Is it really Monday again, already?
The weekend seemed to drag and fly by at the same time. How is that even possible?

I am in a somewhat better mood today than I was yesterday. I was in full mental breakdown mode when I woke up yesterday but it got a bit better in the afternoon. Now I am just more on the "Blah" setting. (Talk to me after I get home from food shopping and see if that has changed :twitch: )

I didn't do too much yesterday. Got my food shopping lists and coupons semi-ready for today. Baked some cookies. Played with the pets.

I have to go check on Caitlyn in a minute. She was throwing up this morning and was going to try to rest for a bit before she needs to get ready for school. Stress really seems to make her stomach a mess. I wish I knew how to help with that but I only seem to make stress my center of being. heh.

I hope that all of you have a wonderful day. I am happy that the sun is shining, even if it will be cold.

ahhhh, crud. Cait is feeling worse and is lying on her floor all wrapped in her blankets. She isn't going to school. I shouldn't worry about that part since her grades are fine and I know that she is accepted to Ramapo so there is that. But darn it. :(
Did I tell you all that she thinks that she is relapsing with Lyme? We are bringing her with us to our LLMD (I am remembering that I did tell you this now that I am typing it out) to get blood workups. It has been over two years since she saw her LLMD who is now retired and over 3 years symptom free. I hope that it this isn't anything more than just being overtired. (but you know how our luck seems to run LOL)

*sighs*

Jean- I loved your LO for Ona's challenge so much that I am trying to scraplift it for mine. I tossed out the photo that I was going to use and am in the process of working with a new one. How did you get the bird masked the way that you did?
Congrats on the Standing O.:high5:

Is Qullimam's camera down? Caitlyn and I tried to watch him yesterday but it said that he was offline.
Bummer!

Felis- I think that Floyd will be ok with the fluids since he likes to snuggle. And he didn't even squirm when it was going in. I remember how strange it felt when I was having IV abx every day, having a cold liquid going into my vein. But he didn't seem to care. Hope that it stays that way. The vet said that treats would be fine if that keeps him in one place. I think a dog might be easier- if I give mine a bone with some peanut butter in it that keeps them occupied for a long time. I guess we will just have to figure it out as it happens.
The food that he has to eat is a prescription diet formula that is made for cats with renal failure so it is low in protein. One is with chicken the other is made with tuna. He seems to be ok with each flavor so at least that is good.
yeah, it is really going to be hard for Caitlyn to watch Clover get bad. The tumor is growing really fast. She used to measure them as pea-sized. blueberry... She isn't even bothering with that now. She just needs to keep her comfortable and to make sure that if the tumor gets bigger that skin doesn't get infected from dragging on the floor of the cage.
I don't know how I am going to be able to help her with the loss. But she got through losing her rabbit and her cat in less than 24 hours a couple of years ago. Actually it was closer to 12 hours apart. Bunny died at 2 am or so and then we had Merlin put down that morning. She knows it is going to be terrible but that she will survive it.

Crap. I am doing it again. Blabbering on about such sad things. :sorry:

sending love to all of you!!!

good morning - Well the playoffs opponents and dates are all set. My team will play the Tampa Bay Lightning starting in Tampa on Thursday. Last night was the final regular season game between Boston and Florida. Florida won and while I am sorry Trudy's team lost it is good for my team in that they will not face each other in the first round. Our first home games are not until next Monday and Wednesday and if needed then Sunday. It is such a different feeling to know I have more games coming up. But it is also the worst time as it means there are fewer and fewer games each day. Yes it will take until June but I love hockey. I am transitioning into baseball though the Yankees are making it hard with losing two 12 inning games and their new acquisition Stanton striking out 5 times in those games. But on the other hand the Mets swept the Nationals this weekend. And it is not their starting pitchers but the bull pen and batters coming through at the right times. My girlfriend was so happy to see the NY Rangers hockey team fired their coach. She did not like the way he treated his young stars. Today is chores.

Chris sorry you having such a difficult time. Having Cait stressed is not good for either of you. Hope she feels better soon and can get to school. Good luck at the store. Have you tried doing the fluid transfer yet on Floyd? I heard 71 degrees on Friday. Today is freezing but maybe if we can make it until Friday.

