yay for Spring!!! :humble: It is finally here!!! We are going to get to 65* today!!!!
My "big" plan for today is to take down the Christmas lights. I was going to ask Scott to do it for me but he is getting ready for finals and research project due dates are coming up fast and is time-crunched. Cait is in the same boat and both of them are in crummy moods. In fact, all 4 of were yesterday and got cranky with each other. Cait and I even got into a small fight, but we are all good today.

I spent a bunch of time uncovering plants yesterday from layers of leaves. Unfortunately, it wasn't as relaxing as I would like since my anxiety over ticks seems to be getting worse. I think that I told you that my LLMD suspects that I was reinfected last spring which is why I was so darn sick last summer. For some reason, pheromones maybe, ticks are attracted to certain people more than others and lucky me, I am one of them.
I cover myself with DEET, wear long pants, shower right after I am outside but it doesn't always seem to make a difference. Gary showed me an article that there is a new species of tick in NJ that somehow got here from East Asia. This should be a flag to the CDC when they say that Lyme Disease isn't found in State XYZ. Like ticks understand borders. SMH.

Not much else going on here.
Hope that you all have a happy and sunshine-y day!

Trudy- sorry to hear that the Bruins lost- when was/is their next game? Your day of bottling White Zin and being outside sounds like heaven!
I wish we had a large farmers market- we do have one that will start in June that is every week, but it is small. Someday this town will get it together LOL

Nancy- That stinks about the Devils but like I said the other day- they got much farther than last year- and hope this gives them lots of motivation for the next season. Who will you root for now?

Jean- how weird to see that your library was broken into, or tried at least. I swear it wasn't me and Cait trying to "rescue" Quilliam! :D
But that was my thought too- why would anyone want to break into a library? great that you were able to have your meeting anyway and of course, what a conversation piece.
Yes, I am a different person when I am not complaining about being cold. hahaha!!!

Felis- I love the feelign you get with spring cleaning too- it is like you are getting rid of the old to let the new in.
Cait took a bunch of pictures of the rats at the lake and it was strange to see the blue sky over their carrier. The carrier has a grate on top so they were sticking their noses up to it to get to the new smells. Very cute!

I need more :cof1:
xoxoxo to all of you!!!!

good morning - the sun is shining and to much wind and when done with this I will be out with Luther. My DH and I took him late yesterday afternoon and it was so nice. The sun at that time of day makes everything so beautiful. My son is working from home today as he just did not want to face the commute and he is feeling much better. Not much else going on. A few errands but not much else.

Chris yes finally a warm day. it is so nice. I love to see the sun. Always makes things better. I am cheering for the Vegas Golden Knights. This is their first year in the league and no one expected them to get this far so I am happy for them. They have a real team not just a few stars and that makes it special. Out of the west the last 4 teams standing none of them have one a Stanley Cup so I won't mind if any of them win. I just don't want to see the Penguins win for 3 times in a row. I am cheering for Trudy's team in the East the Boston Bruins. They play tonight and I am pretty sure they want to close it out and not go to a game seven. So I still have plenty of hockey still to watch. Finals are as bad for the teachers as the students. LOL. My DH has a lot more stress this time of the semester. Good luck to the kids.

Trudy hope the wine bottling went well and Go Bruins!

Felis glad the spring is so good and cleaning is awesome.

Jean that is crazy trying to break into a library. Glad you got to have your meeting and of course people love your talks! Yes I looked yesterday on the walk and two red-bellied woodpeckers were calling probably declaring their territory, geese and mallard pairs but need to see littles perhaps soon before the leaves get too filled in.

Rae sending hugs and good thoughts.

Have a great day all!

I had to laugh at the idea of Chris and Cait coming to "rescue" Quilliam - only it was a different library! It is nice and in the 60s today so soon we plan to do some birding as DH is now home from Hum & Strum. Last night we finished one of my new jigsaw puzzles of an incredible and funny group of owls. I'm sure it will make it into a page to share.

Felis, keeping up small spring cleaning tasks during the week will keep the spiriti of renewal going for you perhaps. That might be nice.

Chris, that is so scary about the ticks. How would the Doc know if you were reinfected? DH is so very careful about ticks in his bird surveys but this is not an area where we ever encountered them in the old days. Not so any more. Wishing both kids well on finals and projects. Still loving the images of the rats on their outing!

Nancy, I did not realized Vegas was a new team this year. How amazing for them to be into the second round of the playoffs! Of course we're all cheering for the Bruins!

Hi to Trudy and Rae!

Good very late morning ladies! I slept in a bit. We stayed up late watching a James Bond movie on TV and DH is home again today, he has an appointment with the specialist today to see if he needs surgery on his knees or not. Hope that it all goes well for him of course! Had a nice long facetime with DD and Hunter. They had so much fun this weekend as they had a date night and saw the Comedian Kevin Hart, she said he was hilarious! However it was a very expensive night as drinks were priced sky high and so was the parking! So they each only had one drink because of course they had to drive back home. Mason's Daddy bought him a basketball stand that can go out on the street and the whole neighbourhood had lots of fun with it! It was so nice that Mason spent most of the whole weekend outside playing with all the neighbourhood kids! Today DH and I will be doing yard work in the back yard. Yesterday we spent the day power washing the front upper deck and man was it dirty!! We have waited to do these jobs because the pollen has been so bad, but seems to have run its course and is not so bad now. So perhaps we will get the back deck done today. Cutting the grass and weeding in the back also. Needless to say I have not been able to spend much time here, hopefully tomorrow I will be more present here!

Chris - I am so happy for you that spring has finally arrived to your area! Ugh on the fear of ticks, but who could blame you? You must smell very sweet to those horrible ticks! I have to be more cautious now on our hikes as there are ticks out now, however I haven't seen a tick for many years, just hope it stays that way! Bruins are playing tonight, so I guess we will be glued to the TV cheering them on! GO BRUINS!!

Nancy - Thanks for helping us out and cheering for the Bruins tonight! I hope the wind dies down for you and Luther soon. Nice to have a day of not having to do too much, hope that your son feels better today and how lucky that he can work from home and not worry about doing that commute! Enjoy all the hockey tonight! GO BRUINS!

Jean - Why on earth would someone want to break into a library? Was there a book that they really needed to read?? LOL Hope you can get a page done about your puzzle, I love puzzles and haven't done one for a long time. I helped FIL get one started a couple of weeks ago and it was fun to just sit down and get it started. He has since finished it, and was very pleased with getting that accomplished. It was one of some Wolves with a dark blue background. I imagine it would have been a challenging one. Hope that you have a lovely day!

:hello: Rae and Felis I will try to get back here soon to catch up with both of you!

Ok I better get busy and get my vacuuming done before DH gets back home and wants to get outside :becky: Have a wonderful day everyone!
