*grumbles* What gives?? I have been waking up a million times at night and usually feel wide awake at 4 am. I need my beauty sleep, like hours and hours and hours of it. And it is simply not happening. :crying1:
On top of it, the coffee pot isn't brewing right and I don't think I am getting enough caffeine. Or maybe the Caffeine to Exhaustion Ratio is way off? All I know is that considering how busy I have been, I should be sleeping like a rock.

Well. Enough complaining by me. I'm fine, things are moving along. I spent 3 hours cleaning the backyard for the rehearsal. I dusted and vacuumed and mopped. :giggle4:
Actually, I raked, weeded, and put all of the broken twigs and branches into buckets by the firepit. I measured out the 30' we need for the "aisle" so we know where everyone will be standing. Now I wait to see what the weather will be like- if it rains there is nowhere inside my house that is 30" for Caitlyn to walk. So- *fingers crossed*

On to new wedding updates--nothing like switching things up at the last minute-- but Sam and Jen are now "official" as opposed to honorary bridesmaids. Tom has 2 best men. Caitlyn ordered a new bouquet for herself and is using the one she has to make smaller bouquets for Sam and Jen.
I wish I could remember if my wedding planning was kooky too. If it was I blocked it out, and rightly so. :lalala:

I have another huge to-do list today and hope I can keep my eyes open for it all.

How are you doing today? Everything going well? Hope so!! xoxo

BTW- I still have no idea what it was that I desperately needed to find a piece of paper to write down so I wouldn't forget. :/

@BrightEyes That's a bummer about the printer ink bottles, glad that you can give them to DD#3. I looked at the Ecotank printers a while ago- I love the idea. Maybe the next time I need a printer I'll look more closely. (*fingers crossed it is not for a long long time*)
That must have been a relief when you found the kit you wanted to use in your Trash.

Add grapes they are supposed to keep this fizz going because of something on the outside of the grape. I'd do a test first..that would be a fun afternoon!!!! Make them in the morning have friends over for lunch and sample your experiment.

@faerywings Our trailer has the same mattress as our house so it;s very comfortable...the bathroom is closer at home so that will be nice for my midnight relief but I love to wake up to the slider over looking the pond!!!
Interesting to know about the grapes! I mentioned it to DD and she said that we aren't supposed to bring in any outside food or drinks. Boo.
The trailer must be gorgeous but a full-size and close-by bathroom will be awesome to have again. Safe trip as you head back home!

I was snickering over your plans to sneak some champagne into the reception. I can just see a bottle spewing bubbles and wine into the air as you tried to open one under the table!!!
For real!! You know that is exactly what would happen! :rotfl:
David said he thought it should be made with eggplant, so I think that would work.
Thanks! I love eggplants so much so I am going to have to that recipe out soon!

@bcgal00 I am so happy that Remi is doing better all around and the probiotic is helping. You must be so grateful for sleeping better too.
LOL-ing at your description of Remi's expressions, I can see that clearly in my mind and can imagine her mind working like little gears clicking and turning. :D
The wedding is on Sept. 13. 18 days-- so the week before your trip.

@taxed4ever I hope your Gary isn't getting sick with him sleeping so late. He never does that! How was wine bottling? DId you guys listen to the Eagles?
We are also going over to Vancouver to a ELO concert on Wednesday and looking forward to getting away for a night. Staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel and enjoying the gorgeous view from our hotel room
That sounds amazing and romantic! :cloud9:

@AK_Tracy and @JeanneMN That many people in one place makes me feel more than a little queasy.
BTW, Caitlyn calls Pigeon, one of her rats, Piggy. I call her Pidge, cuz she isn't a piggy. :p
LOOK AT THAT FACE! She is adorable!
Give your all of the piggies belly rubs from me!

@Cherylndesigns I'm telling ya-- if I ever make it out to OK to visit you, I can stay in the doghouse and be very happy, especially if I share it with the doggos.
Ava is wearing a mask or keeping the place ventilated well while she is working, right? Tell her Aunt Chris said to do that. ;)
I wonder if it is something in the air again with RLS. Gary tried to come to bed three times last week and only lasted an hour before the had to go back to the sofa. I hope that you get the supplement soon.
What is K2/D3? I know the D3 part but what does the K2 help with?

