Well, dang it all, my weekend went way to fast. How about yours? Same thing for you, I bet.

This weeks seems to be somewhat settled, at least ATM. I thought I was going to have an awesome day today. The weather is gorgeous and Cait and I were going to hit the lake this afternoon. But the good/bad news is that Scott is coming home from the shore today now, not tomorrow. So I am going only get an hour at the beach before I have to drive down to his GF's house to get him. Its about 45 minutes away from my house, so that's a bummer. But the good news is that I'l get to see him, its been a week! The only other day I have to get to the lake is Wed and it looks like rain. :Cry:

I still have 2 weeks after this one, so I cannot let my head get ahead of the calendar.

I am off to the grocery store in a bit, and back to my regularly scheduled bitching about not knowing what to cook.......

I am going to make every minute count at the lake today, even if it is only for a few!!!!
 
Looks like I was all caught up from yesterday, except for nana. I didn't paint anything- it was $9 sitting fee plus the piece which were all about $15-20 :eek:
They had some really cute stuff, including an **awesome** mickey mouse ear bowl that I wanted so badly LOL
But I didn;t dare even look at the price! LOL
 
Morning- back to the normal routine- whatever that is. Work, walk after work I hope, some lawn mowing- practicing my new skills, try to make sense of what I learned. Ah- real life- oh and sprinkle some scrapping in- today will likely be the longest feeling day this week. Although the ball, bean bag exercises I did, should be good for my ability to think and process, so we shall see- perhaps a mid day ball bouncing break will be in my day today. I have already started my day with bouncing in the kitchen- no dishes were broken!! Okay- later my O fam- have Marvelous MOndays!
 
Monday. Anniversary Day. i asked Hubby to tell me his dream dinner and dessert and i'd make it tonight. honestly, it's like pulling teeth. what is it with men??? don't women just DREAM of someone asking them that question? he had a hard time thinking of what i should make. sigh....

it's 57 degrees and SO pleasant. i've actually been sleeping in my bed and not in the recliner downstairs. i hope we've seen the end of the HOT weather. enough, already.

Chris, hope you get in some beach time. I still envy you having that option near you. all we have are rivers that are not swimmer-friendly. in fact, they like to grab at you and pull you under....

Laurie, good luck with the first Back to Work day! please share one of the ball exercises you learned!

Ellen, i put up my clothesline 2 months ago and haven't used it yet! i used to hang things out all the time, but this summer has been so HUMID that i thing nothing would have dried outside!

Jen, i'm with Chris. please tell me that chicken comes from the Tooth Fairy or something!

Nana, i imagine that the cake was a BIG HIT!!!

today, off to the supermarket and some cleaning. gotta get an anniversary card, too. BAD ME! i should make one, but i'm not going to....

Morning ladies... have been MIA in here lately, but have been very busy with DD ! I am enjoying the last week with her here. This weekend we went to Parksville and stayed at SIL's place for a girls weekend. Got a lovely pedicure at a beautiful resort on the Oceanfront and before that we had a great lunch together. Back at her place we chatted and drank wine on the back patio and then she had a light supper prepared and we ended the evening watching a chick flick. Sunday we all went to Coombs, a cute little tourist trap and wandered around the shops and look who found me in front of the Goat's on the Roof Restaurant and Market...

Heather is just the most lovely lady!! We had a short but sweet visit as she was on her way to her vacation spot in Tofino on the West Coast. I will post more about our visit later, but right now I have to get going to work for the day then hopefully Tues. I will be able to get a page or two done about our visit!

Chris- I sure hope you manage to squeeze in a couple more hours on the beach before the summer is over!! It will be goo to have your son home with you again!!

Laurie - You will have to let us know more about this new ball, bean bag excercise!!

Phylis - Happy Anniversary!! What is it with men and trying to make a decision on anything???? They really are from Mars aren't they!! Mine can't decide where the hell to go on a vaction, besides taking in a Dallas Cowboy's football Game, really there must be something else you would like to do??

Anyway I am running late and have a full day of work today, its going to be a beautiful day again today, MG and DD are off to the Lake to get in a last visit with MIL and FIL for my DD before she leaves us, hopefully she will get some swimming in today! Have a great day everyone!! :wave:

Trudy, the Girls' Weekend sounds amazing! a pedi by the ocean. what could be better! and so cool that you met up with Heather!
