I'm! I'm so relieved that the place is still standing. I guess @tanteva didn't find out that I was gone? Whew! The last time I was away for a few days, she came in here and started throwing ketchup all over the place. What a mess I had to clean up :mopping:
I missed you all but it was nice to get away. It felt amazing to get some stuff done for my mom too. I think she would have preferred that I sit on the sofa or deck and do nothing but that wasn't the deal for me. I took down and replaced the fairy lights in the screen room. My dad was going to do that, but now why in the world would I let an 83 yo man with known balance issues climb up and down a ladder if I could do it?? I brought their new firepit out and set that up (my mom offered to help me carry it, it wasn't that heavy, and sure, let the lady with heart and kidney failure drag that around. Again *SMH!!*) On the way home,e, my mom was complaining that my dad hasn't painted the new door yet. Why didn't you ask me to do that, Mom?? Her answer: I didn't want you to work hard all day.
*slaps forehead*
It would have taken me an hour, maybe two since I would be more careful about taping off the glass than I would do in my own house.
She says: I didn't think you would be able to paint it (see the switcheroo??).
My answer: Who do you think does the painting here? Gary is a mess and isn't allowed to paint. Woodworking-- 100%, painting that is alllll me

My gawd. *blinks rapidly* This is what I deal with. And nope, I don't mind at all. well, maybe a little because I wish she didn't feel the need to take care of *me* when I want to be able to spoil her at this point.

It's gorgeous here today, sunny and dry, and shouldn't be too hot. My dad's Fire Dept hosts a Memorial Day Parade, ceremony, and then an open house at back at the firehouse. He went up there last night to start setting up and then he works the grill or serves food today. He thinks he is invincible and I understand why my mom gets aggravated that he pushes himself. I try to remind her that it makes him feel useful and still alive and that is a good thing. No one will change him at this stage of the game.

It should be quiet here today. Scott's working a 12-hour shift. Going to be busy in the parks today. Gary is planning on going to a gaming (?) convention - he's meeting up with the guy that sells the mini-arcades that he helped design. I hope he is feeling better than last night, he was having trouble getting his sugar to stop dropping really low. Cait's here but she didn't get home until 3 am. Me-- I don't have too much to do at all other than run some laundry. I have to catch up on scrap work here and then the afternoon will be *mine!!!* Muahahahah!! BTW-it looks like my plants all doubled in size while I was gone, all 48 hours :D
Definitely heading out in the yard.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day. And a grateful one.

I am going to try my best to catch up with everyone but sorry in advance if I miss something. Or you can't understand my bouncing around. Though that is my MO on a good day ;)

@taxed4ever Your Gary is amazing, love the kayak rack! Sounds like you and Linda are really having a great time out there. Have the guys taken a turn with them?
Did you get to drop off the painting yesterday? Bet she loved it!
Sounds like a wonderful time with your cousin and Wendy. he must be a lot of fun to hang with. How is your Gary feeling today after the root canal? Maybe he'll be feeling just tired enough where you won't have to run errands today LOL

@Nonni F Did you survive the "Permit Crush" yesterday? If your weather is anywhere nice and mine is, you will love being outside too. the kitties will too.
Your Friday meme made me LMBO! :drunk::giggle4:
You got the book?? You are going to have to let me know if you like it. I found it fascinating!!
Do you do anything with your vet friends on Monday? Sending love, thanks, and support to you and them and those lost ♥

@bcgal00 Oh wow, I love that you are helping the birds with the windows. Caitlyn's school has the same problem and she came home very distressed when she first started working there. I don't; know if it's the same film, but they have tried to do something to her building windows to keep the birds from flying into them. I hope that the city steps up and high-5s to you for helping.
You are busy nonstop, how fun to be meeting new people. I have to check out your photos on FB (they are posted there?).

@Cherylndesigns Woo-hoo on finding chocolate that you can eat and not pay for it afterward.
How are your transplants doing? I had to force myself not to move some plants around at my mom's house. I wanted to move ferns next to the shed and some of the marigolds to a planter bucket but I behaved.
How is Lila, is she able to get around your house with her vision problems?
The nail polish sounds pretty and with a little bit of a tan -bet it shows off gorgeously!

