Good morning ladies. So glad to see you - Eva and Marie!!
Things here are good. 5 more days until the wedding. My sister will have a very rough week. Her BIL and SIL to be are leaving Wisconsin tonight for the drive out here. Mind you they are driving because they couldn't be bothered with buying airline tickets in an appropriate time frame. Until they show up they will not be counted as for sures...and they are in the wedding. I guess it is an in-law thing. My BILs barely made it to my wedding. They got to the airport (mind you the bought tickets 2 weeks before the wedding) and knew the flight number but not the airline. Once they got it figured out they had already missed their flight. Then when they got to LV for their layover they thought it would be so great to get stoned on top of a casino, so they missed their connecting flight. When they finally got to the Reno airport they didn't know what hotel we were staying in but knew where we were getting married in Tahoe so decided to just lay down on some benches and to take a shuttle in the morning. Derek got tired of waiting for them to show up and so at 2am (the morning of our wedding) went to the airport to find them and found them sleeping on benches. Who does that? Oh, I know, selfish people who don't care about anyone but themselves. So, now it my sister's turn to deal with self centered future in-laws. My sister's bridezillaness has gone way done but my mom has definitely taken on the role with her freaking out about everything. Yesterday, I suggested trying to get our bags out of the prep area before the wedding so that no one had to worry about it later and she made it into this huge ordeal instead of saying...no that won't work...or...that would be cool if we can make it work. Nope...10 minutes of discussion later I blew up and told her that her micro managing had gotten beyond ridiculous and I'd had enough. I had been listening and letting things roll off my back for over an hour at that point and so I was at a breaking point. I mean it is to the point where she is trying to schedule every second of when the boys all leave us and go get tuxes and check into hotels and play for the evening. Once they leave us they need to know when to be where and that's ity. My dad already had a schedule but she had to have it emailed to her...even though she came up with the damn thing. Ugh!!! My mom has lost it. We have gotten along fabulously until now. But I assume this will be the week of melt downs around here. Everything is together though so that is good...except flower which will get delivered Wednesday. So, wish us luck that we all survive each other until the wedding.
Chris - I am so glad your garage sale went well. $150 in little crap is pretty impressive. Yay you. Have fun putting the car in the shop. I need to get the car I'm borrowing fixed also. My mom bumped it and dinged it a little bit so we need to get it all fixed before we return it. I told the girl (which I wasn't going to do until it was fixed) and she freaked out. She heard "car...hit...dented" and heard nothing else I said and thought I wasn't going to get it fixed or anything. Luckily it wasn't my fault so I don't have to deal with it, but my dad was waiting for some stuff to work on fixing it himself before taking it in. We don't want to replace the door and get it painted because then it wouldn't match the rest of the car. So after I had talked to her and showed her and told her we were in the process of taking care of things, she sent me a FB message kinda freaking out thinking I wasn't taking care of it. But I calmed her fears thankfully. Yay.
Marie - I used to always play in here when I was at work...but I had nothing else to do in between patients when I worked in a clinic and my boss didn't care cuz he was awesome. Enjoy your day.
Eva - I hate the heat also. In NC where I live it is over 100 and at least 85% humidity on any given day. It feels like you can cut the air with a knife. I am loving the weather in Seattle much more. So, on a bit of a depressing note...how was Sweden affected by the attacks being so close? I don't know how the Scandinavian countries interact with each other. Being so close had to be a bit unnerving I would think. I have been praying for the people there.
OKay...I am off. I am hoping that Laurie not being in here means she is busy and not bad news. Sending prayers your way girl. My grandparents died 3 months apart. I think they just don't know how to function apart. Even through the sadness I found it sweet. Sending love and hugs!!
I have to run off and post the Copycat challenge. Check it out guys...the template this month is amazing (really...aren't they all?) But I really liked this one and the different interpretations I have already seen. Make sure to check it out and play along.
