on his chest. Ray took over Gary's spot on the loveseat. W was still trying to get comfy on me. I *finally* got her settled when Cait comes running down the stairs yelling about something ridiculous and W jumps off of me and runs to her.
:gaah: Worse than waking a sleeping baby- because a baby isn't a wiggling 48 lb mess. hahahahaha!!
Cait goes back upstairs, it takes me another 20 minutes to resettle W when Cait comes down again. OMG, that girl and her drama!!! *slaps forehead* At least this time she was quiet and understood why I was shooting daggers at her from my eyes.

Today, I have a list of things to work on, mainly finishing up the gifts I made yesterday and getting ready for food shopping tomorrow. I need to figure out what food I am making for Xmas Day. Oh! And the food gifts I am making for my dad... *adds cucumbers to the list*
If I can squeeze out an hour or so, I would like to make another batch of cookies.

busy day, but it feels good to be getting things done. oh and yeah, the new sofa comes today!

xoxoxo!

Nancy- I will have to look into the Starz app. $5 for 3 months is doable, but then I will get sucked into it and not be able to pay past that...
It will have to get picked up by Netflix or Hulu someday right? *fingers crossed*
What is going on with your team? I hope that they get it together asap. Your LOs have been fantastic. I didn't realize that your DS had so much ink! Nice!

Did any of you read the Discovery of Witches series? That is on a British channel but I know that I would love to watch if it ever broadcasts here.
Trudy- I hope that your Gary pulls through on your stocking ideas. My Gary has been in the workshop a lot so I am wondering if he is perhaps making me something? :noidea:
Good for you painting something for yourself-- feels great, doesn't it?
I don't know how anyone could give up carbs, but since you look and feel so much better now, I understand and respect that so much.

Stacey- Dory is such a pretty girl! That one of her sleeping was precious! She looks very smart too. I hope it is working out well.

Rae- bet you and Taz were happy to get out for a job. That is so sweet of B to want to get her mom a scarf, were you able to find one? The town where I grew up/lived until we moved up here is like that too-- three major highways all in walking distance, the mall was 5 minutes from me and traffic was always a nightmare. I hope that it wasn't too bad this weekend, but I would imagine next weekend is going to be much worse.
Thanks for the compliments on my projects! This is the first time I feel really happy with the outcomes. That makes it hard b/c now next year I have to do even better :drama:

Kay- yuck-- spoiled milk is dis-gust-ing! I hope that you didn't do what I always do- stick my nose right into the jug to check.
Hope the rest of your day was great!

I am off to the gallery as soon as I post this-- HAGD!!!

Morning ladies... I am up waaaayyy too early 3:30 am when I got out of bed and decided to waste some time on Pinterest before heading here. Not sure if I will make it back to bed or not :mmph: I am so wide awake I think I am up for the day. Will probably crash and burn right after supper. Got lots done yesterday! DH got my project cut out and I already have the base coating done on it. Hope to put the second coat on today. I am running out to the grocery store to pick up a few items and other than that I hope to just stay home and work on this and that. I am happy that my last parcel that I sent out East arrived yesterday and so now I can breathe a sigh of relief and can officially say that I am done with gifts for Christmas! :bliss: My house is clean and :washing: is done, so perhaps I will even have time to watch a Christmas Movie at some point today.

Chris - Wow you have gotten so much accomplished and another busy day ahead for you! How funny about everyone trying to get settled on the loveseat and recliners :pound: You will be glad to have your new couch for everyone to snuggle up on. Yup I always stress over what I will make for Christmas meals, but in your house it must be even more stressful when everyone likes something different and you don't like turkey!! I would be pulling my hair out trying to please everyone's palette!! You are amazing for doing all that you do!! :hail:

Zanthia - Awww your Dory is a real cutie!! I hope that she is adjusting to her new life with you! I was looking at all the Designers you create for... My goodness how to you keep up with all of that?? LOL.

Rae - It is nice to hear that you have had a bit of quiet time to read and get out for a jog with Taz! Now the rain has hit us and it sounds like it will be crappy weather for a while! The traffic here is very busy now too, I can't imagine what it must be like where you are. I think of my son and his family trying to get around in Toronto and just cringe!! They are now spending time in Cuba, so I bet they are happy to be away from the hustle and bustle! Hope you found a nice scarf for B to give to her Mom!

Kay - Sounds like it is time for you to hit the grocery store! Yuck on the sour milk!! Hope you found something yummy for your supper! Glad to hear that you are having fun with the challenges and trying something new! Hope you have a nice day today!