@vickyday Good luck and have a wonderful time with the family!! I hope that the weather is perfect for you and that everyone gets to hang out by Mark's cabin

Hey Arline-- if you invite me over, we can sit on the catio and read- that counts for being social right?

I better get that laundry in so I can have the afternoon to myself. Have fun today!

Good morning ladies. Up early and will hop in the shower in a minute b/c I could get a phone call anytime to say to come pick up Darrell. I took him into the Emerg Dept last night. His Crohn's has been acting up and he has a fistula. He seems to get one every year or so. I can tell b/c he gets very lethargic, has a lot of discomfort that progresses to heavier pain and loses his appetite. I think he should have gone in a few days ago but he refused until last night. He called me at 11:30 to say he was still waiting to see a doctor, probably a GE. I'm expecting a phone call this morning to come get him after they drain it.

Jen and I were going to go to Costco this morning but that'll have to wait. I have the travel seminar this afternoon so if D is home by then I might still go. I'll see how he is doing.

I enjoyed the coffee group yesterday. One of them arranges a morning coffee meetup at a park every week so I might go next week. She also arranges game night, sometimes just the ladies and sometimes with spouses, so D will enjoy meeting a few of the husbands.

I put a hummingbird feeder out on the porch a few days ago, no luck yet but fingers crossed. I miss the hummers from our other house, where they came every day.

@faerywings Welcome back, glad you enjoyed your time with your mom. Jen is painting my door for me tomorrow. She enjoys doing that. She did a great job painting the bedroom last week. That's a long day for S but at least its something that he enjoys doing. Hope G's blood sugars are stable today and he gets out. I wish you were here, you would probably be happy to get out in my front yard and dig away, getting the weeds out :) I'm going to have to deal with that in the next few days but its so hot here. It's only in the 80's this week but it feels so much hotter, I guess b/c of the dry heat.

I'd better go and shower before I get a phone call to go back to the hospital. HAGD everyone.

WooHoo Chris @faerywings is back!! We missed you in here, but we carried on. I guess Eva didn't catch wind of your being gone. She did make a ketchup mess last time, didn't she???:floorlaugh: Sounds like you got quite a bit done at the lake house. Your mom cracks me up. "Just ask, Mom". Hahaha The door painting would have taken you no time at all. Well, it sounds like you had a good time and you know that you're going to have some of that from her. :rolleyes1:

Yes, it's great to find some chocolate I can eat and not pay for it. I can only eat a couple (well 4 last night) but who's counting? Chuck keeps an eye on me if I have more than that. I only eat "a couple" every few evenings. I used to be a terrible chocaholic and then all of a sudden, I could not eat it without bad repercussions, so I just quit. I really can't tolerate sweets, except in very small and infrequent amounts. It really sucks, quite frankly.

Lila gets around fine in the house - when she has to run from Adrienne's house to ours or vice versa, we think she can only vaguely see. We each have to stand out and clap and keep calling her and she comes to our voices. Poor little thing. We were talking about her after the party and I think they're going to try to follow up on having at least one of her cataracts removed. Somebody on here, I think it was Trudy @taxed4ever suggested maybe doing one eye. I'm watching the babies that I moved to pots - some of my herbs, Cilantro plants. They're looking a little peaked, but they didn't make it in the back last summer, remember? It just burned them out. This year, if it gets horribly hot, I can put the pots up next to the house and shield them. The front garden only gets sun for not quite half a day, so it thrives. The back just got fried last year and we watered every day. The plants I transplanted into the ground look great. I moved some Tarragon and some catnip and they look good. I almost bought some of the ferns that you were talking about - I just love them. I'm getting a little bit of a tan - and you're right - the nail polish looks good. I also bought some of that Jergens Natural Glow Lotion. It has a bit of a self-tanner in it but doesn't have that icky smell that most of them have. Adrienne uses it all the time and she wanted me to try it. It's day 3 and I can tell I'm getting a little darker. I have some coming from Amazon and I might put it on every other month reorder and go to the darker shade - I got the lightest shade to start with. I've had some self-tanners that didn't look so good, but I think I like this one.

