CHEERY O
Good morning!!

Happy weekend to everyone!
It is just luscious here, I look out my window and in the last week-- everything is green, green, green!! My tulips are looking pretty, too! I love this time of year when everything is coming back to life. It makes me feel the same. Cait too-- she wore this adorable white lace fit and flare dress to school (with my flowered Dr Martens!) and a little white flowers in here hair. She looked precious. She got so many compliments at school, someone even said that she looked like a faery, which I agreed with. She is feeling better about everything too. Scott is almost done with this semester, and I think that both of us are freaked by that, but for very different reasons.;)

Today is another nice day, but I might have to try to do a electrolyte IV. My liver enzymes are finally dropping, not normal, but much closer. I am going to restart IV Rocephin on Monday. But that means no Ringer's. The combo of the 2 binds calcium in the blood and damages the kidneys. Lovely. :ohwell: But if I can do a ringer's today, and start Rocphin on Monday, at least I won't be too shaky tomorrow. I did a ringer's on Thurs and yesterday I didn't feel to shaky until te afternoon, and that was after I spent an hour outside clearing out dead leaves from the garden *and* I went with Cait and Jaida for a (very) short walk.

I have to say-- reading the exchange in yesterday's Ooo's, I was LMBO!!

I try to not to channel my inner Grammar Bitch too often but sometimes things that are said (not here as much as on FB posts or comment sections), because I know that I have my share of quirks. I drive Gary insane when I say a whole 'nother (fill in the blank). And I say Six and a half dozen instead or six or a half dozen. I also have a tendency to end sentences with prepositions. But I do try to read over my postings and try to correct the worst grammar/spelling offenses.
My Lyme has ruined my speech- literally. I cannot find words to the point that I will not speak at all. I told Gary when we were food shopping that it wasn't worth the trouble because I couldn't remember what I was trying to say or the words that came out of my mouth might not even have been English. I am not exaggerating either, although I wish I were.

But some things people write make me want to pull out my hair.

What are you going to do this weekend? Anything special for Mother's Day? Trudy, you celebrate Mother's Day earlier than the US IIRC?
My parents are bringing bagels for breakfast tomorrow but that is it. I feel terrible, I wanted to make gifts for my Mom, MIL and Leah's mom but it just never happened. I still have to today to work on something if I can.

Love and hugs to all of you!

I think I am officially on my 3rd cup of coffee but I still can't seem to get my brain awake.

Here are quickies from yesterday and I apologize in advance for being semi-MIA this past week/month/year :p

Nancy- ugh, that stinks about property taxes. In a way it is good that we will have a mortgage until the day we die since they are all part of that bill, it makes it much easier to ignore them.
You and Trudy are too funny about the Hockey Playoffs!

Trudy- That pub looks like it would be phenomenal! What a beautiful photo! I hope that your SIL can move on as well. Maybe this will help her psychologically find closure.
One of the most maddening things about ticks is the amount of different diseases and different strains of the diseases that they can carry. Different co-infections respond to different meds. And even within the Borellia burgdorfori bacterium, different strains can react to different antibiotics. Isn't that insane?
Is Heather getting used to the noise of her Dyson yet? But I am sure that she is happy with the power of it, especially little cracker and cookie crumbs! How is Mason doing?

Sharon- I am responding to your WOOOOT!!!!! I think I heard it here on the East Coast a little while ago!! I am so HAPPY for our son!! A big congrats on the house!!!!
And so happy to hear that your DGD is smiling. Cait went through and Emo phase too and still dresses mostly in black. She told me that someone said that she looked weird wearing that white dress yesterday LOL. It is always good to see that someone you love is happy.
ITA-- no excuse for prolly ;)

