Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Yes, Faeries can growl. And grumble. And curse. Especially when watching the snow pile up yet again. So far-- about 5" and it is still coming down. Yesterday, the forecast was for 2-4" but mostly on the grass. Wake up. Nope. Not even close. Leah stayed over last night and left her car parked on the street. At 7 am, the plow came through and honked since her car was across the street from my neighbor's car, also on the street and not that much room to get through. We ran out and had to shovel a spot for her in the driveway as quickly as we could. Not a promising start to the day.

I literally. Just. Can't. :faint2:

Did everyone have a nice weekend? I was going to come back here in the afternoon but I was wiped out.
Saturday night I was out late (for me heh!) and had a tough time sleeping. Then I had to get up and get the house cleaned before my parents came for Easter brunch. then I had to clean everything all up when everyone left. But all in all, it was nice being together with family.

Today is going to be another one of those days. Shoveling. Yelling at the sky. More shoveling. Getting ready for food shopping tomorrow. Yelling at my kitchen why it can't cook for me.

May your day be filled with sunshine and happiness!

Nancy- how did the Devils do over the weekend? Hope that played great!!
All of my flowers are buried under the snow. Hope that you are only getting rain.

Felis- that is how I feel when people in my area complain about the bears. Don't move here if you don't like them. They were here first. Hope that the dogs continue to get along.

Trudy- I am sorry that your son is moving so far away again.Bet the house feels very quiet after having the kids with you.
We tried to take the dogs for a walk but no one was cooperating. Next time might be better.

Rae- hope that you had a relaxing day and that your visit with Bailey was nice.

Hugs to everyone! xoxo

good morning - well the snow is really coming down. My DH is home shoveling out the drive way. Only good thing is that there is no public school as it is Easter break. Need to get Luther to the vet - we think it is his ears again. Had a nice weekend family wise. The Easter dinner was really nice. Yummy food and good conversation. It was an early dinner. The day started out so cloudy and then the sun came out it was so nice. The In-laws have retired and moved to south Jersey. When we came to the area OMgosh my DH and I thought we had gone back in time and back to AZ. All the homes are single level (which is great for getting old as there are not stairs) but they all are too similar. Not surprised as it is a shore community and the ground is sandy so not really easy to build up. There house is so cute. They did a lot of work and it looks great. And they are very close to the beach and her town has its own private part of Long Beach Island. So that makes my DIL very happy as she is a beach girl. Not this week though. LOL. But the best part of the weekend (next to family of course) was my NJ Devils are winning the games they should. They played the NY Islanders on Sat night and won and then flew up to Montreal and played last night and won again. Kyle Palmieri was cut under his eye by his own player and they did not take him but he was good on Sunday morning so flew up on his own and played. wow my hockey players are tough. On Sat the Boston Bruins (Trudy and her MG's team) defeated the Florida Panthers so that means my team is so much closer to getting into the play-offs. And the snow is still falling.

Chris I know you are hating this. OMgosh that is horrible you all had to get up and shovel and move the car. Glad you had a nice Easter and try and relax today. The Yankees postponed Opening Day as this is the worst snow storm in April in 15 years. We deserve a great spring and summer.

Rae glad to read you are having some me time. Reading to take you away for awhile! Glad to hear that Bailey is recovering though there is still a long road ahead

Waving at Felis, Trudy, and Jean. Hope you all had a great holiday.

Good morning, ladies. I'm enjoying some quiet time in the house by myself. D has to work today but I will only have a few hours to put in so have some time to putter, maybe put together a scrap page and run some errands. I have to do household chores/pay bills, etc. So many day to day things get pushed aside with my limited erergy/time these days. I have to try to push myself to get things done so I don't fall too far behind. One thing I started up over the weekend is working out. I am having a cup of coffee when I awake and then heading downstairs to do a short workout. I have decided to do weight lifting every second day for 15-20 minutes and on the in between days will do a 5-10 min stretch or core routine. At my age I can't stop taking care of myself, especially weight lifting, so am making myself fit this into my routine. I have decided I will give up scrapbooking before I will give up exercise, if my time is that tight.

Our visit yesterday wasn't a good one. B has extreme emotional damage and gets verbally aggressive and moody. She grumbled and hid under her blanket for a good portion of time and then watched a few animal videos for a bit but then got anxious and what I call "spinning" where she keeps repeating something that doesn't quite make sense and starts to get very agitated, which is then followed by mean words. There were no words of love or hugs yesterday. We know she can't help it, its the brain damage, but its still heartbreaking to experience.

