The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I'd say, back to the grind, being up at 5 am to get ready to make the bus stop trip. But I had been waking up early anyway, so it doesn't feel all that different except that I get to see Caitlyn in the morning.:)

How was your weekend? The weather was very nice yesterday, I even opened my windows up a bit for some fresh air.
i wasn't sure what I wanted to do, and I was having a hard time just staying still, so I cleaned all of the dirt/grime from the DR chairs and sanding them to get them ready for staining. i thought that I would bring them outside and do the first coat in the sun (figuring I would steel wool out any of the dust LOL) but realized that I wouldn't be able to carry them back in. That would have been bad. So I decided to clean out some leaves that were burying my lilies. I also have to figure out some way of keeping those red bugs from eating them to death this year.
The whole yard is really a mess since I wasn't able to keep up on it at all last year.

Today I am going to try to get myself a bit organized (hahahah!!!!!!!) and then stain the chairs. We are having our Everything In May Celebration May 14, so that way they poly should be nice and cured by then.

I took some After pics, and hope to share them as soon as I can get my act together.
OMG- I feel so overwhelmed right now. :faint:

I am not even sure *why*

Better post this since all I am doing is staring blankly at my screen!

Sunday:

Nancy- what a game! All of those fights, and only one ref? Crazy!! Ugh about missing your exit, ended up in NYC would not only be bad, but *expensive!*
Luther must have been in his glory, hiking and swimming!

Trudy- Lake/river, either way the town and the dinner at your brother's sounds wonderful!
Hope your Gary didn't make you do too much yard work, and that you had a nice glass of wine at the end of the day. And who cares what the neighbors think, they are loud all of the time as it is!

Rae- ugh about feeling so sick :( Glad that it wasn't any worse than it was. Hope that you were able to get some more rest and had a nice time with the pups.
Breakfast for dinner is one of my favorites!

xoxoxo!!!

*** snicker *** picturing you staring at a blank screen, Chris ... and then realizing that the reality is that I doubt you would be sitting still long enough to do that! LOL Although I do understand the whole feeling overwhelmed thing.

I had an exhausting, but fun weekend - I think my butt hardly left my computer chair while I caught up on emails, scrapbooking, and attending a live event -- even got to listen to Anna Aspnes! She has such an adorable accent!! I learned a few new techniques and applied them to a page I just added to the gallery this morning -- can't miss it ... look for the big red bird! (a find from our recent trip to Hawaii). Last night was just chill and watch the Redwings hockey game. Well, as chill as I could be with hubby yelling at the tv. *sigh*

I think this week is going to be stressful at work -- too many pressing deadlines that all seem to be converging at the same time. Good news: my cough seems to be almost gone, along with the sinus infection YAY! Bad news: I have other "woman" issues, which decided to say, "Hey!" this morning ... after nearly 7 months!! Loaded up on Ibuprophen right now, so not feeling too much ;) LOL

good morning - well tax day has finally arrived for my DH and I. The forms were mailed this am. We always wait until the last day since we always owe. LOL. Found out that Emancipation day was the holiday that caused the tax day to be moved back to today. Today I have a few errands to run and then dinner with my girlfriend. Of course my hockey play-offs and scrapping.

Chris I know what you mean about just waking up early. But I do have to say I love the morning hours.

Kat I saw the Redwings win and they played really well. Maybe the change in goalies gave the team some extra jump. I think this will be a long series. Hope that work does not get too stressful. So sorry about the women's problem. I am so grateful not to have that anymore!

Trudy your time with your family sounds so fun! It must be so nice to be so close to each other. Sorry that our US dollar vs the Canadian puts such a damper on travel. But of course for me it works out pretty well.

Rae so sorry you are not feeling well. Glad though that it was not too bad.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... a beautiful sunny warm day on its way here!! I will be outside today for sure! I am hoping to start swimming again tomorrow, now that spring break and my Vertigo are done with, it should be nice and quiet at the pool. Wednesday is our hiking group day and we are going to Genoa Bay for our hike, right around where I live so that will be great, no long drive for me! Hope that the weather continues to be nice for that day!

Chris - Nothing worse than sitting there staring blankly at your computer screen

Hope you manage to be able to get outside for a bit today and looking forward to your before and after photos!! Are you staining your entire chairs or doing some paint on them also? LOL about my noisy neighbours in the back!! I am never too concerned about making noise to bother them!! Its my other neighbours that I don't want to upset, they are all so great and some work night shifts so it really is awful to think about waking them up! We waited until the afternoon to start the noisy power washer though so hope it was ok!! The neighbours behind us can kiss my @#%!!! :becky:

Kat - Saw your page and Wow!! what a great job you did on it!! Such great colour and it just pops out of the gallery!! :thumb: Sorry you are having woman issues!! Ugh!! I don't miss that one little bit! Hopefully it is a last hurrah for that! Glad to hear that your cough is almost gone though! Man that has hung on for long enough! Doesn't Anna have the sweetest little accent!! Her tuts are so great too! Glad you had fun with it!!

Nancy - I find that DH is not too interested in the playoffs this year, he is getting lots of work done around here though!! I love my mornings also, so quiet and peaceful and the best time to get things done around here! It is nice to be close to family after spending 28 years away from everyone, its a real treat to be back together again!! Except now I am away from my own children and grand children!! I just can''t have it all can I!! :pout: Hope that you can perhaps enjoy the Canadian dollar for a holiday soon and come up this way to take advantage of it!

Rae - Hope your tummy issues are resolved! As for you question about my brother's place, yes he has a wharf right on the river just a short walk from his house that over looks the river. It is a wonderful place to spend the hot summer days, but over the past few years the river has become very popular for tubing down and now it is getting busy and a bit noisy. So the spring and fall are the best times to be there when it is too cold to tube. It's a shame because it was always so peaceful and just the locals used to tube down the river and you could visit with them. Now its usually a bunch of drunk noisy tourist. Not all of them are bad of course its just a few but they sure spoil it for those who live along the river!! Anyway having water front is a lot of work so if you win the lottery and buy on a lake or river be sure to have plenty put aside to hire someone to help with constant maintenance! FIL and MIL have lake front and it is continuous work!! But I suppose it is what keeps them going everyday!! So lots of pros and cons about it! :becky: Hope I didn't rain on your dream of having waterfront !! It truly is worth the effort when you look at that gorgeous view everyday!

Ok now its time for another cup of coffee and better get busy before Heather and Mason call to tell me about their weekend. Hope you all have a wonderful Monday!!

Oh, I would love a lake-front or river-front property - well, minus the noisy tourists! We've got be-u-di-ful weather here today -- Chris and Nancy, are you getting some of this? Supposed to hit mid-80's today!! What the what!? We had SNOW less than two weeks ago! LOL

Our office has a staff deck, complete the a table, chairs and lounges. I'm thinking I might have to take my laptop out there and tap into the wifi and work a bit outside ... gee, what a shame.