Well, I'm glad you're back and Happy Memorial Day. Waving to all who stop in later and sending hugs to anybody who needs one.

Good Morning everyone! Yup I am here on a Saturday :nod1: . My Gary was up very early and decided to go back to bed to see if he can catch up on his lost sleep. It's very quiet here! Its a bit cooler and there are some clouds building up in the distance, maybe rain?? We sure need it! Today is our usual running around town kind of day, perhaps I will convince my Gary that we should hit the farmers market downtown and make a stop at Rembrandt's Chocolates. They make sugar free chocolates for people like us who have given up sugar and for diabetics too. It is super good and you would never know that there is not a drop of sugar in them. We love the almond bark the best! I bet I won't have any trouble persuading Gary to make a stop there. :ilovechocolate:. I will be thinking of you @Cherylndesigns when we are enjoying our treats! Other than our usual chores there isn't too much else happening here until tomorrow when we will tackle the backyard. Still lots of weeding to do and we need to power wash the fence and transplant a Rhodo from a huge pot to the ground. I have a couple more layouts to post to the gallery this morning too.

@faerywings - Welcome back home! We missed your smiling face!! Glad that you got so much done for your Mom! Yes, she should have let you paint the door, it would not have taken very long at all right?!! Hooray for the beautiful day for you! Oh and no the guys have not gone in the kayaks yet, they don't seem to be very interested in going at least not yet. My Gary is feeling very good after his root canal, at least he lets on that he is LOL. Probably why he went back to bed this morning, to catch up on some lost sleep because of the discomfort? He is glad that it is done, but he has to go back in June to get a check up and some finishing up work done. I have never had a root canal so I am not sure what the procedure is like. I only know that I hope I never have to have one ! I hope you get lots of time in the garden today! Enjoy the sunny warm weather!

@Nonni F - Sending you lot of hugs and :thankyouspin:for your service in the military!! I know it will be a weekend of remembrance for you! I hope you get to spend some of your weekend outside with your kitties on the Catio!

@bcgal00 - You are one busy lady!! Poor D having to be at the hospital, sure hope he gets to come home very soon!! Glad to hear you enjoyed your coffee group yesterday and hope that you both get to know some new friends with the game night! Sorry you won't be going to Costco with Jen, but it will always be there and you can go another day. Hope you get to your travel seminar this afternoon and that your D is feeling so much better!!

@Cherylndesigns - All that sugary stuff used to bother my tummy too! I am so happy that we found this chocolate place downtown! Since giving up sugar I find anything sweet almost sickening, but this chocolate is just the right amount of sweet and dark choco goodness!! I will have to check out that lotion, I would love to look like I have some kind of tan LOL.

Ok it time to get busy and get some brunch. It will be a full day of errands etc. Have a great Saturday everyone! :bye2:

Trudy, @taxed4ever I'd love to find a chocolate store like that - and please do think of me while you're indulging. :ilovechocolate: I need to look around in town. One day, in a boutique, the owner was giving away handmade truffles and maybe we can go back in there and see if they were local. Another thing you might want to try, for some color, Adrienne had me get this bronzer for my face. I put it on with my moisturizer because I have such dry skin. It's L'Oreal True Match Lumi Glotion. I really like it, too. I told you girls that she was the makeup queen.

Nonni @Nonni F I forgot to thank you for your service.

Good morning Ozies!!!! (In my very best impersonation of Good morning Viet Nam!) I am back! And boy does it feel good. I feel like I've been in a marathon. Or maybe a time warp. I don't really know what it has felt like but it sure feels good to be back to normal...well, as normal as we get anyway.

Thursday night we slept on air mattresses in the old house and last night we had the beds up with sheets and blankets. I've colonized my office space and have found the computers, electrical cords, mouse, etc, etc. So, is it possible...will I get a ColorPlay layout done this weekend. You know how I love ColorPlay.

