Channeling Sally- come In Sally!

Happy Monday!

Did ya'll have a great weekend? Mine was good- nothing fun- but I got a lot accomplished around the house. Not that you can tell to look at it- but I did :D
So- easy come easy go- we got our Income Tax Refund on Saturday- and Sunday we officially preformed last rights on our refrigerator. I love online shopping- we found one, on sale, with rebates from the store and from the state, plus a recycling rebate for our old fridge. I guess if we needed to buy it, now was the prefect time.

Today I am off to play in the dirt at my SIL's. They have this awesome fenced in garden that is growing nothing but weeds. I have been itching to get the weeds ripped up and the ground ready to plant for years! My SIL is crazy- she wants to pay me to do this- I said for her to pay me in tomatoes and zucchini!

On to personals!

Linda S- Hope that you can get some rest soon!

Laurie- did your new fridge tell my old fridge it was time to "move on?" LOL
I hear ya on the gardening fever- I mostly only plant perennials and I have been having so much fun dividing and replanting them. I brought some more narcissus and ground cover from MIL's last week. Fun!

hi LS!!

Hi Ona- Happy ANZAC day! (belated)

Linda S- I have never heard of a portable ice maker- cool! (ha- no pun!)

Linda W- We lost our Spring weather here- back to being cold- mid 50's. My DD was outside of the Ambulance Squad, waving people in for the Blood Drive- in short sleeves and it was only 50*!!! One of her friends was in shorts. Cold!!!!!

Hello to everyone else!

xoxoxo

I just read the thread The Daily Oooo's - Explained! and I have been remiss in my Daily O duties. Please forgive me :)

Today is Me Me Monday (MMM)
What are you going to do for yourself today?

As you saw in my last post- I am going to be playing in the dirt!! Can't wait!!!

Morning all - I read those too Chris - for me- after work, after cleaning- yikes- I am going to digiscrap - I think my week in my life will be next week- a little behind to start it this week!

OH Chris...........GREAT NEWS about the refund and just in time for the fridge!! A few years ago we had to get a new fridge and I bought a side by side, and I could not get a very big one because my space wasn't big enough....I HATED THAT FRIDGE...I MEAN HATE!!!!! The following year we refinanced our house and remodeled the kitchen...yeah, made that space bigger!! SOLD that fridge for $500 and combined/used our tax refund that year (two years ago now) and bought me A BIG fridge!!! one with the double doors/fridge up top and the pull out drawer/freezer on the bottom!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my fridge!! I WOULD NOT TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING!!!

HAHAHA!! Too funny about how passionate we can be about the silliest things!! But I spend too much time in my kitchen to NOT have something that suits my needs!!

Well, I have two boys to keep for the summer. It's the two that I kept for a week last summer, Sharon's friends kids...they are a little older than Cameran, but they love Cameran so now he will have someone to play with and keep him busy, and I won't have to worry with the little bratty boy next door. I was really about to cry over what I was going to do this Summer. With Savannah, I can't do nearly as much as I have been doing with him. I am still planning a few things, I will just take them ALL!! YAY!! Yeah, I am nuts!!

I totally put off grocery shopping this weekend!! UGH!!! NOW I have to go and take missy Savannah with me!! double UGGH!! I am not into lugging babies to the grocery store!! BUT...I have no bread, milk, snacks for Cameran, no onions, lettuce, mustard...you get the idea!!!! I will be TOAST after this adventure!!

I hope you ladies have a great day!!! I will check back later...(((HUGS)))

Good morning ladies. So, today is day 2 of paid administrative leave. :) If I have it again tomorrow, which I am thinking I probably will I am going to have an Addie/Mommy day. Yay for those. Today I am going to scrap for a few and then do a little bit of house work. Then have a few errands to run and groceries to shop for. Blah!! We had a little last minute garage sale on Saturday we didn't sell much but got a lot of stuff out of our house and finally got stuff photographed and on craigslist. That is huge. I have already sold a few things. One of the bog things I want to sell is my printer. It is a large format printer and I just don't use it. It soundded cool at the time, but I just print a book of my LOs every year and don't use it. It is cool, but not if i don't use it.

