Wake up, everyone! It is Day Two of the Party and it is the first day of Spring (in the Northern Hemisphere, sorry to those Down Under)!!! Have no fear since I woke you all obnoxiously, I have coffee and donuts, and the best part, they are calorie-free :D

th

So that is the good news of the day. The bad news is that I threw my back out this morning. It has been twinging the last few days but when I bent down to grab the leads for the dogs this morning, it went into a nice spasm. Poor W was looking at me very confused that I let J outside but I couldn't reach the lead to hook her up. Gary got up and took them out for me and both dogs thought it was fascinating and fun to see me on the floor when they came back in. J does this weird thing after she gives kisses, she "licks her lips" a few times when she is done and she was licking my face, then, little licklicklick, then back to my face and licklicklick. My back doesn't hurt when I sit but walking around isn't too much fun. I am not going to the FP this morning which is a bummer since I bailed the last three weekends. I am supposed to be driving Cait to the vet this afternoon since Cordelia has another lump, looks like it could be another abscess. I will have to see how I am doing. Cait doesn't need me to go with her but she likes the company.

The party is in full swing! The birthday cards I am seeing in the Gallery are adorable. I am in a bit of denial that the O is 15. It makes me feel quite ancient since I have been here since pre-beginning. I redid the LO I was talking about yesterday and I think I like Version Two better. If any CheeryOs want to see it, it's in the Private Gallery, the rest of you scallywags have to wait. :p

Since my back is canceling much of my day for me, I think I am going to spend a lot of time here. That doesn't sound so bad. The pain part of it is unfortunate, but the party part is just fine! Hugs and love!!

Oh no Chris! I so hate it when my back goes out...which it rarely does anymore. Isn't that funny? Why is that? I remember the first time...I was working at a grocery store my freshman year of high school. I reached down to pick up a big bag of dog food and out it went. But, now that I think of it, I don't think that I have had an episode in the 21 months we have lived here. A very strange but happy benefit of old age I guess. I also don't get migraines hardly ever anymore. I expected that...most of the women on mom's side of the family get them pretty bad but they start subsiding in the late 30's and early 40's. However, my hips hurt like crazy this morning and that is one of the downsides of getting older. Anyway, hope you feel better soon @faerywings.

And whatever was that rant and ramble about? I guess birthdays...yes 15 seems forever. I joined February 3, 2007. I fell completely in love with the place. And it was during birthday week when participating in the comments challenge that I was offered a spot as a Cheery-O for the first time. Can I just tell you all how very happy I am to be back here!

Not much on the calendar. Brian gets his Covid vaccine today. The neighborhood nursery is having a 20% off sale. And, I must go to the grocery store! I went yesterday, but I saw that the Chinese restaurant was open so I did a very quick swing through the grocery store for urgent items and then bought takeout to bring home to the family for lunch. That means a trip back.

I wish we could teleport those donuts to me Chris to go along with my coffee. Oh well...off to do a few personals.

@LSlycord I bet that 55* feels chilly to you now, but I bet a couple of years ago that would have been downright balmy in IA! We might get up to that temp this afternoon which would be really nice. Yay for Brian to get his shot today! *happy dances* That is one of the things that keeps running through my head as I try to find an appt for Cait. If I wait a week or so, she has a better chance of getting the J&J and will still end up being fully vax'd before Gary and me. I should stop stressing but........ trails off...... we all know good I am about that
Your lunch sounds amazing and rejuvenating. Seeing the ocean and visiting with your friend must have made your heart so happy. I hope that you can tuck that feeling away and pull it in when you feel down.
I like what you said about Gibbs. In all of the years I have watched NCIS, I can only think of a handful of times where Gibbs lost it. Do you watch NCIS: NOLA? The first episode back post-pandemic was so intense with Loretta in the morgue and how she handled it. I thought how smart that was to show how even strong people struggle. I hope that they deal with that more with Gibbs.