I guess it will be time to get my DH some breakfast seeing as how I am up anyway. He wil be happy to not have to have a bowl of cereal this morning. Then I guess I will either try to go back to bed or just stay up and get some things done :noidea: I hope you all have a lovely Monday and I hope that your weather is better then what we are getting today.

Good afternoon girls,
we have snow Horay!!! The world is so pretty and actually it isn't so cold, so I was hoping on short dog walk, but we was forced to come back quick, because streets are very icy and cleaning is not coming to our area yet, so maybe tomorrow. I have free day, so think to continue with the hot chocolate and TV. I'm backward with few local TV series. Oh by the way, the guy I supported at the reality shows won yesterday so I'm thrilled about that.

Chris, for us 24th is even more important, so yes Seven more days! WOW you are finished so much work and sounds like all projects are turn excellent. Please post the bottles and I'll post my dogs as elves! Yes, of course Biggie is who made me so upset. I know he react this way when we force him to sleep inside, but still it hurt my feelings when act like stranger. I'm so jealous about the picture you paint us, with the couple and their pets all together! You are an lucky girl! I mean my family love my pets as far as they live in their own house.
We have traditional Xmas Day diner, so it's same every year but at least we don't wonder. This year even we decided to do only few of them, because previous had many leftovers. I'm made page of that previous year: bean, lentils, stuffed peppers, two king of roll cabbage and vine, and also sweet things. The new sofa comes today!? I was thought this is for the after holidays?

Trudy, you are start your day so effort so I'll hope this will allows you cozy afternoon and why not nap. L O L I understand you so good about dropping hints about your gift, I hope you'll receive exactly what you want! Oh, yeas, please show us this Santa dummy board when it's finished!!! I'm so curious to see it. I think it's even more special when give to Gary small part in it's making instead to risk to cut it yourself.

Nancy, sounds as a great plan to watch the new Outlander! Oh great news about me, one of the TV channels in my regular paket will shows the third season of Riverdale next year, so I'll be able to watch it without to have ask my friend for favor again.
Aww drones to play with the dog and cat sounds just awesome. I bet cats will love it! Can imagine mines to try catch and destroyed it! Did Shadow liked it?! Is it noisy when fly? This could be a little upset for dogs.

Zanthia, your Dory is such a handsome! Fingers crossed that you'll be able to keep it!

Rae, I think you would like this reality shows too. It's not only farm daylife, but also history and competitioning games. My mom watch Big Brothers, but here is only a celebrity edition called Vip Brother and they gives them much alcohol with less food, so to keep them nervous and it's mostly with scandals and intrigues. This with the bet for dinner is actually so clever and sounds as a such of fun!
I'm sure you'll find excellent scarf for gift, as usual. And yes, traphik is bonkers at this time of the year. I'm so grateful that now we are able to shop online, so have to care personal only for grocery! But in every other time of the years it's sounds so cool to live so close to the mall! Is it have a cinema in it to? The only things I miss from the living in city are the cinema and theaters!

Kay, to find milk sour and no bread, sounds much like me. My family often grumble on me to keep update the shopping list: roll:. I can see why you prefer to skip reading of love stories right now. Do you like a science fiction books? And here are some very good war stories too, personally I like to learn how people are living during the wars, it's kind of sobering about how easy is our life now.

Jean  !

Have a lovely Monday, my dears! :cof3:

Slept in again this morning... didn't wake up until 7AM! Maybe my body is learning it is okay to sleep a bit later. LOL Trying to decide whether to go to the base [meds and grocery shopping] today or wait until tomorrow when DD#1 said she could go with me. Weather is going to be a bit 'iffy' then.

I hear you all about traffic and crowds... I went to Best Buy yesterday and got PSE2019 (with DVD) while it was still on sale. The parking lot was FULL and long lines at all the front checkout registers. Since I was buying a computer item, I was able to check out in that department with no waiting!!! Decided I didn't want to fight the crowds so came on home without stopping to get milk. Figured I could live without it for another day. And, yes... Chris... I did stick my nose into the jug to check if the milk was bad... it was and my nose wasn't happy with me! On the good news, I did find a loaf of bread stuck in the freezer yesterday [back in the back - not in the door where I like to store them] so I was able to fix a turkey sandwich for supper last night.

Chris, I can't believe what all you have been able to do in such a short time! Your gift baskets and other things sound so wonderful! Had to LOL over the vision of the crowded love seat. Know you will be so happy with the new sofa so there is enough room for all of you.