Morning ladies... another gloriously sunny day here again today! We are headed out the door to get some good soil for the new garden area in the back. I am ready to get my pots planted and my hanging baskets also. Then on Sunday we are hosting a Mother's Day supper for MIL and the youngest SIL and her family. SIL's son is leaving for Haida Quay on the 17th to do another stint of being a fishing guide. It is a great job for him, he has tourette syndrome and has had a difficult time trying to find steady work. His tourette is not too bad, just a constant tick, no loud noises or swearing or anything like that. So it will be a good time to say good-bye to him for 4-5 months. The rest of the year he works for his Dad who has a gardening/landscape business. SIL is no longer married to the Dad, but they are on good terms with each other. Well now that I have told you stuff you probably did not want to hear about, I will shut up :tape: :becky:

Chris - So happy that you are enjoying the beauty of Spring!!! I hope you get outside again today with your new puppy!! Hooray for Cait, looking so sweet in her white lace and flowers in her hair, she is a beauty and I bet she was stunning in her outfit!! Heather is very happy with her Dyson, she just can't vacuum when Mason is sleeping, it wakes him up  But yes she is loving how good it cleans! Yesterday and today they had someone in to replace the countertops in the kitchen, then they are having the cupboards refinished also!! Things are falling into place and her little house will look all brand new, she has such a small kitchen, but it is good for her as she does not need to use her walker when she is in it, she can reach everything without it. LOL. Mason is keeping her very busy, but she is a great Mommy and spends hours on end playing with him and getting tons of sweet hugs and kisses. He adores her and wants her to see everything that he is doing. Its a constant Momma, Momma, Momma look at me!! LOL

Sharon - Woooo Hoooo for your DD and her house!!! Finally!! So happy for her and for all of you! How nice to see that your DGD is so happy and has met someone she cares for so much!! Perhaps she will get out of her "DARK" phase now? You are right there is no excuse for prolly!! LOL. Sounds like you and your Capt. Romance had a fabulous day together!! DH and I are supposed to golf in a fun tournament with the office he works at next weekend. Neither one of us has golfed in years, we will have to blow the dust off of the clubs, it should be good for a laugh!! I am hoping it will make DH remember that golfing can be fun and good exercise and that we should probably take it up again!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Ok better get some breakfast started and get showered and ready for the day! I hope that all of you who pop in today have a spectacular day!!

good morning - yesterday was glorious - Sharon you weather must have moved east - thanks! It was warm and humid. Awesome for walking. And all the trees are in bloom I love the pink and white dogwoods. Today is cloudy but it should burn away. I went to bed after the last hockey game around midnight and did not wake up until 9am. I guess I needed my sleep. Today I have nothing planned but would love to mow my lawn but my mowers broke but luckily my mechanic son is going to try to fix it. I have not plans for this weekend and have heard nothing about what is happening for mother's day LOL Perhaps a surprise.

Chris so glad things are blooming up by you too. How fun to take the new puppy for a walk no matter the length. How fun that Jaida is adding such happiness to your family!

Trudy that Pub is gorgeous. I hope your SIL feels better. Sorry about the Flames. Those Ducks are a scary team.

Sharon so fun to have a day that so exceeds expectations! Congrats on the closing with the house. So glad you DGD is smiling.

Have a great day all!

Slow morning if one of the left-coast girls is the only one joining Chris! LOL

Another gorgeous day here. DH plans to dig out a few plants that died over the winter, and put together our new LOCKING mailbox. It has been hard to accept that in our sweet little suburban neighborhood, there have been some mail thefts. I'm seeing more and more locking mailboxes. Wonder how long till the theives figure out how to get around that!

Tics are more of a bain to our existance than I ever dreamed. You have given me quite an education, Chris. Very scary about losing your words. DH and I both do that more often, but we associate it with getting older. When I'm writing something, I will have to stop and go find him and describe what word I want that I can't "find," and between the two of us, we'll come up with it. Just last week, when I made the cartoon page of DGS in jail, I couldn't think of the word "busted." I went through all kinds of contortions trying to get Dave to find me the word! It's like a Senior Version of Charades!

I often end my sentences with prepositions. It just sounds soooooo contrived to figure out how to avoid it sometimes! But I refuse to give into the "Me and Dave played golf Thursday" effrontery.