Strangest thing ever...the temperature here has been upper 60's and lower 70's. No way does that happen here...yet it does. Had the doors and the windows open while the movers were here. They left and I went to turn on the AC. Nothing. Brian looked at it. Nothing. Keep in mind this is new construction. The AC really needs to work. So we called the building site manager...he came over. Something about the float on the AC had overflowed. Good grief. The guy was able to get it fixed and the AC guy will be out on Tuesday. If it stops working before then, the AC guy will be out sooner. No one wants to meet Linda when it's a hot day and there is no air conditioning.

I have taken it easy since I'm not supposed to be lifting anything...and honestly, my stamina is low. But Shaun has stepped up and been such a big help. Sydney's room is just piled full of boxes but she is happily wandering around Belgium this weekend so she doesn't care. They had a big project this past week with a presentation on Friday so I didn't get to talk with her much. But we got a good FaceTime call yesterday so that made me happy. The dogs spent the day in doggy day camp where she used to work so she spent most of the time watching them on the camera. Then, this morning, she took the train and headed from Osnabruck to Brussels via Amsterdam. They have a three day weekend so they will get a chance to spend some good time looking around before heading back for classes next week. Three weeks from yesterday and she will be home. You all know how excited I am about that.

So recap of the last two months. On 3/1, a realtor reached out to ask if we would be interested in selling our house. Mid-March, the husband took a look at it. On 4/14, the wife flew in from MN and looked at it and they made an offer that afternoon. We looked at houses until 4/26 when we wrote the contract on this. Both kids finished their spring semesters of school. Syd moved home and then left for Germany. We packed up the house, we moved, and here we are. Six weeks...I might be too old for all of this. But it didn't seem to kill me.

And, just one more thing this past week. I now have two new great nephews. Witt and Wyatt...no complications. They are the most adorable little guys. One 5 lbs 9 oz and one 6 lbs 4 oz.

Ok, I'm off to catch up on some personals. Baking some bread and then we will head over to the ocean after supper. Take a walk along the beach. Lots more stuff that needs to be taken care of around here but it feels good to have this done.

Good afternoon @faerywings. Sounds like you had some really good quality time with your parents. I'm so happy for that...even if they did think they were there to spoil you a bit too. Sorry that Gary is having trouble with his blood sugars. Hope he felt like going to the convention. And that sounds like a very long day for Scott but I know that he loves what he does and remembering his struggle to find a permanent job, I'm just feeling happy today that he is out there enjoying the day. I know that you are too.

@bcgal00 I'm sorry that D was sick. I sure hope that the doctor's were able to take care of it and he is now back home. I love that you met some new people. I am excited that there are some people here to meet. There is a group of ladies who walk at sunrise a few days a week so I'm hoping to get myself on that rotation. And I've joined a monthly book club and next week is my first chance to participate. There is also a Foodie group that meets weekly so I think that both Brian and I are going to try that on Tuesday. I really would like to meet a few people. Hoping to try a new church in the morning too.

@taxed4ever so glad that you are enjoying the kayaks and the good weather. I have a large double window where my desk is and I'm thinking that I may plant a small hibiscus garden right outside. The windows go almost to the floor and so I'll really be able to check on them everyday. I may also throw a couple of roses in there. We are having a 6 ft privacy fence installed on Tuesday and I'm sure that would make a nice back drop for my flowers.

@Cherylndesigns I have loved the graduation pics...I really enjoyed listening to B's speech. How far is the U of Arkansas from where you live? You will sure miss him.

@Nonni F thank you for your service. Hope you have a good weekend of remembering.

Ok all. Big hugs to everyone. Wish me luck finding my mojo.

LINDA!!! @LSlycord Not shouting, just excited to see you in here!! What a whirlwind you've all been on and you know my favorite saying? "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger". We're never too old to step up to the plate and git 'er done! Our last move cross country proved that to me - however, I don't want to do that again. I'm SO happy for you and your family to be in your new home and dang, can anything go right? New home; NO AC. Yikes - I know it's cool there, but that can change in a heartbeat. I hear ya - no AC Cheryl isn't a pretty picture either. I'll bet Syd is having the time of her life - that girl is something else, isn't she? I'm so happy to hear that Shaun has stepped up and been so helpful. Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my post of B's commencement speech. We were bustin' our buttons, I tell you! I've watched it so many times and it makes me chuckle each time - he literally wrote it that day. Yes, we'll miss him but he'll only be about an hour and a half away. I'm sure the crew will be going to some football games.

