I hope that all of you are walking up to a pretty day like I am. The sun is shining and I hear lots of birds chirping. I had to wake up early because I am going on an adventure today. Maybe that is a bit hyperbolic. Leah's mom, Arlene, called me yesterday and asked if I wanted to go with her to the Skylands Animal Sanctuary (Felis-- this is where the pics of Cait and Karen the Pig came from!). Caitlyn and I were saying on Monday that we really needed to go back. We wanted to go last summer but no one could get it together to do it. Scott and Leah are up at my parents' lakehouse, but I asked if Cait was invited too and she said of course! We get to spend the morning seeing cows and pigs and goats- all saved from factory farms and natural disasters like hurricanes. Nancy, do you remember the news story about the cow that escaped from a truck on Rt 80 a few month ago and then gave birth a couple of days later? I will get to see them!! Brianna & Winter
I am really excited to go there.
I woke up yesterday in a crummy mood, I was *not* looking forward to dealing with the ins. co. again. Gary talked some sense into me and said to call the one in Wayne, (45 mins away). In the grand scheme of things, an extra 15 minutes drive is not that big of a deal. I felt such relief! If at this point you are wondering how long that relief lasted, you would be correct in thinking "not that long."
I call the office to see if they still take my ins, she isn't sure and says she will call right back. Two hours pass and still no call back so I contact them again. And nope, of course, they don't take my ins. any more.
I call the ins. co. and the CS Rep goes through what I have been through and suggests that we look into hospital-based outpatient PT. Finally!! It is at the hospital where I spent most of my free time since 2014 so they have all of my info already in the system. LOL The first appt open isn't until the 19th but at least I have one.
I was able to wash all of the leaves of the lilies with neem oil soap so I hope that I saved them in time. They should be ready to bloom soon and they are so pretty when they do-- dark red and white. I did a bit more weeding and mulched the little garden patch (3' x 3') that has the cucumbers in it.
I don't have time for personals right now, but if I do after I get ready I will be back. If not, have a fab day and I will see you all tomorrow.