Felis hope you had a wonderful Easter. Maybe cats like beef because it is something they normally don't eat so it is new.

Trudy and Rae it was so nice of Sportsnet to stream the vigil at Humboldt. I was able to watch and it was very moving. The chaplain for the team was very honest. I was impressed to see the Prime Minister there and not wanting the spot light so unlike my President. Such a sad story and yet there were uplifting moments.

Trudy I am so glad that Boston and NJ are not meeting in the first round though I was prepared for that as I thought for sure Boston would not want to meet Toronto. Hope you had fun with family and kids.

Rae hope you had a very restful weekend.

Jean how nice your had a good speaker. And how wonderful you are getting warmer temps. I am hoping we will soon.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... It was a nice weekend, but a sad one too! Nice that my son and family came to stay the night. Sad because the whole world is talking about the hockey players that were killed in the bus crash! I am late posting here this morning I have been busy with a facetime call from Heather and Hunter. It is fun now as I can keep him entertained while Heather gets her lunch. He loves it when I sing to him and his favourite is Itsy Bitsy Spider. He is such a happy little boy. He now has three teeth two on the bottom and one on the top, but he has discovered that he can grind them and that is such a horrible sound!! It gives me the shudders LOL. Today is my day to just stay home and do whatever, all my housework is done and so is all the :washing: I had a busy afternoon of cleaning etc after everyone left to home. Then about 5 minutes after Jason and family arrived at their house they had to get out because they were having a showing of their house, the third one of the day already. Lets hope it sells soon so they don't have to keep getting out of the house LOL.

Chris - Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better this morning! Poor Cait it will be hard for her to deal with losing her sweet little rat, but like you say she is strong and will hopefully cope with it well. I truly hope that she is not relapsing with lyme!! Sorry that she is feeling so terrible today and missing school. Glad that at least the sun is shining for you today, now you just need the warmer temps to come along too! I really need to try Ona's challenge this month and try something new.

Nancy - We were very disappointed in the game last night, seems the Bruins just did not care if they won or lost. :mmph: we really did not want them to have to play the Maple Leafs, and if they lose that game then we will never hear the end of it from our BIL. :gaah: I don't know why he has to be that way, we would certainly never bug him about his Maple Leafs. Oh well I guess we just won't answer the phone LOL. Yes it was a moving vigil that they had in Humboldt! The whole hockey world has come together over this tragic event. I just can't imagine what those poor families are going through! It was good to see our Prime Minister there also, you are right he was a bit more of a class act than DT would have been. So amazing that they have raised over 4 million dollars already for these families. Such generosity in the sports world! I hope that you enjoy your day even if you don't get to watch your Devils for a few more days!

Jean - Yes so many great stories from the kids and their trip. Isaac was over the moon that he got chosen for the wand picking at Harry Potter in Universal! It must have been so fun to see. They would not let anyone film it though, so that was too bad. Loved your page for Ona's challenge, so nice that you got the StandingO! Hope your day is filled with good things!

Felis - I hope that you enjoyed a great weekend! Thanks for the compliment about my kids, they are pretty great and I think I will hang onto them for while LOL! Yes Storm is a lucky dog and very much a part of their family, hope she travels well with them on their long car ride out to Ottawa when they do go.

:hello: Rae, I hope that you are doing well and the Bailey is improving! So glad that you have gotten rid of that horrible, horrible nurse! Wish their was a better place for B to be until she moves in with you and J! She will have the best of care then!

Ok I better get myself into the shower and get on with this day. Tomorrow I am meeting up with my husbands two sisters, we are having a nice lunch together at Bridgemans Bistro in Mill bay, should be a great get together! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. I had a productive morning. I pulled some bins out and sorted thru clothes, making piles to bring to VV and a small pile of things I could still wear. I had forgotten about these bins of clothes as they were in the basement, tucked away in a corner. I packed up all my fall/winter sweaters and hung up the lightweight sweaters for the spring/summer. I folded up all the heavier housecoats and hung up the lighterweight ones for spring/summer. This year was the easiest seasonal clothing switch I've ever done as everything is pretty well organized to start with.

