Who needs coffee or tea on this fine Saturday morning? It is fine here in NJ because is sunny. Not because it feels like Spring because it most definitely does *not.* We are back into the 20s and the wind woke me up a lot last night and is still going strong. It was nice to have the warmer temps while they lasted and I am focusing on them coming back. Soon. ;)

I have no idea what I did yesterday, I did scoop the lawn again since more snow had melted. Laundry, dinner, same old stuff. Gave lots of Cheerios to the rats. The babies are healing up wonderfully. It is crazy how in a week they are back to normal, the incisions are closed up and almost 100% healed, just waiting on their fur to grow back and cover the scars.
Nothing much happening here today again. I wish I could get some incentive to *do* something.
Who wants to give me ideas (orders!) on what to do? :p

Kay- I hope that the side effects aren't too bad for you, take care and rest up. That is fantastic news about your sister getting off oxygen. That was a long time to be on it. You will have so much to catch up with when she comes out to see you.

Rae- still sending hugs to you all
I looked it up, Your Honor is on Showtime and we don't get that, maybe it will come to Hulu at some point. I will keep my eyes open for it in the future.

@taxed4ever Hunter must have been thrilled to see Pops! Not that he wouldn't;t be happy to see you too, but Pops is an extra special treat since he doesn't get to see him as often. (But I bet that he still prefers you to read to/with him! LOL!!)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, how wonderful to get a massage! How awesome do you feel??
Some of the people at your Town Pool are forgetting about that first word- town- aren't they? Hmmph Good for you to get out for a hike next week with your friend!

@Cherylndesigns -So happy that you are able to get your vax! Wonderful news! You and Dasiy must have been so happy on that walk, I can't imagine the way 75* feels! (Soon, Faery...soon...)

Did I mention that we can't find W's halter? It was always on the hook with the leashes and now we can't find it. I am wondering if I should just get a new one? But that makes me wonder if I should get the same kind- A Gentle Lead halter that goes over her face like a horse or one that goes over/around her shoulders and chest?
Dog owners, any advice?

Hugs to everyone!

Really short note: My blood pressure shot up yesterday and stayed up for several hours. Finally came down... but not down to the levels that are normal for me. Just checked it and it is still higher than normal... so will be resting today. Still have a slight headache and the arm is sore along with some heat in it. CYL

Happy Saturday ladies... late in getting here as I actually slept in until 8:15am, that never happens! Must be because of my relaxation massage I had yesterday! It was heavenly and the lady that did my treatment was really good, she does more of a deep tissue kind of massage, just the way I like it LOL. This morning had a long conversation with a friend that I have known since kindergarten, her Dad is in Hospice and we had a really good chat. She is doing well and her Dad is 93 yrs old with COPD he has been palliative for about a year now and bed ridden he wanted to die at home, but it was just getting to be too much for his wife to handle. Home care could only come and help them in the early mornings which really did not help them out at all. I should say that his wife is his second wife, he married her about a year after my friends Mom passed away from Cancer, this new wife is younger than my friend and me. That is a whole other story though and I won't go into it here. Anyway it was great to hear her voice and to catch up with her! They are really missing travelling, just like the rest of us, however they went to Hawaii almost every winter, so they will be happy to be able to go again hopefully next winter. It is going to be warm and sunny today so I think we will be spending lots of time cleaning up the backyard. DH is doing burgers tonight HORRAY!! The cushions are out on the front porch and the gravity chairs are going to be brought out and placed on the upper front deck so we can spend lots of time out there and enjoying the view and the sun! Wish you could all come and join me for a glass of wine later on today!

@faerywings - How strange that you have suddenly lost W's halter?? Is that ghost playing tricks on you again?? I am sorry but I don't know much about what are the best for your fur baby, but I would think that one that fits over the shoulder and chest would be most comfortable. But what do I know?? LOL. Happy that the sun is shining at your place, but sorry that the wind is so chilly and the temps have dropped. Hopefully that wind is blowing some warmer spring air into your area! I know what you mean about not having any incentive to do anything! If DH was not home today I am sure I would be doing absolutely nothing today.