Did you catch my post that Steph and Asher are moving near us? His dad, new wife, dad's sister and her family and Steph and Asher are all moving to Missouri - I'm not happy that they couldn't just come over here, but I'll take what I can get. It will be a short meetup. We'll work on getting them here after they move to MO. They share custody and she won't even consider moving more than a few minutes from him. WHATEVER :rolleyes1: :rolleyes1: She also has a great job opportunity, working from home and making a lot more than she's making now. Fingers crossed. She needs benefits too. They're planning on getting out here before Asher's and his sister's son start school in the fall. His sister's little boy is about 8.

I just had to jump on here and catch up with you. Isn't the May Color Play amazing?????

Hugs and XOXO

I better get that laundry in so I can have the afternoon to myself. Have fun today!
The rain was not bad for several hours. The kids and adults had lots of fun on the trails, even in the misty, cold drizzle, high of 57 temperature. The cabin was warm for us older ladies , including Ilene. We packed up after lunch when it started raining harder and moved the activities to my daughter's house where we ate supper. We celebrated my DGD's graduation. We will all attend church together tomorrow, Lord willing, go to lunch and then go out separate ways..... the weekend having passed too quickly!

Please tell me that you are having the same weather that we are in NJ. Sunny and clear blue skies. It's too cold for me ATM but should get into the upper 70s, close to 80 this afternoon. Just wonderful!

I did exactly what I set out to do yesterday. Laundry, scrapped, mopped the floors, and went outside. I have this incredible groundcover- spotted dead nettle- that has spread so much since I bought one pot last year. I took four offshoots and transplanted them under the small maple tree. I hope that they take- they will look amazing if they do. I took three small shoots a few weeks ago and put those in front of my sage - 2 of the three look good, with new leaves coming out. The middle one- well, let's say that I will give it a few more weeks before I pull it out. Just in case. :D

Gary had a nice time at the whateveryouwanttocallit. Convention makes it sound much bigger and more official than it is. LOL Either way, I was thrilled that he was able to get out and stay for much of the day.
My SIL posted this on her FB page and I stole it (it's not *really* stealing - if it's on FB she knows its fair game for me to take them so I can scrap them hehe)
Look at how cute my parents and Christopher are! Did I tell you that he is taller than me now? He'll be taller than my parents in no time!

@bcgal00 How is D doing? Poor guy, that must be awful and painful. Do the fistulas ever go away on their own or was he just being A Man in not wanting to go when you suggested? Hope that he is home and not in any discomfort and able to take it easy.
The coffee and game group sounds like a lot of fun. There is a 55 and up group that meets in my town and I'll be eligible in a few weeks but I am in denial that I'm going to be in that age bracket :lalalala:
I was given a hummingbird feeder last year and I put it up yesterday. It came with the sugar mix but I know everyone just makes their own. *fingers crossed that you get a ton of birds soon*
Yet again, I regret that I don't have the superpower to teleport. That's my main wish. LOL I would *love* to come visit and help with your weeding. Or help Jen with your door.

My mom said that she told my dad he should have paid someone to paint the door. He had asked and it was going to cost $300!!!! To which he said, that is ridiculous. I concur. I told her I work for wine. Do you have any idea how many doors I could paint for $300 worth of *my* wine? (Black Box Pinot Grigio is $22 hahahahah!!!!)

@Cherylndesigns Tom's dog Beau was blind and deaf for his last few years but managed to get around the house pretty ok. They must feel the vibrations. I know Ray did after she lost her hearing, she would still shake when there was thunder. That's a great idea to get one eye done for Lila. She is still quite young, right?
hahah! I was going to have you ask Adrienne the Make Up Queen what kind of self-tanner she recommends. I need color. I know it is sooo bad for you but I love the look of being tan. Does she have any rec's for face tanners?