Felis, you popped in while I am still getting this post typed. Glad you got some snow since you wanted it but sorry that it is too icy to take the dog for a walk. Maybe it will be better tomorrow. Like the list of what your family has for the holiday dinner. I love cabbage rolls and my granddaughter always ask if there is enough for her to take home for her lunches at work. Yes, I read all types of books including Science Fiction, mystery, suspense, historical... etc... LOL I started reading "Year One" by Nora Roberts - the first in a new series from her. Have the 2nd book on reserve at the library and it should be available next week - so want to finish the first one before starting the 2nd.

Trudy, that is way too early to be awake... maybe you can take a nap later on. Bet it is hard not to peek at what Gary is working on in the shop. :eyebrows:

Yes, Stacey has always amazed me at all the designers she works with. And all her pages are wonderful!!! So glad you now have a new 'model', Stacey. Always loved seeing Cooper in his various costumes.

Time for me to get dressed and decide what I am going to do today. Hope everyone has a good day and week.

Good morning, ladies. Had a good sleep and my work schedule isn't too crazy this morning. Off to a good start! D is happy to start his 2 wk holiday today. He'll pop out for coffee with the guys from work later and do some Xmas shopping. He's had fun playing around with different kodi builds (android box) and will probably be doing that this afternoon. It'll keep him out of my hair so i can work. Since he's home, he can come to the mtg tomorrow morning for B. I had forgotten he'd be on holidays so would be available to come with J and I. That will be good for J, to have both of us there. She's really nervous about what their plan is and how good or bad it might be for B.

Never did get any baking or wrapping done yesterday. Was able to finish up my Xmas shopping, got a scarft for B to give to Jen, and then D and I watched the last 4 episodes of Good Doctor so we're all caught up now.

Chris - enjoy the new couch. Our Xmas is a 2 day event too, especially this year as Xmas Eve will be our big dinner which will be the first time we've ever done that, so Xmas day can be leftovers brought up to B. That's too funny about the seating arrangements for everyone and then C disrupting it all LOL.

Trudy - how relieved you must feel to know all your parcels arrived in plenty of time. I always used to stress about that when I had to send stuff back East at Xmas time. Enjoy your day, sounds like your project is coming along nicely. Can't wait to see a pic of it.

Felis - yay for getting snow, I know how that makes you happy :) I laughed when reading about your BB that your mom watches. Our show also gives them lots of alcohol to spice up the drama with their personalities.

Kay - how great to not wait in a long line to get PSE. Thx for mentioning NR Book One as I'd forgotten to check our digi library to get a reserve going for it. I had checked awhile back and they didn't have it yet. I just checked now and was able to put a hold on it. Looks like it'll be at least a month or more I get it but that's ok, as long as I get it eventually. I loved the first story and can't wait for this next one.

I'm going to get to work now. Have a great day, everyone.

good afternoon ladies

Its not looking to good that we will keep Dory. Tomorrow a decision has to be made. yesterday decided to go to a store for about an hour - put her in the crate and she busted out. never went. it is definitely separation anxiety not crate anxiety. while we knew about that, the barking is really bad. being in an apt complex there are a lot of sounds and many of them i cant hear but i see she perks up and barks and go crazy trying to find out where it is coming from. i closed the blinds on the windows but she still pokes her head thru to look when she hears something. its one thing looking out the window and barking when you see another dog but her reaction is beyond normal. Her biting has gotten much worse. our guess is that it may be caused by that she does not have a dog to play with as we cannot let her be in contact with other dogs. in her foster home she lived with a golden who she played with. last but not least i was told she was not destructive except to dog toys. this has not been true. She nearly destroyed my headphones. I was very upset about this but it seems they still work ( but they are very beat up - hubby put foam back into the ear pads) as it would cost about $100 to replace. She chewed up an old pair of shoes that was under the bed- didnt care about the shoes but thats not the point. Just too many serious behavioral issues that are very difficult to treat.

trudy - my designer list is not up to date . while i still ct for a lot, 3 of them not even sure i should list as they have not put out anything new in a year yet still sell at a store. If i wasnt such a slow scrapper i could do a lot more

kay - yuck on sour milk - the smell is awful. Glad you didnt have to wait in line for pse19 . thanks for the kind words about my pages - love yours too . Dont think i will ever have anther dog as photographic as cooper . I bet a professional pet photographer would have loved to have shot him.

felis - snow is so pretty , and most dogs jsut love to play in it

speaking of snow, have some photos o f cooper in the snow that were never scrapped from jan 2017 - think i am going to use that for annas scraplift challenge