@BrightEyes - Oh dear, that does not sound good that your blood pressure has suddenly shot up! Darn it is a shame that the second shot is having that kind of effect on you! Please take it easy and hopefully you will feel back to normal soon!

Well I better get my work clothes on and get busy. Have a great Saturday ladies!

Hello ladies!
I'm feeling bored these days. Really don't know what to write and even can't find what to reply. Snow melted fast and this weekend we are back to warm spring weather. It feels like seasons change in days not in weeks, everyday is different.
Unfortunately my mom's best friend is tested positive. She feels not too bad, just as regular cold. But her husband was so mad on her for losing their income that she live in endless scandals, and often phone call to momy to cry. Locked together is challenging for the marriage that is crapy anyway.

Chris, I'm never use Gentle Leader , he still just pulls me in every direction and I'm trying to train him at some point, so far humiliatingly unsuccessful. He have to wear muzzle whether or not, so I don't see much of sense to own both.

Kay, I hope you'll feel normal very soon!

Rae, the news sounds quite encouraging!

Trudy, a glass of wine on the porch must be lovely!
Sometimes I feels like it have whole abyss between my and Canadian way of thinking. What means "too much for his wife to handle"?! When you get married you hope to get someone's money for sure, but you agre to provide some care for that, that's the whole f*** deal! And what kind of kids allows they parent to end at Hospice?! Practically the only reason someone to waste its youth having kids, is to raise someone that will give back that care at its elders years. Sons usually hire nurse care, and daughters (as I'll do some day) only outside women/men for bath, because is strange to help on your dad for this. But beside this what's the point to have child and to end in Hospice?

Oh no, Kay! Do you think it's from the vaccine? That's scary - I don't know what to expect Mon/Tues, but it's better than getting Covid, right? We must keep telling ourselves that. Love and hugs,

Oh no Trudy, @taxed4ever I'm so sorry about your friend's dad, but it sounds like he's in the place he should be. I know it must have been good to talk to your friend and I'm SURE it helped your friend more than you know. Sometimes we're just a blessing and don't even know it.

Burgers sound divine and I'd LOVE to join you in a glass of wine. I'm drinking one right now, so here's a cyber toast *clink* and we're going to drink a glass together. Isn't it wonderful how *cyber stuff* works?????

Felis @felis I'm sorry you're feeling bored. That's not a good feeling. When I'm feeling that way, I start looking at online galleries and hopefully pull out of it. I have some good books waiting for me to read, also. Sending love and hugs.

Chris, @faerywings where could have that harness have gone to? Trace back your steps - where did you have it last? That usually (not always) works for me. I lose my glasses all the time, so I'm the champ at this. ROTF We're loving our beautiful weather, but we have heavy rains forecast - flash flooding even. We have Lily (granddog) again today. She's so full of energy and drives poor Daisy crazy. Daisy is pretty darned patient with the little pest, though. Lily eats Daisy's food and drinks her water and Daisy just sits and watches her and waits for her to get done. it's SO cute - you'd love it. I'm SO happy that your weather is FINALLY getting nice. Be careful of those dog poops in the melting snow. Isn't it crazy how many there are that "spring up" as the snow melts?????

Love and hugs to everybody and waving.

@Cherylndesigns I have pile with started books: the love, sci fi and philosophical are left after first two-tree chapters, and I was able to finish only one criminal novel.
So cute to have both dog together!
Oh, about the internet, I want to show you this video, and I swear I don't laugh on you, just hope it can bring you some fun! :)

Hi everyone. Just got my computer back up and running and luckily it wasn't too expensive. All of Remi's costs have depleted our chequing acct but it could have been worse I guess b/c at least we didn't have to go into our savings acct. But...she sure has turned out to be an expensive dog (but worth it).

LR has messed up my photo organization so I figure this is a good time to start sorting thru them and getting them properly stored on 2 EHDs. I bought a duplicate photo finder and will first go thru my photos which will take awhile (as I have thousands of photos) looking for and deleting duplicates. Then I will copy that drive onto another EHD.

Haven't scrapped yet but have some CT work I'll start on tomorrow.

Remi continues to have good energy and no vomiting today so the sulcrate and anti-nausea have helped with the giardia med today. Hopefully now the vomiting has ceased and she'll continue to heal.