@bcgal00 I am so encouraged when I see you posting pics of Remi- Cait and I spent more time looking at them yesterday. She is a talker?? Too cute!! Such good thoughts to her that she continues to improve!!! I am not surprised that she hopped the gate! She has that smart and impish look about her. :)

@scrap-genie I am sure that your presentation today is going to be interesting and informative, good luck!!!

@taxed4ever OMG!! I am dying here, Hunter in the washing machine!! That kid is wonderful! And I am in awe of how close you two are and how you can play together so far apart. So heartwarming!

@Cherylndesigns what is a 5th Wheel? Guessing a small trailer type thing? Daisy and Lila must be having fun playing together and I am sure Lila is much happier with you than in her crate. That is going to be one BIG house, maybe all future Bat Signals will be dinner over there haha
Still hoping every day that you get wifi soon.

@nancyr I was thrilled too that we didn't get any snow yesterday but dang I am DONE with the cold temps and wind. It must have felt great to talk to your sister and both boys. Now that the weather and virus is getting better, is your DS going to get the BBQ business back up and running?

Let's see a bit about the history of Oscraps from my memories of it. It had started as a freebie blog. Back 2004-5 that was when digital scrapping was just taking off and there were freebies galore. Vicki had a blog with lots of downloads and we could comment and chat a bit. Then in 2006, she switched to this website with new designers- Ronee Parsons, Carla Gibson, Kitty, and TaylorMade, Sue Cummings (still in the shop!), Nina Scraps...
Styles sure have changed since then too. I keep this on my computer just for fun, one of Vicki's early designs:1 vstegall-xo-350.jpg

Here is one of my first LOs posted to this site:

Hahaha! SO fun to look back!

@LSlycord If I had a teleportation machine, I would bring the coffee and donuts to you personally. The migraines is weird too- I used to get them bad and they seemed to go away, then one of the Lyme meds triggered them again. Since I have been off the meds, not one * knocks wood*

I missed @felis ...
Sorry, sweetie! I got lost looking at my old LOs in the gallery... :D
My BFF had to put her dog down a few months ago before we had to do the same for Ray. He was 16. She has a cat too and he has to be about the same age as Dax was. She thinks that Georgia might be better as an only dog. We will see, she has had two dogs for a long time.
When you get your seeds started, please share pics!!

((((((((hugs))))))))))))) Cheryl. I hope that the wifi stuff gets easier.

@faerywings I love that old layout! And haven't times changed? And haven't kids changed? Oh my goodness, they were babies! Yes, I do watch NCIS NOLA. I have really enjoyed the shows this year.

@felis I think you are right. The pandemic has made it so that we just don't do makeup and hair and bras. Sometimes I work harder to figure out what outfit I can wear without a bra (example, this morning, I wore a tank top under my sweater so that I wouldn't need a bra when I went out to the garden center) than I would work by just putting the bra on! I put on makeup the other day when I went to lunch with my friend...I couldn't even find my lipstick for the longest time.

@bcgal00 I am so glad that Remi is getting well! I love how she has figured out to get to Taz during Taz's breaks. Reminds me of Hayden...who should be slowing down a bit at 15 months but still she wears Andie out sometimes when she just wants to play...

@Cherylndesigns I totally get the "meltdowns". I would worry about you if you didn't have them! And, wow! That house that your daughter is building! WOW! Sounds gorgeous. I can't wait for those pictures. And my paychecks have all come from ADP for at least the last 15 years...that sounds like a great job. And a stressful job too I'm sure.

@nancyr the inequity between how they treat the Men's NCAA basketball tournament and the Women's is really sad. Glad that you were able to get in talks with both of your sons and your sister. That helps keep things going.

@scrap-genie it is so cold this morning that my birds are silent! What is up with that...of course it will hit 90 later this week. Then I will be quiet! And how I loved your birthday card with the crocus. Crocus were always one of my favorites when they would pop up through the snow!

@taxed4ever I love that you have such fun conversations with Hunter. He sounds like quite a character and I'm glad that you are able to stay so engaged when he is so far away!