So, last night was interesting. Some friends of mine of been going through a horrible ordeal with their mom/MIL. She seems to have some kind of mental illness, possibly scizophrenia and she had a major breakdown on Friday and has been in the hospital since Friday. We've been helping them where we can and it is in silly ways, but it is what they need...DH took him out for a beer, I sat with her while she had the garage sale, just talking, etc. So last night she called and said she needed me to go over and help look for her MILs cat that had been missing since Friday. Amazingly enough the cat was on the porch but ran when we got there. By the time we caught the cat we decided we should start our own tv show about animal capturing. If someone had walked by and seen us trying to catch that cat they would have laughed. She was laying on her belly on the ground reaching under the porch and I was on my belly on the steps with her giving me instructions of where to reach because I couldn't see anything. It was kind of amusing. Then we got the cat in the house and cleaned up a little bit, took out the trash, did the dishes and all those little things that can make a simple homecoming a miserable homecoming. Then decided we HAD to have some ice cream. It was an interesting evening. Before that we had BBQ'd at another friends house. We were interviewing them, or rather Ethan was to see if they would be a good fit for our dog when we move. They are perfect. But we had to make sure their dogs got along with him. It went better than we ever could have hoped for. Before we left my friend ended up in bed though. She had a bladder disease and had a horrible flare up and had take some pain pills and disappeared. She called me this morning feeling horrible about it. We all know she's going through this so I don't know what she felt bad about. Poor girl. She's very exburant so I think when she's not able to be it makes her feel bad. But we still had a great time over there hanging out while we could. It was a great Sunday.

We did almost have a HUGE panic on our hands. DH got a call saying that his job in the army may have been changed in the system so that his status of not being able to get deployed would no longer be the case. he immediately freaked out and started making all these crazy plans. Amazingly enough I was able to get him to chill out and listen to me and come up with a plan that made sense if that was the case. Fortunately this morning when he called to check on it...he is going to the hospital in NC as a non-deployable Nuclear Medicine Tech. Whew!! All is good. Life is good.

Alright...enough of my blubberings. LOL!! I have some scrapping to do and I'm using all my scrapping time blubbering. So, how about some personals and then I am off.

Chris - Yay for dirt!! I am so glad you get to do that. If someone wants to pay you for what you love to do...let them. They want to pay you because they don't want to do it, so you are doing them a favor. :) Although zuchini and tomatoes are pretty good payment, money is great too. LOL!! That is awesome that the refrigerator decided to wait until you had a big chunk of money to completely die on you. A very considerate refrigerator. Of course spending that money at the spa would have been much more fun. i didn't get to spend my tax return at the spa either...although I did spend it on my cruise. I guess I can't say anything.

Laurie - Have fun scrappin today. You are much more responsible than me. I scrap then clean. :)

Linda - How fun for Cameran to have boys to play with during the summer and fun for you to have a little extra play money. yay!! I think I need to go grocery shopping today too. sounds like a project for me and Ethan. Bah!! That means I need to plan some meals. Blech!!

Andrea - That is quite the to-do list. Good luck getting it all done. Hopefully you have time to breath!!

Okay, I am off to scrap! Ciao!

Hi ladies!
I'm sleepy. Genny decided to have an all night party last night. She was up and tossing and turning from 12-6am. YAWN! I was lying there thinking, "Are you SURE you want to have another baby, Woman?!"

Over the weekend, Atha had her first sleepover at a friend's house! I wanted to stow away with my camera! You know you are a digi-scrapper when- you think of all of life's events in terms of how much of a photo opportunity they are.

I rented Up in the Air and have been scared to watch it. I'm afraid it's going to be too sad for me. LOL

Chris- Good deal about the tax return coming at the best possible moment! Hooray for serendipity!

Linda- babies at the grocery store is the pits. I hope you get some rest afterward!

Ona- Before your post, all I knew of ANZAC is ANZAC biscuits which are yummy and which I used to make all the time. They are oaty and hearty and not too sweet.

Clara- sounds like an eventful weekend! That must have been a relief to find out that DH is still non-deployable. We have a friend who was in Germany for 5+ years as a .. well I'm not sure of the MOS, but he was a tech that worked on air traffic control systems, which was a non-deployable MOS. Besides that, he threw out his knee and had a lot of problems with it. So he is now coming back to the states with I think 12 years in and no deployments, which is sooo unheard of these days! Now he's about to deploy. Must be quite an adjustment to make.

Anyhoo, that's all I have, except to say that this week in my Computer INformation Systems class, we are discussing graphics programs. LOL If I don't get 100% this week I oughta drop out!
