It is Monday and it is gonna be a good day!!! My stitches are coming out!! I can't wait. Hopefully, this also means no more bandage, no more waterproof bandage cover, no more restrictions and foot elevations. I need to be able to go outside and do some yard work and gardening. I neeeeeeeeeeed to.

OTOH- I just had a bit of a heart attack. Cait came downstairs to ask if I could help her find Livvie. She is the sneaky, naughty rat of the trio. She was in the cage but Cait couldn't find her anywhere and was freaked out. I think I climbed the stairs a bit too quickly cuz now I am feeling it. Turned out that Liv had found a way to crawl underneath the fleece that lines their cage. It is all Velcroed down tight but she found a tiny hole and squeezed in. But yeah- ankle isn't too happy with me ATM.

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I was able to scrap the Lyric Challenge. It was a lot of fun working with the lyric generator. If you haven't done that one yet, you should give it a try.
Scott ended up going to Leah's last night when he got back to NJ. She is going away for a couple of days and he wanted to see her. (instead of us *sniff sniff* hahaha!!!) So tonight we will get to hear about the conference.

Other than that, I have nothing else planned for today or the rest of the week. Even if the Dr clears me to resume cleaning, I am going to hold off another week or so. I have been known to overdo it and set myself back (who me?) so I am going to be smart for a change.
It is also BFFs surgery and I am a bit nervous about that. I asked her DH to text me when she gets home and settled in.

I better go get some b-fast. xoxoxo!

Trudy- I will never understand why men need to do that, either with the TV or the lights. Were you able to get some painting done? What colors this time? Those wood canvases seem like something that your Gary could make. Is looked like raw wood?

Nancy- sounds like the NHL is having some growing pains with coaches. *fingers crossed that the Devils get some good draft placement and picks*
Your Alaska pages are phenomenal! Love seeing them in the Gallery.

Morning ladies... A bit of a cloudy morning here today. DH is home with me all week as he prepares for his eye surgery to remove the cataract. I don't envy him! I don't think I would like anyone messing around with my eyes and cutting into them :fear: I know that it is a simple surgery and he will see much better when it is done! Who knows I might have to have it done myself one day :mmph: Anyway he will be driving me nuts all week and will be underfoot, but I love the guy and I will have to try to have patience with him :gaah: wish me luck LOL. Yesterday I got lots of housework done and then spent some time outside as I re-painted the cute little bench we put up in the corner of our backyard garden. It looks brand new again. Today will be some more picking up of branches and pine cones etc. The wind blew most of the day yesterday, so we decided to wait until today to get that job done. Hopefully the weather cooperates with us. I tried to do a painting yesterday, but it was an epic fail and looked like a big pool of mud, so I scraped that all off the canvas and will try again sometime later on in the day.

Chris - Hooray!!! The stitches come out today! :bliss: I hope that you are a good patient and don't overdo it when they are out!! :nono: Yes the wood canvases are made from raw birch and pine, my Gary is not committing to doing anything in the way of wood work for me until his eye is good to go, he probably wouldn't be able to cut a straight line with his eye the way it is right now LOL. So I will just have to wait for bit. I saw that you got the Lyric Challenge done yesterday and so I will need to get to the gallery and get you some love! Good plan to stay away from your cleaning job for a bit, no need to risk infection or hurting yourself! Hope that you will hear about the conference today! Nice that Scott wanted to spend time with his sweety! That darn crafty little Livvie!! Giving you both a scare like that, glad that you found her!!

Nancy - So good to hear that you are able to get out for lovely walks with Luther again!! I bet it feels so good to you too!! I will get to the gallery to see your Alaska pages, good for you for getting them done! I still haven't finished the pages from our trip to Paris and its almost a year since that happened. I have too many things on the go LOL. I hope that you continue to enjoy the hockey playoffs, sorry that your Devils are not part of the fun! Not sure how long the Bruins will last, sure hope no one gets injured!!

Ok I really need to get a new Avatar posted and put away my cute little kitten, I will miss his sad little face!! Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

Morning, gals. Have to be a short in and out... have to take my SUV in to have the catalytic converter replaces. Got a recall notice on it last week. Will get a ride home and then back to the shop when it is done. Hopefully it won't take all day.

DD#1 and family invited me out to dinner last night. Went to Texas Roadhouse... good food but oh, so noisy with music turned up to "Blasting the Eardrums" loud. We couldn't even hear each other talking. Still it was nice to see the family. I was so glad to be back home to peace and quiet again. Invited them all to come over for American Hot Tamales [aka cabbage rolls with a punch of spice] next Sunday evening. Stopped at the grocery store on the way home - but couldn't find any tomato juice for the tamales. This is the 2nd store that didn't have any in stock. Ask at the service desk and they didn't have a clue either!!! Will check another store on the way home this afternoon.

Gotta run.... CYL

good day - been a busy one already, being home in case I need to get something for the tax accountant but fortunately that did not happen. So a quick trip to the grocery store to and now home for a relaxing afternoon before going to therapy and dinner. I have been having such fun with Alaska photos. Thanks for all the nice compliments.

Chris so glad the stitches are coming out. Do not over do! That is amazing how those rats can just squeeze their bodies into such small spaces. Glad she had not escaped! That is so cute that Scott went to see his sweety! Enjoy being outside!