Good morning, ladies. Enjoy the birthday celebration this wkend. I've got house chores to do, get Remi to the vet later (she has a few deep scratches so maybe fleas? so will talk to vet about getting her on flea medication, if it is ok now that she seems to be stabilizing). Remi had me up 3 times last night but at least she settles quickly and goes back to bed after potty break.

@faerywings ugh...so sorry to hear about your back. I know you don't need me to tell you to take it easy but...I'm saying it. Be a couch (or floor) potato this wkend. My back is bothering me a bit more than usual so I'll be on the floor a lot too.

I'd better get on with my day, haven't showered yet and want to be ready to head out to the vet when they open soon. Enjoy the wkend. BFN

Morning ladies... late arriving again!! DH and I have been up for a while but we kind of just vegetated in front of the TV watching the morning news. Not much that is good on the news! Then I got some breakfast for my guy, I will eat a bit later. We are off to run some errands today and hopefully the weather will stay nice long enough for us to get in a walk today. Other than that I really want to spend more time here and have fun at the Birthday Party!

@faerywings - Ugh so sorry that you have thrown your back out! I can't remember the last time that has happened to me (knocks on wood). It has been a few years though! I do remember the pain though like it was yesterday! I would love to share those donuts and coffee with you, but oh my goodness the heartburn would be awful!! LOL good thing they are just virtual! I can imagine how good they would taste! I haven't been here at the O for as long as you, but I have been here for quite some time and yes the Birthday Parties are the Best!! I have been here since 2008 and this is the first layout I ever posted here...

We have come a long way since those days! I was talking with my son last night and we are planning if the numbers are way to go out there in the summer and pick up Heather and the boys and have a nice stay with them and enjoy the use of their pool. Then they hope to come out here for Christmas! It would be so wonderful if that could all happen, but we will see what the numbers are like and if we are all vaccinated by then.

@LSlycord How great that your DH is getting his vaccination today! I am hoping that by the time I get mine it will be the J&J one also! Hope that your trip to the grocery store goes smoothly! I am so fortunate to be able to do my grocery shopping online and so I just have to go to pick it up! I love that! Have fun at the Party today!

@bcgal00 - Oh Rae another trip to the vet! Hope that you can get Remi on a flea medication without upsetting her digestive system again! Wish that you could get more rest, but hopefully soon the late night bathroom breaks are not so frequent! Take care of your back today, you don't need that bothering you again!

Waving hello to @felis & @scrap-genie I will try to catch up with you both later on! Hope you are enjoying the Birthday Bash! I gotta go as DH is ready to hit the road LOL.

The computer genealogy group went off well today. We're starting to have almost as much fun as in a live meeting. We even now eat lunch together like in person. Then I do a final talk after. We go from 9:30 to 2, so a long meeting. So, since the early morning it's now officially spring! Here it's sunny but started cold, maybe better now. The redpolls are still with us, about 15 so far today.

Chris, oh no! Sorry the back did its thing. It's been a while since I had that happen and hope that continues but I sure do empathize. Hope you can still enjoy the party here.

@LSlycord Must be a good day if Brian's getting his shot and you've got a nursery sale to inspire. Curious that cold made your birds quiet as that isn't true here.

Rae, poor Remi maybe with a flea problem too! And poor you. Hope she is getting well and quits needing to go in the night so you can sleep.

Trudy, bummer vegging at the news, not a happy way to spend time, I think. Hope the day got/gets much better than that. That was a nice LO, but times have changed for sure. It will be wonderful if those family plans can be realized.

Happy spring, everyone!

Hello girls!
I'm eating donuts... at the middle of the night!!!! When I can't get back to my beach body this summer we know who to blame! Yes, I'm points you Chris, LOL!
Happy first day of Spring, to these that have it! Here it's raining whole day! My family is trying to do some plans for the free week, but most things are at the yard and it's supposed to rain the whole week so will see. Honestly, I don't mind one lazy and online week, but don't divulge me!
We ended up have movie night but most fell asleep before the end! We all are tired from the daily stress. Mental fatigue is as serious as physical one!