DD got to meet The Boyfriend last night. She confirmed that he is a very nice young man. I hope we get to meet him on our next trip to Utah. Speaking of which, DD and DSIL begin The Big Pack this weekend. This will be their 13th move in 16 years. Praying it is the last one for many many many many years. I hope more than anything they will be able to stay put for the sake of the children.

I got some nice pix on the golf course the other day. Think I may do Challenge 6 with them today.

Made a good Hair Discovery yesterday. I've gotten very lazy with my hair the last few years. It really only needs washing twice a week max, but now that I'm swimming 3 days a week..... So yesterday after my shower, I put the curl-grabbing product in my hair, then just let it air-dry. It turned out good! So, no more blow-drying for me!

Am I rattling on and on about nothing? Putting off work, I guess (dishes in the sink from last night...sorting the scrapbook pages I just got back from Persnickety Prints....). So, though it has been fun having coffee with y'all, guess I'd better sign off and meet Saturday head-on.

WoW! We are GOOD! Cross-posting with Trudy AND Nancy! LOL

Glad you are getting some of our nice weather back east. Just don't steal it all! (Actually, rain is comin' Monday or Tuesday, and I won't hold you responsible!)

Trudy, sounds like a nice Mother's Day for you. DS has invited us for dinner (Clara's dad). I asked if I could bring anything, and he said, "NO! It's Mother's Day!" I said, "Well, Julie is a mother too!" He said, "That's why I'm cooking!" He usually barbecues something, and is a better cook than I am, so it should be wonderful on their beautiful lake-facing deck. Nancy, I hope something awesome happens for you too...AND YOU CHRIS!

Happy Sunday!!! woo hoo!!!

Here is a Happy Mother's Day wish to all of you-- to all women: if you have ever given birth to a child or to an idea, to a piece of artwork or to words from the heart. If you have a child in Heaven, or one waiting to be born. If you are a mom to a child with fur, or wings, or scales. We are all Mothers. We are Love.

I know that Mother's day can be a difficult time for some, and I always try to recognize that the definition of Mother does not, and should not be limited to those only with a child.

Yesterday Gary and I officially adopted our Little Jaida! She is so darn adorable! I hope that no one minds that I am going to add Gushing about my Puppy to the list of things that I blabber on about (there is that preposition at the end LOL). Sh eis doing really well here, a couple of accidents in the house, but is getting the hang of going outside. We think that she is closer to 14 weeks old based on her vax record, but when we get her in to the vet, we should know better.

Today, we are having b-fast with my parents here, then who knows what else?

Paperwork...and filing. And getting ready to pay bills...
Maybe some yard work and/or scrapping?
Playing with the puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope that you all have a truly lovely day!

good morning - yesterday stayed cloudy and it was blah. But I did have fun as my youngest son and I went and got new phones. I went big and got the new iPhone6+. It is big and I am liking it a lot. I can now see what I am doing. Got several scrap pages done while watching hockey. The hockey game did not end as I hoped but I guess that is good as I get more hockey. Read that my team resigned Jordin Tootoo so I am very happy he will be back next year. Today I have 3 hockey games to watch. I have the USA playing in the IIHF World Championships, then Rangers/Caps and finally Ducks/Flames. For me the perfect Mother's Day TV. LOL Turns out my oldest is doing a lunch at his home. That should be fun. And my youngest said my my present is on back order so he told me and he got me the new iWatch. Sweet.

Chris enjoy those bagels and the visit with your parents.

Sharon 13 moves in 16 years is way more than I could take! I have not moved since we bought our home in 1979. Now I can't move because I have too much stuff. LOL Glad the boyfriend got the thumbs up from your daughter.

Trudy have a great day hosting your Mother's Day dinner. Growing up I never thought their were jobs like fishing guides. I might have gone in another direction if I had know there were jobs like this.

Have a great Mother's Day!
