Happy Monday to you all!
I am trying really really hard to put the past week of negativity behind me. it was a rough one for sure, but I have gotten through worse.

I spent more time outside yesterday and while it was chilly (for me at least) I got a lot done in my yard. I garbage picked a fake stone fountain from my friend down the street. Gary drilled drainage holes in the bottom and helped me move it to a space on the side of the yard where there is just a lot of dead branches and pricker bushes. I filled it with soil, and transplanted some liriope in the bottom level, and a ground cover that grows on runners but gets tall purple flowers from the center of the leaves. Thought they would look pretty as they drape down. I re-potted the snap pea plant that is growing like mad, started a few more from seed.Tossed down some bee-friendly wildflower seeds too.

I made spinach and ricotta enchiladas for dinner, and no one was all that crazy about them (except Brendan LOL).

Today I am going to prep for food shopping, to see if there is a way to get the discounts for online orders. I am not ready to go today, working tomorrow and a vet appt on Wed. I know that some (most!) people can double up on things, but I still struggle with that. We will run out of food by Thursday, which would be the next time I can go.

So that is about it from me, I hope that you all have a wonderful day full of love!

xoxoxo!

From Sunday:

Nancy- I wish I lived near you, with all of those parks for the dogs to run and splash in. I doubt that Ray would do all that much but Jaida sure would. How sweet of Luther to check in with you when he is up ahead. I am assuming you meant Luther and not DH hahahah!!
Both of my dogs are stinky too- Gary and Cait gave J a bath yesterday, but R started shaking so much just from hearing the water run. I think she is going to have get a sponge bath/brushing today, to get the worst of the smell off!
Hope your errands today get done quickly! I want to do some scrapping too.

Trudy- what is it with your neighbors?? Ugh! :rollpin: I am really lucky for the most part here. But the house across the street- "City Folk!" They apparently put up *three* bird feeders in the back yard which is a big No No in Bear Country, and the bears have been knocking down the fence between their house and BFFATS. They have been fighting a bit too, you can hear it all when the windows are open. Of course, that also means that everyone heard Gary and I  the other day too. *shame*
yes, getting the tension out def. helped. He asked me to try the curtains again, and he thinks I should keep them. He tried to put up the blinds and curtain that I got for his window and while both need to be returned, he tried. And I tried to not have a chip on my shoulder for no reason, so maybe fighting can be good, on occasion.

Good point about Nancy's son and the dog hahahah!!!!!!

Trace- oph la laaaaa! Those dresses are stunning and you are going to look awesome in them. That purple one looks Red Carpet Ready! The dinner sounds really good, I'll drink all of the wine for you, I'll even share with Trudy who also enjoys wine, and better wine than I typically drink. :p

Kat- love your afternoon recipe for success and relaxation! Lizards!! Lucky!!! We get newts and salamanders and frogs- no lizards. :(

Cindy- sorry to hear that your church meeting wasn't good for you. :( But the fish lunch sounds good.
I am 100% with you on not giving up your right to have dogs, We lived in a condo when we were first married and were only allowed 2 cats and we had three. But two of them looked almost identical, we figured that unless they were seen in the same window at the same time, no one would figure it out. heh.
Aren't all dogs a bit bratty? :)
I shouldn't say that, Ray is the sweetest mellowest dog I have even met. Jaida has Ray's share of Brat- we call her the Butt, short for Pain in the butt. Smart and stubborn and strong, she is a Pit/Lab mix but the personality is more pit than lab. Ray is a lab mix and has that laid back personality of a lab. Cannot imagine life w/o dogs.

have to laugh at your comment about your dog not wanting to get wet- Ray is like that too- hates all forms of water. Some Lab, webbed feet and all. :pound:

have a great one, my lOves!!!

Good Monday morning. It's cold and rainy today. Only 5 degrees C!!!

Tomorrow I am going with my daughter's first grade class on a field trip to a local nature reserve. It's going to be 3 degrees and raining!! UGH....I really hope we get to eat our lunch inside somewhere!

Chris, way to go on getting all that work done! We seeded our backyard last weekend but I think it needs it again. Our back yard is a mess thanks to the previous owners.

Trudy, I can relate with neighbours!! OMG...we've had some doozies ourselves!! One lady used to peer into my kitchen window every day to see if I was home! Had to resort to getting dark curtains. I hope you can resolve the issues soon!

Nancy, my dog hates being bathed. She is afraid of the tub. She is a golden retriever and has a bit of curl in her hair and I really need to take her to be groomed properly.

Well my doctor just called. ....I had a HIDA scan on my gallbladder last Monday and he wants to see me to discuss results. His nurse also mentioned he had written down "discuss referral to surgeon". Great. My gallbladder has been giving me issues for awhile now but I was hoping to avoid the surgery.

good am! Yesterday my DH fixed the backdoor but was not in a good mood but that is what happens when you let your temper get the best of you. I have no sympathy for that. Then my son threw a tantrum just like his dad and I can't even remember why LOL. Two peas in a pod who do not think they are like each. I need a vacation from them.

Chris I am just like you I am doing away with negativity and laughing this week as my boys will be on their own. It will actually do them good. I think your veggie enchiladas sound delicious. Glad you had such fun outside.