We're going to start staying home a few days a week to clear our heads and get other things done. We're both feeling very burned out and we are going to be going thru this for months and months to come.

So.....for today, I will stay home, have a bit of "me" time and get some stuff done around here.

Chris - sorry to hear of the snow...ugh. Be careful shoveling the snow, don't overdo it. Doesn't mother nature know we all need spring now? Our temps almost hit freezing last night. I can't wait for warm weather and being able to leave the back door open to let a warm breeze in.

Nancy - glad to hear you had a wonderful Easter and how lucky for your in-laws to have moved to a shore community. I would love that!

Jean, Trudy, Felis, everyone else...hope all is well.

Have a great day, everyone. I'm getting dressed and zipping over to the store now. I have so many little things to do that I think the day will fly by.

Morning ladies... I am late getting in here this morning. I slept in a bit and then DD facetimed with the boys as Mason is home from school because it is Easter Monday. So her day is very busy, but filled with fun and laughter! Mason is such a big help to her and plays very nicely with his little brother. Today MG and I will be getting more Mulch for the back gardens, so I will be getting lots of shovelling excercise today. Not as heavy as the snow that Chris has to shovel by any means.

Chris - I am so sorry that you are getting yet again more :smow: When will it ever stop being winter for you?? Wouldn't it be nice if our kitchens did all the cooking for us LOL. I hope that you can find something fun to do today to take your mind off of the horrible weather that you are experiencing!

Nancy - Glad that the Bruins helped your team out a bit, yesterdays loss for the Bruins was a bit disappointing, but oh well they got another point and that is good! Hope that you will get some spring weather soon! How awesome that the In-laws have found a cute little house to live in! Nice that you got to spend the time with family and had all that great food too! Hope you manage to get Luther to the Vet, poor Luther it must be so uncomfortable for him to have trouble with his ears!

Rae - I am happy that you are getting into some kind of exercise routine to take of yourself! Nice that you are finding some quiet time too! My heart breaks for all of you, so sad that Bailey is having the emotional trouble with her mind. The brain is amazing though and hopefully she will get past all of this and her mind will heal and rewire itself! It may take years, but keep the faith that it will happen. My DD had to learn how to do everything again, speak, feed herself, she was even blind for a while, now to look at her you would never know anything ever happened to her, except that she can't keep her balance and needs a walker to get around. It will be very tough for all of you especially because of the hurtful words, but at least you realize that it is the brain injury and not really her saying those things to you! Be strong, it will get better! I hope that you get to scrap a bit today, it will be therapeutic for you for sure!

Felis and Jean :hello: I hope you are having a great day!

Ok ladies I need to get into the shower and get breakfast for my MG and then we are off to get our Mulch and get busy in the garden. I am sending all of you the lovely sunshine that we are having today, but not the cool temps that moved in yesterday. Brrr it is a bit chilly out there today. Have a lovely Monday!

Hello girls,
I'm with Trudy, today. Plenty of work in ours yard for my family too.
When Chris is so unhappy from snow I feels like a jerk to complain from Spring, but I have to. Right now I just hate the Spring! I'm still not found this lamp that Chris was told me and the weather and light changes affects me so unpleasant. I got something like Spring fatigue syndrome, and wants only to sleep, listen sad lovely song and cries for the past :hurt: ! If you wondering how I comes here, yesterday I had short but very nice talk with my ex roommate (because she celebrates Easter), and this brings me back so many memories from our past. Ugh! I miss the past hopes and the old me. I think you'll have to rebuke me! And promise tomorrow to try to come back in better mood!

Chris, sorry for shoveling, it's not fun with sure! I'm ready to exchange! Get as much spring as you want! :humble:

Trudy, as I told today we have similar days, with exception that we don't mulch, but we was weeding a flower bed. About the yesterday, I understand how nostalgic are all these things to your kids, I'm not big fan of the changes. I hope they will get good price for the house, so to can found something that likes on a new place!

Rae, hugs! You are so strong, dear! Your plan for routine exercise sounds awesome! Of course it's very important to care for your health and emotions on at first point! It's no need to feels pressure to follow all your hobbies at same quality as before, now you are on new schedule, so just adapt them to the new situation! How Jen is doing? I hope she don't have problems at her job! Poor, girl, have so much stress! Sending good vibe to Bailey!

Nancy, poor Luther, hope he will feels better soon! The new house of your In-laws is sounds so lovely! Is that place close to your home?!

Jean, where are you, girl?! I hope you are busy with something fun!

Ok, girls, good night for now! I'll see you tomorrow!
