Yessiree. It is Monday again and already- the weekend seemed to fly by.

Guess what? It is official- Caitlyn and Tom put the deposit on the venue and have the official date for their wedding. September 13, 2024. And yes, it is a Friday, of course it is. :giggle4: As of now, they think the ceremony will be at 3 pm, with the cocktail hour at 4. Dinner at 5. It's very exciting. I got to show my BFF pics of her in the dress too. That little brat said that she never told me I couldn't, then laughed and said that she believed me that she did, she just couldn't remember. My BFF and I huddled for a few minutes and whispered over my phone.
Scott met us there after work, he only works 15 minutes from them. As soon s he walked in, I realized it was the first time he was there since the Christmas 2021 fiasco. He was dogsitting for BFF while they were on vacation and it was one more wrinkle in the insanity of that week. I drove home with him and checked in to see if it was all good, and he is truly all good. ♥ He is really content with his life and that's all I can ask for. He said that the only thing he wants is to be able to move out, but not for any other reason except that he feels it is time. He's in no rush and likes being here with his kooky family. Again, what more can I ask for? ♥

I have a lot to do today and none of it is anything I would want to do. I am trying to stay on top of cleaning the fridge and freezer. I also need to dust and vacuum everything downstairs.

I don't know why I feel like I am so far behind with scrapping everything. Literally, I cannot keep up. I have been dying to try Karen/Kythe's challenge, every LO is 100% fantastic and creative. I started a page for My Story yesterday about my first steps- I am still stuck in the baby years ;) Plus- I only did 1 additional page for Christopher's album so I still have 7 more to go.

Annnnnd, I am running late again, There is no way I am going to be able to finish here by 8 am. This time, I am gonna blame my dogs since they needed to go out and J was taking *for-ever* to go. hahaha!

xoxo

@BrightEyes It must have felt amazing knowing that Jeff was under the same roof. Did you spend most of yesterday catching up?
It makes me happy that he is there taking care of you too.
Ack!! Those things in your dream sound horrific. *gags a bit*
Hehehe, I know I shouldn't;t be putting so much pressure on dating my baby photos, it's all because of the OCD traits that I have. You should see me agonizing trying to decide if it is 1969 or 1970 because they *HAVE* to be in different folders.
This is me:
#crazy-2

@bcgal00 I was only on FB for a minute or so this morning, I am going to have to go back and stalk your photos., The bighorn sheep must be so darn impressive to see. And they are safe to be around? I think my only impression of them is from the videos of them crashing into each other.
That's too bad that you need to stay in Vancouver overnight, but it is much smarter than trying to drive home.

@Nonni F I think you got the better end of the stick. I would much prefer being inside and warm and doing household chores, than outside freezing my butt off shoveling snow.
Good luck getting all of the kits and stuff off the EHD. Hope that the car ride wasn't too boring. Also-- not too exciting. That usually means nothing good :D

@Cherylndesigns That's great that your hands are feeling better. I hope they stay that way. I wish I had a suggestion about how to keep yourself from itching your eyes- but I can't. I do the same thing (you surprised? Of course, not LOL) For me it is after petting Cait's rats. I am highly allergic to them, so when I pet them I have to wash my hands really well immediately after. If not I rub my eyes and then my cornea bubbles up. If you ever find out how to stop doing that, please tell me. You too, @Nonni F !! :D
Congrats to Casey! That is really neat!

@vickyday That baby outfit is *darling* just the sweetest. I love the colors, it is perfect!

@LSlycord Nooooooo! That is the worst feeling when your computer won't work. Glad that you have a new EHD on the way. And plants! (I am soooo jealous - but happy for you too)
Can't wait for you to share some pics- I saw your pots on FB but I know that you will be scrapping them as well.

I guess I didn't do too badly, it is 8.05 and I am off

Hugs!!

Good Morning!
Quick in and out as I will be leaving here in just a bit for lunch with Mark. Then I will be getting groceries, blekkkk!
My decluttering is at a standstill for now. At least my closet is thinned out (Mark did his this weekend...YAY!), my bed is being made daily, and the kitchen sink/counters continue to be clear! Dishwasher is unloaded for dirty dishes to be added immediately! Mark is also loading his dirty dishes immediately, too! WIN!!!
OK, gotta brush my teeth and be gone!
Have a great day!

Happy Monday ladies! It is a very rainy morning, the house is quiet and I actually had a pretty good sleep last night. DH is back to work and all is right with my little world LOL. Not sure what I will get done today, yesterday was crazy busy as per usual, however I still haven't got all the cleaning done. Had some exciting news from DH's other sister Sharon. Her son and his girlfriend are expecting a baby in September. We are invited to the gender reveal party on the 1st of April. We are all a bit shocked by the news, and MIL is very worried about it. You see Sharon's son has Tourettes syndrome and also was diagnosed with ADD when he was very little. She is concerned that this baby will most likely have some problems too. Who knows?? Right?!! We told them we were very happy for them! MIL and FIL will attend the gender reveal party, but MIL says only if they can catch a ride with us. Well of course we will take them. FIL should not be driving the the Malahat that is for certain!!