Trace I remember those days of going on field trips with the kids. They were such fun. Hope the weather gets better! Sorry about the gall bladder problems. Funny to hear that big dogs who like water don't like baths. And those dresses are gorgeous!

Trudy those neighbors are the pits. Such a shame.

Cindy sorry about the meeting! Glad lunch was good. I know what you mean about having pets and needing them.

Kat great way to spend the day!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... my goodness what a change in the temps this morning!! Only 6 celsius this morning, but the sun is shining and after the big rains that we had yesterday, the plants and lawn look so green and healthy!! Yesterday was spent painting my little cabinet that was in my craft room, I did it Antique white and painted the inside Robins Egg Blue, it looks so good!! I need to go get a bit more blue though as I decided to add another shelve to it and need to paint that. I will get a photo posted when I am done. I forgot to take a before pic, but it was just a plain lighter colour wood, so you will have to imagine what it was like.

Chris - What a lovely picture to post for us to see first thing this morning!! I love that colour combination and it made me smile, Thanks!!! Sounds like you were busy outside yesterday, I bet your little plant project will look so good!! Your enchiladas sound yummy, whats the matter with your kids not liking them :becky: Had to laugh about your city folk neighbours we have other neighbours who love to have bird feeders too, luckily no bears around here, but I wonder how they like the squirrels and rats that are showing up around their place now LOL. We have discovered a tiny little bunny that is making himself at home at our place, I think that they are cute, but I know how quickly that they populate and I really don't want to lose my plants because of them. No cats around here to keep them under control either as I lost my Mr. Abu (who couldn't have killed a fly) and the neighbours cat which was a great hunter is now gone, because they split up and she took the cat with her  Hopefully the bunny finds it way to someone else's garden.

Trace - Yikes you had a bad neighbour too!! That is kinda creepy that she would peer into your window everyday!! :fear: I have been putting up with my horrible neighbours for years and they just don't get it  they don't care that they bother everyone and believe me they bother everyone!!! It's not just me, people who live in the sub division behind us across the highway can hear them, that's how loud and horrible they are!! If the dogs keep up the barking especially in the night then we will just have to start calling the by-laws officer and hopefully they will get fined, and bigger fines each time they are called. I don't blame the dogs, I blame the owners for being such idiots!! Ok enough about my bad neighbours :tape: Sorry to hear that you are having gall bladder issues, hope that you do not have to have the surgery!! Have fun at your daughter's field trip, too bad the weather is so chilly for it!!

Nancy - Wow I don't blame you for wanting to get going on your vacation! :becky: Funny that they are so alike, hopefully the temper tantrums have subsided!! Hope you have a wonderful time away from your guys !!

Cindy - That's too bad about your church meeting! I would not have like your lunch I am afraid as I do not like fish very much, shellfish yes, but not fish. Hoping that you get to have your car back soon and it is finally all finished with repairs!!

Rae and Kat - waving hello to both of you and hope that your day is filled with good things!!

I gotta get some breakfast, then out the door soon to go buy some more paint. I want to look at some art supplies too as I am in the mood to have a go at a painting I want to do for the kitchen, then an abstract that that I want to try for the living room. I haven't tried abstract art for a long time so wish me luck ladies!! Hope you all have a Marvellous Monday!!

Good morning, ladies. The wkend flew by. Bailey came over yesterday and we made Thai sloppy joes for dinner together. We loved it (Darrell had a burger and salad). I get leftovers for lunch today, yum. My friend gave me her recipe (she's vegetarian) but I put in a mix of lentils plus hamburger. We tried to download a trial of PSE for Bailey onto her laptop but she needs to upgrade her operating system. I'm going to call Adobe and see if we can load an earlier version of PSE for her that will work on her system. She's really looking forward to trying it and I could see the disappointment when we found out PSE14 wouldn't work. We splurged and had carrot cake for dessert and watched Criminal Minds together before I took her home and raced back to watch Game of Thrones, then "The Family". Both were good episodes. Not much going on today except work and I'll pop out later to the produce market later. The sun is out thankfully, after that torrential downpour yesterday afternoon which Bailey & I got caught in as we left the grocery store. Neither of us had a coat on so we were soaked by the time we jumped into the car. Then when we got to the house we got soaked again as we raced to the front door. Glad it passed by quickly. Will get some scrapping done later. Have one challenge ready and one more to prepare today. So, a quiet day ahead with work and scrapping.

Chris - I really hope this week is a better one for you.

Trace - I was reading your post and my eyes were wonky so I read that your neighbor "peed in your window". WTH???? I just about spit my coffee out. I read it again and saw that....she peered in your window....ok, not nice but not as disgusting as peeing in it. LOL.

Cindy - fingers crossed the car is back soon.

Trudy - ugh....crappy neighbors can make your life hell. We are lucky that ours are pretty good. The idiot at the corner finally sold last year so no one missed his barking dogs and music blaring. Sounds like you are on a creative roll with the painting! I didn't know you did abstract painting. How talented you are.

Kat - your patio time sounds wonderful.

Gotta get at my day now. Have a great day, everyone.
