Happy Monday!!
:cowwaving:

It's a fresh start and I need it. I have been letting so many things slide and I need a kick in the butt to get myself going. The last few weeks were just too stressful. So here I go--- Getting back on track and organized (ish).
(Heck, I am trying! LOL)

The forest bathing hike yesterday was wonderful. Even if it did get off to a rough start for me, thanks to Caitlyn. :D
We start the hike with some deep breathing and then walk slowly focusing on one sense at a time. We had just begun to focus on sound when Caitlyn texted me- I HAVE A GREY HAIR! Then I HAVE MANY OF THEM! I text back quickly that I was sorry and that I was on a meditation hike-- and she texts me back two more times that I was "leaving her in her time of need." Not the best way to stay grounded. ;)
The forest was just so peaceful though and I was happy listening and looking at everything. We walked right past two deer who didn't seem bothered at all by people. We finished by drinking some white pine/spruce tea that Lauren (the guide) had foraged and steeped for us. It tasted like Christmas. :christmastree:

I have my To-Do list ready to go, I just need more caffeine:coffeedrinker:

Today, I am grateful that I live in such a beautiful area!

BTW- Jenn added a ton of smilies if you didn't notice yet. So many funny ones!
And this one~> -- I know it is supposed to be a bow in her hair, but I am making it my faery wings. You'll be seeing that one a lot, for sure.

@vickyday have you tested negative yet? I bet you can't wait until you do if you haven't already. Keep feeling better and I'm so relieved that Mark is ok.

@LSlycord Do you have a Pinterest Board for your floor plans yet? Good luck to Shaun - hope he gets all the classes he needs and at the best times.
To do research would have taken visits to who knows how many offices to find out what the laws were.
So true! We had that convo at dinner last week, Cait was saying how much easier we had it way back when. Scott shot back that we had to do it all without GPS :giggle4:

@BrightEyes I hear ya- I had a procrastination *week.* I hope that by resting a little more you feel better and more energized today. Glad that the stress ball suggestion helped.

@Cherylndesigns Dogs. pfft! They are living messes and we love them anyway.
Good luck with the weeding when you get to it. When we saw the deer yesterday, they looked so healthy. Last year the deer were very skinny because of the drought. All of the rain we have gotten this summer have the plants very lush.
My milkweed now has to be close to 7' since it is much taller than Gary. And my tomato plants - I am going to need the stepladder to get any tomatoes from the top parts.

Your hike sounds wonderful! Was this a venture that allowed for picture-taking?

I am going to wait until I no longer have the sore throat before I test myself again. Mark is still good.....however, he was complaining of a headache this morning! I hope that is not a bad sign! But, he has headaches all the time the same as me, so I am praying that is all it is! He kissed me on the lips a couple of times yesterday but I made him kiss only my cheek this morning before he left for work! I don't want him blaming me for anything :giggle4:

Good Morning!
Happy Monday! It is for me, anyway! I am feeling better and better each day, but I still have a sore throat for some crazy reason. I'm sure I should be gargling but it gags me! I might try some warm salt water later. I seem to be able to handle that better than the mouthwash. Mark complained of a headache this morning, so I am praying he is not starting to catch this stuff!
I was up until 1:30ish this morning working on a grocery order which I will be picking up in a couple of hours. I'm surprised I'm up this early, but I could not go back to sleep when Mark got up at 6:30 for work. But, since I've been sick, I didn't get the laundry done this past weekend, so I will be working on that today. I don't expect to be going out to lunch with Mark this week because the boss is on vacation this week so he is in charge.
That's it for me for the day. I think I may have one more designer challenge to do for the month and then I want to catch up on my monthly review pages using Anna's products and templates.
Have a great Monday start for your week! :lovey3:

Quick in and out this morning. DD#3 came over yesterday to bring a few things down. She moved her things from her office into the master bedroom so her youngest son could use it for his bedroom. Then they moved grandson (3 yrs old) into that bedroom. The family is in the process of cleaning out stuff they are not using... so she brought down a TV, indoor antenna, and a DVD player for the guest bedroom. Just realized this AM that she didn't bring the remotes for them!! She also brought down an office chair for me to try out. Well... the lumbar part of the chair hits my back where my fusion is so will let her know to have her son who works close to me to come and take it to GoodWill.

I managed to get the LO for the sketch challenge done after DD#3 left and got it uploaded this morning.

@faerywings Yes, I saw the new similes... Oh that one is perfect for you. Forgot to mention that there are 2 sets of hummingbirds in my yard. They are nested in a bush that hangs over my fence from the neighbor's yard. Tried to get a photo of they disappear as soon as I set on the patio.

@vickyday Hoping at your hubby's headache isn't because he is coming down with Covid. Sending healing thoughts to both of you.

Have laundry to finish up today. CYL

I just spoke with Mark. He wants me to bring him a sandwich for lunch when I go to pick up the grocery order. He informed me that his taste is off today. He still isn't feeling bad, but that is not a good sign! Thanks for the healing thoughts! :lovey3: :beatingheart:

I'm in The Zone ~ The "O" Zone

Good evening. I finally made it in here. We had a doctor's appointments this afternoon. Since we've lived here, we've had four different general practitioners. Well, Chuck called last week to get prescriptions refilled and they said that our doctor (who we loved) wasn't there anymore. The new doctor couldn't see us for about 2 months. Chuck doesn't give up and finally Walgreen's told him that our doctor had moved to another town which is about the same distance as his old office. Anyway, we went to see him today and he promised if he ever went anyplace else, he'd call us. Then we ran some other errands while we were out. We hadn't been home too long with Adrienne and and dogs came down.

Anyhoo, I just haven't been able to get in here all day. Chris @faerywings your forest bathing sounds wonderful. I could go for some of that right now. I agree about the dogs - they're messy but worth it. Daisy is so dainty even though she weighs almost 50 pounds, she just a dainty thing. So is Lila. Then we have Bailee and Marley. Daisy is actually bigger than Bailee, but B is still a lab and they throw the water everywhere. You're talking about your tall plants - my tallest ones are my zebra grasses - they're only 3 years old, but they're huge. Everybody keeps trying to talk me into trimming them, but I LOVE them. I just noticed today that the "zebra" part of them is really showing. I used pictures of my front garden for Connection Keeping's Goals Pre Release. Three years ago, my plants had JUST been planted and now, they're huge.

I'm going to get going - love to all - Vicky @vickyday glad you're feeling better and hope Mark stays ok.

Hugs to everybody else.
XOXO