@faerywings - How exciting that Caitlyn and Tom have finalized the wedding date!! You must be so happy for them! I know that we all are!! :lovey3:. Isn't it wonderful that Scott is now very content with his life! It has been a difficult year to say the least for him, but you know what they say??? Everything happens for a reason! You did do a fine job of raising your two kiddos!! I hope that Scott finds a place to live, (not that you want him gone of course). Hopefully it will be very near by! How is the house hunting going with Caitlyn and Tom?? Any good prospects out there?? I am feeling the same as you about keeping up with the scrapping, seems my mojo just comes and goes and the last few days it has been hiding somewhere :hiding1:.

@vickyday - Hope you have a lovely lunch with your guy and it sounds like you are doing so well with your cleaning etc! Nice that Mark is joining you on your de-cluttering and keeping the dishes where they belong. Hope your grocery shopping goes well, its not my favourite thing to do either.

Ok I am off to the :showering:and then need to get the house cleaning finished. Oh BTW I finally finished Hunter's painting, here is the finished product. I never imagined I would be doing a painting of Mario and Sonic LOL.

Much later getting in this morning... moving like 'Tin Man' again!!! Not sure what trigger the pain/stiffness this morning. Woke up at 6;20 and realized that Jeff had not woke up at 6AM so he could get on the road to Angel Fire ski valley (a 3 hour drive). I managed to get out of bed and hobble to his bedroom door and woke him up. Got a travel mug with coffee and plastic spoon for his yogurt out for him to take on the trip. Managed to get my cup of coffee but couldn't pull the lid of my yogurt open... Jeff had to opened it for me. Then he got the chair massaging unit set up on the recliner for me before he left. I ate the yogurt and took a double dose of pain meds then spent almost an hour on the massaging unit. I also rubbed the Aspercream into both hands and onto the neck/and back shoulder muscles. Yes, @Cherylndesigns ... I have to be very careful to not rub my eyes after putting the cream on my hands. I put my eyeglasses on and helps to remind me not to touch my eyes. I am moving a tad better now that the cream and pain meds have kicked in. Just as glad this is the ski day for Jeff... so I can rest and try to get better. It is definitely a PJ day for me.

Yes, Jeff was thrilled to ride in my new car yesterday and was a great pack-horse at the grocery store and when we got home. He had several things he wanted there in addition to what I was getting.... plus he was good at making suggestions about a few meals. So I was very glad he was with me and thankful it was a fairly good movement/pain day for me. And, yes... we did a lot of visiting together.

@LSlycord
@BrightEyes so glad that Jeff got there last night. I hope that you had a great time at the grocery store and there is nothing better than having a pack horse to get those groceries in the house. Glad that you are feeling a bit better. Hopefully the winter weather is almost done! Question about the photos when you had long curls...did your mom do them with rags?
No, Linda... after I was dressed in the morning, she take a section hair, use a comb dipped in water to dampen it and then use a brush to brush it around her left index finger into a curl then gently pull her finger out while holding the bottom of curl with other fingers on her right hand. She did it so often, it only took her about 5-6 minutes. The curls would stay in place all day. We didn't have hair spray or mousse at that time but my hair was thick enough it would cling to the long curl shape. I would wear a head scarf if the wind was blowing.

@faerywings So glad that they have picked their wedding venue and date!!! That seems to make it more real! Didn't realize that was the same place where the 'fiasco' had happened! Glad you and Scott had a long talk and he was able to be at that place before the wedding happens. Yes, understand that he is a grown man now and thinking about wanting to have his own place some time in the future. A couple of my grown grandsons are still living with their parents but wanting to move out and be on their own soon. But prices of even rentals are still really outrageous.

@taxed4ever I love Hunter's painting!!! It is so adorable.

The fingers and hands are getting stiff again... so better close this out.

Morning all. Chris @faerywings how exciting about Cait and Tom! That time will be here before you know it. I wish I knew a secret about the hand meds/eye combinationg. I keep Refresh eye drops handy - my eye dr told me I could use them as often as I needed to. She said at least 3 times a day, but more if needed. Of course, we would have the same problem. I have extremely dry eyes and almost everything sets them off. It's so hard to find something that helps my hands and doesn't drive my eyes crazy. Adrienne and I decided that we needed to track that woman down (the one who made the salve that doesn't bother my eyes). We're thinking that the Farmer's Market will be opening soon and if she's not there, I have the info on the bottom of the tin. I know it had black cohash in it and camomile and some other things. I should probably call Casey and see what she recommends I'm sure there's an herb that might help. Isn't that so awesome that she finally got her certification??? I have Camomile so maybe I could make a poultice or something. She's going to eventually be making tinctures, but that's down the road. The equipment is very pricey.

