I was just saying how I cannot believe that April is almost over. Its like Spring hadn't gotten here until a few days ago so I felt like I was stuck in March. I am now terrified b/c May is around the corner and May is my Crazy Month. Birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, kid stuff, school stuff-- it all really piles up this month. Busy *and* expensive! eeeeep!

I was able to get a lot of yard work done the past few days and it hasn't been as bad this year as it usually is. Either I did a good job on fall clean-up or the weeds haven't really sprouted yet ;)

I am off to clean for my funny client today. I get such a kick out of cleaning there. Between her making me laugh and her 5 yo son having a crush on me, its a fun few house. If it were a bug house, I might feel differently since it would then take me forever to get through, but this house is small and cozy, so its more like hanging out and cleaning than working my butt off cleaning. Does that make sense?LOL

Do you remember the woman that I was supposed to clean for starting in March but we could never get it together becasue she kept getting sick? She passed away last week. Her daughter had called me a couple of weeks ago to say that Liz was in the hospital and then I heard that she had passed. So fast...... She was a really sweet woman. :(

Me Me Monday-- not sure if this counts as a Me Thing, but I hope to get some Scrap time in this afternoon. I have some CT work that needs to be done for the new May Challenges. So that is way up onthe To-Do list for sure.

Hope you all have a great one!

Working my way up from the bottom from yesterday so hopefully my comments make sense!

Trudy- my parents have a griddle on their grill and they use it all the time for sausage and pancakes. I will have to tell them to try bacon on it too.You are all making me :hungry:!

Cynthia- hugs back! Hope your head (and the rest of you) feels better!

Trudy- what book did you get? Your comment about Cait and the hairspray made me LAUGH!!! She uses those humungous bottles of hairspray so she usually doesn't carry it every where, but it was in her friend's backpack and they forgot about when they went in. hahah!!
It sounded like they did have a good time, even though they were far away from the stage.

Kristi- I bet that sleep felt GOOD!

*fingers in ears, chicken comes from the supermarket wrapped in plastic....chicken comes from the supermarket wrapped in plastic....*

:pound:

Laurie- good luck with the chicken wire! And I am following you now too :)

Phyllis- yup-- that was a huge win for me!! No cooking!!!LOL

Angela- our lake doesn't open until Memorial Day weekend (last weekend in May) isn't your weather still pretty cold? Brave kids, they will swim until they turn blue!!!

I think I am all caught up and now I gotta go deal with my kids and th eschool bus :D

lOve the O!
Morning O fam- I just finished my workout and checked to see how much weight I have lost between workout and paelo since Mid-Sept and it is 12 pounds. I can live with that. Up until Sept, I had been yoyoing so slowly losing works for me. Off to work for me- 4 days and lots to do before I leave for vacation. Please pray for my son- he is off to a job fair on the eastern side of the state. We had a good weekend once we got by Friday- that was a tense day. So still learning my new phone- but I am okay with that. Need to eat and run before work. Have wonderful days my O fam!! I have just ordered a compost bin for my gardening! Now off to work!

Chris, i think the weeds haven't really sprouted yet. sorry.... i keep telling Hubby that we need to get the mulch down NOW or i'm going to have to deal with a weed farm. no sign of mulch yet. it's a bit of a production here. we need many truckloads full of mulch, and my husband has to drive up and down the highway about 5 times, pick up the mulch, bring it here, then we spread it around bucket by bucket. NOOOOOOO fun!

Laurie, congrats on the weight loss. slow is good, right? you'd think i would lose some weight. i eat no grain, almost no carbs and haven't for about 7 years. i've actually GAINED weight!!

Trudy, we have such a low-tech gas grill that it never even occurred to me that your hubby was using a frying pan!! my brain is so Old School.

today i'm going to visit my mom's remaining two sisters. my two FUNNY Aunts. i hate to see them getting old. i've always liked them better than my own sisters. my older sister will be there today, too, so i can compare them again in my mind and reaffirm how great my Aunts are!

get your week off to a good start. whatever it takes! :becky:

super quick before bus stop run #2

sit ups- 4 sets/18-- slowly increasing! woot!
Bummer about my weight-- I had lost a couple of pounds but am now up again. :(
I know it is probably normal fluctuation but I tend to get obsessive about the number. Must be careful or I will get myself into trouble!

hugs!

Ow that's sad she past away Chris :(
Great you got a lot of yard work done! Good luck with cleaning today and I hope you'll have some time to scrap!
You're right, it still is cold here, but Ben didn't mind, he loves swimming :)

I'll pray for your son Laurie! And so great you lost 12 pounds, better slowly losing it then not at all ;)

Have a great visit with your aunts Phylis!

Good luck with your walk Krysti!

