Weather Forecast from NJ: Sunny and cold. Temps might get near 60* this afternoon. The "warm" 70* weather looks like it is going to be Tues and Thurs and both days are supposed to rain. PFFT! I have not been able to get the leaves off of the black-eyed Susans yet and that means they are most likely not going to make it. I had to transplant a bunch of them into that area last year for the same reason. What a dismal spring- I had only one crocus bloom, one hyacinth, and as of now, one very sad and lonely daffodil. Everything is just mucky and muddy - the sump pump is also running practically non-stop still.
Cleaning out under my bed was a bigger project than I thought. I didn't realize how much stuff was crammed into that box. I couldn't throw out all of the stockings either. You never know when you might need a pair (or ten) for a project. ROTFLMAO I kept a few pairs in white, navy, and green. (MIL used to belong to that Silkies club- when they would send you a billion packages of stockings a month, anyone remember that? She gave me alllllll of the ones she never wore and there were a LOT)
The good news is that I was able to get rid of a couple of boxes that were stacked under the window in the BR. I have one more box that needs to be dealt with but that is another big project. At one point, I wanted to digitize all of the photos from Disney that we had taken since Gary and I went on our first trip together in '94. I have a couple of books that I paper-scrapped when the kids were small. After everyone got sick and Disney was no longer something we could do, it was too painful to look at them (happier times and all that). Everything got shoved into a box and that has been ignored since then. It's an eyesore as well as a heart-sore.
Scott had a good day, turned it is was mostly training, going over the new procedures from last year. Today is the first day in the parks and he is pretty excited. He is going to be splitting his days between Up County (where we live in the mountains) and Main County which is mostly city parks. Last year he was 99% Up County but since he is working 10-hour days this year, he thinks splitting the areas will be better. The good news is that he gets to use the work truck to drive between the areas. Paterson, where most of the other city parks are near, is a good 45 minutes from here. Not counting traffic. And if you know *anything* about NJ, it is that there is always traffic LOL If we aren't the most densely populated state we must be in the top 2. *G*
Cait and I are going to fine-tooth comb her tax forms and hopefully get them submitted today. I am going to bundle up and get my rain boots on and do some yard work in the afternoon.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
