Good news! I didn't have any nightmares last night. :whoo: However, I had a decent anxiety producing dream instead. I dreamed that Gary and I went on vacation and put *everything* on the credit cards. We had gotten home and I realized that I had no way to pay for any of it. I guess you can place this in the same category of the "cars dying dreams" although that is much more realistic than ever going on vacation.

I had a successful baking day, thanks to Caitlyn who stopped at the supermarket on her way home from class to buy more butter. I made lemon shortbread bars for Mother's Days gifts and the Matzoh Toffee to bring to SILs tomorrow. I just have to put them all together and wrap them up for this afternoon and tomorrow.
Gary and I finished watching Season Two of Outlander. How heartbreaking that was even though I know that it will be all right in the end. Well, at least up until the end of Book 8. Heh. God only knows what tragedies will befall them in Book 9.

I don't have to be at my brother's until 4.30 today so I might try to get out for an hour or so in the yard this morning. It was so cold yesterday and looks like we have yet another week of cold and rainy weather coming up. I should take advantage of what little sun we have.

What fun plans do all of you have this weekend? Hope it is a great one!

Trudy- this same weather BS happened last year too. BS for the East Coast, not yours LOL But I am so happy for you to have sunshine.
OMG-- I do that with the kids all of the time, especially in the first weeks of the semesters when I can't get their schedules straight. I have learned that Scott has never not gotten up on time since he has been in college. What a difference than HS when I practically had to drag him out of bed.

 :first: You are amazing!!!! I am so happy for you! what an awesome feeling to have your paintings on display like that-- I hope that they sell like hotcakes! (I never really understood how that saying came about, but I KYKWIM! )

Kay- that is too bad about the yard guy, but I have to say I am impressed that he called to reschedule (Low bar!) Hoping that the rain has ended for you today.

Nancy- So exciting for your sister to see and start to enjoy the birds-- good job! Scott and I were outside after dinner last night trying to identify some weeds in the gardens. I am not sure who is rubbing off on who but it is a nice feeling to share things you enjoy.
That dream about the Sharks and Pens is hysterical!!
Enjoy the sun today if the weather here is as bad as they are forecasting.

xoxo

good morning - the sun is shining and that is good. Watching hockey today is fun as I have the IIHF men's games. Yesterday was good for both the Canadians an the USA teams as both lost. Showing that they can not take any team lightly. Maybe both teams just did not get together soon enough as a lot of teams have national teams that play together for years and that is not the same as Canada or US. But I am glad to see a bit of parity. The Swiss team won 9-0 or Italy and the Devils Nico Hischier got a goal and 2 assists so that is a great start for him. And the Devils Jesper Bratt got an assist for the Swedes. Good to see these players doing well. Maybe this bodes well for next season! Got more pages done. I may still do a few from Alaska but I need to finish the Yellowstone trip too. I was trying to remember something about this trail and found a website called all trails that has description of the trails. Pretty cool. They also have an app so you can download maps to your phone for hiking. Amazing - wish I had this back in my hiking days! My oldest son dropped by to pick up my car so he could finally fix the window. Had a great talk and sat outside a while as it was such a nice evening. I love it when it is light late. Also now no bugs so that makes it even better.

Chris so glad you are getting to finally watch Outlander. I too was so glad that I knew the ending. I just never got into all that stuff in France liked it much better when to go back to Scotland. They have now started filming season 5. I cant wait! Have fun with family this weekend. The cookies sound amazing! Have fun in the yard. Yes having a wet Mother's day is not the best but this way with everyone inside you have to talk LOL.

Kay I am so impressed by how many books you read. Needing a cart wow!

Trudy saw your hiking page! Gorgeous! Glad your weather is being so nice. Enjoy.

Have a great day all!

I was sitting at the computer when the doorbell rang this morning. It was a delivery from the flower shop... a darling Mother's Day bouquet from DD#2. Sure did brighten up my day.

It was still spitting rain when I got up but the skies are starting to clear and I can see some blue. We have a 'heat wave' with the temps going up to the low 60's today!!! LOL Well, compared to 48 yesterday - that is heat wave. Needless to say, I didn't go out yesterday except to carry out the trash. Brrrr... this is mid-May and it should be in the 70's.

Need to get the laundry started. When the hamper is starting to over-flow, I know I have to get it done. Think I will fix my Zucchini-Eggplant casserole for supper. Gotta get the veggies cooked before they go bad.

Chris, sorry you are still having such weird dreams... hate when I have them. Mine usually involve trying to go somewhere but not able to find my way. Yummy on the shortbread baking. I am sure they are delicious. I need to make some banana bread as I have 4 bananas that are really ripe! At least that will heat the kitchen up from using the oven.

Nancy, glad your son is going to fix the car window. Good luck on getting those trip photos scrapped. Now that I have the BluRay player, I should start watching the Outlander series. My kids gave me both 1 and 2 series but I haven't started watching them. Yes, I love to read... and read rather than watch TV. I still have to read book 8 yet.

CYL... call coming in from DD#2.

