Uh oh! Good thing that I double-checked the date. I thought it was the 19th. :oops2:
How was your weekend? It was quiet here, that's for sure. Best get used to it.

Gary and I took the dogs for a hike and holy moly, we booked through it. We did a 3.5-mile loop in a little over an hour. Whisky and I were having a hard time keeping up with Gary and J at one point, but I didn't realize how fast we were moving until we got back in the car and I saw the clock. It was a completely different pace than when I go on my own and a *really* different pace than the Forest Bathing ones. Gary pooped himself out and ended up napping much of the afternoon.
I spent the afternoon outside to do some deadheading. Sad to see a lot of the flowers are done blooming, but I think all of my tomatoes are ripening at the same time. So many are ready to be picked. Scott called last night and they are heading back home and will be here either today or tomorrow. It sounded like they had a fantastic time at the music festival. He always tells the funniest stories about the people there.

My fun plans for the day-- figuring out WTH is up with my grocery order. I started this week's order on Saturday and I usually have until the day before the spot to edit it. It got closed out before I woke up on Sunday. :banghead: I had to place another order and left a comment to merge both orders. This has happened before and it's more a PITB than anything. I am planning on heading to Coloring Crew this afternoon.
I started a scrap page yesterday but my ILs popped in to visit. By the time they left, I had to start dinner so I want to work on that a little more too.

Today, I am grateful for puppy snuggles! :dancingdog:

@LSlycord Glad to hear that you aren't feeling as grumpy. :dancingelephant: The massage must have felt incredible. I can't believe that you are still in so much pain from the Andie Takedown. Have you seen a doctor or is it just the tightness that won't go away?
Did you ever find your desk/office space again? The last several months have been nonstop chaos so it's not surprising that you let that slide. You go this!

@vickyday It's supposed to be hot and humid today but back in the 70s the rest of the week. This is the strangest weather, usually August is hazy, hot, and humid the entire month.
How do you keep track of that many stitches for the blanket? I know I would mess it all up. What a fab photo of you and Mark! ♥

@BrightEyes My friend and her family are on vacation in Las Vegas and she has posted that it has rained every day they have been there. I know they weren't expecting that when they booked their trip months ago. LOL-ing at 4 books that will hold you until mid-week :D

@Cherylndesigns I would send everyone the cooler weather if I could. I am glad for my electric bill's sake, though, not having the AC running all day. Not getting financial assistance towards the bill has been a big hit to the pocketbook. (I can't even console myself that we can get it back when Scott moves out because Cait's income still pushes us over the limit)
That's great that you were able to get the jacket at Amazon, you are gonna look so cute in it!

Time to get over to the Gallery!

Good morning. Grateful that the high is only supposed to be 90 and with the ceiling fan on it feels nice at 80 here on the lanai. Also grateful that, as of now, none of the storm activity in the Atlantic is bad.

Didn’t do much yesterday. I am binging on Suits. I didn’t think that I would like it but Syd convinced me to try it before she left and I am enjoying it. I started a layout but haven’t finished it. And I ordered almost $300 of groceries to be delivered today. We really were down to nothing.

Syd and I texted last night. She is busy with everyone back to school.

I’ll do personals later. I thought I had posted this already but I guess not! A mind is a terrible thing to lose.

Since I am only doing one increase per row I don't have to check the number of stitches too often. When I want to check my progress I just count as I knit a row. Plus the blanket is supposed to measure 30"x30" when done so I'm kinda watching the size as it grows, too. I am loving this pattern. I can knit without thinking about it and watch TV, too.

This is a crude measurement, but I'm 125 stitches into the 220 before the decreasing begins, or just a bit over half way of the increases. And it is roughly measuring 15" along the side. So it is close to gauge, which doesn't have to be exact with this project.

Good morning!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I finished up the COVID protocol yesterday, but I think I will continue the supplements and vitamins for now at least.
I never did do laundry this weekend so I really need to do that today. I have a 12:30 appointment for getting the car inspected, oil change and tire rotation, so there's that. Plus I need to go to the auto store to get the synthetic oil my car uses. Leftovers for supper. I need a few things at the grocery store but that will probably wait. And that's my day.
I'm a little over half way through the first half of the baby blanket now. About 95 more rows before the decreasing begins.
Have a great day!

