You all might think I am a dork, but Oscraps birthday parties are the most fun in the world! I have a blast, and really can't believe the O is 9!!! I was looking through some of my old O-Party avatars and it has been neat seeing how many of them there are!

Trudy can attest to this, but this year's is really going to be the biggest and best-est ever!
If I can keep my eyes open long enough I know that I want to hang out here as much as I can today.
I didn't sleep that good last night. Gary has a cold on top of everything else and was snoring up a storm. Then when I couldn't get back to sleep, I could hear Cait upstairs rattling around with the "baby." She said that she barely got any sleep. I only heard her (the baby-- not Cait although that might come after no sleep tonight :D) cry once or twice before I went to bed, but Cait said that she cried, then took a bottle for a few minutes, fell asleep, then woke up for a diaper change, fell back asleep, then woke up hungry, fed for 40 minutes, fell asleep, then woke up needing to be burped.
All that sounds pretty accurate, except that she is doing this without having to actual prep bottles, change smelly diapers, while going through the hormonal and physical issues of having just given birth.
I told her that she should invite Brendan over for the day so he can get a taste of this too--birth control for the next 20 years.*evil grin*

:pop2:

Thankfully we only got 2-3 inches of snow yesterday although everything is covered again.

How are all of you today?
Hope everyone is ready to party!

QOTD Have you been to an Oscraps birthday party before? If you have, which one was your favorite? Have you won any prizes?
If you are new to these, hold onto your seat belt, it will be a blast!

Did you get 4" of snow Nancy? It looked like it was coming down like crazy but I guess it was a lot of slush and is packed down.
I wonder if Scott would eat that recipe of Orange chicken? He will eat that if he orders Chinese food, but I never can get those recipes close enough at home.

Woo hooo!! Sharon, I think I did hear your sigh of relief! (Or maybe Cait's baby just had gas? hahahah!!!) So happy that you are back up and running!! And just in time for the party!!!

Trudy- yes, that is exactly what it was like- what you went with for Heather. *nods* It must be the brain's way of coping b/c I think if we have to deal with that awareness day in, day out, it would be too much. YKWIM? But thank goodness for improvement!! How was your Skype call? Mason up to any new tricks?

Sharon- soooooooo proud of you for ordering the swim outfit!!!!!

Jean!! Look at you all ready to party in your Big Top Avatar!!!
Good luck to your sister and her biopsy. It is always "reassuring" (HA!!!!) when drs say that they have no idea what something can be. We still don't know what the black specks under my eyelid are, but th dr says that they aren't melanomas, so unless they change in any way, I am keepin' 'em!!!
When will she have the results?
yesterday I saw three really big black birds- not crows- bigger, but not as dark- outside which made me thing spring was actually closer than it looked with the snow coming down.

Don't you ladies enjoy my descriptions of birds? I guess I can be technical about music too. I can tell a symphony conductor that I like it when the song goes ta-dadad-um.

Have a fantastic day!

Oh how different we all are. I am not a party-lover, either IRL OR Cyberish. ...wouldn't DREAM of making a party avatar...reading thru the rules much less trying to follow them! LOL

Pouring rain in the PNW today...good day to work on Organizing my goodies and filing pictures that have needed filing for months.

PHYLIS! Where are you? I read about your War With the USPS on your FB! Unbelievable!

Big black birds. Ravens?

Mechanical baby. GREAT idea! Poor Cait. But in the long run, a wonderful lesson. Hope Gary's cold gets over quickly, and that he doesn't share it with anyone!

Think I'll heat up a cup of coffee (it's been in the carafe so long it's only luke warm), and start working. I got a couple more challenges done yesterday, and doing those between the mundane work of tagging keeps me going. (Also did another iPhone creation today (see my FB if interested) while luxuriating in bed this cold rainy day.)

Chris, the birds were probably Turkey Vultures, a sure sign of spring in our area as they retreat a bit south in the winter but come soaring back. I shudder at the reality, at least sleepless-wise of Cait's "baby." Hope everyone is feeling better over the weekend and that the snow goes away.

Today was my day-long genealogy meeting, always a good day but keeps me tied up. Came home and we're watching basketball. My sister has yet to get an appt. for the biopsy, so lots of time to worry. If it's not too cold tomorrow we'll take her to the cemetery to put flowers on her husband's grave. It will mark 7 years he's been gone.

Hi Laurie! Good to have you stop in and do come and party.

Sharon, everyone doesn't have to join the party, or at least change their avatar. You have such a nice one now, so that's cool. Organizing will be good. Glad you're on track with the programs now.

QOTD: I've been to a number of O-birthday parties, but each is unique making it hard to pick a favorite. They can be very time consuming but fun. I'm sure I've won prizes, but I think there are lots of them.

Hope it's a good weekend wherever you are!

