"Happy" Monday (???)
All I can say us that it is not good to start your day at 3am in a panic over finances. I don't know exactly what woke me up, but I must have been dreaming about money and immediately started worrying about what happens when Caitlyn turns 18 in Sept. As a Dependent. she gets money from Social Security that we use to pay bills. But in Sept, that goes *poof* and even if I am able to get clients and work again, it won't be enough to cover.
Gary always say not to worry, that it will all work out. i know the stress angle is no good for me, but how can I not worry? And no matter *what* you are worrying about, 3am is not a good time for any of it. LOL

It was nice seeing everyone for Grandma's birthday, although I think she was a bit overwhelmed. She was very quiet, but loved her chocolate cake.
Gary was able to come with us and that really made me happy and I know it meant so much to his parents.

I was supposed to be working today, but my client asked if I could come another day so i will be heading there on Friday. It is probably a good thing seeing how tired I am and then I have Cait's GI appt this afternoon. And we have to get Cait's car into the shop, hopefully today.

I did get a couple of cute pictures of the family yesterday so maybe some scrapping time will be on the table too.

Hugs to all!

From yesterday:

Laurie, I hope that snow is all gone! When we were driving to Grandma's, you could tell all of the cars on the highway that came from my area, they were the ones still with snow. We passed one car kind of far down and Gary joked, Yup that one must be from W Milford. Cait looks out the window and says- It's one of my teachers! hahaha!!!!

Nancy- when a nice day that must have been for you, some quiet time just you and Luther :)
Sorry that the wind and rain woke you, it was crazy up here too. I got 2 Alerts that roads were blocked b/c of downed trees and wires. Hope that your DS didn't have any trouble getting back home.
10 year anniversary! Congrats! Did the team have it better organized than some of the other fan events you had been too? Hope it was awesome!

Rae- that is soooo sweet about Taz and Icko! I always wonder about that too, if the dogs remember each other. One reason I would like it is the dog that J barks at on the street could go to the park and they could play together and get used to each others' scents.
poor Taz getting pooped out!
Your computer guy is a hero! and a genius :) Hope that you were able to get all of your stuff set up and are back scrapping on it. You are so luck to get good pics of Taz sitting still. I can usually get good ones of Ray, who will sit still, but Jaida photobombs them now. I have a really funny one that I should scrap one day. You can see Ray's legs against the sofa and Jaida's big nose right up against the camera.

Trudy- I told Gary that I was going to go ahead an get the paint for the table. I ask for so little (really, I do!!!) and i am going for it. I figured out the colors and the stores I have to get them at. Of course, they couldn't have all of it at one store. That would be too easy LOL Today I will research on exactly how to do it, and maybe tomorrow after my drs appt I can get what I need. Thank you so much for your help!
I would imagine that the pollen/congestion would make the vertigo worse. I hope that the meds helps quickly. I bet the weird weather doesn't help either.
Poor Heather getting more snow, but I bet Mason was happy to see it.

Rae- lazy days can be so nice, and I bet Haddie loves the sunny spot. So she snores really loudly? That is too cute!

I better get going, I have a feeling it is gonna be a slow moving day. And I guess I am back to getting the car warmed up too.

Morning O's. Chris, wasn't Cait car just in the shop?! LOL Mmmm .... chocolate cake (I'll dream of that while I sit here and munch on baby carrots with hummus).

Anyone watch The Walking Dead season finale last night? I can't remember if there are fans here of the show. OMG, now I have to wait like 6-7 months to find out what happened?!?! :faint2::help:

good morning - well we are having plumbing challenges in both bathrooms at the same time. What a pain. poor Luther in his crate to keep him calm and it seems to be working really well. Not what I was hoping to be doing this am but since it is rainy as guess that ok. We have not had to change the fixtures in bathroom in over 40 years so I guess it is time LOL. My Devils function was very nice. Just breakfast and talking to other fans. We got gifts and photo opps. And the food was pretty good! Came home and enjoyed Luther but the cold and wind was just the pits.

Chris so glad the day went well with Grandma's. Sorry you woke up worrying! I am sure it is scary. Glad you have a day of rest!

Kat my son and his girlfriend are die hard WD fans. He too was shocked at the ending.

Rae so glad that you dog and his former friend remembered each other. Sounds like they had lots of fun!

Trudy funny how men can be so set and sometimes I think they don't have that ability to see the vision. Glad your Gary came around!

Have a great day all!

*** that moment when you get offered popcorn and think sure, why not ... and as you're eating, you remember you still have a sensitive, scratchy throat ... and the mere passage of just a few pieces of popcorn down your throat triggers a huge coughing fit that has coworkers wondering if you're okay ***

Good morning, ladies. I'm heading off for my first consult appt with a new family doctor (finally, as they had rescheduled twice). Hope I like her. I've only had 3 doctors in my life and I don't like having to start with someone new.

Chris - glad you had a new visit with grandma and she enjoyed her cake. I'll pray that Gary is right and the finances will all work out somehow. I worry about stuff like that too. We have a fair bit of cash coming in (but not as much now that I'm part time) but we also have lots going out so it's always a struggle and we live pay cheque to pay cheque.

Kat - ya, I would do that with the popcorn too LOL. I'd be coughing and choking it down, regardless :)

Nancy - we dealt with plumbing issues lately too. We need to pull the tub insert out and repair a wall where there was a leak down the wall into the basement. That's going to be a big job. Not looking forward to it at all.

I'm heading out now to my appointment, then home to work and off to walk the dogs later in the afternoon. I think the day will fly by. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Morning ladies, windy here this morning, but the sun is shining now after a night of rain! Wish it could always just rain at night and then have sun during the day!! I don't want much do I?? Anyway we must have had a good plow wind come up from he lake as the house really shook for a couple of seconds and there are branches all over the place again grrr!!!
No notice of an earthquake, so I am assuming in was the wind!

Chris - Sorry that you woke up in such a state of panic!! I don't blame you, finances can be so stressful, but your Gary is right, no sense worrying about something that you have no control over. It will work out, and with the kids being older and able to have jobs etc. hopefully it will take some of the burden of paying for everything yourself off of you! Won't Cait be able to apply for some kind of assistance on her own? Disability assistance because of her lyme disease ? I saw your photos on Facebook of the birthday party, the cake looked awesome and the birthday girl looks great for being 90!! Glad that your whole family was able to attend, I bet you made an old gal very happy!! So glad that you are going ahead with your table painting, I am not sure I am thrilled with the side table re-do's although DH likes them go figure :becky:

Kat - DH and I are not fans of The Walking Dead, however DD and her man are huge fans, I will have to hear what she has to say about the season finale last night. I feel the same way when the Outland series ends, how can I live without being able to watch the next episode for so long!!! Luckily is starts again in a few days, its been a long 5/6 months!!

Nancy - Ugh, plumbing issues in both bathrooms!! That is terrible!! Hopefully you get to choose some really great new fixtures to update the look of them and fix the problems!! Nice that you had a good time at the Devils breakfast, what kind of gifts did you get? Sorry that your weather has taken a turn for the worst, hopefully warmer temps are on the way very soon for you and Luther to go walking in!

Rae - We cross posted again, but I opened a new window to see if you had been here yet :becky: Good luck with the new dr!! I hope you really like her!! It is awful to start over again with a new dr. I have had to do it every time we moved for DH's work, we transferred a lot and it was awful to have to get new dr's, new schools, new teachers, new hairdressers etc. etc. Yuck!! Glad those days are all over with! Have a wonderful day!!

Ok ladies, Heather is skyp-ing me so I gotta go :bolt: Have a wonderful Monday!!