@taxed4ever Welp, I was hoping that your Gary would take the day to recover but I am glad that he isn't feeling bad after the root canal. Did it ever rain by you? Did you get some of that chocolate? Almond bark sounds sooo good! I while back, I made a dark choc/almond/sea salt bark. Now ya got me drooling a bit thinking about it haha!

Takes note: L'Oreal True Match Lumi Glotion
Thanks, Adrienne!

@LSlycord There you are!!!! How does it feel to be in the new house? Slowly but surely getting settled. :) And you did it! I know last month, you didn't seem too sure that you were gonna survive. I can't wait to see some pics of it. Your recap/timeline made me shudder.
*fingers crossed the AC stays working* I know how angry I get when we don't have heat. I bet you are the same when you don't have AC.
Congrats on the babies!!!! #cheer-3
Good sizes for twins!! Are you still planning on visiting this summer?
What's the countdown to Syd being home now? Just another week or so?

Again, I wish I could teleport. What I would give to be able to watch the ocean with you and then have some coffee and time to chat.

@vickyday ugh, so sorry that the weather didn't cooperate all that much. But it sounds like you had a nice time with everyone and this time tomorrow everything will be normal again :p

And a better job too? :dancingelephant: Life just doesn't get much better. Glad that University of Arkansas isn't too far! He will undoubtedly be bringing home lots of friends to the compound. So much for you guys to look forward to.

And yep, I've lived through the move so I'm definitely stronger. LOL

Good morning @faerywings. I made it. I'm sitting here typing on the computer while Brian is shoving things in cupboards. I told him to just wait on the kitchen but Brian doesn't have a "wait" speed. And it's a good thing...because I'd never get it done without him. But don't tell him I said that. And only 20 more sleeps without Syd home!!! But who is counting.

Hoping to still travel home this summer. Wanting to get a couple more of the tests out of the way so I know what the plan is on the surgery. I really want to go for Brooks (Sarah's youngest) first birthday party in August. Randy (my brother) now has 5 grandkids under the age of 2 1/2. It will be crazy up there and I sure want to go!

I wish that you could teleport too. Would love to have a cup of coffee with you.

@vickyday it sounds like a beautiful day yesterday. Love the cabin as the heart of all the activities. Hope that Sunday plays out just the way that you want it too.

@faerywings what a great photo!
The weather here has been gorgeous!! Supposed to hit 90 here today so I think I'll be enjoying the yard rather than working in it... at least till tomorrow when it will be back down in the 60s.
@vickyday sounds like a wonderful gathering despite the weather.
@LSlycord I got tired just reading all you've been up to. I hope today, in some way is a day of rest. All very exciting though and I hope you enjoy all your new adventures and make lifelong friends.
My thoughts and virtual chicken soup to all who are under the weather.
I'm off to check out Color Play. Finally a lazy day!
PEACE

Good morning ladies. Yesterday flew by. Jen and I went to costco in the morning after talking with D who was finally in a bed and getting surgery soon. I knew he would be there at least until the afternoon. Then I talked to him after the surgery, he was a happy guy b/c of all the drugs LOL. I told him to sleep for a few hours and I would come to the hospital after the travel agency Princess cruise seminar. Glad |I went. Got lots of info and a brochure of travel destinations for each of the ships. We will go in a week to chat with our agent and put a deposit on a 2024 cruise, during the summer special. Then I went to the hospital to visit for a few hours and told D all about the seminar and we talked about destinations. So far we are interested in an east coast cruise from Antarctica down to Boston or New York or a Caribbean/south america trip maybe. So many choices. We both agree that we like 11-16 days, no longer if possible b/c we start getting homesick. I loved our 3 wk trip but the last few days I really was ready to get back.

If D had a quiet night then they will let him come home today. I should hear from the hospital in a couple of hours. He'll be recuperating and possibly going into wound care for a few wks but he'll be on the mend.

