Happy Monday to my O-Fam! Is anyone else sad (but secretly relieved) that the Birthday Bash is over? What an absolutely fabulous party!! but hoo-boy.... its a lot of posting and scrapping for an old fart like me.

But if you are not experiencing scrap-hangover, there are the April Challenges up here Monthly Challenges

But no rush on them... there will be here all month.Whew!

Not much else to say here. This cold is making me crazy. I am not sick enough where I feel like I need to sleep all day, but I am tired enough where I want to be lazy. LOL
But if I want to have food for the week, I have to go to my favorite place (not!) today.

morning O fam- another day to head off to work. I have less than 30 before I get to hit the beach though- you know that means- ughhh swimsuit - I ordered a new hold it all in suit- we shall see how it does- it also means I am going to eat healthy and exercise cause it is crunch time- literally! I need to clean up the house this week. Not sure what my Easter plans will include- except- going out to brunch. Need to txt ds today to see if he will join us! Have great days everyone!

Laurie, you should do what i do: i haven't been seen in a bathing suit for about 25 years. when we go to the shore, i'm the one in cut-offs standing in the surf up to my knees. that's IT!

today is a trip to the cemetery with two roses for my parents. my dad died 27 years ago today taking a treadmill stress test in the hospital. i think it's NOT going to rain, so that's a good thing. then i have to visit a little mom and pop grocery store in my old home town and pick up the homemade kielbasa (sausage) for Easter dinner. i LOVE that stuff, and i love going into that store this week. it smells DIVINE!

Chris - ton answer your question : Yes I'm sand, and still a little bit (not so) secretly relieved LOL I've been going on like a maniac, DH is going to be happy he no longer hear the 'tip tip tip tip' of my frenetic commenting all the time :der:

Laurie - Love the "hold it all in suit" concept. I gained 5kgs with all my worries the previous months ... so I'm not sure anything can hold it all in, but well ... it's how I am so ppl will just have to deal with it

Phylis - wow ... what happened to your dad must have been a shock for you bakc then :frown: . Have a nice visit with your mom ... (((hugs)))

Well, I'm back at work ... the weather suck today (grey and a little bit windy) when it's been gorgeous for weeks on ... but then I should have guessed : My parents are supposed to be visiting at the end of the week and we almost always get poor weather when they come.
At the end of the month, we're going on holiday with the 3 kids to Washington (well near there) to visit a cousin of my husband's who's been liveing here for a few years now. We'll take the train to NY to spend a couple of days there before we head back home early may. Can't wait !! it's going to be a great holiday

I am back home after a wonderful trip out to the Carolinas and am ready to head right back there. What a gorgeous area!!

Today back to reality and all the responsibilities of life. Happy to check back in here and it will take me some time to catch up on all the lovlies in the galleries for sure!

Morning everyone!! Yes, its Monday :mmph: and off to work for a full day, but the bright side is its a short work week! Tuesday off then I work Wed. & Thurs and have a nice long weekend Horray!! Yesterday MG and myself went for a very long walk on a trail that we found only a few miles from where we live. So we hopped in the truck and spent a few glorious hours discovering a section of the Trans Canada trail. (pictures to follow soon) . It felt so good to be out hiking again!!

Chris - You are a little devil when it comes to April fool's , but I was kinda bad yesterday too and pulled a little prank on my daughter's boyfriend LOL!! Phylis is right, you can never leave us!! Hope your cold gets better soon!

Laurie - Hope the hold in suit does the trick!! I love mine! But still need to drop a few more pounds too, darn thyroid condition really makes it a challenge!! But you are so active with dance and your walking I bet you look great in a bathing suit!! Hope your son can join you for brunch!!

Dumpty - How nice that your parents are coming for a visit! Hope that the weather improves for them! Your trip sounds like it will be fun I have always wanted to visit Washington and New York!

Phylis - Always a sad time when you have to go to the cemetery! I lost my dad suddenly too, he was watching the neighbor cut down a tree in his yard and he dropped dead standing right beside my mother. He had a long life though. I still miss him terribly! Your little store sounds wonderful! I love those little mom and pop stores!!

Kristy - Hope you get to go back to bed for nap today! Feel better! :hug:

Donna - Welcome back! Sounds like your trip was divine!! Lots of catching up to do in the gallery, I still have not caught up either! But I'm working on it. Hope your day is great!

Good Morning ladies....

I am on the SPRING CLEANING warpath...I am GOING TO WIN TOO!!! IF IT KILLS ME!!!!


I cleaned my oven yesterday (I am such a cheater though...SELF CLEANING...I wish EVERY APPLIANCE HAD THIS FEATURE)....
Today...My bedroom...cleaned out all the drawers, under the bed, and need to finish up with the closet in a bit....I cleaned it out a few weeks ago..I just need to organize and move around some clothes....
TOMORROW...THE BATHROOM!!

lol eva!! Hi all! Thought I'd pop in again...sounds like there are a lot of fun vacations going on out there...wish I had one! Well, today is cleaning day at my house, too...so is tomorrow. Gotta get back into my exercise habit, though, so it will be Jillian Michaels meeting with me as soon as I put DS#2 down for his nap. That's after I took my two youngest for a walk this morning to our local (man-made) lake (OK to look at but really, gross...no one goes in it...the things they didn't to create jobs during the Great Depression). It was a beautiful morning for a walk. Anyway...gotta go sweat some more! See you all later.

Today totally feels like summer here. We walked and I was really sweating! And we are running our air-conditioner. So strange for this time of year!
