Happy New Day and New Week!!!!
Do any of you remember the movie Spirit? That song Spirit - Here I Am-- It's a new day, a new start.....
Love that song!! The whole soundtrack is fab if you have never heard it. The movie makes me cry and cry, but in a good way.

So Happy Monday! I am continuing my plans to keep finding the good, and sharing the joy. Its a much, much better place for my head to be

I have a busy week ahead too, baby sitting/bus stop runs every day, 2 drs appts (one for me, one with Gary), 3 cleaning jobs, plus my house too. But my gift baskets are done! Only one more cookie to bake, and just a few more (less than 10!) gifts to wrap. I am in the homestretch!! I can do this!!!

Who good and fun things are in your plans for today?
Did you see that Jen had her baby! I saw some pics on FB and my goodness, he is beautiful!

Did you get any better sleep last night, Laurie?? I hope so! Hope you were able toget some photos scanned, I love doing that, but yes, digi- is so much easier!!

Nancy- babies always make things better! Is there any hope for any hockey this season?

Linda S- good for your kids to be so good at sports. And good for you to encourage them so much. You rock!!

Can your dad adopt me too, Nana? LOL Sounds like a wonderful fam tradition. And your dad sounds amazing, as does your mom. Its no wonder that you are amazing as well! My dad is the same way-- not outwardly vocal-- In fact, I *think* he said I love you once to me as I was hanging up the telephone. I sat there, staring at the phone, thinking, did I hear that right?? But I don't doubt for a minute that he loves me and his g-kids all very much.
I hope the rest of your day was great!

Trudy- that party sounds like a lot more fun then the last one you went to.

Has anyone heard from P? I just stalked her profile and she hasn't had a post since Friday. She was having those weird migraines, so I hope that she is feeling better today and that is all that it is.

Good morning ladies. Short work week here. Yipee!!!

And they moved our desks at work so I need to go in and unpack all of that. Like this spot much better than the last one. It's on the first floor near the door that takes me down to my parking spot so that's always a big plus! Promised my team that I would bring a treat so I made cake balls yesterday and they turned out great. White cake with strawberry frosting for the cake ball, then dipped in white chocolate with red and green pareils (sp?).

Brian is only working half a day so he will be home to take Shaun to bball practice and I can take Syd. Another easy Monday! WooHoo!

Phylis, where are you?

And my dad was never one to say I love you either. Never once doubted it from his actions however. But, when Mom got sick, he became much more vocal. Whenever we say goodbye now, he tells me that he loves me.

Morning O fam - please feel better Phylis. I started wrapping presents yesterday in the basement with few windows- none in the room I was using and the power went off. So I brought down my LED lantern and continued. The best part of wrapping was taking photos of 15 horse ornaments that were gifts from years gone by from my brother and sister that are horse people, then wrapping them, and putting all the gifts in a box to take to work to give to a girl who loves horses for her tree. She is not a patient, but comes in with one. I asked her two weeks ago and last week she wondered if I brought them. I told her just because she was so anxious, I would have to wrap and tape them all and maybe box in box just so she would have to work for them. Her mother said- she loves duct tape. I did not use duct tape!

So my workout is done, I am ready to shower and get on with the day. I kind of stalled on baking yesterday, but that does happen. I will get back at it later this week. Did I tell you that this week on my day off I am heading to an Amish wedding reception. It is a different group than I usually attend, so MMG has to find out expectations for the English before we go. Alright O peeps- have a happy one, pleasant thoughts and try to stay away from watching/listening to news all day! Easy for me- I never spend time in the "gym" at work and will be too busy otherwise.

Morning ladies... Its :smow: here today, wet, heavy, hard to shovel :smow: Yuk!! Guess MG and I will be heading out to work together today, he does not have snow tires on his truck yet, so I blame him for all of this white stuff LOL. Yesterday I was getting my post ready for the Haps and accidentally deleted the whole post!!! :doh: I feel like such a loser!! But Mama "O" assured me that I would not be publicly flogged for my silly error!! LOL Sorry again everyone that already had there post on there!! :sorry: Oh well chalk it up as a lesson learned!

Chris - Good luck with your dr appts today! I really love your attitude for seeing the good in everything!! We should all be that way! Sounds like you are heading into the home stretch for your Christmas Chaos! Me too just a couple of stocking stuffers left to get, then I am ready for the big day. How exciting that Jen had her baby, did you see it on her facebook page or was it posted here at the "O"?

LindaS - Don't you just love short work weeks!! I only have three days this week too and one of them is only 4hrs! Love it!!

Laurie - What a nice thing to do, giving all those horse ornaments away!! I bet she will be thrilled with them! You are full of Spirit of Christmas, how wonderful!! I too have stalled with the baking this year! I figure if I make it then I will eat most of it and really don't need to do that!!

Phylis - We miss you!!! Hope that you are ok!! :hug:

Good morning I watched my NY Giants lose and lose badly. And Chris I am not hopeful that the NHL will be back this year. Scary how entrenched each side is. I am really beginning to belief that when you put men with opposing views in a room they compete they do not negotiate. They feel if they give in they will be seen as a loser. Women need to be in charge.

It is cloudy and rainy again in NJ and I would really like to see some sunshine. Tonight though I am out to dinner with my BFF and there is going to be carolers and a collection for toys for tots. I love Christmas carols so this such be a wonderful way to have dinner with friends.

Laurie - I have signed up for pintrest but dont really use it. I did look and it was fun and I can see that if I stay too long I will be hooked.

hi, guys! i'm here, but only for a minute. i'm trying to give my eyes a rest and so am staying away from the computer, except for a few minutes at a time. thanks for thinking about me! hopefully i will ease myself back into Real Life eventually. i stepped down from Anna's CT because of the eyes/computer thing. hopefully i'll make a page again at some point! depends of my creative muse decides to hang around throughout this thing!

Oh Phylis, sorry to hear this! I had migraines when I was younger. If these are really impacting your life, you might want to check it out with a doctor. Perhaps they can give you something!
