Happy Monday!!
It's a fresh start and I need it. I have been letting so many things slide and I need a kick in the butt to get myself going. The last few weeks were just too stressful. So here I go--- Getting back on track and organized (ish).
(Heck, I am trying! LOL)
The forest bathing hike yesterday was wonderful. Even if it did get off to a rough start for me, thanks to Caitlyn.
We start the hike with some deep breathing and then walk slowly focusing on one sense at a time. We had just begun to focus on sound when Caitlyn texted me- I HAVE A GREY HAIR! Then I HAVE MANY OF THEM! I text back quickly that I was sorry and that I was on a meditation hike-- and she texts me back two more times that I was "leaving her in her time of need." Not the best way to stay grounded.
The forest was just so peaceful though and I was happy listening and looking at everything. We walked right past two deer who didn't seem bothered at all by people. We finished by drinking some white pine/spruce tea that Lauren (the guide) had foraged and steeped for us. It tasted like Christmas.
I have my To-Do list ready to go, I just need more caffeine
Today, I am grateful that I live in such a beautiful area!
