Good morning, O-Fam! The weekend felt like a blur to me. Was it the same for you? Not that anything exciting happened, never that. :/
I am in desperate need of nice weather. This cold spell is not helping my mood whatsoever, not one little bit. At least the sun is out for now. That makes it look warmer than it is, for what that is worth

I basically moped around the house- laundry, cleaned my desk/filing, and started the food shopping list. I have two more pages to scrap for Christopher's album and all I did yesterday was trash version after version of one that I am trying to make. All I have left of it is a white, wrinkled paper with two photos on it. That took me an hour and a half. Ha! What a waste of time. *eye roll*

I have to finish up the food shopping today as I am going to be out all day tomorrow for my mom's Dr appt. My mini-project is to clean out the fridge and one of the cabinets so I have a better idea of what I need. This is the last full week that Scott will be home for dinners since he will be working until 8 pm Sun-Wed. Cait isn't here on M and Th b/c of school so maybe that will make it easier?? Probably not, I'll just confuse myself more LMAO!

@LSlycord wasn't that dancing duck adorable? Seriously, what a long road it has been for Scott, health-wise. I will never forget sitting at one of his IEP meetings and the coordinator asking him what he wanted to do after graduation and him saying that he wanted to be a hobo and live in a box. He really didn't see himself being able to do anything at that point in time. What a blessing to have him do something he loves.
It is very hard thinking of your kids growing up with so many uncertainties in the world. But you have been a great parent and will continue to guide them through it.
How nice to have your friend visit! It is awful but when Caitlyn told me that she and Tom were going to grab something for dinner on their own last night, I was very relieved about having to make a vegan friendly dinner too :D
Did you get all of the travel planning done that you wanted to do? Are the kids getting very excited??

@BrightEyes How long will DD#1 be staying with you? How wonderful to have them together, it has been a while since it was just the three of you in the house? Gary's parents invited us down for dinner soon and we have no idea when the kids will be around. They said for just the two of us to come, and I asked Gary when the last time just the two of us were there. He said probably before we had kids LOL!
(I read another line -- DD#1 left last night, I should read the entire post before I comment.) I hope Chari is able to work for a bit today.

@tanteva Yup, I can relate to your feelings about organizing. I crave that stability but never seem able to actually accomplish it. Yeah-- knit and watch silly TV. We watched Mr. Jones last night (a movie about Stalin and the Holodomor - it had been on my to-watch list since well before all of this mess) and I shouldn't have. It mashed up with what is happening currently in my dreams last night. No wonder I didn't sleep well. :( At least when we watch The Walking Dead tonight it won't be related to current events. hahah!!

@taxed4ever what the HECK!!!??? Did you want to shake your FIL when he said that he wanted to buy the condo as a rental?? Oh my gawd!!!!! What was he thinking? *slaps forehead*
Do you think that they will realize that they should move closer or are you giving up on that idea for now? What a mess. I hope that your Gary and his sister can get this straightened out, PoA might be a really smart idea to do too.

@Cherylndesigns look at the sweet babies in the pack and play <3 Adrienne's cat is cracking me up! Thanks for the photo, it did cheer me up.
The Red Fern Festival sounds like it will be so much fun- and how cool that Ava is going to have a booth with the BF. Cait and Tom are opening an Etsy shop together, they have been working hard on getting products stocked. He has been drawing up designs and she has been printing them out with the Cricut. My fav so far is two ravens that form a heart.
I had to look up flintknapper-- I had no idea what that was, I am going to ask Scott about it tonight :)

Eva-- I am going to listen to that video when I get my b-fast! THX!!

Morning everyone! Another very soggy morning, but it looks like it will be a half decent day for our hike on Wednesday. (So far at least). The weather forecast seems to change hourly LOL. Yesterday was pretty productive. I managed to get all the cleaning and laundry done. DH and I decided to hit one more Hardware Store in our quest for a new faucet and actually found one that we both liked and worked for his wine making. @faerywings this one is a Moen so if anything happens to it we know we can get it replaced, thanks!! The old one was a make I had never heard of before. So DH spent time in the afternoon getting that all replaced. What an exciting Sunday right?! Oh and I put my bread maker up for sale yesterday and sold it within an hour. No sense in me having one anymore, I can't eat bread or grains and now DH doesn't eat bread anymore either. The young lady that bought it is picking it up this afternoon. It always surprises me how quickly things sell on Marketplace!!

@faerywings - Sounds like you had a bit of a frustrating day yesterday with your scrapping! I hate it when layouts don't come together quickly or turn out like you wanted. Sure hope that you have better luck today! As for FIL?? What can I say? I would have liked to have seen the look on my face when he told us his plan LOL. I think my jaw must have hit the floor!!

SIL Linda phoned us yesterday to tell us that they have made an appointment at the Bank to have financing in place in case they find a place that they love and can put in an offer, but not to use as a rental to move into. It will be interesting to see what happens next! I think he needs to be accessed by a doctor to see if he truly is starting to lose his mind!! LOL.

@tanteva - Have you got your new machine set up and running yet?? I can't wait to see what you make with it! Ugh on the fresh dump of snow!! Love your layout though!
Well Heather will most likely be calling soon, I can't wait to hear what she has to say about the craziness of our weekend! Have a great Monday everyone!

About the weather... got a memory from 3 years ago on Snapchat today. We were in Kalmar (south in Sweden), sitting outside of a pub, in the sun, having beer & cheese. Then I looked out through my window & saw the swirling snowflakes. Life's not fair.

Hi everyone. We are in the new house and starting to unpack now. They finally got the internet/tv set up last night. There is a ton to unpack and lots of furniture to buy but this part is so much more fun than the packing and purging at the old house :)

I will have limited online time for a few wks as we shop for furniture and unpack but at least I can get online each day for a bit and scrap a bit soon. So glad to be here in the house finally. I was so sick of hotels. I'll come back later. I'm getting dressed now, going to take the dogs to the end of our block, into the grasslands for a walk and then will come back to unpack the kitchen for awhile. then go furniture shopping for a few hours.

Busy but fun day. BFN. Hope all is well.

Good afternoon all! Rae @bcgal00 how exciting to be in your new house!! I agree with Lynn, those first steps are so exciting! I remember when I walked in here after it was all finished - the night before we moved in. I was SO excited!

It's yucky here today - raining and is supposed to all day. Very dark - I need to get my light on. Chris @faerywings I knew that picture would crack you up. Isn't that cat a riot? He's so weird and that's so unlike him, but he thinks he has to guard those pups. They were both sound asleep and kind of hard to see - laying on that dark mat. I lightened the picture up as much as I could.

I'm anxious to see if Scott knows what flintknapping is. Ryan (the bf) goes and hangs out with all these 90 year old Cherokee guys about once a week and they taught him how to do it. That's part of what they'll be selling in their booth - he makes things out of them. That's so cool that Cait and Tom are opening an Etsy shop! Be sure to share the name and link! I had a shop on there a few years ago - then started one on another platform.

Good to hear from everybody. I'm going to get off here and work on Kay's template - I started it last night. I just uploaded a pocket page, using Lynn's Botanical Blends, then realized it wouldn't work for her challenge. LOL That's SO me. Rules say "only Botanical Blend, and I don't think her pocket page would work. Oh well, I had fun creating it.

Watched the news tonight. I am kinda coldhearted/hardened and usually can handle the tough stuff. But tonight the images from Ukraina made me cry. Haven't cried watching the news since February 1986 (Sweden's prime minister was murdered), but ... there really isn't words, are there? Well, l did have some words for Mr Putler, but I can't write them here. I would get kicked out of Oscraps if I typed that kinda language.