Trudy sorry that the painting did not work out. But glad that you can just start over! I know what you mean about having your MG underfoot. I know having my DH home it just messes with what I planned that day. Have fun with your back yard!

Kay how wonderful to be invited out to dinner. I have been only once to a Road House while in AZ as they are not out eat. It was loud but the birthday singing was fun. That is crazy you cannot find tomato juice. Do you think V8 could substitute? My sister has found a place in Phoenix that she says makes the best tamales. I miss my Mexican food!

Waving to all!

Have a great day!

Hello girls,
cloudy and rainy day here, but right now this contrast of gloomy sky and green fields, with blooming tulips between them is soo pretty!
Can you keep a secret? I was not cleaning through the weekend. We start the Spring cleaning now. Are you been on place where is really dirty? Your first reaction are helpless tears, but then you start methodically, slowly and concentrate to rub till all is shine again. I love this feeling, so I wanted to resemble something like that, and with the mud outside I was pretty close! When I think for god, I think it must be woman, even more concrete it must be little girl. A spoiled little girl bored from her toys. But this is different topic. What I was trying to say, is that perhaps God is give to humans wish to clean, to deceive us that we are able to control our present, our future and our happiness. The whole world outside can be madness, but in this concrete moment you mastering your little kingdom. I wish to was able to get few free days, so to be concentrate only on the Spring cleaning (which is in big part laundry :washing: and rearrange of thick winter fabrics with their summer brothers), but unfortunately will have to do it on parts after work.

Chris, I seriously doubt that no stitches is means back to normal. it's more likely most of the restriction will continued for a while. I hope they allows you to gardening. At least you can try to lift your leg on garden lounge chair ;) . Be good and be patient! Hooray for the scraped page, hope that's mean your creativity is back! Healthy wish for your Bfriend! Great that the rat story have a happy end!
Hmm, I'm not familiar with "Whiskey Cavalier", but it looks like interesting TV series. I have not heard Scott Foley to came here, but who knows. We actually often partners to Hollywood action productions. Selena Gomez' "Getaway" is placed at our capital, and Antonio Banderas movie "Automata" (in my opinion, best version of robot's future movie), also is filmed here, but don't actually shows our nature, that desert was specially created place. We have mountains which finished on the beach, and this mix of architecture without patterns, buildings from different eras are neighbors on some places. Especially in this season and autumn is very beautiful to travel.

Nancy, your Alaska album is gorgeous! Do you plan to print it for yourself only or as a family gift? Amazing photos. Have fun on the dinner (if I'm got it right, it's a night out)!

Trudy, hope your inspiration is back and you are able to do this painting later! I totally understand your worries about the surgery of your husband, fingers crossed all to be well! Oh, at this time gardens takes so much time, but will worth it later.
You have my sister's admiration too, she liked your paintings so much! Your store is turn so well too, she liked the number and angle of your photos! And she suggested that the title have to be repeated on first place in your tags and then to add the others words, this match make it easy for the searching algorithm. I guess that delivery taxes is what worries you, but in future you should considering the worldwide delivering. Good luck!

Kay, yes it's annoying when in restaurant is noisy as a bar, but still nice to be out! Your Sunday's plan sounds tempting and hope to find tomato juice and all be as you want it! We just got few bottles, I wish we was able to share!

Karen, glad that Joey is doing well and being so good! Oh, so on english it's called 'cone of shame' ?! No surprise they don't want it ;) , we call it Elizabeth's Collar.

zanthi, great that you won something, even if the egg hunt was boring than you expected!

Got a call that the car was ready about an hour ago. The courtesy shuttle picked me up within 15 minutes. Picked up the car and made a quick stop at WM. YES.... they had canned tomato juice - 48oz size that I needed. I got the last 2 cans they had!!! Not sure what is going on with that. I would have substituted V-8 if I had to do so - but it gives it a different flavor. I add Louisiana Hot Peppers to the gravy as it cooks for the spicy kick. I still need to go by the bread store and get some dinner rolls and also need more bread. Will get that closer to the end of the week. Think I will make a fresh fruit salad to go with that dinner.

Suppose to go to my Red Hat Chapter lunch tomorrow but am really feeling blue - today is the 15 month anniversary of hubby's death. Hope I am in a better mood tomorrow. Tried to read but can't seem to get involved with any of the books today. Tried watching DVD movie but couldn't stand to sit still for it.

Can't believe it... it is 79 this afternoon! Feels like summer. But won't last as we have storms coming in Wed/Thurs with the possibility of rain/sleet/snow & back in the 40's-50's again by Friday.

Going to put some music on and see if that helps me settle down. I will be so glad when this day is done.

Hi all. Just popping in to say Hi
Nothing of great interest here except maybe I cleaned the whole house. Earth shattering news I know. lol
I am hoping to go off with a friend for a quick coffee soon. That's my excitement.
Felis:
Your English is really good but I understand that certain phrases would not be familiar to you. It isn't an easy language to learn!
The "cone of shame" is a reference to the movie "UP". If you get a chance to see it please do so. It is an animated film (cartoon like) but it has a very warm and thoughtful meaning. It has dogs in it that wear the collar and refers to it as the 'cone of shame'.
I have never heard of Elizabeth's collar unless E-collar is a shortened version of that.