Chris, I'm sorry for your back! Hope to feels better soon! Hope also that Cordelia will be fine! Sending you positive vibes!
Well if your best friend have multiple pets then yes they will be company one each other.

I came at O for one birthday party, and fell in love and never gone. Maybe I mistake, but it's roll in my mind that I first started to post at the Daily O when you was adopted dog, Whiskey maybe?! Uff my memory is foggy these day. I wanted to congratulate you for your new dog, I think it was W. I was already read the thread few weeks before I have the courage to join! I'm still very nervous that even non members have access to open diary, and sieve lots of things, but also share so much here that it's madness, lol! I actually still like very much one of the first layouts I made here and I'm afraid I'm not going better than that. But also had some really awful made only to fit the rules for challenge. I deleted lots of layouts last year.

Trudy, fingers crossed that we will be able free to get together with our families very soon! My sister is so tired from all these tests and days lost in self isolation! But also I was wonder if your kids was at the same town, would you talk so much with them as now? I was sit and counted that when we was in same house we didn't talk so much as now, and it's not as we have more things to talk about, lol!

By the way girls did you saw birthday bull Gary? This layout made my giggle! ;);):p

Linda, I'm addicted to lipstick, I still wear it under the mask.

Jean, how lovely to share also virtual lunch and have this long meeting!

good evening - well on Thursday my Devils defeated the Penguins but today they lost to the Penguins and tomorrow they play the Penguins again. They have been close games so that is good. Had a great day with my youngest and his MG. We went bike shopping. My DH could not go as he had an open house at his university. It is unbelievable how they have changed. But at least bikes are back in stock. They said last year they could not keep bikes in stock. The bikes these days have such large tires it is unbelievable as compared to my bike's thin tires. It was so different going to a real bike shop instead of just going to a toys r us or Sears stores as I did with my kids in the old days. I am now excited to really get my bike back in shape and see if I can actually still ride the bike safely. I had wanted a step through bike but they just seemed so big. But the kids are happy with the new bikes and sent me a video of them riding their bikes. Next week we are going back and getting the kids their first bikes. That should be fun. I am glad I don't have to have high expectations of long distances as the kids will probably not last too long. While waiting for the bikes to be readied we ate at a really good Mexican restaurant that was across the street from the bike shop. Again it was so strange there were only 4 other people eating inside so was really safe feeling. Food was yummy too! Came home and took Luther for a walk as the weather was gorgeous. Blue skies and not much wind and up near 60 degrees.

@faerywings Chris OMgosh that is terrible about your back. Both my DH and former boss both had back problems but once they did exercised to strengthen their cores they have not had problems. But I remember both being in lots of pain. So sorry you cant make it to the FP. Hope Cait did ok at the vet. The poor Cordelia. I am enjoying the weather though. Thanks for the donuts.

@bcgal00 Rae so glad that Remi is doing so much better. Bummer about sleep though. It is a good thing that she settles right down.

@taxed4ever Trudy hope the weather continues to hold out so you can get chores done.

@LSlycord Linda I feel so bad for those with back problems. Glad your has stabilized. I found that when I went on high blood pressure medicine my occasional migraines completely went away. I think for me anyway that getting my BP under control took the pressure of the blood vessels in my brain. Congrats on the vaccine.

@scrap-genie Jean that is a long meeting and love that makes sense to eat while the meeting goes on. I feel you know so much you could be one of those crime solvers who use genealogy to catch the bad guys. Glad the redpolls are still resting and eating at your feeder before heading north.

@Cherylndesigns I would be going crazy if I had to sit in the drive way of a neighbor just to have wifi. Things have changed as years ago if I was in my kitchen I used my wifi but if I sat in my living room I used a neighbors. Then I read about all the hacking that we upgraded to wifi with password protection. I still think that your internet provider in OK should be working with you all to get you what you need.

@felis I know we had a great first day of spring. Sorry you are getting the rain! loved your cow!

Thanks for the bits of Oscraps history. Loved the old pages. Things have changes.

Have a great day!