I'll try to stop back in later. I need to do some cleaning and organizing today. My office is getting out of control. I can only stand it so long.

Exciting news about a baby! Yes, only God knows what they will have.....however, you have a 50/50 chance of getting any guesses correct, LOL!

For sure, groceries.....or anything to do with cooking.....is NOT my favorite thing to do, LOL!
Yes, had a nice lunch with DH. Takes about 45 minutes from the time I pick him up til I drop him back off at work. Another half hour for the groceries.....as long as I stick to my list.....and back home. I was going to go to the thrift but decided I needed to try to work on more online passwords. That's another BLEKKKKK!

Good morning ladies. I have been busy with Remi (wanting to be outside with the bit of snow we got this morning) and I'll head out for groceries in a bit. I need ingred for a crockpot roast I want to make tomorrow.

D called Princess cruise and told them the airline change was unacceptable and eventually they relented and gave us an even better flight than we had originally. Now we'll get into Vancouver at 3 pm so will be home around 7:30ish. No overnight hotel needed. I didn't think he would get anything accomplished by complaining to them but I was wrong.

I found an online roll call for the cruise and may end up meeting some of them on the ship. That'll be fun.

We watched the first two episodes of The Blacklist last night, enjoyed it and will be sad to see it ending after this season.

Today I want to scrap, get groceries and go to the dog park.

@faerywings So glad for T&C for booking a venue and having a date. We got married on Oct 13th in honor of our first date which was on Friday the 13th. It must be a little sad to hear Scott say he will be ready to move out soon but then again, be proud that he is so responsible, so ready to start adulting and you know he is going to be just fine. You'll just miss him when he goes.

@taxed4ever Sorry you are getting the rain, we had a bit of snow this morning but clear skies now. The painting is so cute, he will love it!

@BrightEyes Sorry to hear that today is a higher pain day for you. I hope the heat and rest during your jammie day helps.

I'm going to get some CT stuff started and then will head to the store and dog park in a bit. HAGD everyone.

@faerywings A wedding!!!! How fun and exciting. Squeals of delight over here on Maple.

@bcgal00 For the longest time Blacklist was the ONLY show I watched. I don't watch a lot of television. Hate that it has to end. Love that you got a better flight. That's awesome.

@BrightEyes I hope tomorrow is a better day.

I spent a busy morning at work prepping for next Tuesday's election; then took the afternoon off to go to the doctor. My DH pretty much told me not to come home if I didn't see a doctor. LOL Had an exam, xrays and labs and I left with a referral to orthopedics. Ugh. My knees have been a mess for decades. Finally, they have gotten the best of me. Xrays showed effusion, narrowing and spurring. Time to go bionic I fear. I have avoided it as long as possible.
On a positive note.. it's a sunny day here in NH and I'm home early enough to scrap. BONUS
I hope this message finds you all smiling.

Good evening ladies. Sydney called this afternoon...the study abroad is back on!! o_O They sent her an email telling her that she should start looking for airfare, getting her Covid vaccination card uploaded, etc. Of course, they didn't tell her any of the other people that are going. Theoretically they needed 10 to travel. So there should be nine others. I told her that she needed to make an appointment to talk to the people in the international program office and find out when she will find out the names of the other students. Why she asked? So we can perhaps coordinate some travel arrangements. Can you handle getting to Germany on your own? Yes, but would I rather you not! YES!

We have company coming for dinner Wednesday night. They own one of the other dogs that was in Andie's litter. We only know each other from Facebook. They are from San Francisco and they are flying in for the PGA Golf tournament and they (well Lyn wanted) to come meet Andie. So they are coming for dinner Wednesday night. I'm going to do lasagna, Caprese salad, garlic bread and cheesecake. So grocery shopping and some prep work tomorrow!

Friday night we are showing our house to the people who are in from Minneapolis this week, looking for a house with a pool and in our school district. This week is feeling a little bit busy/crazy!

@Nonni F I'm glad that you got to the doctor about the knees. And I'm glad that you got home early today!!!!

@bcgal00 I can't believe that DH was able to get the plane reservations improved! Very, very good work by him!

@Cherylndesigns I sure wish that you could find something for the hands that would work without bothering your eyes! It is really a struggle to keep all of the parts of the body working at once.

@vickyday I hope that you will make it through the online passwords soon.

@BrightEyes I love to hear how you hobbled to Jeff's bedroom to get him up. Once a mom, always a mom! I hope he had a good day on the slopes. And I hope that the weather will settle down so that the pain goes away.

@taxed4ever that painting for Hunter!!! Oh he is going to be so crazy about that! Hope you can find that mojo!

And @faerywings Cait and Tom have a wedding date. When I saw it was the 13th, I knew it had to be a Friday! I love it! And glad that Scott showed up to take a look. Such an amazing family that you have created. :hug2: I am so, so happy for you!

Ok...I'll talk to you all later.
