Well, today you will see me sad and Nana cheering her butt off!!! Spring Break is over for both of us, but I bet that Nana will be happily waving and blowing kisses to her little ones. Me-- I was not so happy to have to get out of bed with my alarm. Even if I wake up at the same darn time on vacation, it is so much nicer to be able to just lie there for a bit.

On the good side-- I hear the birds chirping like crazy! Forecast is for 65* and sunshine!!! Wooo hooo!!! Maybe that will give me enough motivation to get the crappy house work done fast so I can get out in my (muddy) yard. That really gives me something to look forward to.

Yesterday I had a bad head day and it only got worse as i tried to make my photo book for Christopher, my godson. I decided to use Winkflash since they have a 50% coupon for first time customers. (Thanks nana for the tip!). I forgot about clipping on full bleed pages. Shutterfly seems top be much more forgiving with that. I downloaded their Full Bleed template, resized/rearranged all of the pages, re-uploaded everything, and I still have a few pages that are going to get a bit clipped. It is what it is, I just can't deal with re-doing everything and chances are, no one will notice but me. Maybe.

I had posted my complaining on FB and found out that I am not the only one who feels that way! LOL

However, for anyone new to scrapping and photo books- this is why you should keep your layered files. You can always resave them as jpgs, but once they are flattened-- they are done.

Ok, that's about all I got for a Monday Morning!

Me Me Monday:
Playing in the mud!!!!!!

Love to all!

From Sunday's Oooos!

Nana-- So happy that you and Mike got some alone time and a great meal/drinks too boot. I feel the same as Mike-- why should I pay $6 for a glass of wine when I can buy the whole bottle for $12? (Or in my case, my box o' wine for $18!!!!). But as my kids would say YOLO. ;)

Linda- OMG, those are horrible hours for you. I mean, Brian. I mean both of you having to deal with that.... *fingers crossed and good thoughts being sent*
I bet the deeper you dig for info onthe casino, the dirtier it is going to get :( I hate to sound so cyncial, but it just seems that unless you have lots of money and power, you will never get heard-- at any level of gov't. Same type of crud going on my my town (although not with a casino!!!)

Nancy- don't I know it! Even within my town we have strange weather patterns- it can be raining on one end of town, snowing in the middle and raining again, then go Up the Mountain and its a blizzard ;) We run 3-5* colder than Parsippany which is 40 mins from me.
Sorry to hear about the Devils-- maybe they are saving it all up for those last 10 games??

Laurie- ahhhh! The joys of well water! Your water sounds like mine. Very hard and LOTS of iron.

Phyllis- Gary wants to install a reverse-osmosis filter on our water. I don;t know anything about them except that it looks expensive (heh, the Dollar Store looks expensive tome these days *snorts!*). Do they make a big difference? We have a filter on the house, plus a filter on the sink faucet for drinking water. Is it worth the investment for a reverse-osmosis?

TRUDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When can I move in????????????
Thank you sooo much for sharing these!!!!!! They really brightened my morning!!!!!!

Kristi- so cute!!!!

to all of you reading this-- xoxoxo

So I thought that yesterday was going fairly smoothly. Until...Syd and I had just gone to Dad's to take him grocery shopping. He had gotten in the car and Syd had gotten out to stay and shoot baskets with my niece when my phone buzzes. It was a friend asking if I wanted her to pick Syd up for soccer practice!

Seriously???!!!! I had forgotten soccer practice. So I kicked Dad out of the car (without groceries) and ran back home to feed Syd (and the rest of the family) so she could get to soccer practice on time.

I have lost my mind!

((hugs)) to you all! Hope that everyone has a wonderful Monday!

Trudy, how can you have such beautiful spring...while the rest of us have...ugh....

I must admit, I smelled spring in the air this morning. And I loved it.

Thanks for the good thoughts Chris. They are much appreciated!

:pound: Yes...I am cheerying my head....I think.... BOTH kids woke up every hour (of course, not at the same time) so I was up almost all night long....and I am a VERY cranky Nana this morning....I think it was a couple of issues...seeing their Mom this week, several days of this week, has really brought up the old memories in them...it's been sad actually....and the change of schedule...back to bed early....hopefully tonight will be much better....if not....I will just

Okay...I had to google YOLO....:pound: according to google this is something new the kids have started....but they are right..........and this is why I buy my expensive drinks when I go out to eat :becky:

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD NEWS!!!!! Today we finally..finally..finally start counseling!!!! All the places I tried to get them in the last 18 months, one of them finally has openings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go today for the first initial visit for them both to fill her in on everything and do all the paperwork....I guess this is good timing with them starting to see their Mom a lot.