Hi ladies... very late in here this evening!! I have been at SIL's birthday luncheon and it was a great time!! Everyone chipped in and we got her enough to send her to visit her newest grand baby when it will be born in May, she cried!! Happy tears, not sad ones. Also she was telling us that she thinks the pain she has been in is Arthritis but she was going for testing after the party, so I guess we will know soon. Arthritis is bad on hubby's side of the family and we are keeping our fingers crossed that MG does not end up suffering from it. Or either of our children either! I am afraid personals will have to wait until tomorrow as it is now time to get supper going and get cleaned up after doing some more power washing and removing the green goo that grows on everything around here. YUCK!! Hope everyone has fun at the party, it has been fun preparing for it!
QOTD - I joined Oscraps in 2007 and it was at party time I think (long time ago) But I remember it being so much fun and I got lots of prizes and joined in the chats and had so much fun with those also!! So it was probably the best one for me.

Hi there, my fellOw Oz-zies!!!
Happy Sunday and Day 2 of the Party! I see so many fun avatars all over and there is a chat schedule for later today. I hope that I am awake enough to make it. It falls smack-dab into my nap time!

Yesterday was a weird one for me. I feel like I got a lot done, but at the same time, not so much. But my body felt it by the end of the day. Lyme pain/tremors and hyster soreness too.

In my quest to learn how to crochet , i found a pattern for a hat online. I got the stitches all down, nice and even, but I must have mis-counted somewhere because it looked more like a yarmulke than a hat. So I ripped it out. Then I found the blanket I had started crocheting for the baby girl that my brother was adopting several years ago (long and painful story short, the birth mother changed her mind literally at the last minute and they had to give her back, blanket got thrown in the back of the closet since then) and ripped that out too.
I found a pattern for hand warmers and I decided to give that one a shot. But the way the pattern is written is so confusing to me, The first 2 rows are written one way, then the next 2 rows are written differently but they look the same to me. I wish that Google Translate could translate patterns into English!

Cait's baby is very cute and disturbing at the same time LOL She makes little breathing sounds and coos. But when she is "asleep" her eyes stay open which is a bit freaky. It was freaky for Caitlyn too, when she had to bring the baby into the bathroom with her. I had to laugh because that brought back memories of never peeing alone- between babies and dogs and cats- for *years!!!*
One of my cats would actually reach under the closed door if I didn't let him in with me. SHM!

Today, my parents are coming up for a visit. My mom is bringing food, of course.:hungry:
After that I will have to decide if I need to do IV fluids or not. I am not shaking ATM, but by dinner last night it was horrible.

And I want to scrap a page for the first b-day challenge- I finally have an idea of what to do.

good morning - whew yesterday was busy. Got in a good walk - it was fairly warm and the snow was melting. We got 4-5 inches but it was the pretty snow that stuck to everything. Then went to the Devils/Islanders game and my team lost 3-0. It was a really good game. After the game my son was going to do a one time shot on the goal to win us our season tickets. Well it was crazy. First they had all these group photos to take and then they had other season hockey photos to take so it was over an hour after the game before they even started with the shooting. My son talked to them and the we rescheduled for next Sat night. There were over 100 people waiting to shoot. Now today it is off to Medieval Times for my son's birthday dinner. Cracks me up that both sons still love doing this. They give you food that you can eat with your hands - no silverware. Not my favorite food but fun to watch the show. We are doing the 2 pm show so that way every one who works can be home early.

QOTD yesterday. I came to Oscraps during a birthday party and stayed because everyone comments on pages. This place is awesome and friendly and has gifted designers.

Chris that mechanical baby sounds very realistic. No sleep sounds about right. My son said the chicken recipe tastes a lot like the version from our restaurants. Just go to Pioneer Womans site and search. Hope your DH feels better soon.

Laurie hi! Yes sometime life just demands your attention.

Sharon your phone photography from bed sounds pretty fun. So glad that you are back to comfort zone with your computer set up! That makes such a difference.

Jean your genealogy meeting must be so interesting! Hope things go well with your sister!

Trudy how sweet that your SIL cried. What a great gift! Glad it went so well.

Have a great day all!

Welcome to any of you who are lurking or new here at the O! The Daily Ooo's are just a little way to chat with each other. It is a No Pressure thread, you can post as much or as little as you like. I try to do personal responses whenever I can, but that is only if you want to do that. Drive by's and quick hellos are just as nice to see.

Most importantly, everyone is welcome! Some of us "old timers" know each other better since we have been around since the beginning of time, but we are thrilled when fresh blood, errr..... I mean *new members* stop in!!! :D

Hugs and love to all!

Laurie- love the new avi! So cute!

Shar- I hear ya about IRL parties. I would much rather be home in my pj's- which is a big reason I like Oscraps Parties. I am wrapped in my Linus blanket with a mug of coffee beside me :D
I hope that you got lots of organizing and scrapping done yesterday!

Jean- I was thinking turkey vultures too. Not that I could pick one out of a line-up, but I have heard people talking about them so I have a general sense of what they are.
Your poor sister having to wait for more appts. I hope that she gets one quickly.