I've been back to the gynecologist today, he said the IUD should still be in the womb, I'll have to come back June 13th for a hysteroscopy. If he'll finds the IUD then, he'll take it out and place a new one ... so just wait until then I guess.
Now a quick look online and then time to make diner before all the boys are back (Ben is out playing at a friends house and Wes is at daycare, only Luc and Nik are home)

good morning - woke up to clouds - had a great afternoon and evening at my son's and DIL's as they hosted a lovely BBQ. Great food! We then went in and had movie night. We watched Argo - omgosh it was great! Even though I knew the ending there was so much tension. Was amazing how well Afleck matched photos and video from that time and recreated in the movie. A nice way to end the weekend!

Chris sounds like a wonderful client! Enjoy!

Phylis have fun with your Aunts!

Trudy I love the smell of bacon so I never mind it cooking in my kitchen but how sweet of you MG to cook it for you.

Angela you are busy as always!

Kristi have fun on the walk!

Have a great day all!

Morning all... Well it was supposed to be rainy today, but surprise, surprise, the sun is shining brightly!! Blue sky everywhere, I am happy, but what the heck were the weather men looking at???? My Azalea's are starting to bloom and the Rhododendrons are right behind them. I love this time of year!! MG and myself got a few plants moved yesterday and we discussed doing a feature garden in the one corner of the back yard, so hopefully that will be a project we can get done this summer.

Chris - Have a good time at your funny lady's small house today! So cute that her son has a crush on you!! WTG on the sit-ups, I keep saying I am going to start to do them too, but somehow it just hasn't happened yet LOL. Don't worry too much about the # on the scale unless it jumps dramatically up :becky: I know that you had troubles in the past, you do not want to go down that road again!!

Laurie - WTG on the weight loss!! I have lost 8lbs over the past couple of months, but I seem to struggle to lose any more than that!! It's really hard when my thyroid won't let me lose weight too easily, but I keep trying. Keeping your son in my thoughts and hoping that he finds his dream job soon!!

Phylis - I will be hauling lots of mulch this year too, but we have two large wheel barrows so that makes the job a bit easier. Have fun visiting your Aunts! Its nice that you have gotten along so well with them! Too bad we don't get to pick who we are related too, I have a couple of sisters that I think have totally lost their minds!!

Kristy - Have a great walk! I will think of you today as I am out for my walk also!

Angela - Yikes!! I bet you are not looking forward to having that IUD taken out!! But it doesn't sound like the dr. is too concerned over it! Enjoy your dinner!!

Ok I have some CT work to do today also, looking forward to seeing what you come up with Chris!! Lots of :washing: to do today and then some painting time too. First my walk, while the sun is still out. Have a great day everyone!!

Hey girlies!! I'm always in here late on Monday! I finished dishes this morning (always a victory!!) and my laundry is almost all put away! (it was all put away until I found a load in the dryer!! Eeek!) These are the last two weeks of school for us, so it's a bit wild here. Notebooks are being organized for checks, last minute tests are being taken, cora's in finals at HBU (Houston Baptist University), Lil has an Enrichment Class presentation tonight, and with all that, it's not even May yet!! Chris, I'm feeling your pain over May coming too fast here, too!! It's my total crazy month...and I'm going out of town twice during May!! Mr Gorgeous didn't look too happy last night when I reminded him that I was out of town this whole weekend for a quilt retreat (my first!!). So this week, my goal is to treat him like a king and keep his castle clean so he'll not miss me too much when I'm gone!! :)

I'm off to eat some real food since I just had pie for lunch!! eeeeeek! can you say sugar addiction????

love you all!!! happy MONDAY!!! yay!! (yep, pie for lunch monday...perfect!!)

Hi girls...I know I have been quiet and MIA from chatting for a while...I have just been busy, and a bit depressed. It's that roller coaster of things that keep you on edge and just seem to never settle down completely. I have been taking the kids to therapy as well, and all the sports stuff started up...when I sit at the computer I just want to scrap to get it all off my mind. But today really hit home and I just needed to spill out a little bit. Mike's best friend passed away today. He was only 52 or 53 yo....but his general health has been bad for years (from drinking). Not sure what happened to him yet...his Mother went to his house this morning and found him, by himself...that is very sad in itself. Not sure how Mike is doing...I think he is in shock right now...so no emotions yet. Sigh..........

Thanks for the ear girls, and sorry I am not too present, but maybe with the onset of spring, finally, I can regain some enthusiasm soon ;)

((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) Nana. It has been just a bit over a year since Gary's best friend passed away suddenly and I remember how scary-silent he was with it.
I have absolutely no advice for you but to keep in mind that men grieve totally differently than we do but it doesn't mean that they are not grieving. It somes out in very odd and seemingly random moments. But go with it as best as you can.

Hoping every day that things settle down for you