Hello my lovelies. I've been MIA all day - but I'm back. I've been dragging through some things that I had to get done on the computer. UGH - as always - it wears me out.

@faerywings Chris - did you figure out what a 5th wheel is? It's a "camper" that you pull. Theirs is actually a "glamper" - huge and luxurious but I still wouldn't want to live in it since last December. I looked for a couple of pictures of their and I finally found one - it really doesn't show how big it is, but my BIL had to buy a new truck with a diesel engine to pull it. It's very luxurious inside, too - all state-of-the-art.

I got a card done last night so hoping I can do a few more of the challenges. Hope everybody is well - we've had a quiet evening and have been relaxing and watching Netflix.

Love and hugs to all.

Welp, I did it. I think I happy-danced far too hard in my head and now my back is paying for it. [oops smilie] All day it was uncomfortable but the pain was tolerable. I guess rolling around in my sleep aggravated and it is much worse today. I know it is going to end up triggering pain and soreness in my entire back since I will hold myself stiffly even though I should be relaxing my muscles.

I was able to sit at my desk pretty comfortably yesterday and hope I can do that a bit today. I started a scrap page for a March challenge and now I want to finish it. It is looking kind of neat so far.
However, even if I do nothing else this weekend, I had one BIG accomplishment. I scored an appt for Caitlyn! She gets her first dose on Tuesday. I am so relieved. Gary had to wake her up so I could finish the appt and she was so groggy that she didn't seem to care either way. Later on, she gave me hugs and told me I am the best mom and how much she appreciates it - and... she is one step closer to kissing the boy she likes. hahahahah!!!!

I am relieved that I was able to get into the shower yesterday because I am not sure how I am going to do that today. I know we have baby wipes somewhere. The question becomes can I reach them wherever they are hiding? ;) I have to spend some time here in the gallery and with the party but it looks like sitting for a long period of time isn't going to go so well either.

Enjoy your day, dear O-Fam!!!

@LSlycord Looking back at my early LOs makes me realize how time truly zips along. Same when I see pics of your "babies." :)

@bcgal00 How was Remi's vet appt? I hope that she is able to get on some meds and not have them affect the rest of her system. Give her and Taz some belly rubs and healthy treats. Here's to better backs! (soon, please!)

@taxed4ever Oh my goodness, look at that scrap page! I love it! I saw one thing on the news that might be good for Canada- the US is shipping AstraZenca doses to you soon. I hope that means that you and the family can get vax'd and that your summer visit all set!!! I am sending such good thoughts that it will happen!

@scrap-genie That makes me smile so much, that your meetings have now incorporated lunchtime breaks to chat with each other. You have adapted so well to the Zoom Life.

@felis-feel free to blame me for your lack of beach body. I am blaming myself for my own LOL! happy Spring to you too! It is supposed to be sort of warm today. I hope that you get some breaks in the rain since that will help your mood/fatigue. It has to be depressing to go back into lockdown again. hugs!
I wonder which dog it was that we adopted? I peeked at your profile and you joined in March 2015 and we adopted Jaida in May 2015. Whisky was in Sept 2017. I am so happy that you joined us, I remember in the beginning you struggled with the language issues and seemed shy about posting but we love having you here!
That card cracked me up- reminded me of my Gary ROTFLMBO

@nancyr Did your DS and MG pick out some bikes? Be careful when you take your bike out again. I know that your knees will be much happier now than they were a few years ago. No doubt it will be a blast taking MGs kids out on bikes.
Cordelia's visit didn't go so well. She has a tumor and b/c of her age (she is 2 1/2) she isn't a good candidate for surgery. At this point it is was watch it and if it grows very quickly, reassess the situation.
Enjoy the weather today! Looks wonderful out there.

@Cherylndesigns I am so sorry that you are still struggling with computer problems. I see what a 5th wheel is now. I am with you, sounds nice to be state of the art but I think I would prefer something more solid. How did they do when the weather was so cold?

Bye for now, going go and hobble back to bed...

