CHEERY O
Waaaaaaaaaaaah! Its the last full week in August!!! Summer, don't goooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(If I hug my calendar hard enough, do you think I could stop time? Or does anyone have a Time Lord to spare, who could help me out? No? Drat!)

embrace my inner-Sally and say :whoo: Its Monday!!!!

I am off to MIL's to work today. Then I have to head home quickly so I can get my hair cut. My hair dresser is coming to start Cait, then when I get home she is going to throw some foils in and cut my hair too. My mom suggested I might not look so drawn (read: old and tired) if I got a few inches cut off. I was leaning towards that, maybe a lot more layers and bangs..... until I asked Cait and she said not to do it. So now I don't know what to do. As long as I can scrape it off my face for when I work, I guess it doesn't really matter, does it? :D

hahahahah!! I just scared the crap out of myself. I was hearing some weird noise in my back yard so I got up to peek out of the window and saw someone out there. I jumped and then realized it was my reflection. I am suck a dork!!!!

Did everyone have a great weekend? Lots of people and kids (yeah, I know kids *are* people too, they just make a lot more noise...) in and out. I got some really cute pics of my sweetie (godson) and I even tried to get a pic or two of my kids with their boyfriend/girlfriend. What is it about teens actually smiling normally for cameras?

Oh I actually have one more question I want to ask you Wise Women. I know we have talked a bit about the dreaded M Word (menopause). Do any of you know of herbal supplements that might help with that? I have been taking a super-B complex that helps slightly with mood, but is there anything else to try? And what about the need to pee several times a night?? Besides never drinking after 6pm, what else is there to do?

Thanks for any help my lOvlies!

me me Monday- getting some blond back in my hair yay!!!!!!!!!

HelloO ! :)

You crack me up Chris "I know kids *are* people too, they just make a lot more noise..." ... I can so relate to that LOL
Only problem is it's MY kids that tend to make most of the noise, so it's a bit too often for my poor ears and head .... ;)
We did have a great and quite busy weekend !
Scouts related meetings/dinners in the evening to come bakc on the various camps held for the different age groups, discuss what went well, what went "less-well", how we can improve etc... this all ended up quite late at night so there was not that much sleep over the week-end

we also went hiking and sight seeing with DH's brother, sister in law, niece and the niece's british fiancé. It was fun, and as it had rained thep revious night, the sky was all clear and we had a wonderful view of the sea and surrounding mountains.

today the boss is back, but he seems to have forgotten I exist, so I'm trying to be very quiet for the moment ;)

hugs to you all, have a great week :)

Chris, one thing i know is--please STAY AWAY from Black Cohosh. my SIL had breast cancer a few years ago, and she was taking Black Cohosh for hot flashes. her cancer doctor told her that that could have conributed to the cancer because anything that messes with estrogen or is an estrogen substitue (read "natural"...beware of SOY, too) can contribute to estrogen-receptor breast cancer. i don't think i'm using the right "technical" terms, but you know what i mean. i can't imagine that vitamins would be a problem, but this herbal stuff is untested and dangerous.

and pee before you go to bed. every night.
i laughed out loud at you jumping at your reflection, Chris....

Dumpty, a view of the sea and mountains!!?? sounds absolutely perfect! and hope you're able to remain invisible for the rest of the day....:becky:

did some scrapping this a.m. and got the sale post for the Forum ready for Wednesday. i have to grocery shop and run some errands in the neighborhood, then come back for my "conference call" at 3 p.m.with Bloomingdale's, who have charged me TWICE for a gift i purchased from their bridal registry. they don't seem to be able to figure out how to get the charge off my credit card. honestly. never buy anything from Bloomingdale's. EVER!!!! i've never dealt with a more incompetent bunch of boobs in my life.

well, hope everyone starts the week off with a laugh, even if you have to root around to FIND it!

Morning ladies and Happy Monday to you all. The best thing about Monday is that the next day is Tuesday and that's my day off all to myself!! Are you sick of me saying that yet??

Chris - I used to take a Sage pill for my hot flashes, got them at the health food store and they worked wonderfully for quite a while, but then sadly after about a year or so they no longer did the trick. Now I don't take anything and the hot flashes have subsided quite a bit but are still there. As for the peeing at night, not much you can do about that except don't drink anything before bed and make sure you pee before you hit the pillow at night. Glad to hear that you are getting some color back into your hair, its always a great pick-me-up!! I vote that you go a bit shorter with your hair and some layers might be fun!! A change is as good as a rest I always say :becky:

Marie - Sounds like the perfect hiking trip you had this weekend! I love to hike with my DH and the views that you had sound just wonderful! Hope your boss leaves you alone today!! Keeping my fingers crossed that mine stays in his office all day today too!

Phylis - Good luck with your call in to Bloomingdale's !! Sounds like a bunch of Buffoons to me !! How hard can it be to put a credit back onto your card?? :loco:
Hope you get all of errands done and have a great afternoon!!

Well gotta get some breakfast for MG and myself, lucky him he gets to stay home all day and have the day to himself, my turn tomorrow, but you already know that. :becky: Have a super day everyone

Oh Chris ... Good grief menopause!!!!!!!! ICK!!! A while back my oldest sister (she's 17 years older than me) was scaring the crap out of me and my other sister about menopause!!!!!!! Oh my lands the stuff she was saying and WE DISNT ASK HER TI GIVE US *the talk*!!!!!!!!!!!! I pee all night long too but for other reasons lol I don't wanna do menopause I DO NOT!!!!!!!!!! HUGS FOR THAT THOUGH!!!

My kids have already invaded my pc this morning so that leaves me trying to write this on my iPhone that inserts words that don't belong for me... Grrrrrrrrr so if you see silly words an stuff just ignore it

Wow so yourself scared the crap out of you hey? ROTFLMAO THAT MADE MY MORNING TO READ HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAA LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

No Soy? Ugh. I too am reluctant about herbs and estrogen, but I thought soy was sacred. And, I also have an older sister that loves to tell me all the icky symptoms. What is it about older sisters that makes them think they have to share?! My symptoms are bad enough thank you.

well, i seemed to have lucked out with menopause, TG. i think it's because i've had so many surgeries down there since i was 27 years old that my ovaries started pooping out gradually from that point onward, so i did menopause in tiny increments for 35 years! :cheer2:

Good Morning! I was looking for the post YESTERDAY...but it wasn't up by the time I had to head out on ds's playdate, which ended up going until bedtime when they told us to STAY for dinner, we're throwing stuff on the BBQ (they are renovating their kitchen). Kids loved it, but it was a LONG day!

Anyhow, it's Tuesday now, so I'll keep an eye out for the new thread, but wanted to say hi here first because on Sunday? On sunday I finally BEAT THE PATTERN and managed to finish dd's first-day-of-school dress, and it was giving me serious fits. I took it out about five times and had to re-cut the sleeves twice and the whole bodice once. DARN good thing I ended up buying extra fabric! :D

However, having finished that, i could cross off the final MUST DO from my list for her first day of school, which is a BIG BIG BIG deal here. :)

and now I'll stop babbling on and wait for the new daily thread. :)

cheers!

hey, Amber! good to see you here! the time varies for this post. depends on how everyone is sleeping! usually someone has it by about 7 a.m. EST.

the dress sound like a pain, but i'll bet it turned out great! i foresee a page about it coming soon?

not too soon - i did an instagram photo, but the first day of school isn't until mid-september, so it'll be a few weeks before she gets to wear it and I get pictures. although she'd gladly wear it everyday starting immediately...it twirls quite nicely...;)