@vickyday I typed the acronym wrong - I mean B&BW - that is one of Cait's favorite stores so I should know better heh.
Poor Asher, I hope that the accidents are just a phase.
You were busy non-stop yesterday so I sure hope you slept well.

@AK_Tracy If I could give you a million spoons I would. You know it...
I know you know all of this but take each minute/hour/day with deep breaths and realistic expectations. Know that whatever you do and however you do it is OK. It does NOT have to be perfect. And mentally preparing for the week is good *as long as* it is not consuming so much energy that you are losing even more spoons. You got this. Deep breaths-- You do!!

I'll put this away since I'm surely preaching to the choir :hug3:
:soapbox:

:hug4: to you all!

Morning everyone, it is dull and grey outside today, not sure what is on the agenda for the day. I am sure that my DH will find something for us to keep busy with :giggle4: . I started a layout yesterday afternoon and need to finish it off and get that posted today. Oh and we now know that FIL and MIL have Covid!! I took some tests over to them yesterday as per SIL's request and MIL is very sick! I did not go inside, but SIL was masked up and made them take the tests. :rollingpin1:we better not get Covid!!! We have a concert to go to!! FIL bald faced lied to SIL Linda when she picked him up to take him to the eye dr. Told her he wasn't sick, now he has probably infected her and everyone at the eye dr. plus they were at the Chemainus Theatre for lunch and a show with friends, Linda drove them to that too, so how many others did they infect!! Poor Linda is immune compromised and they both know it. WTH!! Ok enough ranting :rantonoff: from me. Guess we will keep our fingers crossed that we do not get sick too!

Sorry you are not sleeping well, you would think that with all you have been doing you would get a great nights sleep!! Have you tried Melatonin? I am sure you probably have. DH and I started taking it a few weeks ago and it sure has been helping my Gary, guess that is why he slept so late the other morning. It is hit and miss for me, I seem to be sleeping a deeper sleep, but still wake up a couple of times a night, so hopefully it will work better for me the more I take it. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that the weather cooperates for your rehearsal, wow the big day is coming up fast now isn't it!!

Ok I need to go back and see what else is happening around the O! I hope you all have a wonderful day and please keep your fingers and toes crossed that my DH and I do not get sick!! :waving3:

Good morning... it is raining!!! Not hard but a nice gentle rain. Another day to have the house opened up. The rain should taper off soon. I will be heading out to buy the printer ink. Hope I can find it in stock - but if not, it will only take a day or two to get it delivered.

Yesterday, I ended up working on the wedding albums after all. Decided that I could go ahead and sort through the photos (each wedding at a time) and put them into the photo sleeves. And I laid out the photos that will go on each cardstock page. I have to wait to get the printer ink so I can print out the photo frames for them... I did a trail run on scraps of cardstock for stamping sayings on DD#2's. Wow... the deep turquoise ink shows up great on it! If I have to wait on getting the ink, I will go ahead and pull the photos from DD#1's non-acid free album and decide which photo to use for the special pages and put the rest into photo sleeves. Then will be a matter of finding the photos from their Renewal of Vows (25th anniversary) and their 40th anniversary.

I also worked on CT LOs...and finished 3 of them!!! The creative juices were flowing so well!!! Need to strike while they are hot!!!

Good morning ladies. I'm home today, can do house chores, take Remi on some gentle walks around the neighborhood and get some laundry done.

@faerywings Wedding is just a few days before we leave. I'll be looking for pics :) My fingers (and toes) will be crossed for good weather. I bet the yard is going to look gorgeous!

In less than a week I will no longer be a cheery-o. It's kind of sad but also kind of good as I am moving forward into a new stage of my life. I will still scrap a bit but my computer time is less than half of what it used to be. I am outdoors a lot more and am involved in many social activities. My group of friends here has been increasing and it's been so good for Darrell to be busy with social activities too.

I'll be checking in here and there of course and will never totally disappear, just won't be around as much.

I'm going to shower and get out with Remi. It's a beautiful end of summer morning, a bit of crispness to the air, the sun is shining and there is a gentle breeze. I can't wait to get out and loosen up my back. HAGD everyone.

This..... oh let me get the soap box all set back up and take over for you. I do NOT like when people do that. Its one thing if you dont know you're sick but to knowingly endanger someone who's compromised, who's bent over backwards to help you, that's just ****y.

Sorry, to run and miss Kay and Rae but I realized the clock ran out and I got to run!! Sorry ladies, I will be back tonight after Costco run. HAGD

Yes, the rain stopped before noon. I am back from my errand running. I GOT THE CORRECT INKS... and found them at Sam's Club!!! Also did a quick stop at Dollar Tree and picked up 2 more transparent tapes and 1 double side tape.... Yea!!! :dancing6: Came home and added the inks to the printer ... still have over half a bottle of each left. The inks will keep until it starts running low again. Then I had to run head cleaner 2 times... which did not clear the blue/cyan nozzle. So did a power cleaner (11 minutes) and now all the colors are printing!! dance4 Need to give it about 12 hours then try printing a full color photo to make sure all colors are right. It may take a few trail prints to get it. I will be smart and only print a small photo to begin with... What a relief to have that done.

And... I got another CT LO done before I ran my errands. I would say the creative mojo is still running strong!!! :coffeescreen:

@taxed4ever Omg--I don't understand why people think it's OK not to be honest, esp. with family! I hope everyone pulls through OK.

David had laser surgery on his eye this morning; still trying to get the glaucoma pressure down. We are getting to know his ophthalmologist quite well after a couple years of this. At least this one doesn't require him to bandage it every night and he doesn't seem to be uncomfortable. But because of his diabetes, which he has well balanced for the most part, when he has orders to not eat for 12 hours the fine dance between insulin and food gets out of whack.

I actually finished 2 double page layouts the last 24 hours, from some photos of activities we did with the kids. Since I was tied up with them a good part of August I didn't even try to do the challenges this month, and I do miss the motivation to make a page other than "here's 12 pictures of the grandkids." So I'm looking forward to September.

It's salad for dinner, so off I go to chop some veggies.

Glad your husband's eye surgery went well, Terri. Yes, you get to know your opthomologist well if you go to them long enough. Glad he's not having a lot of discomfort and having to bandage his eye. Good for you for getting a double layout done.

Good Evening,
Been another busy day today, even though most of the time has been being busy on the computer. I've been scanning stuff for FB marketplace, etc.
Got up at 8. It was still 65* so I decided to walk. But by the time I got one mile in, I was beginning to sweat, so I called it quits!
Came back home and started scanning. Mark called and wanted to go to lunch. After lunch I put a chicken and asparagus casserole together. All I have to do is add the dressing on top before baking it.
Spent the rest of the afternoon scanning and listening to an audiobook.
I think I will finish the casserole and bake it.
Tomorrow I will be going to Ilene's and we will probably go out to lunch before we meet her daughters to see the movie, Forged, that is showing at a theater in town. Tomorrow afternoon we have to take the car to the shop to see how bad the oil leak is and how much it will cost to fix it. OY VEY! Pray it is an easy fix!
Have a great evening!

It's pretty fancy. Roger is going to shingle the roof today when he gets home. He never does anything half way. Ava is puttubg epoxy on the floor today and she said the fumes were terrible - still no AC. She told me to stay away. She has one more coat to put on. I told her she needed a hazmat suit on
OMG i hope she's wearing a mask t has ventilation ! Epoxy fumes are nothing to mess with & I got VERY cranky with hubs & DGS working with urethane in a closed garage on a hot day. It was my fault I got sick because one SIL said God decided who would get it the other SIL told my hubs if I didn't want to get sick I should have stayed home. I actually finished 2 double page layouts the last 24 hours, from some photos of activities we did with the kids. Since I was tied up with them a good part of August I didn't even try to do the challenges this month,
I think you have a outstanding reason to not have done challenges and I love pages with lots of photos. your activities with your grands looked like so much fun.

I was going to make a new siggy this afternoon but a squirrel ran thru with Photoshop brushes tied to it's tail & a chicken came after him squawking "play with them " so I puttered with brushes and didn't do a whole lot else LoL.