Okay...better go take a quick nap so I can get back up and get ready....I can't make without any sleep at all...............

good morning they say it is to get to 70s today and low 80s tomorrow - how funny is that but back down to 50s by end of week. so I get 2 days of spring. I will take them. It is good to hear the birds early in the morning. My Devils lost again this time in a shoot out. My sons are bummed but me I know you cant win every year. LOL Have to go to the grocery store today which I truly dislike. OH well we must eat.

Chris and Nana oh I remember both sides of having a vacation over. Some years I wanted them back and some years I really enjoyed having them home. Nana glad you are getting them counseling - glad it finally worked out! Hope you get some sleep!

Linda - glad you got her to practice. Those things happen.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning ladies.. It was very chilly last night, but the sun is out this morning and I hope to get in a walk today. A very busy day yesterday, but I think I got my resume all done, just a bit of tweaking on the cover letter. I kept thinking as I was doing it that this is not right, I should be retiring, not looking for another dam job!! Oh if only there weren't any bills to pay!! Then I wonder, would I really be happy just staying at home? Yes I think I would!! Secretly I hope I don't get this job, but then in the next breath I hope I do. Does that sound crazy :loco: Is it quilt? :sorry: I am rambling again aren't I :tape:

Chris - Glad that I brightened your day! Trying to send you some springtime weather to go with the photos!! Not sure why we are so lucky to have all this spring wonderfulness while the rest of the country is still waiting patiently for it? Normally it is :rain: :rain: and more :rain: this time of year.

LindaS - Did you end up taking your dad for groceries later? Don't feel bad about forgetting soccer practise, I forget all kinds of things and did when I was much younger with my kids too. I think that you just have way to much going on in your life!! Keep fighting the good fight with that Casino! :boxing: Why is there always something crooked going on with politicians ? Its usually all about money, greed and power!! Wouldn't it be refreshing to actually have someone decent in charge!! Glad that you at least smelled some spring in air yesterday, hopefully it is on its way to you!!

Nana Linda - Ohhh that is so awful that the kids were up all night!! I sure hope that you can catch a good nap today!! So glad that you finally get to see the counsellor today! Its about bloody time!!! Hopefully the kids will be tuckered out from school and you can all get to bed early!! I gotta say that every time I see your avatar it makes me giggle!!

Kristy - How come your kids had such a short spring break? Do they get time off at another time in the spring?

Nancy - Sorry your devils lost, my bruins are not doing so great either and hubby is bummed that they lost against those darn Montreal Canadians!!! He hates them!! But like you say, they can't win every year!! Enjoy your 2 days of spring, hope it turns into many more!!

Well better get some breakfast and fill up my coffee cup, I have some yard work to do and some scrapping to get to this morning. Have a great Monday everyone, like Phylis says do something you love!! BTW  hi Phylis wherever you are!!

nope that's just how it is here....I am assuming they get more days off during the year? we are in the country so all the schools are on the same schedule because they do not break the buses up into schools but areas so you got kindy to high school on each bus...so when one school is off for "teacher" days they all are off...so they get quite a few days off during the year and they almost always have at least 2 days off a month

chris: I know the feeling, even though I don't get out of bed most days, I remember the feeling until a few years back! the birds are a good plus :)

The thing with bleeding made my head in for long time, I found a place that is quiet cheap for us here in the UK called Photobox, you can resize the page inside their editor to make it fit, hardly ever get stuff cut of…only now I have no money to print LOL but yes, I keep all my layered files…..

LSlycord (shame on me with name still, are you LInda or Lindsay?) LOL at kicking your dad out of the car…don't worry about that memory little thing….I can't remember if I took my pills as fast as 15 minutes after I took them….some weeks I get it together and put them in those pill containers where you can count how many are left…therefore I know if I did or not LOL I also watched a movie for 20 minutes without remembering I had watched it, until Nathalie Portsman came in and I thought…mmmm I ve seen this?! still couldn't remember what happened next LOL I take it with humour….at least until the neurologist tell me to start worrying ….
that's open of the reasons I sometimes don't post much here, I tried reading and trying to follow, but my brain doesn't hold stuff for long, I'm being seen but my doctor thinks is all the tress I ve had lately...

Linda: I get it that the kids live with you now? are they your grandchildren? anyway, happy to hear counselling is at hand, I worked with foster kids for a while, and counselling, paired with LOVE (which am sure you are giving in tons) gets some of them to have a great life…. whilst where there is no psychological help at all…I ve seen some dark, sad people in my life… :(
LOL @ YOLO… yes, I have to ay I have lived all my life with that motto…..
hope you can get some sleep Huggggzzz

KIliki, you girls are gorgeous, always admiring your signature :) glad you had a quiet one! :)

nancyr: I always have to make the conversation to Celsius and fail…but I get is not that cold? know nothing about sports, but yes, you can't win all the time!
Funny thing, I have problems getting to the supermarket and paying…but love all the in between of grocery shopping LOL

taxed4ever (shame again on me I should know your name by now, I know your LOs though!) my mum is 75 and still works, we can't make her stop, she is ill and needs to slow down, but she says she wouldn't have anything to do and kill my dad therefore LOL but I know how one can feel after lots of hard work when is to pay bills :( hope you get something that goes middle of the way? say, a part time job that pays really well, in something you love? there is always hope, and positive thinking gets us there sometime….
I have always had relatively free jobs or doing what I loved, so it was frustrating when the operations in 2003 onwards failed and I had to stop working… I was 43…
but here is wishing you all the best luck with a job that will suit (or a lottery win yeah!!!)