Trudy- what a wonderful gift to your SIL!!!! I am sure that she will treasure every moment when she sees her g-baby. Does she know yet what it will be?
My Rheumatoid factor is very high due to Lyme and has me on several supplements to reduce inflammation and retain cartilage. I take Tumeric, Omega 3-6-9, Boswellia Serrata, and a Zinc Manganese compounded supp. Next time she sees her dr, she should ask about them. My LLMD is very scientifically-based and won't rec anything unless she has a study to back her up. I have been on this supps for 6 weeks, and my joint pain is slowly easing up.

Hi Nancy! Why does it seem like every special event that the Devils do ends up being chaotic? Sorry that last night ended up wonky for you and your son. But that gives him more time to get the good luck vibes rolling!
Happy Birthday to DS! Have fun at Medieval Times. My BIL proposed to his wife there many years ago. I am going to checkout PW's website too:)

Have a fabulous day, everyone!

Hi

hope you all enjoy our birthday party:cheer2:

I will tell you what I have done the last two weeks and that I feel like a teenager . 2 weeks ago we made a account on netflix. My daughter wished this a long time to watch her favorite series, but I wasn´t interested. Why to pay when we can find a lot of series on youtube. But when she got her MAC and it was such a happy day I created a account and we started to watch netflix. She told me that Prison Break is a good serie. I wish she never told me :becky:. I knew it from years ago when it was on TV here, but never watched.
I started with season 1 , episode 1 and yesterday I finished season 4 and the last episode 23. To be honest I cried and don´t know what to do now:pound:. So I started with the serie "Lost" yesterday. It has 6 seasons, every seson about 20 episodes. Oh and DH are also addicet to prison break he is also at season 4 but still have some episodes.
I´m a little bit shocked about myself that I became so addicted and I was really in this series. I felt like to be a part of the team. Also my daughter said to me , that I´m crazy.

do we have any other series junkies who can understand me ? Please !

Trudy, I LOVE the gift for you SIL. How precious is THAT!?

Anika, we got hooked on 24 long after it became available on disks, when a friend loaned them to us. We'd stay up and watch "just one more episode" until we almost saw the sun rise. Then they all started to seem the same ("CHLOE! Get those satellites moved into place NOW" Jack said in his raspy whisper.), so lost interest. We started Lost, but I could never figure out what was going on, and there was NEVER any satisfaction at the end of a show, so I bailed on that too. Now I bail on any show that doesn't have a beginning a middle and an end all in one hour. I HATE shows with back-stories that never get settled. I almost gave up on the Mentalist because I got so sick of Red John, and Castle because I was bored with Kate constantly chasing after her mother's murderer...and people they caught who were suddenly on the loose again. No. The only series I like is Downton Abby, and that will end next season.

Rainy day here. Church this morning...more tagging digi stuff this afternoon. I'm wearing my lacy lime green infinity scarf (Newbies, I knit it with the help of my DD) in public for the first time today. I like it. :) The blue one is coming along, but I'm so busy with digi stuff right now, by the time I take a break, I don't feel like knitting.

Feeling the nerves that go along with waiting to hear if the house deal is going to go through for DD and her family. It should, but you never know until you're holding the keys.

Party on!

seems you are a specialist in series :nerd:
I´m now watching Lost and will see if I can figure out what is in the jungle

Hi ladies! So - there's a birthday party again. I wonder if I've been here since the last one? I really don't think so. I'm not even sure if I've done any digiscrapping since last birthday party?

Got the e-mail about the party and thought I'd stop by and wish my darling O a happy birthday. Maybe I should try and do one of the challenges?

My life's been =?##¤/&%¤%##/&/¤## for a while, and creativity level is below zero. Anyway - I just wanted to say hi! I hope everything's fine with everyone! Luv & hugs!!!!!!!!

Eva!!! So nice to see you pop in at party time. Hope you come back to see us all wishing you were here more. All good wishes that life would get better.

We took my sister to the cemetery this afternoon. It was cold but sunny. After my sainted DH spent two hours trying to help her with computer problems but, alas, to no avail. He has way more patience than I do. If anyone has a clue why she can no longer download books to her Nook I'd love to know. And that's only one of the problems.

Chris, hope you don't need the IV, but if you do, at least you have the pole. How nice to have mom bringing food. Does she get into the e-grandbaby? What a concept. The bathroom thing made me chuckle as I still remember my mother called me her little trailer as I would follow her everywhere when I was small.

Nancy, I was so hoping DS would win the season tickets, but now he still has a chance. I've read about those medieval things but never seen one. It sounds like a fun time.

Astrid and Sharon, I would so do the same binge watching if I had the chance, so I'll try to stay away from them. Wonder what makes us do it.

Trudy, what a great reception to SIL's gift! Hope she feels better. Arthritis runs in my family too and I'm getting into it these days. Not fun, hope your DH misses it.

Hope we're all enjoying the party.