Good morning, ladies. Remi got a free visit at the vet yesterday. No charge, he said I had earned a freebie after all the time and money I have spent there lately. Remi has two scabby sores which apparently are from getting the IV treatments for 10 days. One side is about 1" long and he said she may need antibiotic cream if the scab comes off and there is a gaping hole underneath, but it is not dangerous, it will heal. We'll put her on flea meds in a few weeks but will let her system settle down for a bit first. Today was the last day of meds. For the first time, tomorrow, she will be medication-free. Tues she will 3 mths old.

I did some menu planning for the week and am curious to try a new recipe for cold pasta salad tonight that I will put smoked tempeh, avocado and veggies into. The sauce is made with hummus, yogurt and spices.

@faerywings glad you can sit in your chair a bit. Really hope your back feels better soon.

I've got a busy day ahead so need to get at it. Enjoy your day, everyone. BFN

Hi Ladies... it has been a busy morning, but then the days that my DH are home are always busy LOL. We are trying to get the form for the dispute over my OAS payments and of course the Govt website is just a nightmare to try and find anything on! So I will have to be quick in and out of here again today! I really hope to spend some more time at the Party and get my page done for the Day 3 Challenge!! White space is something that I really struggle with so it will be a good challenge for me! I need to catch up on commenting also, I am not a very good host for the Avatar Challenge am I !!

@faerywings - How great that you got the vaccine appt. for Cait! I will be happy to wait a bit for mine if I can get the J&J one. One shot and you are done!! That's the way to go! I know I am picky LOL. Hope that your back feels better soon! Are you able to get any muscle relaxers to take from the drug store or could your Dr. phone in a prescription for you?? Do you have a heating pad that you can put on your back? Thanks for loving my page for Day 1! I had so much fun doing it! Hope that you can get your page done too!

@bcgal00 - That is awesome that you got to have a freebie visit to your Vet and sure sounds like Remi is recovering nicely! Hope that the scabs heal well and that the flea meds get rid of those nasty critters!

@nancyr - How fun to be getting your bike back on the road! Have you tried the new Ebikes? My brother and SIL both have them and they love them! However they are very pricey!! Hope your Devils do well against the Penquins we are not doing well with our Bruins as so many have contracted Covid! Yikes wonder when they will play again?

@felis - Sorry you are getting the rain! We are also and we had the same kind of movie night, where we both fell asleep in the middle of the movie, now we will have to try to watch it again LOL! Yes I did see that Birthday Bull and it made me giggle too! Hope you are having fun at the Party I need to see what you have created over the past couple of days!

Ok DH needs my help with a couple of things for the taxes etc. So I will say good-bye for now and try to get in here later on this afternoon.

Good evening O'ladies! The day has gotten away. I did get a layout done for the birthday challenge. I'm finally getting more comfortable with scrapping again. Yesterday I did a page for one of the March challenges and I did a lot of blending...first time I had done anything like that since I've been back.

Back to work in the morning...that makes me a little sad. I thought I would get more done but I ran out of time. Uh...yeah...that's how it always goes. Brian did get his J&J vaccine. Had a few symptoms...fever and aches...but think he is better this evening. And whatever the symptoms, so much better than getting the virus!

@taxed4ever good luck on the tax stuff. Your government sounds no better than ours for getting things organized.

@BrightEyes I am so sorry that you are still suffering symptoms from the 2nd shot. Hopefully you will turn the corner soon. We miss you but want you to get well!

@bcgal00 just amazed to hear how well Remi is doing. And the vet is right...you definitely deserved a free visit!

@faerywings I hope that your back has gotten better as the day has moved on. And such good news about Cait!!!! Woo hoo!!!