So, about me? I went out today again yay!!!! drove to the supermarket with my daughter, she went in to do the shopping as it was just a few basics, but I was out and is sunny, and I didn't pass out…

I'm still so happy about the show on Friday…seeing my daughter on stage always makes me cry, but this time was super special, a musical I played for a year, and something that relates to my story , my parents live now in Argentina and I lived there a few times, so I know quiet a lot about the story of Evita, which is not exactly what Lloyd Webber paints…. found a bunch of movies and musicals in YouTube about Evita, in Argentina Lloyd Webber's Evita was never allowed to play… they even have a Peronista government now (Evita was Eva Duarte, married Peron, 3 times president of Argentina, elected by 3 quarters of the population)
anyway, I m going back on wednesday for the last show, and I will have more photos, even maybe a recording if any of you like musicals :)
Hope everyone is doing well, am in a good mood…
I will start another thread about that so I don't take too much space here, but I'm amazed with the good will of all of you here…

hi Ho! it's me, back from an annoying grocery trip. sample: i stood a the deli counter for 10 minutes. there was a guy on the phone behind the counter. flagged someone down in the prepared foods dept. to ask whether there was anyone available to WAIT on me. the guy on the phone said to THAT guy:I'm on the PHONE! so the other guy went to get the deli manager. and on and on we went. well, there's 20+ minutes of my life i'll never get back. man, do i hate to start the day of being annoyed.
well, at least it's almost 70 degrees here. WOOT!!! :cheer2:

Chris, i rarely do books. there used to be this little company whose name i forget at the moment where you just plopped your page into the program and it took up the whole page and was great. i use Blurb when i make books now. last time i figured out an easy way to get the whole page to show, but it's been so long forget what i did!!

Nana, WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! glad the kiddos are back in school. hope you're sleeping right now.

Linda, your memory lapse made me laugh. hA!! i wrote "MOMery" first and had to go back and correct it. come to think of it, that's the PERFECT word for what happens to us. our memory turns into MOMERY: trying to keep too many balls in the air and forgetting all about one thing or another.

Mrs. P, where was your daughter performing? a school? a professional venue? aren't musicals just THE BEST??!!

Kristy, sound like thngs are going smoothly, even with your Hubby gone!

Trudy, hope you don't get the bank job either! :becky:  believe me, if you could get your Hubby to be out of the house a lot, you would really enjoy being home.

today i'm doing laundry. AND i actually put a few screens in some of my windows to let in the outside air. the cat is loving it. he's sitting on his window perch, sniffing the air and enjoying the sunshine. yes. SUNSHINE. the weatherman goofed again....

hope your day is going well, O-zies. like Trudy said that I said: do something you love. and insist that someone ELSE in your family does something nice for YOU. hmmmmm. as if.... :twitch:

Just popping in to say good night, here the day is almost over and I don't want to go to bed to late. Tomorrow we will get the results of the IQ tests of Luc and Nik and I'm a bit nervous so a bit less chatty today because of that.

hugs for you all and I'll come back tomorrow and catch up!

lOve the O!
good evening my friends- time got away from me this am- I did do my workout, but wanted to get to work early, I did get in a little early. I guess it was warm here- tough to tell inside a building- especially when you spend 2 hours in a basement room learning about error prevention- it was actually very informative. Now to try to have enough energy to clean up before I go to bed early. Another day tomorrow. Trudy- I think I should like to not work. But I also think it will be a long time before I get to make that choice.

I'm late to the game today!!

Been busy working all day. Finally took time tonight to just sit and go through a couple of galleries and leave comments. Man, I have missed being around here and have really missed my time scrapping and taking pictures.

Laurie--you inspire me. I really need to get back to working out. I'm hoping once my mom gets out of the hospital I'll have time.

Phyllis- you just crack me up lady! You are putting on screens--I'm putting on my AC! I would have been hacked waiting at the deli counter while the imbecile was on the phone.

Linda--I can just see you kicking your dad out of the car!! LOL!!

Nana--congrats on the kids being back in school. I don't miss those days.

Trudy--I want to retire. I won't be bored. I have to work to pay bills too. That's just the way the ball bounces. Oh well......

I'm off to the hospital tomorrow to see my mother and meet with her "care team." Will be a long day.

Night!