@faerywings What a lovely pic of your mom and dad with C. He is getting tall! Glad G enjoyed his day out. $300 to paint a door? That is crazy. Glad Jen is doing our door today. It'll be the same color (a wine/burgundy color).

@Cherylndesigns What great news about S & A moving closer to you.

@LSlycord Did I hear correctly? No a/c? Thoughts about the new place, aside from the a/c? You haven't posted any pics yet, have you?

I'm going to get coffee, get dressed and be ready to head out to pick up D. Originally they said he could come home tomorrow so I hope they don't change their minds and keep him one more day. He really wants to come home, the hospital is so boring and it just makes me shudder, thinking about all the germs in there.

HAGD everyone.

@Cherylndesigns no thank you is necessary. it was an honor to serve. truly.
God bless you, Nonni. I have a deep love for the military and lost an uncle in WWII. His airplane was shot down somewhere over Germany (they deduced) and they never recovered his body. He was a bombardier. My son was a Marine. Semper Fi.

The Color Play is especially fabulous this month, Nonni. I always say that, though. The colors are just scrumptious!

Oh my goodness! I had missed that news @Cherylndesigns. That is so exciting...just makes my heart so happy for all of you. Missouri isn't far...compared to Florida. I just can't believe that all of that is coming together. You must be beyond thrilled!!! And I bet that Asher is over the moon. I knew you'd be so excited for me, Linda! As for him coming to spend a couple of weeks, we're still in the planning process. We're not sure whether he'll come early with Steph or not. I just know that everything will work out the way it's supposed to. I just have to trust the process and at least I can see him way more often now. He's really excited about being so close to us. We've been trying to get something like this worked out - trying to get Steph to move here, but like I said there's that shared custody thing. Like nobody has ever moved away after a divorce. Lalalalala.

I totally forgot to congratulate you on the babies!!! I know you can't wait to see the little guys. Hope you slept well last night in your new home.

Chris @faerywings I LOVE that picture of your parents and Christopher. Look at your dad in his uniform. He's SO handsome. Who doesn't love a man or a woman in a Uniforum??? Yes, I can believe that Christopher is taller than you -- we're not very tall, after all. All of my kiddo's tower over me except Asher. He will soon enough.

I'll ask Adrienne about face tanner, but I told Trudy about a face bronzer (yesterday) that she had me buy. It's Lumi Glotion and it's by L'Oreal. It's called "True Match" and she had me get 902 for my coloring. I'm fair to medium. That girl has lots of tricks in her bag, so I'll ask her about face tanner. I'm not sure you couldn't put that Jergens Glow on your face. I need to read the instructions. I know that there are tanners specifically for faces. That Jergens Glow is absolutely NOT rubbing off on anything and it doesn't have that icky smell.

Well, I'm happy to hear that your dogs dealt with their disabilities and Lila is about 5, but that's young for a small dog. She'd about 20 pounds and Daisy is 50 so that gives you an idea. Yes, they "feel" thunder. We had a medium sized dog who we called "our barometer". If Macey started shaking, we knew a storm was coming. The sun could be out and Macey would start shaking and sure enough, it turned bad every time. That poor thing - we even bought her a thunder coat and it didn't help.

Has anybody figured out that I worked backwards today????? I just wanted to shake things up. :floorlaugh:

HAGD everybody. XOXO

@bcgal00 no pics of the house yet. Well, not completely true. I do have a bunch of pics of boxes that I sent Syd. But I see a layout coming this week. And I think that I am going to love one level living. Brian did spot his first snake in the backyard last night. Could do without those. But it is early and we are heading to the beach to enjoy the sunrise so the location is making me happy.

Oh no - a snake! We didn't see too many in FL, but I saw a big black one slither across our front yard. I had a snake in the pool once pool and we had one sunning himself on the top of the pool cage. The snake got in the pool through the overflow pipe and after that, Chuck fixed that with a screen, so the water could still get out, but the snakes couldn't get in. We lived in front of a nature preserve though so we weren't surprised. We did see a couple of alligators though. They were in the nature preserve and we had to call animal control to come get them. There was a great big one in the lake across the street.
