That was my Preschool teacher coming out. All of this back to school talk makes me miss the old days when I'd be getting my classroom all ready and new kids coming in.... very exciting time of year for teachers. I kind of miss having that impact on young learners.

Did everyone enjoy their weekend? Hope so!

Looks like gorgeous weather here today, I have to say I am bummed- yesterday's forecast was calling for rain today, and I was planning on an afternoon scrap fest! I'll have to spend a bit of time outside andthenthe rest of the day here at my computer. Good deal!

Chris, i can SO see you in front of a classroom of little kiddos!! did you ever think of going back to that? i sometimes miss teaching, too. it does look like great weather for today. i thought it was supposed to rain here last night, but all it did was do ONE giant BOOM of thunder, loud enough to wake me up and make me say YIKES!! (and ensure that it would take me about 10 hours to fall back to sleep.) but no rain. weird.

happy Back to Work, Laurie. hope all goes smoothly.

i already finished my Monday attempt at scrapping. i had a go at the August CopyCat Challenge. aren't challenges great?? they help the fuzzy brain focus on something. sometimes the hardest thing is just to BEGIN!!

grocery shopping and some housework and laundry today.

Morning everyone... Sunny day here again today, but the temps are cooler, you can feel that summer will soon be coming to a close. Full day of work for me today and then tomorrow off, the house all to myself, so hoping to have a scrapfest Tuesday!

Chris - Bet you were a terrific teacher!! Did you have to give it up because of the Lyme? Hope your day goes well and you get to scrap the day away!!

Laurie - Hi back at ya! :wave: Hope your day goes smoothly!!

Phylis - You were a teacher also?? Bet you and Chris would have had a blast together in the classroom! Will have to check out your copy cat page! Hope your day is great and I envy you, your homemakers life!! I wish that DH would tell me that I could retire from work! Everyone tells me I would be bored, :bored: but I have so many things that I love to do like scrapping, painting, bear making, walking, hiking, the list goes on so I don't think I would have time to be bored.

Well off to make some breakfast, after a quick browse through the gallery. Wish I could be here all day today, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. :wave:
 
Trudy, i was a music teacher, first in elementary schools, then in the Performing Arts High School in our city. the little ones are the best. they're a laugh a minute!