Good morning.

Up early again, for me. Had kind of a restless night and sometimes, I just get tired of it and get up. Adrienne and I ran into town yesterday and while we were in there she said she was just exhausted and needed to come home. She took a three hour nap and felt better when she got up. She's been doing too much - working outside in this heat and I think she's just plain exhausted. She tries to do too much when Roger's gone. She has to work all day today so she'll be sitting at her desk most of the day. We never did make it to meet B. She was just too tired to go last night.

Ava got home about 10 last night, but went straight to bed. She's going to try to come over this afternoon. She made record time from Detroit and even stopped to dip her feet in Lake Michigan. She had to stop by Steph's again because she accidentally took Steph's mailbox keys. Steph met her at 4 o'clock to save her a trip to her place and she booked on home after that. Today is Asher's first day at his new school. I hope that goes well and he makes lots of nice, new friends. She's going to be sending me pics later on. I always make him a sign to hold on his first day of school and this year, it will have Missouri on it. I've made him one since Pre-K. He's getting to big to want to do it, but we've programmed him that he has to do it til 12th grade. He humors us. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: I made the sign at Walgreens and had it sent to a store about ten minutes from Steph's house - I love Walgreen's photo. I even had a free coupon for an 8 x 10!

I'm going to go get me some tea now and I'll be back for personals.

Morning, gals. Yesterday turned into a 'do nothing' day. Adding the new BP meds to my regular BP meds caused a low all day. Glad the Neuro doc had warned me that might happen. So I cut the pills in half starting today. It will take a few days to find out if the BP stabilizes and if it helps with the tremors. Will make sure the BP is in the normal range before I drive anywhere.

I got on the computer earlier this morning when it suddenly went into to "Update Windows" mode. Took almost 30 minutes to do the update! UGH!!! I had put it off but it snuck up on me and did it anyway.

Need to cut this short as the Pest Control is coming today and I need to get a shower before he arrives.

Good morning ladies. I have been lying in bed quite a bit with headache, my eyes are burning and I am wheezing with chest congestion so am feeling fatigued but not sleeping much. The wildfire smoke has gotten really bad here, last night I couldn't see anything out of my window, it was so thick. There is no fire close to our home at this time but the fires all around us have made it a 10+ air quality index rating (10 is dangerous and we are above that). We have been told to stay indoors and all non-essential travel has been enforced, the highways are closed, the hotels/motels/rest stops etc have been given to the evacuees and stores are running out of essential supplies in the merritt area where many of the kelowna evacuees were sent. People are parked on the sides of the roads, sleeping in their cars, setting up tents in parking lots, etc. My friend got out of kelowna safely and her condo is safe for the moment. Another friend lost their summer place in the kelowna area. No real estate will be selling now so it is unlikely that we will sell this year. Only local people could buy or virtual online b/c of the restriction of no road travel and the airport has been closed or restricted flights this last week. I'm pretty sure no one in their right mind would choose to come here and buy a home at this point. I am devastated that it looks like we will be stuck here, not able to sell and move to alberta as we hoped. I need to sort papers and figure out what needs to be included in an evacuation travel bag in case one of the fires reaches us.

I might try a scrap page today or tomorrow, depending on my headache and sore eyes. I can't wait for autumn/winter to come. Summer here is too scary.

I'm going to get a coffee and try to relax for awhile. I'll check in again soon. bfn.

@bcgal00 I am so sorry to hear about all of the trauma of the fires. It must be incredibly stressful...particularly with the impacts to your plans to try to sell the house. I hope that you have been able to get some relaxation today.

@BrightEyes glad that the doctor warned you about the low blood pressure. Hope that you get to feeling better soon.

@Cherylndesigns it sounds like Adrienne is just truly exhausted! Maybe she can make some time to see Braden next weekend.

@vickyday love the picture of you and Mark in front of the church yesterday.

@faerywings that was a pretty fast walk. No wonder Gary came home and crashed.

I'm so sorry to hear of the fire troubles impacting you again, Rae! I pray it misses you completely and that you will still be able to sell and buy new this year! Praying you are feeling better and that your eyes have settled down!:hug3:
