Happi iNSD- have you all see the sales going on? Crazy good!
So looking back at my post from yesterday where I said thatI was going to clean my office and the kitchen, yeah, that didn't happen. I did dishes and cleaned the counters but that was about it. My office is still a disaster. I was able to get some of the jars painted for the mother's day gifts so that was good. I also made tacos for dinner-- turkey for me, Gary, and Scott and tofu for Cait. But darn it- it takes hours to do that. The tofu has to be frozen, then defrosted. Then it has to get "marinated" in the seasoning., which sounds gross but Cait says is good. It is soy sauce, peanut butter, chili powder, hot sauce, and cumin. (I know, weird, right?!)Then crumbled and cooked for 20 minutes, then stirred up and cooked for another 20 mins. It is the waiting for the timer that makes it so hard. It is like roasting a turkey where you have to keep basting it over and over.
But it was a yummy dinner and I have leftovers so I don't think I am cooking tonight if there is enough.
I spent way too much time trying to really dig into the health"care" debacle. I truly do not understand how the Republicans think that "access" to healthcare is available if you cannot afford it. I paid $600/month just for myself pre-ACA for really crappy coverage. I don't have that kind of money to buy health insurance nowI don't have enough money to cover our current bills, let alone an addition $500 month- assuming that my premiums will still be at the pre-ACA level rather than more, now that I am older and have more pre-existing conditions. I better :tape:because I don't want to add "Ulcer" to that list.
Today I am off to the food pantry and need to get home and unpacked before my parents come over to bring me their car. And speaking of insurance, I hope that my car insurance won't go up too much. :scared: At least I won't be dumping lots of money into my car so there is that.
Monday Gary and I are going to have to to the DMV to register it. Yippeee, that is one of my favorite places to me. heck, at least I don't have to bring kids for any more road tests. *bright side*
Hoping all of you have sunshine in your days!
xoxo
