Good morning! How is everyone?

I was so happy to not have to get up at 5am today. whew!
Yesterday was a nice day but it did take a lot out of me. We had a really nice b-fast with my parents, the kids and their SO's. My mom-- she is so silly sometimes! I don't remember some of the things she said, but she had us all laughing. It is hard because she is not *trying* to be funny but some of the things she says-- they make no sense!
She was trying to tell us a story about a birthday party my nephew was at, and the mom had made sure there were no peanuts (he has a peanut allergy). Then there was something about the b-day boy's 8 yp brother... Christopher was eating a cupcake and went red in the face and was having trouble breathing so my SIL rushed him to the bathroom with his epi-pen. Then all of that drama came to a crashing halt b/c it had nothing to do with peanuts but a Hershey Kiss that was in the cupcake.
:noidea:

She has never been a good story teller in that she leaves out critical bits, and details irrelevant ones. But this one was crazy. It would have been a great example is a writing class on what not to do.
Although I have to admit, I do the same. tee hee!

By the time my parents left, I was pretty darn pooped out. I prepped a few things for dinner, then put my feet up for an hour or so. Then by the time I started cooking-- I was a shaking mess again. Gary saw me struggling in the kitchen (great Male Timing, they always come to help when everything is DONE!!! *wink* ) and hooked me up to my saline IV literally while I was standing in the kitchen at the stove -- too funny! The oven was beeping the microwave was beeping and I am trying to stand still as he connects my line. All I could think, was don't burn the fish! :fish:
B/c I started so late, I wasn't done until 10 pm. Gary helped me roll into the bedroom and we watched TV in there together. I told him this morning how it really helps me feel better. (No shaking ATM! Yay!!) and what I have been reading, it is better to do saline therpay on a regular basis *before* it gets critical. He has been telling me that since Day One, so I admitted *cough* that I was stupid.
I am going to have to schedule these better.

Today I am going to take it easy. I still have to clean my office, but I hope to scrap, I have some really cute photos of my nephew that are calling to me.

What good plans do you have today?

Chris, I have a friend who cannot tell a story. I dread asking her a question because I know it will lead to a long narrative that makes no sense to me. She goes off on rabbit trails, tells things out of order, leaves out important details, and includes minutia that has no connection. I've learned to NOT ASK for clarification because that leads to even more confusion! But I love her dearly, so I smile and nod.

Still no news about the kids' house deal.

Plans for today? Laundry. Scrapping. (I'm a guest CT for Romy for a couple months, so having a blast playing with her wonderful art.) Drinking coffee.

HI - good afternoon - I am way late. Note sure why. But I actually got up late and then went to sorting laundry and looking at spring clothes. Found a small camera I forgot I had LOL. Then I watched the new episode of Outlander. I love this show. But darn now I have to wait another week. Had a lovely time time at the in-laws for Easter dinner. The food and company was really fun.

Chris glad your Easter was nice. Funny about your mom!

Sharon have fun as a guest CT.

Have a great day all!

Good morning ladies... I was MIA yesterday as we were outside all day working on the retaining wall that needed finishing from 3 years ago!!! Yes three years I have been waiting for DH to finish this part of the backyard and it is finally done!! It looks great and now we just have to get some nice new soil and plant some pretty things there.

Chris - You really need to take better care of yourself sweetie!! Make sure you don't push yourself so darn hard!! Hope I get to see some of your scrapping today!

Sharon - You are such a nice friend for not saying anything to your bad story telling friend!! My hubby does that sometimes when telling a story, he goes off on rabbit trails and never finishes sentences!! It drives me crazy, and I usually have to say, slow down and finish the sentence PLEASE!!!

. I see that you posted a question about linking to a designers kit I will try to explain as best I can, but I have a Mac and I think you are a PC girl. So I will go to the thread to try to explain to you...

Nancy - I love the Outlander series too, DH also watches with me and yes it will be torture to have to wait another week for the next episode!! How fun to find a camera you forgot you had, hope it takes great photos for you!!

Gotta got and help DH with her computer problems again!! Talk later and hope you all have a great day!

Speaking of tv shows...we just watched an episode of "Call the Midwife" from a week or two ago. OMG! I CRIED! Cannot remember EVER crying over a tv show! The storyline was about a little boy who was trying to take care of his 3 little sisters, including a baby, while their mother would be gone for days. The really hard part was that the little boy was so much like one of our DGSs, I found it impossible to not project! My eyes are welling up with tears AGAIN. Now I'm also curious to find out more about the program England had in place to send orphans to Austrailia.

Thanks Trudy, for any help you can be. Yes...I'm PC.

Good Afternoon O fam- had a wonderful Easter dinner with DS and his gf. I worked at not trying to take over the planning and meal prep. This morning we went and looked at 3 different for sale by owner houses nearby. Found one we really liked, however, I am not sure this is the right time for us to move closer to our son. Will research it to find out. Other than that, I am tired from not eating my typical foods the past few days.