@BrightEyes Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Is this a side effect of the vaccine?
@felis I agree, relationships that aren't strong can really suffer during COVID.
@taxed4ever Enjoy the burgers. I'd have a glass of wine with you if I was there :)

I'd better go, the dogs want to go outside. BFN

Good morning. I don't know where last week went...really I don't. And that was before we sprang forward. Springing forward is not my idea of a good time...but it must be done. One of our Senators really promotes the idea of never changing times again so always being on what is Daylight Savings Time. So there are lots of articles promoting that which creates lots of articles saying why it is better to stay on Standard Time year round. I honestly don't have a huge preference...I liked Standard time in Iowa and I like Daylight Savings time here...but I don't care. But I do wish that they would pick a time and leave it.

I got my Covid vaccine on Tuesday and it went fine. Second one is set for first week of April. It feels good to have that behind me and I will be happy when Brian can have one as well. I am hopeful that he will be able to get started in May. Shaun is 18 so he is old enough that he can get vaccinated as well. I am thrilled with that.

We are having friends over for dinner tonight. They are the people that we have continued to see during Covid...they live next door and he is retired and she doesn't work and they have stayed very safe. Both are fully vaccinated and their friendship has kept us sane during the past year. I think that we are having grilled chicken, strawberry spinach salad and lemon mousse. Trying out a couple of new recipes...I love to try new recipes and they are both willing guinea pigs. So I need to get over to the grocery store which I hate doing. I also have to get at least two layouts done today.

I'll be back in a bit to do some personals.

Happy Sunday!! I was soooo darn excited this morning. I woke up, looked at my clock, and saw that it was almost 7 am. I can't tell you the last time I slept that late. Nice! Then I remembered it was DST and I slept until almost 6 am- the normal time for my body to give up on sleeping. LOL How many of you did the same? :D

Good news, I think I am done with Christopher's book, or I will be done today. I scrapped one last page, I just need to make sure it is good to go before I upload it. Then I will go over each page, double-check for spelling errors, etc. If I get it ordered today, that will be the earliest I ever had it done. Having the coupon expire at the end of the month sure helped my motivation.
My ILs popped up for a few minutes, they have a friend who ordered too much insulin and was looking to donate it so they had 12 vials of the insulin Gary uses. They came inside for the first time in a year as well. My dogs were so happy to have "company" and J was rolling all over to get belly rubs.
Caitlyn caught up on all of her homework, this past week she was swamped with it so she was thrilled to have everything cleared for now. We started a puzzle that she got me last year- it is of deer and bears playing poker and hunters heads are mounted on the walls- it is very cute! It is a cartoon, so not grisly! Or would that be "grizzly?" (Sorry. Bad pun.)

Not much again here today, but I have to wash and blowdry my hair which will take about an hour. I wish my hair was straight. It is the only way I can keep it somewhat neat and in a braid, blowing it out straight. At least I don't feel that it has to be perfectly straight. That would probably take two hours. Then again, what else I am doing with my time? :D

Have a fab day!!
xoxo

@BrightEyes How is the BP doing today? Think it is from the shot? Thankfully, my mom didn't have that side effect, although if she did, would she tell me? pfft. Take it easy again!

@taxed4ever ahhhhhh-- how wonderful to have a massage and then sleep so deeply!
I am so sorry to hear about your friend's father. Is she able to visit him at all? Such a sad time for her. How were the burgers on the grill? A perfect ending to a day outside in the sun. Wish I could be there with a glass of wine with you too! That is what I am wondering about the halter- We thought it slipped under the stairs in the basement but when Gary looked, it wasn't anywhere to be found. It is bright pink so it should be able to be seen easily. We still never found his missing motorcycle glove either. Silly house!

@felis- I know what you mean. I am so bored- yesterday I was literally walking around the house complaining that I was bored but couldn't be bothered to actually *do* anything. I am sorry to hear your mom's friend tested positive and hopefully her husband will stop making her feel bad about it.

