Happy Easter Weekend!
How is the O-Fam today?

I am ok. I had a really awesome visit with my parents yesterday. I wish they didn't live so far- 45 mins, which is really not that much, just far enough where I can't just pop in whenever. It was great to visit with my dad too. We didn't get along at all when I was growing up, but we are really very close now. That makes me happy.

I am supposed to by dying Easter eggs with the kids today. I hope that they don't bail on me or I'll be doing them all by myself.

I also have to get going on my godson's photo book. It is also the last two days for the Monthly Challenges so maybe I can kill two birds with one stone, metaphorically speaking, of course!

What good plans do you have today and tomorrow? I know Phyllis is in DC with her Grandmen. What about the rest of you?

hope it a great one no matter what your plans!!!

Chris: great you have such a good relationship to your father now. It´s never too late.

I have no plans. To be honest I like to spent my free time at home, do my scrapping and nothing more. Since my kids are old enough to have their own plans and no need to go to the playground with them, I´m happy to stay at home. my daughter is also a couch- potatoe and is at home most of the time. She got a new bike but it´s still too cold , or her girl friend has no time and she don´t want to go alone.

I started with a photobook of my childrens first years. I only have "real" photos in an album and took fright to scan them all. Too much work ! But yesterday I had a brainwave and make a photo of this photos with my smartphone. It really came out wonderful , better than the scaned photos. Now I make a time travel back and it touches my heart a lot to see where the time is gone.

Phyllis- if and when you see this, hope that you have a lovely Easter and a great visit. I especially hope that you brought you camera and will come home with LOTS of scrap inspiration in your very creative head!!!

Angela- (((hugs back))) Yup, that is exactly what my therapist said years ago when I was going. Ask for help, and lower expectations. (I should pay you for that!!) As you can see from my rant, I haven't changed at all. Meh!
So nice to get a visit with a friend and some scrap time in, Sounds like heaven!!!

Laurie- we have the strongest fingers around with the keybd strokes for sure :)
Brunch sounds fab! Enjoy!

Nana- I don't think I spend $200 on Christmas for my kids. I know, I am a bad example, since I don't have money to spend like that. But IMHO- that is way to much! WTH do kids those ages need for Easter that cost $$ like that? I think all total, I spent $10 between the 3 kids (my 2 and scott's GF) for baskets and hidden eggs. I guess I am the other extreme.;)
I think $40 for your g-kids-- perfect!

Terry- hope that your day "off" was good and relaxing, You need that. Since you are newer here, you might have missed our convos about Oxygen, I think I referenced that the other day with your golf? Its liek inthe airplanes when they tell the adult to put on the oxygen mask FIRST. If you don't have oxygen, you will not be able to help anyone else. Make sure that you get your oxygen. (says the women how is consistently gasping for air while her family frolics around her bwaaaaa!)
How is your mom doing now?
Do you have Shop at Home grocery shopping available near you? Its a big there up here. I did it once or twice when they had the free promo's. But Iknow a lot of my friends use it. If you have it, try that out! It might be worth it and save you a lot of time and energy. (((((hugs))))

Astrid- isn't it crazy how two kids from the same family can be so different: LOL
Hope you got lots of baby hugs in! I miss when my godson was that little. I could just hold him all day. Now he is almost 2 and just runs and runs!

Trudy- coffee and peace and quiet--heavenly!
Hope that you really get to relax on these days off and I hope that your job works out as best as possible for you.

Kristi- oh my!! What is going on for so little sleep??

hugs to everyone who pops and and reads this!!

Enjoy Laurie!

Smart not to scan them all Astrid, I do the same when I want to use older photo's. Enjoy your free-@home-scrapping time ;)

That is nice Chris you visited your parents and great you are now close with your father, something to treasure!
I don't have that with mine, in fact I never see him and haven't for years ... lots of drama and I don't want it anymore ... my mom has a new husband for more then 10 years now and he has been more of a dad to me than my own has ever been ;)

No plans for us except for the same as Astrid's plans, enjoying time at home scrapping and having no plans untill Wednesday. It has been a long time since I have no plans for som many days in a row

have a great day/weekend girls!

Happy Sunday and Happy Easter!

I am off to hide the eggs in a few. We had a bit of a dust-up, my kids and I, yesterday about them. Caitlyn asks if her BFF can sleepover and egg hunt with us. I spent 2 hours prepping and stuffing eggs, labeled so everyone gets eggs-actly (heh) the same. I mean it wasn't a big deal- it was just some pennies, small chocolates and stupid jokes, but I didn't have the time to re-do them all. So they got mad, I got way angry (see, still feeling taking advantage of :( ), and it is taking a bit of the fun out of it.
But I have to hit the reset button and deal with it.

We did have a great time dying the eggs- I'll post pics later on.:)

I hope that everyone has a fantastic day!!!

Morning and Happy Easter O fam - He is risen. I had planned on going to church here in DC, but must have caught a bug or food poisoning because I could only keep sprite done for the past 26 hours. So I am thinking just a slow drive back home instead.

I am off to work for just an hour or so, so that the Bank Deposit can be made one last time for the old owners, then up to the In-Laws place for Easter Dinner and hopefully a fire down by the lake later on. I hope you feel better soon Laurie and have a safe trip home!

Hug to you Chris, I hope it will be a nice day after all!

I just made a nice late lunch for the kids, baked rolls and croissants with cheese and eggs and a few chocolate eggs. They were very happy with the special lunch and I'm happy they still can appreciate those little things .

have a great day!

Happy Easter and Sunday Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. My son and DiL are hosting Easter dinner with all of us bringing something to eat. Should be a lovely day. Have already had a wonderful weekend. Five of my best BFF girls and I headed to the city to see the new Broadway Play Cinderella. OMgosh is was so good! It was updated a little and there was a dry wit that adults would love and just went over the kids heads. But the most amazing was how they managed to change Cinderella's dresses while she was still on stage. And they made it so that the Cinderella saved the Prince as much as the Prince recused Cinderella. The day was beautiful and we all had such a good time. We then came back to NJ met up with our spouses for a great dinner out. I finished my blanket and I like it a lot. Was fun to knit again. However my NJ Devils have found 3 different ways to lose a game by giving up a goal in the final minute of each game. The team is still in the playoffs but not thinking they will go very far. OH well.

Chris it is always a challenge when kids want changes without realizing how much prep time it required for you to just get it to that point. Kids always see the final product and always think parents can do anything! So you should be flattered that your kids think you are so creative and clever. And of course they always take Moms for granted! They will see when they get older just how much you are doing (or did) for them.

Laurie hope you feel better. And yes take the slow ride home.

Trudy glad you dont have to work too long. Good luck with inventory tomorrow.

Angela your special lunch sound yummy! croissants are so yummy and buttery

Terry your mother will be so happy to have you there. Such a sweet thing to do!

Have an awesome day!