Hi girls!
I'm trying to follow my Maymax strategy for which I need to stay mostly offline and stuck to the 'real life'. But my days are soo boring: work in two shifts, cleaning, TV nights. And then copy and paste on the next day.
The only interesting thing that happened this week, was of course online. This morning on Instagram, site that fundraise for bee protection offered me 30% discount and free shipping for me and my friend (link is in my Instagram at my signature if someone is interested, because I don't want to spam here). My first thought was that all my friends are in France now, have fun on a beach, till I'm the only one stuck in the middle of nowhere. I'm really pathetic! Thank goodness that I have my Ofamily, to not let me feels totally abandoned!
The bee supporting products are very cute, but I'm not able to bought clothes which aren't put from previous month into the plan for my monthly expenses, and this discount offer is valid only 24 hours, so I couldn't be helpful at all.

Not surprising that they offered me discount which is cute commercial trick, and not free gift as the real Instagram Influencers got. I have abject number of followers, (only 60 for compare with 31.7k that one local Influencer have). So it's a kind of compliment that someone is saw my picture and she is decided that I deserve attention. And definitely is step in front in right direction, after the case with the creepy man who is at the age of my mom but started to flirt with me. This was so depressing, how old I'm looks like? I made morning selfie and it isn't much pleasant! As they sing in one of my favorite songs: "They knew the time would come, And time would be cruel, Because it is cruel to everyone." And please don't tell me that I'm pretty, I know you tell this just to be kind, because kindness is part of your culture! Uhh, it is what it is, I guess! Luckily, that I'm always been self confidence, and cases like that can only makes me laugh :drama: ! And immediately give block, of course. :smash:

Let's better to concentrate on you!

Trudy, congrats for the Gallery display!!! I'm so proud of you! I'm not comment any layouts and really have to do this next week, but checked your page and it's so beautiful! It's great that you have nice weather and got so much fun on this hike!

Karen, I'm miss what breed is your Joe? My is mix of Karakachan and Sharp Mountain Shepherd, so I have fur balls everywhere. And this is double-coated breed, so no shave for him. I'm bought one of these kiddie pool for him to cool off, but he refuse to use it and prefer to lay in hole he dig into the root of one bush and we watering at the hottest hours.

Chris, don't you think that nightmares come from some of the supplements you take? Its happen to me always when take magnesium. Hooray for the baking and enjoy the sun!

Kay, your garden lights looks so pretty! But I totally understand what you mean that you don't stay in your yard after dark. We have garden chaise lounge and I loved to fall asleep watching the stars on a music of crickets, then wake later to go inside. But after they robbed us before few years, now every night shadow freaks me out and I can't enjoy of my garden at night anymore. Oh, how much I hate them for that, and myself for my weakness! Dad added garden lamps everywhere, but this create light pollution and disturb hedgehogs and bats, so we use it only if it's urgently. Hope the yard guy, to have some cool ideas with what to replace yours!

Nancy, this app sounds very useful! It's same for your pages as I told Trudy already, I'll comment them soon, because they are precious! Oh, did your sister's Instagram is private? If is not I'll would love to see these Sedona pix, please PM my the link! Pleeeease! Or maybe you plan to scrap them too?!

Rae and Jean, !

Happy Mother's day to all of you, my lovely, wonderful girls! You all have reason to be proud with what you are done in your motherhood! And because the courtesy is not a part of my culture, I can count plenty of times when I have shown you my truly admiration from your wonderful kids!

Good morning to all of you and a happy Mother's Day to all who celebrate it. As always, I tend to see it as a "Hallmark Holiday" but that is how I see most things, I guess.
It sure doesn't feel like it should be a Spring holiday, it is in the 40's and dark and rainy. More like early April rather than mid-May.

I went out to work in the yard for an hour yesterday and while it was sunny, it was *cold.* I needed to uncover my small/young azalea from piles of leaves and acorns so it won't die. I love living next to the woods but at the same time, it isn't always easy to maintain the yard and garden areas.
I had some silly dreams last night, one being that I got to meet Elizabeth Warren and Tammy Duckworth, a Senator from IL. And I got baby mice in the mail. I had ordered some rat-related gift for Caitlyn and it came in three envelopes. The first 2 were the actual gift items and the third was a "free gift" which turned out to be three live mice. How ridiculous is that? How did they even breathe in the bubble wrap?
MUCH better than what I had been dealing with so I will take it.

I am worried about my mom again. She is in such bad moods and angry and the world a lot lately. She complains about my dad, the town, her house, the car. Everything. It makes it hard to talk to her. I hope that she is better today at my SIL's than she was yesterday at my brother's.

We are heading to BIL/SIL's for a Mother's Day lunch. I am disappointed that I can't go in my PJs... I mean I *could* but I shouldn't. ;)
I hope that Gary is able to come with us. He wants to but that doesn't always make it so. It usually doesn't. But my fingers are crossed.

have a wonderful day today!

Happy Mother's Day to all who are. For us it's a case of neither of us is one and neither of us has one, so not much of a holiday. It's been a long week with DH suffering from a cold/flu type thing but much better now. I do have another drawing on the blog.

Felis, hope you keep on keeping on and the Maymax brings you a good change, not just boring.

Chris, at least the dreams have improved! Good luck with your mom today and fingers crossed Gary got to go too.

Kay, ::grouphug more hugs for you to see you through another sad time.

Nancy, nice to have the guys take you out! I'm sure you'll be watching hockey too.

Trudy, I am so pleased with your successes in getting your painting on display. I'm sure today's work will go well too.