@Cherylndesigns No wine for me as it is 9 am but I will clink glasses with you in solidarity. *clink*
I would love to see Lily and Daisy together. It sounds awful, but since Ray is gone, I have more time to play and snuggle with J and W. I didn't realize how much time and attention Ray needed. I miss her, of course, but it has been nice to focus on those two crazy ones. I am going to have to show Caitlyn your LOs with Daisy. She asked me for a Remi update so we looked at Rae's FB page and saw Remi, Taz, and Bella and she was swooning over Rae's photos of the black squirrels. I am sure she is going to adore Daisy too!

@bcgal00 Great news about your computer! I can't wrap my head around how many photos you must have. As I said to Cheryl, Caitlyn and I spent a lot of time enjoying your pictures yesterday.
That has to be a really good sign that Remi is continuing to improve. Still sending good thoughts to you and her!

@LSlycord Ain't it the truth? Where in the world does time escape to? I prefer DST but I agree, just keep it that way. For me, it makes more sense to have extra light at the end of the day when people are busier after work. I feel bad for all of the parents trying to convince their kids to sleep and eat at the "right" time again. And dogs.
How was your dinner with your neighbors? Everything sounds delicious!

Hugs to you all!

Another quick in and out today. The BP went down to normal yesterday afternoon... I didn't do anything but read, nap and veg all day. Just checked it and it is back up but not into the scary range, thank goodness. So won't be doing anything but reading, napping and vegging again today. Pretty sure this was my body's reaction to the 2nd dose... but it is worth it to have the protection. No headache this morning and just a slight bit of heat in the injection site.

Have to add that I hate going on to DLS.... wish they would wake up and leave the time alone. It isn't really needed anymore!

Morning ladies... another Sunday morning spent bottling a lovely white wine this time its a New Zealand Style Sauvignon Blanc. The Eagles are playing in the background and all is good at our house this morning LOL. Today I need to get the laundry started and the bathrooms cleaned, hopefully a bit more yard work. It has been sprinkling this morning, but looks like it might clear up soon. Got lots done yesterday, so many dead leaves and fir cones to rake up. Really need to power wash the back fence as it really got green over the winter, yuck!!

@faerywings - Congrats on getting Christophers album done in record time this year! WTG!! I have so many half done projects on the go and wonder if I will ever get them done! Nice for Caitlyn to have all of her homework completed it must be a big weight lifted off of her shoulders! Yes my friend is able to visit with her Father, it is good because she went almost a year without speaking to him at all!! Things were not good when he re-married this much younger woman, but all is resolved and they are now good friends and everyone is happy! She says her Father loves the new hospice and says it is more like a fancy hotel than a hospital. That is good to hear! It is a beautiful new building and so tastefully decorated! I am sure it is a peaceful place to spend your last days. I bet that when you get another new leash for W that shortly after you will find the missing one LOL. Happy that you got a visit in with the in-laws, wow that is crazy that it is the first time in so long that they have been inside your house. I am hopefully that soon this will all be behind us, but I know that it won't be for some time yet.

@bcgal00 - Hooray for your computer being fixed! I bet you missed having it! Sorry that your vet bills have taken such a big chunk out of your chequing acct. But like you say it will all be worth it! Happy that Remi continues to improve! It would be nice if you could be here for a glass of wine with me! Perhaps one day??

Sorry ladies its time to fill the bottles so I gotta run, but will catch up with the rest of you soon! Hugs to everyone!! Have a great Sunday!

Good morning ladies. I'm waiting for a call back from the vet. Remi's stools are getting worse and worse, now with blood. I know it can take some time for the medication to work but I wasn't expecting it to continue to get worse like this. Poor little thing. She doesn't feel well and won't even eat her little training treats now. I am stressed about her situation and am trying to keep busy and not dwell but just wanted to pop in and say good monring and ask for prayers and good thoughts for Remi.

Have a good day everyone.

Hello girls!
It was a lovely warm spring sweater weather day! It's so nice to wide open the windows and clean on that! It's not like exciting day, but it was satisfying at least!
Tomorrow will have to go order another pair of glasses. I'm not much excited to go out, but can't ordering from site using my own frames. I have cute pair and want finally to use them! And I have to prove my own tenet to not allow life to be postponed!
The DST here happens on 28th and I think this must be the last year we will do it. It's maybe helpful at winter as it's dangerous to get back from work/school when it's dark, but I really not care now.