Yesterday, B got moved to a room at the end of the hall, the farthest from the elevators and is the quietest part of the ward. She has a roommate (they had no private rooms left) but the woman is quiet and its a good tradeoff to get her further away from the noise of the staff and patients always chattering around the nurses station which was right across from her room. Hopefully this will be a good move. She is responding to the ivig and prednisone and other meds a bit. She can now print slowly and read a bit. She has no short term memory at all (can't remember anything previous to about 1-2 minutes) so we really hope that improves as I can only imagine how frustrating that is to not remember having just ate, just talked, etc. She is always happy when I bring food to her so my baking is a regular task for me now and she is enjoying watching youtube videos with me about animals and kids. Yesterday I did a stretching routine with her that she enjoyed which may be helpful in regaining coordination and if nothing else, probably feels good after lying in bed day after day. So I suggested we do that together on every visit.

We relaxed last night and caught up on The Walking Dead so we'll be ready for the finale on Sunday night.

Chris - hope C is feeling better as the day progresses and it's not a flareup of the Lyme disease. Hope your blahs lift today.

Nancy - you love of sports sure keeps you busy and I love to see all the LOs you create when you attend the games and take photos. I know I've said it before but I'll say it again....your sports talk reminds me of my mom as she was the biggest sports fan in our family and would talk about sports with such joy, especially hockey.

Trudy - how sweet that you sing to Hunter. Enjoy your day at home today. I too am staying home today and getting chores done while taking breaks from my desk work. I am not leaving the house at all today. It's a small pleasure as we've been so busy lately :)

Gotta go, get back to work. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hello ladies,
the garden party was pretty good! And because it was afternoon party most people (including me for a little) was wearing t-shirts ;) ! Today we continued with the slothful holiday style, but the Easter flew away so fast and tomorrow we are back to normal.

Chris, this is so unfair, pretty young girl who feels her stomach sick have to worry that can be accidentally pregnant, not that can be relapsing with serious illness. I'm sure Caitlin is strong, but looks like this stress is too much for her. She don't deserve to deal with sad and fear from so many pet-kids loss! I'm sure all is from the stress! Fate can't be so big bi*** :censored: , to give her more troubles. Hope she will feels better soon! I also hope that shopping could distract you for a little! And to be out of the home and all these worries, will improving your mood!

Nancy and Jean, I saw your both's pages with the Ona challenge and they are lovely, girls!

Nancy, to have your son and his co worker in your house, must be fun, but also noisy for you. How Luther deal with strangers at home? Oh and how is his ear infection? With so good season for your team, it's definitely will miss you, but June is still away, so enjoy the moment!

Jean, so good that you had entertaining speaker! Hope that weather is better and you can enjoying the birds! At my neighbor's garden have Common Cuckoos and it's so pleasure just to listen it.

Rae, I'm so respected from your so well organised wardrobe, especially with your great shopping success! Hope the new room of B is nice! Maybe is good to have roommate, because this wouldn't left Jane alone against the nurse. You really shouldn't argue with the nurse team, because they are united group, and always can find way to screw up you! I hope you'll find a better approach!

Trudy, the Disney trip sounds so awesome! Especially the Harry Potter part, I was massive fan of it(And now of course I'm The Strike fan.) ! Sooo bad that is not let anyone film it!!! But they have many other pics I guess! Hunter is so sweet too! Did he sing with you in duet?! So cute! Oh, I'm sure that the long car ride wouldn't be so difficult for the dog. With children they'll have to stop few times anyway, so Storm will can go out too and even will have fun. Without children some people get nervous when have to stop to let the dog go out and get move for a little. But the annoying part is the paperwork that they'll have to do after moved it to live in new area. I'm so happy that this don't discourage them and they will keeps her!
About the news that the whole world is talking about, I think Europe is more worried about the supposed chemicals attack and possibility for world conflict.

Gray but not bad here today and we're happy to have filed our taxes. Well, happy that it's done anyway. Friend called while I was writing this and I've lost my train of thought.

Hoping for good or better day for all.
