Helloooo and Happy Monday!

OMG-- yesterday was the best weather that we had all year so far. We were def. up in the 60's. I spent about an hour outside. I got most of the leaves out of the front garden. It took me forever, but I adjusted. Instead of kneeling, I grabbed a bucket and sat on that. Gary dragged the container of leaves to the back for me when it got full. He said that he was proud of me that I knew to not keep going. Normally on a day like that, I would have been out for hours and gotten a heck of a lot more done. It bugs me that I can't do what I want to do, but it will only take me longer to get better if I push myself now. (If I keep telling myself that, over and over, do you think it will sink in??)

My IL's popped in too for a while. I hadn't seen them since Christmas. They brought up some soft food for Scott- some frozen eggplant parm, chicken pit pies, which was so nice. Leah came over to see him too, and she brought an enormous bowl of mashed potatoes and some matzoh ball soup from her mom.

Today is another nice day so I might do a little bit more out there. I have to get Easter tulips in the ground. I have to go get another round of blood work done first. And my parents are coming up to drop food off for Scott. I guess I won't have to worry about what he will be able to eat for a while:D

And ack!!!!- :faint:
Cait is going for her driver's permit today. She still has to pass the written test and if she does, she will get 3 hours of driving done. I am so not ready to teach another kid how to drive! My poor blood pressure!! hahahaha!

QOTD-- did you teach your kids how to drive or did you have your hubby do it? I did most of the driving with Scott, although Gary had to teach him how to parallel park. I still have a hard time doing that, and thank goodness, there aren't many places it need to be done.

QOTD2- can you parallel park?

good morning - missed you all. But I had a most fantastic quick 5 day trip to Florida with my DIL. Every flight was on time, the car rental pick up and drop off were quick and easy. I rent a jeep Patriot and it was easy and fun to drive. My DIL does not like to drive so I did the driving while she did the navigating. Drove 994 miles. I will be scrapping the trip. The trip was hockey, birding and butterflies and if time the beach. My team lost both games but they were close so it was awesome. The game against the Panthers my DIL was a puck magnet. During on of the commercial breaks a ref came over and threw her a game puck. Then in the 3rd period our NJ Devil Scott Gomez came over and threw her a puck. Sweet! So she gave me one. I was smiling the whole night. Birding was awesome. Woke the first morning to find 2 bald eagles sitting perched on light poles. The at the Ding Darling WLR we saw awesome birds, rosetta spoonbills were my favorite. Lots of shore birds. We took a bird walk and it was awesome. The Corkscrew Swamp Aububon Refuge was so fun with alligators feeding, again shore birds, pilieated woodpecker and red shouldered hawk were my favorites. Went to a butterfly aviary. They were gorgeous along with all the flowers - just amazing. We were able to get so many beautiful photos. I gave my DIL my heavy DSRL which she loves and I used my little one. It was fun to see our photos at the end of the day. Our one free evening we went to Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale. It was a fun Ave of shops and restaurants. Great way to end the day. So now I am back.

Chris so glad that Scott's teeth removal went so well. So glad that finally our NJ temperatures are going up.

Sharon so impressed that you are still tagging. That book sounds so interesting. I really like Fanny Flagg's writing style.

Trudy your garden sounds gorgeous. My backyard is so blah.

QOTD - yes I helped with teaching the boys to drive. My DH did also. I just find that boys are much more aggressive as drivers. And yes I can if necessary parallel park.

Have a great day all!

A quick stop to say "Hi." Just a few more days and I think I'll have time to spend here and start scrapping again. Hurray for the wonderful weather here too.

Nancy what an incredible trip you had. I didn't know there were bald eagles in FLA!

Chris, so good to hear that you had such a nice day, and got to enjoy some good weather.

Nothing much going on here today...a Geezer Trip to Costco and laundry. ...and of course, more Tagging. DS and his family had a BEAUTIFUL trip to Long Beach (WA) during spring break last week. He uploaded about 200 photos, and I snagged about half of them, so will be breaking up the Tagging Sessions with making scrap pages of their week. DS is getting to be a really good photographer. A few of the photos are professional looking!

DH did most of the driver education of our kids, but they also took mandatory professional Driver's Ed.

Yes! I am an amazing parallel parker! On more than one occasion men have stopped to watch me parallel park in a space that looked too small for my car! DH admits I PP better than he does!

One more slurp of coffee, then getting ready for the day.

Go gently!

Morning O-zies!! :rain: here today, I was very busy yesterday getting the house cleaned and then had to run back to the grocery store to get a loaf of french bread (I forgot to get the day before) and also got some applewood cheddar cheese for our company to much on while we chatted. We talked and talked and talked :blah: It was great to see my bother again and they are so brown still from being in the Aussie sunshine and golfing when it wasn't too hot and of course swimming with the kids. So nice for them!! But my brother is getting tired of going back and forth for so long and they think that they will be taking a shorter period of time on the next run back to Australia.

Chris - So nice that the weather was good for you! Hooray for being outside and getting a bit or yard work done!! Take it slow and easy, you will get it all done!! Yikes!! Hard to believe that Cait will soon be driving around on her own. Be patient and I know she will be a good responsible driver!!

Nancy - Your trip with your DIL sounds like it was a great time! Can't wait to see your pictures!!

Sharon - Have fun with your geezer shopping at Costco! I love Costco, but I don't like the bill at the end of the shopping trip :becky: Hope you get to wear your new swimsuit soon too!

Jean - Hope you are able to stay longer soon! You will have lots of scrapping supplies to work with after winning that wonderful grand prize!!

Have a wonderful day everyone, I am off to the pool