@LSlycord Linda, what happened with your eye check? Did you get your glasses replacement? I had similar story, my ophthalmologist was very rude, and few acquaintances was catch her to mess their prescriptions. So I postponed my appt past few time. But finally got decision to change her and visited new place. Really love the new one and will stick with her!
How nice to be friends with your neighbours and can put them in your bubble! Hope you enjoyed the dinner!

Chris, this is exact the description on how I'm feeling now! I'm proud of you for finished Christopher's book early! Hope your hair will turn well!

Kay, take it easy, girl! Reading, napping and vegging sounds as a great plan!

Trudy, your day sounds similar to mine. Except the part for bottling wine, so I think it's fair to send me some! LOL! Just for equality.

Rae, hugs you, my dear! Did you remember that my cat got side reaction to the meds and was really critical on Christmas, but then the vet replace the prescription and she was healed! Just stay strong! Remi couldn't have better owner! It's just take loooong time and effort!

Happy Daylight Saving Time! (At least I like it.)
And Happy Pi Day. For those who write today as 14/3 it doesn't make sense, but in the US it is written 3/14. Here are LOs I did the last two years:
and here's the link to this year's Pi song by our friend, a retired math teacher
Spring signs are now abundant and it's a sunny day though still not warm.

Wishing you all a good week.

I am around. Not doing much in the area of getting out. Maybe a short walk each day nothing more. I have a huge jigsaw I am working on a bit at a time. Lots of reading until my eyes blur over then I stop and get a cup of tea. Other than that I lurk in the background.

Hello all! It's been a busy day but I didn't get much accomplished. Don't you puzzle over days like this? I was on the phone a lot today - what a time chewer that is. But, it's necessary to stay in touch with everybody. Chris @faerywings I'm not sure how we cross posted, but it was evening when I was having a glass of wine. ROTFLMBO If I started drinking during the day, I'd be in bed for a nap. The LO I created for my Birthday Challenge has a picture of Lila laying on my lap - so be sure to show Cait Lila. She's about half the size of Daisy. Those two dogs are CRAZY together. We laugh so hard at them running outdoors. They have so much fun together. She loves Chuck because he always carries treats in his pocket. Did you ever see "As Good As It Gets"? Jack Nicholson always carried bacon in his pocket and Gregg Kinear's character couldn't figure out why his dog liked Grumpy Jack better than him. Hahahaha

Well, it finally happened - I took a tumble yesterday - Lila was running at Daisy and Daisy pulled me right off my feet. Unfortunately, I was up on some rocks (the dogs had run up to greet one of the workers) - I've fallen twice and broke my wrist once and last time, my foot. I'm terrified of falling ever since. I thought I was okay, but I wrenched myself and today my right hip and leg is going numb. Chiropractor here I come tomorrow. Of course, I fell on my wrist that I broke and twisted my bad foot. NOT good! I honestly think I just lost my footing on the rocks. I wasn't happy!

Braden and Alyssa are gone for spring break - it's weird not having them around. Ava didn't come over for dinner either, so it was just us four adults tonight. Adrienne and Roger left early (we're all stunned over the time change) and we watched an episode of Call The Midwife.

All of you are talking about your eyes - I really need to go. We found out that there are no eye specialists here except at the Cherokee Clinic and you have to be Cherokee to go there. We're going to have to go to Tulsa - UGH - I was afraid of that. We're going to start out with an optometrist here and go from there. I was seeing a retinal specialist in Florida and need to go see one in the next few months.

Well, since I've gotten next to nothing done today, I need to probably just go to bed. My biorhythms are all goofed up from this time change. This happens to me every year when we spring forward. Falling back never seems to bother me.

Waving to all and sending hugs.

@felis, I get my glasses on Wednesday. They had fired the rude woman and the new woman really listened and all of a sudden she said, “Oh we have the progressive line in the wrong place, so we need to re-make these.” I’m cautiously optimistic.

@Cherylndesigns i am so sorry to hear about your fall. I am afraid of falling. Right before COVID, I had flown home from a work trip in Atlanta. Brian picked me up at the airport and it had. Been a long day of working then traveling home. Somehow I fell in the parking garage...really hard fall. I was afraid I had broken something. I hadn’t but it has made me extra cautious.
