Good morning and happy brand new week! I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend and is well rested and ready to go.

As for me... well... you know.... ;)
I am in for an unsettled week on top of not great sleep and all those goodies that go along with it. You know how awesome I handle that.

I am not sure when I am working or how I am getting anywhere. I think we have today and tomorrow semi-firmed up with cars as long as I am not doing the summer camp. I haven't gotten the official word it was canceled but unless some miracle happened overnight (doubtful!), no one else signed up. That is disappointing but it seems like it's not a bad thing, all considered.
I woke up at 4 again and made the mistake of checking my email to see if there was any work about camp. No word on that, but a very long email from my sister in law. She is concerned about my parents' health and my dad's driving.
It didn't contain any information that I didn't know or suspect, but it reinforces the need to take care of this stuff on the sooner side. None of this is fun and I know I don't need to tell you all that.

I am picking up groceries and prescriptions this morning before Tom needs to leave for work. Cait has my car today, he has hers. I'd like to dig up some of the flowers and plans my friend offered to me. I was hoping that it would rain and soften the ground but no luck there. I either do it today or tomorrow since they are out on Wednesday. I went down to see her new house yesterday and it is beautiful. Everything is new and shiny, she has tons of closets and counter space and all that makes me happy for her.

That's it from me. I feel my mood is a more than little heavy, so I want to make sure I take some time to deal with that.

Wishing everyone a lovely day!

@BoatLady I give you credit for surviving that long without wifi service. You don't realize how much you rely on it until you can't.
You are so lucky to have lived and visited all over the world. You and Kay must have some of the most incredible stories and adventures.

@BrightEyes whispers back... good news about the you-know-whats feeling better :)

@AK_Tracy We are the same way with feeding my dogs too. Jaida starts bouncing around at 6.30 for breakfast. She is not allowed to eat until it is 7 am. Give them an extra minute or two early, the next thing you know is you are feeding them at 3 am :lol23:

@bcgal00 Oh no, you poor thing, pain like that is miserable. Please be careful with your BP and eye pressure. :hug3:

@MariJ That is a great line about not being friendly :giggle4:

Morning, all. Slept in until 7:30AM this morning.... not like yesterday when I was woken up by a phone call at 5:30AM. Recorded message saying that my bank credit card had declined a charge of $220 and I should call (phone number) if I didn't know about the charge. I was half asleep and groggy and mad that I was woken up with no paper/pencil to write info down. Well, long story short...later in the morning, I called the number on the back of my card but they couldn't confirm if a declined charge had been made and they referred me to my bank (gave me the 7/24 number). I talked to them and gave them the name/phone number from my caller ID... It was a SCAM!!! No charges had been made or declined on the card! Thank goodness I am smart enough to know that there was something off (caller ID name was not bank nor credit card plus giving a different call back number to use).

Looks like taking it easy has been the right thing to do. No pain meds yesterday and both shoulder and foot are just slightly aching last night and this morning. Will continue with the 'do little' for another couple of days. DD#1 is flying in on Wednesday but DD#3 is picking her up at the airport... I will take her back to the airport the next Tuesday. She will be helping her son for 1-2 days then will be staying with me the other days.

@faerywings Sorry about all the car shuffling around. Always hard when everyone has to go to different jobs and at different times and a car is in the shop! I remember when I had to tell my mom that she had to give up her driver's license.... hard but necessary. And when I had to tell hubby that he couldn't drive anymore. Glad that other family members also feel that your F-inLaw needs to quit driving. Maybe a family gathering with him to break the news.

@bcgal00 So sorry about the forgotten frozen item that melted all over... what a mess! And sending you healing thoughts for the sore back.... BTDT....

Time for more :coffeedrinker:

Good morning ladies. I am slowly feeling better but the headache and back pain linger, albeit much lessened. I spent 2 days in bed, slept a lot and binged netflix. I think tomorrow I will feel pretty good but will have to be careful for a few more days not to strain the back any worse. Wearing a good brace definitely helps.

Jen and D have been on the phone all morning, getting info about private medical plans. We feel we are paying too much for too little so am trying to figure it all out.

Remi has been so good about me being in bed for the wkend and not walking her but I know she is anxious to get out. I'll try to get her out for a slow walk later, I know she'll be happy about that.

I'm not going to be online too much today but will check in tomorrow.