@Cherylndesigns, @nancyr, @felis waving a quick hi to all! Hope you all have nice weather ahead for this week.

good evening - well today has been wonderful with the weather just blue skies and in the 60s. I slept from 10:30pm to 9am. I guess I was tired. My DH walked Luther in the am and I was going to walk him in the afternoon after the Devils game but my son and his MG texted that were coming down to our town to ride their bikes. But before they got here my old son stopped by to drop off his homemade venison chili. I cant eat it but they all thought it was awesome. He laughed and said he rides motorized bikes. So my DH took mine of its stationary set up. OMgosh it was so tricky to get on but once on it was fine to ride. My DH was so awesome as I figured out how to get on the bike. Stopping was fine and I can stand flat footed with out the bar hitting me. I knew I was not up to riding for a long distance but I did make it around our neighborhood. I also found my helmet and my garmin. My garmin tells the speed and how far I go and also where I am. It felt so good to be on my bike. I am sure I will just stay in my neighborhood until I am more comfortable. It is so weird how different our bikes are. So then my son and his MG continued on for an hour. When they came back we walked downtown to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant. They even recognized us LOL. They have the best food and desserts and hot chocoate. It was still light out when we left so that was so nice. There were only 2 other diners so we were completely socially distant. So I feel very happy today. Also my Devils defeated the Penguins in OT. It was exciting. So the Devils actually won 2 of the 3 games against the Penguins. They are now on the road for 6 games. They seem to play better on the road so that is good. On a weird note. I don't know whether this was a nightmare or just a strange dream. I was dreaming I could not breathe. It was like in the dream I had to wake myself up to breathe. Then I did wake up so not sure if I was not breathing for real. I did not ever feel out of breath when I woke up so really not sure what that was about but I still remember it.

@faerywings Chris congrats on getting the appointment for Cait! That is so cool! I am sure she is so happy. That is horrible about your back still hurting. And yes it seems that the more it hurts the more you tense when you should be relaxing. Hope you can scrap a bit.

@taxed4ever Trudy yes you and your MG are always busy. Seems like he likes to be busy LOL. Yes I saw that the Bruins are having multiple players on the Covid list. I sure hope that they were just in contact with a person and not that they all have it. The young man that helped us with the bikes said he had Covid and he still has no sense of smell or taste. He says he has lost 14 lbs as food has no taste. Hope you don't have too much rain. I did not look into an e-bike. I still might but I do love my bike. Good luck with the government. It always makes me so mad when they talk in the US about social security being like some sort of handout when in reality it is something we pay into with each paycheck we receive. It is our money that we loan to the government and they should be happy to give it back when we need it.

@BrightEyes Kay take care and rest and read.

@bcgal Rae that was nice of your vet to not charge you for the visit. I am sure you and Remi are keeping them in business this month. Wow I cant believe she is 3 months. Have fun with her and Taz.

Waving to all

Hi my lovies,

Bet you thought I'd flown the coop. We worked all day outside (did you hear that Chris @faerywings - outside????) Where's that rub it in emoji? Come to thing of it - where's that whack me upside the head emoji???? ROTF

Anyway, Ava started making our shutters today - she's a whirlwind, let me tell you. She set up her miter saw on a table on our back porch and went to town. She bought all of the wood (that we needed) from Lowe's - so she didn't get enough for the whole house, but she got enough for the front porch window and one side.

She saw, glued and nail gunned the shutters and Adrienne and I stained them. They're not hung yet because we want to put a coat of clear coat on them. Of course, it's supposed to rain tomorrow, so we had to move everything onto the front porch. Looks pretty tacky out there. Hahaha I took pictures but they're not transferred onto my laptop yet.

Linda @LSlycord sorry you have to go back to work, UGH. I remember never getting as much done as I'd planned on. Good luck.

Key @BrightEyes sorry you're still not feeling better! Sending you hugs.

@faerywings Chris, I didn't know you were having such bad back problems. Sorry, I've been under that rock again. After staining shutters all day, I can hardly walk - my fall from a few days must still be lingering in there. Wish we could help each other "crip" around. That's so awesome that you got Cait an appt. We're still waiting on a call. The first day they said we could get the J&J one (only 1 required) or the other 2 (2 shots). Our youngest DD is a nurse and she said to get the one. Now, they're having trouble getting it. She said that we should get whatever we can get now! Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow.

Waving to all and sending a big group hug.
