The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Good morning, O-Zies.
It's been a gutting few days of news where it is inescapable even when you are trying to avoid it.
If anyone is interested, I started a Thread of beauty and peacefulness. I would love to see anything that makes you happy to counterbalance all of the heaviness and sadness.

How was your Sunday? Mine was non-stop busy but I think I got another decent chunk off of my to-do list. I opened all of the packages and bags of gifts and organized them by person. I'm not super happy with the "haul" this year, but no one wanted all that much this year. I should be happy, less expense for me. Other than being really light on stocking stuffers, all of the kids have 5 gifts-- 3 from Santa, 2 from Gary and me.
I'll poke around TJ Maxx this morning to see if I can get a couple of smaller things for stockings but I'm not leaving town. It's too cold and I am too tired. Crap, I still have baking and all of the wrapping to do. Forget about cleaning, I cleaned here last month! :mopping:

I wasn't expecting to spend an hour shoveling snow and cleaning off the cars yesterday- we got about 6", way more than forecast. I feel like we already got close to the same amount of snow this season as we had last year.
I am pretty much finished with the Soltice Plans but now it looks like I am going to have to redo the one for this Friday. Between the snow/ice this weekend, and then the rain/snow in the forecast for Friday, it looks like nothing I have planned so far will be doable.

Sooo yup! I have another jam-packed day here. Meal planning and finishing my grocery order. Christmas shopping (iiiicccckkk). Working on Friday's lesson. Maybe start wrapping gifts? Most definitely: try to stay warm. 17* and Real Feal of -2*
:thud:

I got this :D

There have been many times that I have written something on a "to do" list in order to give myself credit for something accomplished.:coffeescreen:Writing that down sounds a little crazy but I am mostly happy with my crazy!
And I told you that Scott would be so proud of what you had done! Extremely cool moment!
I am doing that today-- for sure!!!

Yes...we don't get this kind of snow in November and December. And frankly, I don't need it this soon!
Me neither! I thought of you yesterday as I was shoveling. I realized how terrified I was about slipping and falling. It didn't help that the foot that I broke was definitely stiff and sore with the cold weather, just reminding me what could happen if I did.
Age smacking me in the face...
I love this. You just planted an idea in my head! I've been trying to think of meaningful things to do with the kids. Wavy and I have been talking about why the sun is in a different spot each morning and how it has to do with the way the earth moves. I can actually steal a bunch of your stuff!
Here is the link to the game I used:
Last nights party was so much fun. Fabulous food, some great wine, fun games, secret Santa surprises and lots of friends laughing. We walked over to our friends house and back last night almost midnight. My knee and foot where hurting so I looked only to find the it quite swollen. I didn't do anything that I can remember. Last night in bed the swelling didn't really go down so I am in the recliner with my feet elevated. This worries me a little.

Sounds like you overdid it, says the woman who always overdoes it. I'm sure that @AK_Tracy can confirm :p
How is the swelling today?
Here's a pic of our gang. I have made some great friends here in our little town.
What a fun group of people! I loved the Snata and puppy pic you shared on FB too. Lots of awesome scrap material.
I opted to do scrapbooking instead of laundry today!
Good choice!!! I'm going to have to check out Giggletown.

Time to get my day going. *groans* Its sooo cold!! I don't want to move! :bawling: :brrr:

Hugs!!

I got this :D
I didn't check the real feel but our temp was 14 at 8 when I got up!
I did check out your thread of beauty, but I don't watch the news and don't know Hollywood names, so it didn't mean anything to me, BUT.....how horrible. People can be so stinking cruel! I wish everyone would just love one another, but it is never going to happen....not as long as the devil is the "prince and power of the air".

Good Morning,
Need to get dressed and take the deposit to the bank but it is so cold, I don't even want to go outside! 14 degrees when I got up at 8. Now it is 17 with a real feel of 12! YIKES! At least we didn't get any snow @faerywings !
Nothing on the docket today except laundry. I may wait to see if Mark wants to do lunch before I attempt to go out! Then I'll do the deposit while I'm out.
I'm moving slowly today as somehow I tweaked my back yesterday morning. I don't even know how I did it, but by the time I got to church I was hurting on my left side above my hip. I hate this getting old stuff! I think I need to get a full-body TENS thingy! ;)
Have a good day!

It is 54 and windy here in Florida, 13 in CT where our kids live and 9 in Upstate NY where our son is building his retirement home...still wonder why he wants to retire in the cold.

@faerywings sounds like you are making great Christmas progress. How is your dog doing in all that snow? We moved to Florida because we were afraid to fall in the snow or ice. I feel your falling fears. FYI. I kept my leg up most of tomorrow so the swelling is down alot. I'll go post to your thread once I formulate my thoughts.

@vickyday Brrr I hope you can stay warm.

Have a great day everyone

Good morning. It is cookie baking day with the littles. We are doing it at my niece's house (the one with the 3 boys). I was supposed to pick up my great-niece but she and the twins were up all night with a stomach virus. It will be a fun day though. I have some real cookies to bake and some cookies that the kids can do mostly on their own (Nutter Butter reindeers, Cornflake wreaths). And one of my other nieces is talking about taking the day off of work and joining us. So it will be good to get some family time. :xmas7: :wardrobehide::crazy: Then on Wednesday after doing school drop off, Brian and I will head to Minneapolis to start packing Sydney! Of course, at some point I need to think about gifts (I have a few) and wrapping and all of that.

Brian did buy me the coolest present...and already gave it to me. After the cataract surgery, my distance viewing is great. But I need the cheaters to read. Well, driving and cooking require both. I have a follow up with the eye doctor and told Brian I need to get glasses that can stay on my face. I've worn glasses for years and I don't mind them. Brian found some on Amazon that are like progressive lenses but with no correction for distance, just for the close up stuff. That was what I wanted from the eye doctor and even cheap ones would have been probably $300-$400. Brian found these for $15 and they work perfectly. Happy dance.:yesss::cloud9:

Follow me for more wonderful life hacks... And thanks for the video link. I'm going to watch it later today. I'm making a folder with notes.

That's even colder than us. And I agree on the getting old thing. It's hard work!

I do hate the worry of falling on the snow or ice. It requires so much energy to constantly be thinking about that. But ours will all be gone this week. And I'm ready!

I will check it out when I get home. I am actually considering Peace as my word for 2026. I don't do that very well and it could use my focus.

Yes, it is.....more hard work than I want to put into it most days, LOL!

Good morning!
:hammock:
Feels hot and balmy here. 23°F here and the winds are howling again. Its crazy as can be when I am warmer then most of you. @BoatLady Debby is still warmer than us but not by much.

Sounds like you overdid it, says the woman who always overdoes it. I'm sure that @AK_Tracy can confirm :p
Yep, confirmation that Chris over does it all the time :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
Need to get dressed
Great place to start. Dont wanna scare everyone by running around nude :giggle4::giggle4:

Today is Monday. Yep. Huh. House cleaning. Yep need to do this. Yep, day started way wrong for me. Loud, crazy, loud. High energy. I'm zapped after an hour. Can I please go back to bed???
:coffee1::coffeedrinker::coffeedrinker::coffee1:
Not much happening today other then cleaning and laundry. I feel overwhelmed and lost as far as Christmas decorating and cleaning and baking. Hopefully this afternoon we will get started on the decorating. Just feeling lost and spinning circles.
Off to find my sanity.
